You ever think that after LU was over, Legend couldn't stop thinking about Rulie and what he would have to go through after Hyrule fell? You think that Legend spent his life travelling, thinking about his descendant? Maybe once Legend became an old man and his life was hearing an end he found a magical potion, one that made him age slowly?

One that also took his memories away.

Maybe Legend took that potion and survived the downfall of his world while he stayed an old man. Maybe as the years went on he forgot everything, except that he had to help this little kid. He had to. Eventually, his wondering mind gives up and he sits in a cave, away from the world, clutching a sword he needs to give a young hero?

Why? Well because it's dangerous to go alone. That kid needs help. Legend doesn't know who that kid is anymore though. He cant remember why. He cant remember much any more ...
