I always love when Peter is extra spidery. Been a while since I watched the amazing spiderman movies ngl.
I imagine this takes place after Peter comes back home after the No Way Home movie, so he has a deeper understanding of just how broad and different his universe is.
He keeps being spiderman like he’s always been, but at maybe you show up as a coworker at his job, or just during the night when he’s patrolling, but soon you two are spending a lot of time together.
Seeing as Deadpool is conscious about being inside a comic or media, I have the idea that you to some degree know this too, meaning you make jokes about the multiverse, or memes that don’t exist in your universe.
You would crack jokes about Peter having gone to a different dimension too, and make comments about villains that don’t exist in your universe, which would be what really caught Peters attention.
The white and yellow voices you have are all for you flirting with peter, as peter and as spiderman, and it leads to you guys having a relationship kinda like comic spiderman and Deadpool.
In the beginning Peter isn’t really sure what to do about you, especially seeing as you kill people, but you are super friendly, affectionate, and call him your soulmate.
Youd grow on him over time, and Peter would start looking forwards to seeing you around. He would even start getting worried if you don’t show up for a bit, even though he knows you taken contracts as an assassin and a gun for hire.
Cue you guys teaming up more and more, and you killing less when he’s around. You can’t fully stop, it’s just not in your nature, but you’ll try for Peter, which he appreciates.
Patrol always ends up with you guys eating something, sitting on the edge of a building, masks pushed up over your noses as you guys talk about whatever it is you can think of. If you have scars like most versions of Deadpool, Peter would be surprised at first, but would never judge you or look down on you for having them.
It takes Peter a while to realize he’s got feelings for you, as there’s part of him that scared to lose you like he did Gwen. Sure, you could heal from an atomic explosion, but that doesn’t keep the guilt and anxious thoughts from existing.
Your always very verbal about being in love with Peter, as he’s your other half and perfect partner, in your own words. Your flirt with him, bring him gifts, ask him on dates after every patrol, or ask him for a kiss when you’ve gotten hurt even though you’re healing.
Imagine your surprise when one day, after you had gotten impaled by a lamppost or something, you have your mask tucked up over your nose. And when Peter asks if there’s anything else he can help you with, after he’s patched you up, you pucker your lips and tell him he could kiss you better.
And for once, instead of scoffing and laughing, he actually leans in and kisses you. You immediately bluescreen, eyes wide as saucers as he gives a little grin and salute before he swings off into the night.
After that you crank your advances even more, and you guys share many more kisses before anything becomes official. You’re both dancing around the subject, but there are clear sparks and feelings between you.
Peter still struggles with the fear of losing you and not being enough, and deep down you have many insecurities of your own, but at some point you guys finally become official.
That’s also the first time you get to see him without a mask, if you don’t know each other during your day life. You swoon, flopping down on the ground with an arm over your eyes and a hand on your heart, gushing about how handsome he is.
Peter leaves you completely flustered when he compliments you in return when you take your mask off, especially if you have the usual Deadpool scars. Your yellow and white voices both agree Peter was the right choice.
You guys start officially dating, and going out during the day as much as you do during the night.
You shower him in gifts, since you have a lot of money doing your gun for hire job, compared to his job of the moment. You have a much better finance than he does, since you can work whenever you want compared to him trying to work a day job and also be spiderman.
Some of his coworkers, or most honestly, think you’re weird when you stop by his workplace if he forgot his lunch, or to bring him something.
But they can also see just how smitten you guys are. They’re more likely to be jealous, since their own partners won’t look at them with as much look as you do when looking at Peter.
When you guys move in together, it’s in a brand-new apartment. Peters isn’t big enough for the both of you, and people who want you dead know your current address.
The apartment is kind of a mess, with all your different accessories, weapons, webshooters, suits, the likes, all over the place. But its perfect for you two and just what you need.
Theres just some kind of peace to be with someone who knows the others’ secret identity, and someone you don’t have to worry will get hurt because of your hero, or antihero, work.
Peter still struggles to hold a day job, since you are as scatterbrained as him, or since your own schedule is super wack, so you don’t notice if he’s late or missing work. You could easily finance the both of you, but Peter being Peter won’t accept being a freeloader in his eyes.
Sure, you still kill people for money and just because you feel like it, but it’s a lot less than you use too, and there are moments Peter needs to step in and reel you guys’ in. But it doesn’t lessen the love you guys have for each other in any way, and when things get tough, you always have one another when it matters.

The hidden story behind these few seconds.
(Originally, this post was going to be about "Meet the Parents Part 3," But I feel that since I was focusing so much in Jeff and Rio's reaction, so I decided to make a little post about her.)
I had been looking at this and thinking about it a lot, and hearing the dialogue and reflecting about the story. This moment means A LOT.
I see a lot of videos about Spider-verse, which I imagine makes sense considering how much I love this movie.
And in videos, in tiktoks and online as well, I had seen a lot of people been confused as to why Gwen tried to talk to Miles's parents instead of dipping out.
And you know what? I think the answer is in these few seconds, and what she does after.
Let's give context at this scene.
Gwen had realized that the Spider-society is bullshit, and not just because the system is corrupt, but also that canon can be defied, which means she can also help Miles defy canon if necessary. She knows she owes him that much, and she wants to make it up to him.
So she goes to 1610, wanting to talk to him to tell him the news, probably apologize and say that she is on his side.
Except, that there is no one.
But that's not the only thing, she also listens to his parents talk about the situation.
Tumblr media
She hears them talk about Rio trusting Miles, and being her idea to let him go (something Gwen of course didn't know.) Jeff may be angry, but you can hear that he is scared.
But funnily enough, what else he says?
Tumblr media
Look, is Jeff over his head and thinking the worst of Gwen? Yeah, and I will talk about it on the other post.
However, let's see this from Gwen's perspective.
Because she went to see Miles, she didn't look after the Spot, which went to Pavitr's dimension, and Miles followed her, then the joke villain became extremely powerful and threatened Miles. Now Miles is in who knows where, with Miguel and Spot hunting him down and his family.
Now, do I blame Gwen? No, she couldn't have predicted this, and she is a teen that is hurting and afraid. While I think she needs to apologize to Miles, I can't be mad at her (especially when she is doing all of this to MAKE IT UP TO HIM!)
But do I think the girl who couldn't had known debris was going to fall on top of the lizard, and that would be enough to make them human (because Gwen didn't know this was a human mind you,) and still feels like she failed him; would feel this is her fault?
Oh what do you think?
Tumblr media
And let me tell you, NONE of this is helping.
Gwen knows that Miles has a crush on her. She has seen the drawings, how he acts around her, what other people say. And now his mom, who saw them together for just a few minutes, can tell that Miles was shining around her.
That has to be a gut punch.
She knows Miles did what he did to help her, as well as because he is amazing. And she wants to be with him obviously, even if she before felt she couldn't.
And to top it all of, she is being confronted with the fact that Miles was right about his parents.
Let's remember that while Rio and Jeff assumed the worst of Gwen, she did something similar.
Tumblr media
So she is confronted with the fact that Miles is in the right about trying to save his dad, and that his parents are probably worth telling the secret (not to mention that now she knows there was still hope with her dad), and that if she hasn't interfered, none of this would had happened.
And she says so herself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And this, is why she is doing it.
Remember how I mentioned earlier about people tho didn't understand why Gwen did this? This is why.
She feels guilty, she feels horrible that she put Miles in this mess, and that Miles's parents are feeling this torn about this ordeal.
Sure, you could argue it may be better to not mention anything to his parents, to dip out and find a way to fix this mess before they know.
But I think she feels she owes Miles and his parents this much; she knows how much Miles loves his parents, and would probably appreciate a head-ups to them if it is necessary.
You know how I mention this was the scene where Gwen probably realized how right was Miles about his parents, and probably gained a new appreciation for them? I wonder if we would have the inverse scenario next movie.
Of Miles's parents realizing Gwen means well and adores their son, and would do the impossible and more for him.
If you like my work, please share and support me in ko-fi if you can, if not, please share this post!

The relationship / dynamic between TSAMS Sun and Solar is so important to me I'm going to explode like you're really just going to drop the fact that Solar's mindscape is literally shaped after a scene from Charlie and the chocolate factory not because he likes the movie (well, he off handily comments on it 'I did like the mike TV section I guess' but last part comes off as him trying to justify why his mind is based off of it rather than him actually confirming that he enjoys the movie) but because he watched it with ,assumedly, his Sun?? Solar doesn’t specify which Sun he is speaking of (technically, he normally does clarify if he's talking about his home dimension so he's probably talking about our Sun rather than his but let me pretend)
(Putting a cut because this ended up way longer than I thought it was)
Also, personal head cannon for why Sun hasn't really been around on TSAMS since Eclipse came back is because Solar would never forgive himself if he even let the possibility of his brother/cousin getting hurt by himself happen again. Solar has already expressed guilt about how he believes his Sun’s fate is his fault (which it totally wasn’t!! His Sun knew the risks and chose to put himself at risk for Solar’s sake, which honestly shows how close they were that they’d both sacrifice themselves for each other), there’s absolutely no way he’d let another Eclipse hurt a Sun. Like Solar would have literally sacrificed himself for the chance of his Sun getting better as seen back when Eclipse came back the first time and Moon wanted to blow him up with the satellite where he only asks Moon to try to fix his Sun in return for him litterally dying (Which I'm pretty sure Moon never does??) and the fact that he was (sort of) willing to have his original body taken apart by his Moon in the hopes that his Sun would be able to use it
Sun and Solar rarely have one on one interactions (honestly, the only time that really comes to mind is the candy corn video but even then Solar was sort of forced into that situation as he probably wouldn’t be able to get out of the day care without getting eaten or something lol) which I personally think is because of Solar’s guilt, whether it’s because seeing Sun reminds him of his Sun and what happened to him or if he feels like he doesn’t deserve to be friends with Sun after what he feels he did (which could also be why he distances himself from the rest of the family by making himself the ‘cousin’ even though the others see him as close, Moon calls him 'family' when he gives Solar his house address (which is obviously very important and personal information, showing how much he trusts him) and Earth and Lunar list him as their ‘sibling’ in their tier list video) or both
(Apologies if this comes off as very sporadic, it's just the first time putting it into words JFAWJKFKJWAKFJ Like every time I think about this I have to go pace around to calm down like ???? hello???)

please can i request headcandons of the spiderverse people finding out their best friend reader is the protege of Miguel O’Hara
Tumblr media
A/n: Miles’ head cannon is gonna be a bit angsty as it’ll probably take place during the events of the movie. So sorry if you wanted something fluffy.
Also I’m sorry for the severe lack of characters, I kinda ran out of ideas on how others would react. 🦦
Miles finding out that you, his best friend whom he probably said a-lot of embarrassing shit to out of the sheer comfortability level he had with you, were the protege of Miguel O’hara was definitely a wild ride.
Especially so considering all the shit he’s endured during his visitation of the Spider Society.
Naturally he’s going to feel hurt that you didn’t disclose this information to him because he thought you were genuinely good friends. But would be willing to hear you out on what you have to say because he genuinely wants to know why.
So when you tell him that the reason you were so quiet about being Miguel’s protege was the same reason why you didn’t disclose to Miguel that he was your best friend. You told Miles that your mentor would think you a vulnerability much like he did in regards of the relationship between Gwen and himself.
It’s not that you were ashamed of Miles, no, never. He’s your best friend and you loved him greatly and told him that pretty much every day whilst going out of your way to answer all his questions about the spider society when Gwen failed to do also, including stuff regarding his place in all of it.
Your friendship with Miles meant a lot more to you then being apart of some stupid society that was extremely selective on who they recruit.
But you understood and respected Miles’ need for space away from you to think on things before you then promptly left to head back to the spider society before Miguel grew suspicious of your whereabouts and who you were with.
Just give him some time. He’s been through enough and never got the chance to properly sit through his emotions.
Tumblr media
Hobie would probably look you dead in the eye as he’s holding you by the shoulders and in all seriousness says, ‘blink twice if your being held hostage by that tyrannical dictator prick.’
Hobie would’ve notice the similarities in you and Miguel fight almost instantaneously since he’s a very observant dude and if he was anyone else, he would’ve just shrugged it off as you imitating Miguel for shits and giggles.
But Hobie would definitely have an inkling that something was going off between you and Miguel long before you told him about being his protege. He thanked fuck it wasn’t anything romantic in the slightest.
Though he would defiantly have a few questions on why it was that you’d let yourself be taken under his wing. Were you dismantling the system from the inside out but we’re playing the long game like he was? Or were you made into being his protege without having a say in anything?
If it was the first one then he’d clap you on the back with pride but if it was the second one then he’d more then happily suggest in teaching him a lesson in trying to take advantage of his mate.
But if it was neither option and that you just really wanted to learn from him and grow to become a better, stronger, faster Spider-Person then Hobie would back off. Hobie trusts you enough to make your own decisions and to take care of yourself.
But that don’t mean he ain’t in your corner when the time comes because he is and always will be looking out for you no matter what and he’ll gladly intervene when he thinks Miguel is being too hard on you, or he just straights up takes you back to his dimension when he thinks you need a break from it all and spend time with him and causing chaos together.
Tumblr media
Gwen would’ve probably found out that you were Miguel’s protege when it seemed that whenever the big boss man had to go on a mission, he’d always have you pair up with him despite being quite capable at taking on anomalies on his own.
She’s observant in her own right but not to the same extent that Hobie is but that’s neither here nor there.
She thinks it’s pretty cool that her best friend was the protege of the big boss man himself, but knew that there was a lot of pressure and stress ridding on your shoulders when it comes go being the protege of man who created the Spider Society.
But I’d like to think that you’d both show off what Miguel/Jessica taught you to one another as you goof off in some other dimension together during a mission.
So now and then she makes sure that you’re okay after hard missions, whether they be solo or duo with your mentor, and making sure your eating, keeping yourself hydrated, but most importantly Gwen’s making sure you’re taking breaks in between tasks so you don’t become fatigued and burnt out later down the line.
Whilst originally thinking that you being Miguel’s protege was cool and all but she does worry about you, especially when he gets himself into a violent outburst and starts throwing shit with out rhyme or reason.
Gwen can’t help that she’s overprotective of you and wants to keep you safe even if your in a place that’s meant to be a safe space for all spider people. She’s already lost Peter and she wasn’t about to loose you too because your mentor didn’t think you were up to snuff. She didn’t want to be at the Spider Society if you weren’t and didn’t care if that made her more of a liability in her peer’s eyes.

I'm considering the idea of a yandere cheater in spiderverse. All after reading your Miles G, I confess. Miguel was the first wave, but Hobie and Miles G, hit like a tsunami behind.
I don't ask you to write it. Just babbling about my favs... although there's also Aaron, Peter B, Noir,... I love everyone.
But, but in your yandere expert opinion, who would have the toughest nerve to become a cheater and on top of that, being a yandere about reader? From all the charas into and across the spiderverse.
ALSO, WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE, KINDA FUCK, MARRY, KILL???, Tell me, tell me *googly eyes*
In my "expert" Yandere knowledge (jk 🤣jk🤣) I'd say that 90% of the Spiderverse cast could be "cheater" if they couldn't physically be with the reader. Or if they thought that they don't deserve the reader.
1610-Miles: would never cheat, he'd just sit around mopping and dreaming about the reader. He'd also never really think about not "deserving" the reader. He's a really lonely boy and would latch onto his crush no matter what. He'd also fully believe that he was a better match for them than anyone else. He's also confident enough that he's sure he could protect them against anything.
Pavitr Prabhakar: Would also never cheat. When he's in love he becomes devoted to said person and would do anything for them. Cares for them too much to ever be with anyone else. Also if that person is in love with someone else then he would respect their choice and bottle up his emotions. Laching onto the hope that one day the reader would realize they love him more than their current partner. He's practically the walking embodiment of "You Belong With Me" by Taylor Swift.
Gwen Stacy: Gwen might cheat on the reader if she's trying to distance herself from them. Make them hate her so they leave. But really it's just to protect them, she's fully convinced that she's cursed. Anyone who get's too close to her ends up hurt. So she'll make them leave. Also if her lover is in another dimension then she might go for a relationship in her own dimension just to distract herself from them.
Hobie Brown: Wouldn't mean to cheat. But he might get tempted into having an affair. Nothing serious just something casual. But he tries to keep it a secret from his one true love. Also if Hobie did end up kidnapping the reader and locking them up somewhere then he may have another relationship with someone else. But that person is like a substitute for the reader. He pretends that they are her and that He and the reader are a real couple, but it's actually the other person. Until he can trust the reader enough to take them outside. Does this make sense? I feel like it doesn't make sense.
42- Miles: Will have some causal flings here and there to get their mind off the reader. But also watches them through their window each night. Like he's obsessed but too prideful to fully admit it. If he does kidnap the reader and sees that she's being incompliant. He'll try to make her jealous by going out on cute dates with some other girl. Then showing her pictures. Show her how easily replaceable she is. He'll obviously break her mind until she's begging him not to go out, not to leave her alone. Why is it that every time I write anything for this guy it gets real dark, real quick?
Miguel O'Hara: YES!! THIS MAN IS NOT EMOTIONALLY STABLE. Like he might just make an AI of his lover, talk to her, program her to love him, and convince himself that this is his real lover. If his lover is in another dimension then maybe he'll date someone with certain similar characteristics to her but then kinda get distracted by his duties. He'll just go back lovingly looking at them through a screen.
Peter B: He might get drunk and cheat by accident. But I think that's more something he would have done in the first movie. If the reader is MayDay's mother then no way he's cheating.
Spider Noir: He's too old-fashioned to cheat. He'll treat his lover like a princess. I can't really see him doing anything like that.
Aaron: He might cheat on the reader if he loves her enough. Like his life as the Prowler is dangerous, he knows this. So he'll distract himself with other people as apposed to getting mixed up with the reader and risking their life.
As for me: (I'll do kiss, marry, kill)
MARRY: MIGUEL O'HARA. I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS MAN. He means everything to me😍😍. I just want to be his cute little housewife. Someone he can look forward to coming home to. Plus I'd also try to help him out with his whole Spiderman thing.
KISS: MILES G MORALES (prowler miles) I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!! He also gives me lowkey season 4 Eren vibes from AOT lol.
Kill:... Honestly no one. I love everyone so much. Like maybe Miguel so no one can have him but me. But like also Miles G, so you know, no one can have him but me. 😂😂 sorry about that went full yandere for a moment.

Interdimensional Hell - Miguel O'Hara
notes - FOR THE POLL!!!! This has been in the works for a while, but here it is! It's a long ass fic with my whole heart and soul packed into it (+ the beautiful addition of not being proofread lolol) and I am so exited to share! I hope my Miguel lovers enjoy this fic!! <3 word count - 4,060 (omfg this is my longest fic on tumblr LMFAOOOO) WARNINGS - lots of angst, not proofread, f!reader, mentions of a near panic attack summary - you were Miguel O'Hara's wife. You were more than happy to be with someone like him, but was unfortunately taken away from your family when your world was torn apart by what looked like a glitching videogame. Now you travel through dimension after dimension looking for your family and will stop at nothing to do so while also having some fun along the way
Tumblr media
“Gabriella!” You were close to tears as your daughter ran to you, jumping into your arms.
“Mamma, did you see that?” she said with a bright smile, sweat beading on her forehead. “When I kicked the ball, it was like BAM and then it went FWOOSH and then we won!!”
“I did see that, baby. I am so darn proud of you.” You pinched her nose, giving it a little kiss as your husband walked up holding an ice cream cone.
“Did you see that, papa?” she asked as he handed her the ice cream.
“Of course I did. You are so talented.” He pressed a kiss to her forehead. She thanked him for the cone and giggled as he threw her on his back for a piggyback ride.
“You got that on video, didn’t you, Miguel?” you asked, scruffing Gabriella’s hair.
“Yup.” he responded, bouncing Gabriella and telling her how proud he was of her. God, his smile was perfect.
You pulled out the camera from its bag and filmed your husband and daughter. Literally nothing could be better than this.
Gabreiella giggled and made fun of Miguel before slamming the ice cream in his face, the two breaking out in laughter. When he set her on the ground, he gave her a five second head start to run out in the field before he would come after her, telling her to be careful with the ice cream.
He looked up at you and you giggled. “Miguel, you’re face, love.”
“What? What’re you–” he chuckled as he wiped ice cream off of his face. “Did I get it?” he asked.
“Hold on.” You set down the camera and pulled a baby wipe out of your bag, dabbing it on Miguel’s face.
“It’s been five seconds now!” Gabriella shouted from the other side of the field.
Miguel kissed your cheek and dashed after his daughter. You smiled at the camera before turning it off.
Nothing lasts forever.
You heard that from everyone, but you hated that it was true.
Even the happiest month of your life can turn to shit really fast.
When the world started glitching, you thought you were losing your mind. You worked from home and Miguel was out with Gabriella for the day. You looked to the corner of your room and it… glitched. Like something out of a movie. You never told anyone, especially when it kept happening. You thought that no one else saw it, that it was your mind playing tricks.
But when it kept happening, you knew something was wrong.
And when the world ended, you were right, and you knew you would never see your family ever again.
You ran out into the streets and saw people running, the world behind them disappearing, and even some of them faded into nothingness. You wanted to scream, cry, anything. But you froze, watching the colossal whatever it was coming for you. And then you saw something else. It looked different than the giant glitching wall. It was small and no bigger than the gap under a bed. You jumped in without even thinking. You were going to die anyway, so why not be a little reckless?
As you felt like you were falling for days, you thought of your daughter. Why didn’t you go after her? You felt like a terrible mother and curled into a ball, crying. No one was coming to save you and you weren't coming to save anyone. The world wasn’t what it used to be a month ago, a week ago, hell, it wasn’t even this bad a day ago. You cried for your family, knowing that you couldn't do a thing for them and then everything went black.
“Is she alive?” you heard a voice say, but couldn't see where it came from.
“I sure hope so. I don't get paid enough for someone to die here.”
“Well check!”
You felt cold hands brush your forehead and you jerked awake, coughing and trying not to scream.
“Woah, woah!” you heard the voice from the start say. “Everything’s fine. We’re not gonna hurt you.” You saw that the voice came from a boy with bright blonde hair and a cybernetic eye.
The other one was a man with brown hair, who looked like he could crush you – tan skin and muscles bigger than you.
You went to say something, but glitched, making the two men jump back.
“Woah there!” the blonde one said. “You’re not from here, are you?”
You just shook your head and could already feel a headache forming.
“I don't have time for this,” the bigger one said. “I have a shop to run.”
“At least give the girl a watch! She looks stressed out enough and I think the last thing we need to do is have her glitching.”
“I think the last thing we need to do is deal with someone that isn't from here. That happens far too often, don't you think, Spike? You have too much sympathy for the outsiders.”
“And what if I do?” Spike asked, crossing his arms. “I don't think you have enough, Wade.”
Spike walked away from you and opened a large cabinet from above Wade’s head, pulling out a bright green watch. He slipped it on your wrist and proceeded to click a few buttons and everything tense inside of you strangely managed to slip away.
You took a deep breath and smiled at Spike. “Thank you,” you said to him. “It’s been a really long day.”
“I can tell,” he chuckled. “First time out of your dimension?”
You nodded and adjusted the watch.
“Well, make sure to keep that bad boy locked in place. Don't want to be outside of your dimension without one or else… well, think bad, but worse.” He sat in a rolly chair and spun to his computer. “Can you do me a favor, missy?”
“Anything.” you said. He had been more than willing to help you, so you were more than willing to do the same.
“Stand on that little circle over there for me.” He pointed to a large purple circle in the middle of the room and you tilted your head, but still walked over to it with no hesitation.
“What’s this?” you asked.
“I'm gonna scan you, but don't be scared. This bad boy will help you get home safe.”
You went to speak up, telling him that you weren’t so sure it was a good idea, but he interrupted you.
“Wade, help me out here! Let’s get her out of here.”
“Finally.” Wade scoffed. He walked over to you and held your arms up, strapping them to two mechanical devices on either side of you that then held your arms to make you in the shape of a Y.
“This won't hurt a bit, doll.” Spike said, clicking a button on his computer. A bright light scanned you up and down and you looked at Spike, who held his chin and tilted his head. “Huh. That’s weird. Let me try again.” He clicked the button again and looked at you with confusion. When the cycle finished, he looked astonished. “Babe, where did you say you were from again?”
“That’s what I’ve been meaning to tell you.” you said, shuffling in your spot. “My world was a big glitching mess. And then I found a little hole and appeared here. I don't know if I have a home anymore.”
Wade sighed and rubbed his hand down his face. “Great,” he whispered. “This can't be good.”
Spike leaned back in his chair and looked at the confusion on your face. “This isn’t your fault, love. But bad news, you can't go home. Because uh… I don't think home exists for you.”
All you remember after that was crying. You sat on the floor after the devices let you go and Spike rubbed your back, reassuring you that everything was going to be okay.
Of course, you knew that everything wasn’t going to be okay.
You were already exhausted and you realized it hadn’t even been a day.
“So, what am I supposed to do?” you asked, playing with the watch you were given.
“I would be more than happy to let you stay here,” Spike said, rubbing your back. “We have an extra room, we just have to clean it out a bit.”
“I don't want to be a burden.”
“It’ll just be for a little while,” he reassured you. “Now, I know this cyberpunk city of ours can seem like a lot once you step out of this little shop, but I think after a little bit of time, you can find a job and even your own home.”
You just nodded. You didn't have a clue what the word “cyberpunk” meant, but it sounded interesting enough. After realizing that you were still on the floor, you finally stood up and looked around the little place you were in. There were light up trinkets and soft beeps coming from either side of the room. It was so overwhelming. At home you were able to just sit on a couch and watch TV and in here, it looked like the only place you could rest was a chair that could roll across the floor.
To get your bearings wherever you were, you opened the front door and were immediately overstimulated. There were loud sirens, people yelling, doors slamming, advertisements that were yelling about various products, etc.
You quickly shut the door behind you and Wade laughed at the expression on your face.
“What’s so funny?” you scoffed.
He just waved you off and Spike walked over to you. “Wade and I know exactly how you feel. We were just as overwhelmed when we ended up here.”
“You’re not from here?”
“Nope! So, don't worry, your reaction and overwhelmingness is completely normal. Do you want something to eat?”
You hadn't even thought about food, but when asked the question, noticed how hungry you really were. “Yes please.” you said softly.
Spike walked down a long hall and you followed, not wanting to be left alone with Wade.
“So what was your home like?” he asked.
“Normal.” you laughed. You really didn't know how to answer that question.
He laughed back. “Not like this at all, I'm guessing.”
“Not at all.”
“See, ours was kind of like this,” Spike said as you got to the kitchen. “It was very techy, so we immediately knew what to do when we started ‘glitching’ if that’s what you wanna call it. We also know how to travel interdimensionally. That's how we ended up here. We traveled outside of our home and never found a way to get back. That machine couldn’t even tell us. I think what happened to your home also happened to ours while we were gone.”
“That sounds awful.”
Spike laughed. “Yeah, definitely awful. We’ve traveled everywhere, it feels like, but we just never found home. This was almost the closest to it. It looks like home in the future.”
“That makes sense.” It didn't, but it did. You didn't know how else to share your sympathy with him, especially considering the whole thing felt like an awful dream that you would never wake up from.
“What are you gonna do?” he asked you as he slid over your plate.
“No clue,” you admitted. “Maybe it’s delusional, but I want to find my family.”
“You found a way out. So maybe they did too.”
Just those few words from Spike’s mouth gave you hope. Perhaps too much.
Learning new things is really difficult, but you found yourself learning how to travel through space and time to be a piece of cake, to your surprise.
That hope that Spike had engraved in you when you first met years ago was still stuck in you and would always be until you found your family.
Even if you had to search until the day you died, you would be satisfied.
The craziest part of the whole thing though was that you became someone completely different over the years. You found yourself learning how to make your own tech to make interdimensionally traveling easier and buying clothes that made you look much different than you did back at home.
But you were lonely.
You met so many lovely people on your journey through this new life you created for yourself over the years, but none of them would stay like Miguel did. You even eventually drifted from Spike and Wade, getting your own house and having your own machines.
You would curl up and eat dinner by yourself on the balcony, dreaming to be in Miguel’s arms and listen to him hum a song to you in his deep voice.
“Hey, Miguel.” Lyla said, blowing on her nails she recently painted. “Whatcha doin?”
Miguel rolled his eyes and sighed. “Working. What does it look like I'm doing?”
“It looks like you're pouting. Not working. Nice try, but you can't fool me, buddy.” Lyla smirked.
“I'm not pouting! Why would I be pouting, Lyla? Hm? Now could you please leave me alone? You’re ruining my train of thought.”
“Now that’s just mean.” Lyla pouted.
Miguel blew a piece of his hair out of his eye and tried to sweep her away, which ended up making her leave with a giggle.
He took a deep breath and ran his fingers through his hair before turning back on his monitor to see your face.
“Miguel!” you giggled. “Smile for the camera.” You turned the camera to a happier Miguel. Someone who actually had a smile on his face.
A stranger.
Miguel quickly shut the monitor off before he would let himself be brought to tears. It was his fault you were gone. It was his fault he was in his current position. If he didn't fuck everything up and pretend he was your husband, none of this would’ve happened.
“Lyla, I'm going out.”
“Huh? Where?” She appeared with a digital Slurpee and tilted her head.
“Just out.”
“Bored outta your mind, big boss man.”
“Sure, whatever, just leave me alone.”
Lyla saluted and faded away. He didn't know where to go, but he would just go. With the power of the entire multiverse at his hands, it was hard to just find one place to go, but even so, it was nice to breathe some fresh air in other places.
Plus with the chance of seeing you…
He pulled the thought out of his mind. He watched his daughter fade away in his arms, there was no way that you were okay too. And god, did he hate himself for it. But even so, he repressed the feelings and journeyed to other universes, meeting other Spidermen and even greater foes – eyebags and all.
Where the hell am I? you thought as you ended up in a dimension unlike any you had been to before. It was so different from the others that for the first time in years, you actually had to pause.
You placed your hands on your hips and looked at the world around you. It reminded you of playing video games where you would go to other worlds and you yourself would change textures to match the ones around you. Unfortunately, the texture didn't go with you, so you were left as an actual human in a cartoon world.
The life you were living was definitely a dreamlike state and the thought of it made you laugh as you led yourself through the city.
This was the part you actually loved. You got to see what life was like for others through different dimensions and the struggles they had to deal with. Granted, it wasn't much different from your life when you weren’t forced to live like this, but either way, you still found it fun to see how different, yet similar it really was.
Sometimes you would end up in dimensions you had been to a thousand times or sometimes you would end up somewhere new.
Your favorite part though: everywhere had a Spiderman. And every Spiderman was just as unique as the last.
In this world, it seemed to be some pig, which was both hilarious and intriguing. You had seen a lot in your day, but never a pig Spiderman. You loved it though and seeing posters of him around this odd city made you laugh.
But you knew it was time to leave the moment you stepped in. You liked the crazy stuff, but this was a little too crazy for your liking.
Right as you opened a portal though, you heard a loud sound not too far away from you. You figured it was a fight that Spiderpig had gotten himself into, and were ready to leave, but you turned around to see something much crazier.
Not only was Spiderpig fighting, but there was another Spiderman with him. You couldn't help but stand in awe after you closed the portal you made.
He was dressed in dark blue and red and didn't look at all like the other Spidermen you had seen before. Something about him was not only different, but so so intriguing.
The fight didn't last long since the two were working hard to get it done quickly. So when they did finish, the tall Spiderman put Spiderpig on his shoulders and gave him a fistbump.
You had only noticed you were still just standing in the street and staring when the Spiderman froze.
You giggled nervously and muttered out a quick “good job guys” before turning down an alleyway so you could teleport out of there.
But right as you began down the alley, you felt something grab your wrist. When you turned around, it was that tall Spiderman, who tilted his head at you.
“y/n?” he said.
You took a step back. “S-Sorry?”
“Is your name y/n?”
You nodded and he pulled you into his arms before opening a portal very much like your own.
You ended up in a world with complete darkness, minus the bright yellow computers surrounding the walls. You looked at the place with curiosity, but were quickly pulled from your thoughts when you saw the Spiderman pacing the room back and forth and muttering to himself.
“Hey, are you alright?” you chuckled.
“How are you… How did you… Hold on, I need a minute.” He finally sat down and grabbed his chin. “Were you married?”
You laughed, thinking this was some sort of joke. “Yes, I was. To a man named Miguel. Why?”
“What the fuck?” he said under his breath.
“Excuse me?”
“How are you alive?!”
Just then, you recognized that voice. Everything from your past hit you like a semi and you fell to your knees, tears immediately filling your sockets.
“M-Miguel? Miguel, is that you?” you managed to get out.
The mask of his Spider-suit dematerialized and he looked at you with shock.
You looked at him the same and felt like you couldn't breathe. After all those years. After all that searching…
He ran to you and dropped on his knees, pushing your hair out of your face. “How did you…”
“How did you?” you giggled somehow, grabbing Miguel’s face and looking it over. Despite the eyebags and the new muscular features, that man was definitely your husband.
“I…” he started, but you pulled him into your arms. You hugged him until neither of you could breathe.
When you pulled away, you looked at him with so much excitement that it made him regret everything. He had lied to you for years and you were looking at him the same way you looked at your real husband who died.
“I can't believe you made it out alive, Miggy! Where’s Gabriella? I bet she’s all grown up and–”
“G-Gabriella’s gone.” The words felt like another 100 lbs weighed his chest down.
You looked at him with confusion. “She didn't make it?” you asked softly.
“No. She didn't. This is all my fault.” he buried his face in his hands.
“No it's not. How could any of this be your fault?” you rubbed his back.
“No, y/n,” he scooted back, every regret from his life filling him up and making him on the near edge of a panic attack. “This is my fault. I made this happen.”
“Miguel, I–”
“I'm not even your husband!” he cried out. He never felt like this before. He didn't even feel like Miguel. But something cracked in him when he saw you, and it was going to end up killing him if he didn't talk to you about it.
You laughed. “What? Of course you are.”
“Your husband died a very long time ago.”
“I'm so confused.” you admitted.
“I know. And I'm sorry.” he pulled you closer and sat down on the floor next to you. “Look, I was your husband. At least for a while. A couple months maybe. But your real husband… the Miguel O’Hara from your world… he died. I took his place. I wanted to be happy.” Slowly, the feeling of the near panic attack was going away the more he spoke to you. He explained everything. About how much he truly loved you and about how much he regretted destroying everything, including your daughter. He told you that he was selfish for what he did and admitted that if he could go back and never be with you just so you could have a fulfilled life with Gabriella and no Miguel, everything would be fine. He explained canon events and how the world worked for Spidermen like him and the rest of the multiverse.
Everything was so confusing, but based on everything you had been through, you weren't surprised.
You had seemingly loved a stranger for months and didn't even know it. But… he wasn't, that was the most confusing part. That man, Miguel O’Hara. Spiderman 2099. That was the man you fell in love with, even if you weren't a part of his dimension.
The whole situation shocked you to your core, but there was no going back now.
You laughed for some reason when he was done telling you everything. You really couldn't believe it. But again, you weren't surprised.
Miguel didn't mean to spill everything onto you, but it made him feel so much better. Tears were streaming down his face and he was trying to repress them when he saw how confused you looked.
“y/n, I am so sorr–”
You quickly cut him off by pulling him into your arms. Real husband or not, this poor man had to suffer through everything and now has the whole multiverse on his back to take care of because he feels like it’s his responsibility. He blamed himself for everything for years all because of a stupid accident.
But you weren't mad. He didn't know what would happen and all he wanted was to be happy. You didn't want to put more on him, so you just held him for a moment and let him sit there with you in silence.
Even if you didn't know this Miguel as well as you knew your husband, he was still Miguel.
“Don't blame yourself,” you whispered. “It's okay.”
He just pulled back from the hug and wiped his hair out of his face. “I'm sorry you had to live like you have been.” he told you.
“It was kinda fun.” You hugged your knees.
“The multiverse is definitely something, huh?”
You smiled and cupped Miguel’s face in your hands. You had been traveling for years all for this. Granted, you got a story out of it that you weren't expecting, but still. Miguel was in front of you again and you felt strangely at home.
You pressed a kiss to his nose. “I wanna try this again.” you said. “With us.”
“What do you mean?”
“First.” You pulled him by the front of his suit and pressed a long and needed kiss to his lips. He melted to your lips quickly, but the feeling ended quickly when you pulled away.
“What do you mean ‘try again?’ ” he asked.
“I'm y/n.” You stuck out your hand and smiled at him.
“I'm Miguel.” He took your hand and sighed with relief.
“Nice to meet you, Miguel. Maybe we should go on a date sometime.”

just steve harrington being so selfless and not taking time for himself melting into a puddle if the reader or you or y/n (idk which one to put 💀) just asked him if he was okay a lot (I do that 24/7, this is purely self indulgent) and the many times he said yeah and the one time he said no :(
i was originally gonna do a full fic style blurb on this but words have been very hard for me lately so i'm just gonna do a text post about this! hope you don't mind 🫶🏻
warnings: reader is sorta implied to be fem!reader, allusions to steve being treated not so well by his parents as a kid, part of this does mention some upside down violence, tiny mention of food, no use of Y/N, lmk if i missed anything!

Tumblr media
I imagine the first time it happens is probably in gym class when you're younger.
You accidentally hit him right in his pretty lil face with a dodgeball ☹️
And Steve being Steve insists he's okay because "I get hit all the time in basketball and football. I've broken bones and nearly busted my teeth out. A lil dodgeball never hurt anyone."
But you can tell he's hurt.
Whether it's him that's hurt or his bruised ego, you can't really tell.
But some part of him was clearly hurt.
more under the cut!
The second time it happens is when you get paired together for a study group during senior year.
Steve struggles with a lot of subjects, but math is probably his worst.
And it's not like he doesn't want to get better, his parents just never sat down at the table and helped him with anything growing up, and when his nannies told his dad about his report cards, it didn't end very well ☹️
But math is the one he's always had the hardest time with.
So when the two of you get paired to study for the calculus final, you can almost immediately tell he's struggling to understand the questions on the example sheet.
At one point, he just kinda places his head in his hands and groans into his palms.
And you're just kinda like, "Hey, you okay?"
And again, Steve is never one to admit defeat.
"I'll be fine. Can you just help me with question four?"
Surprisingly though, after just a few nights of studying together, you become sort of reluctant allies.
He surprisingly excelled in human biology, which you did not. So, the two of you helped each other where you could.
And then it happened a third time, during the summer after you'd graduated.
Steve had had a rather unsuccessful time trying to flirt with the ladies that often came into Scoops Ahoy.
This day had been no different.
He'd really tried his hardest to get the beautiful ginger in front of you to go with him to the movies on Friday.
But she and her friends just moved along, double-scoop ice cream cones in hand, back to their shopping.
"You good?" you asked, nearly on the verge of laughing, as you stepped up to the counter.
"Oh, yeah, sure," he answered sarcastically. "Just a little bruise to my ego. That was definitely the first time any lady has turned down this beautiful face."
Part of you, though, was hurting. Hurting that, even though you were right in front of him, he'd never bothered to look at you that way.
The fourth time it happened, you really started to question everything you thought you knew about Steve.
Somehow, despite being back in town for a total of two days, you'd gotten roped into something to do with some evil dude named Vecna.
And for once, after everything you'd learned since arriving back in Hawkins for spring break, Steve was the one asking if you were okay.
Also for once, one of you was answering the question truthfully.
However, in the week that followed after, even in the midst of alternate dimensions and weird mutations of bats, you'd learned that Steve might have been causing his previous lady problems on purpose.
And when you saw the painful expression he sported as Nancy Wheeler was reunited with her boyfriend, your own heart shattered all over again.
Still, if there was one thing you were, it was a good friend to Steve.
So, you pulled him aside and asked those three little words.
Steve simply ran a hand through his disheveled hair with a slow nod.
But you could tell he was nearly at the point of breaking.
And the time when he finally answered truthfully, he really did break.
You'd drove with him to the hospital to check up on Max Mayfield, who somehow he'd became friends with despite the age difference.
The room was dead silent, other than the annoying buzzing coming from the lights.
You finally gave him a good once-over as he sat at Max's bedside—his messy hair, his pale face with newly acquired purple spots under his eyes, a small cut under his lip.
And for the first time since you'd known Steve, you watched as tears formed in his eyes.
You were quick to rush over to the other side of the bed, your hand splaying across his back and rubbing soft, small circles against his frame.
"Steve, I know this is a silly question to ask, because we both know the real answer, but seriously, are you okay?"
He knew he couldn't hide. Not any longer. So, he simply let the walls come down, croaking out a small, "No," through his flood of tears.
After crying into your shoulder and allowing himself to finally let go of everything he'd been holding in for all those years, he just simply held you.
Finally, after explaining everything—from the reason why he never told you about the Upside Down, to why he'd used Nancy and all those girls as a distraction from the person he really wanted—he just grabbed your face and kissed you. A sweet and tender kiss, not a desperate or lustful kiss, but a longing one—one he'd waited much too long to give you.
And somehow, even in the midst of all the bad stuff, even in the midst of Steve finally breaking, the two of you could finally find a way to maybe, just maybe, be okay for once. ❤️‍🩹

DRIVING ME CRAZY
Tumblr media
Pairing: Miguel O’Hara x villain!reader
Summary: You’re a villain who steals and hops dimensions. Miguel is irritated.
A/N: I had this concept in my head and I just had to write it. Maybe I'll make it a fic one day. I say reader is a villain but she's mostly good tbh. Just a lil selfish and a crybaby lol
Becoming a villain was the best career choice you ever made. The moral satisfaction of being a hero was great, but it wasn’t paying the bills. Sure, helping the world become a better place was cool and all- but it wasn’t enough. You liked having nice things. Cute designer shoes, nice furniture for your apartment, and 26’ bundles weren’t cheap, and you were not going to live the life you deserve by saving kittens and stopping small drug dealers. You’re a powerful superhuman, and you knew that monetizing your powers would get you everything you deserved. So, you did some digging, made some connections, and started doing “jobs” for unsavory people. You refused to be a hitman, having all that on your conscience was not worth it, so you settled on doing theft, trespassing, and other unscrupulous things for cash. Not long after that, the cash started rolling in and you were finally living the life you wanted to.
You discovered your powers at age 10 after accidentally cloning yourself at a sleepover out of fear, while watching a horror movie. Over time, you discovered that you had more powers than just Bio-Fission. You had the power of energy projection, possession, telekinesis, resurrection, and teleportation. You were basically a very powerful witch. Your parents pulled you out of school as your powers grew in your teenage years, as your powers were very hard to control at first, and often your powers only came out when you were in emotional distress. You didn't mind being homeschooled, as your friends started to avoid you out of fear, and you were tired of eating lunch at a table by yourself. You used these years to learn as much as possible about your abilities and learn how to wield them. When you reached 18, you moved out of your parents house and started a new life in New York City. You kept a low profile, making a few friends but you never divulged the information about your powers to them.
About two years into your stay in NYC, you heard about a Spiderman. A man with superhuman strength and a red and black costume, fighting crime in Brooklyn. You were inspired, it WAS possible to use your powers and be accepted and loved! You made a makeshift costume, a simple black long sleeve shirt and black leggings. You put a masquerade mask on your face, not knowing how to sew and contract a mask like Spiderman. You started fighting crime in Manhattan, making the city a better place one day at a time.
Then, at 24 years old, you’d had enough of trying to save the city. It wasn’t paying the bills, and you didn't want to depend on your parents your whole life. So you made the switch.
FIRST MEETING
Finding out you could teleport through dimensions exponentially increased your salary. You weren’t just doing jobs for disgustingly rich people on your Earth, you could go anywhere! You made a name for yourself on your Earth, many rich and powerful people sought you out to steal a priceless art piece or artifact for them. Business was booming, and you started to be on Spiderman and other heroes radars. With heroes on your ass, you thought it would be best to travel to other dimensions and do jobs, until the heat was off you.
That’s how you found yourself on Earth-928B. Some greedy CEO hired you to take something for him, a rare Diamond located in a highly secured safe. This diamond was not for sale, but the CEO insisted he needed it for his collection, so when the $200k check cleared, you made your way to the safe and started to execute your plan. Your game plan was simple, teleport into the safe, grab the diamond, and teleport out. You were then to call your boss for the evening and make your way to the drop off location, in the Four Seasons parking lot, where you were staying for the “job”.
Unbeknownst to you, Miguel O’Hara, this dimension’s Spiderman, was on your heels. He didn't really care about the crime you committed, but you were an anomaly and your presence in his universe was a threat. He got Lyla to track what hotel room you were staying in at the Four Seasons, and he knew you would be back right after the job. So he waited. He examined your room, looking for nothing in particular. You took very little with you. He found a small bag next to the bed, filled with some clothes and various toiletries. Yes, he knew he was invading your privacy, but he was intrigued by you for some reason. How were you able to just hop through dimensions? Lyla informed him about your various warrants throughout the multiverse, as well as your secret identity. He looked at your drivers license picture a bit too long, enchanted by your brown skin and bright smile. You were beautiful, and he admired your picture for a few more seconds before going back to rummaging through your bag. Your scent was very appetizing, the smell of lavender and shea butter filling his nostrils and calling to him. He came across a sexy black and red lace thong, and shamelessly held up up and nodded his head in approval. You were clearly a very stylish, sexy woman with expensive taste, just his type. Too bad he had to arrest you and forcefully send you home.
He heard a key card go into the door, and he quickly stuffed the panties back in the bag and scrambled to a hiding spot behind the door in the dark en suite bathroom. He watched through the crack in the door and waited until you took your shoes off and moved toward the bed. You plopped on the bed, pulling out your phone and scrolled mindlessly.
God, she really should work on her situational awareness.
Miguel quietly made his way from behind the open door, and moved to stand in the dark bathroom doorway. You were facing away from him, playing some water sorting game on your phone as he silently made his way to the bed to grab and restrain you.
Until his watch made a beeping sound.
You moved impossibly fast, and he found himself impressed with you as you quickly stood up and projected an energy ball at him, causing the spot in his suit where you hit him to glitch.
The masked intruder in your room stood completely still. He slowly raised his massive gloved hands, and you took in his appearance with wide eyes as you started to feel fear for the first time in a while. Fuck, he was huge. His stature was intimidating, and as you looked at the emblem on his chest, you started to breath harder. This colossal Spiderman is in your hotel room, and although you were very powerful, you didn't know what he was capable of. Your earths Spiderman had almost caught you once, and if he was as strong as that one, you knew you wouldn’t win this fight.
“Relax, I’m not going to hurt you.”
You noticed a slight accent to his words, and if you weren’t so scared you would think his voice was sexy.
“What do you want then?”
You spoke in a whisper, too frightened to raise your voice. He had super hearing anyway.
“Im here to take you back to Earth 1610. Its dangerous for you to be here.”
Fuck, he knew who you were.
He was definitely going to take you back to your Earth and give you to your earths Spiderman. You would rather die then spend your life in that prison they stick all the villains in. You tried to will yourself to teleport the fuck out of there but your powers never worked how you wanted when you were this upset. Of course.
You made a split decision and bolted to the door, very fast, but not fast enough. Spiderman grabbed your arms from behind and you knew you couldn’t fight him off. So you cloned yourself.
You didn't look back to see his reaction, not that you could see any expression on that mask. You bolted out of the door and made your way to the stairwell. You couldn’t just leave your clone behind, if she were to be harmed or taken you wouldn’t be able to leave without suffering. Your clone was an extension of you, a perfect mirror of yourself and if you were to leave her behind it could fracture your mind beyond repair. You would also rather die than live your days as an insane witch.
If you were calm enough, you could will your clone to come back into your mind. You took a few deep breaths and closed your eyes. You weren’t far from your room in this stairwell, so you were quickly able to find that invisible rope that connects your minds and yanked her back. You’re attempt was successful, and feeling whole again, you teleported to a random dimension in order the get the hell away from there. You made a mental note to never do a job on that Earth again.
Meanwhile, back in the hotel room, Miguel cursed loudly at his failure. He then made a promise to find you, before you end up traveling universes again and possibly destroying them for your own selfish gain.
SECOND MEETING
After almost being caught by the Behemoth Spiderman, you decided not to take any jobs for a while and lay low. You chose a random Earth again, and bought a room in a luxury resort on the beach in the Maldives. You spent your days drinking daiquiris and being served Caviar by the pool. You had been working so much that you had to spare no expenses, you had more than enough money to live lavishly for a while at least. Your mind often wondered towards that Spiderman you encountered. Your Earths Spider man was a young kid, the only one alive after the death of the older Spiderman. Neither Spiderman was as big as the one you encountered, and you wondered how many other variations of Spiderman there were. And how many of them knew who you were? Shit, how many variations of you were there? The mere thought of this was overwhelming, and you quickly got up to from the Pool chair you were lounging in and made your way to the bar to get another drink, hoping a buzz would kill your existential dread.
When that didn't work, you decided to just go back to your room and watch some reality TV and relax. You had been living this lifestyle for almost a year, and you were starting to get tired of no romantic or even platonic relationships. You had lovers in the past, but due to your lifestyle they never lasted long. You longed for a stable life now, the villain life was getting old. But you were in too deep to go back now.
You finally made it to your room, taking your shoes off and plopping on the couch in the living room of your spacious suite. You kicked your feet up and turned on the TV, ready to watch some petty arguments and pointless drama.
“What did I tell you about being in universes that you don’t belong in?”
You froze as you heard that familiar deep voice with that accent behind you. Behemoth Spiderman made his way from behind you and stood in front of you on the couch with closed fists, caging you in. He must’ve been in the bedroom waiting for you.
Your mind was racing, as you looked at him with wide eyes and furrowed brows.
“How the fuck did you find me??”
My voice was shaky, laced with fear.
“You need to go back to Earth 1610. You are putting this whole universe at risk with your selfishness.”
Spiderman spoke calmly, ignoring your question, chin up and shoulders wide with confidence. He finally found you.
Miguel obsessively searched for you for weeks, you had somehow fallen off his radar, and because you don't travel through any portals, he couldn’t track you. He alerted the spider society of your existence, and told them to tell him if they have any tips. He strongly insisted that they didn't engage with you if they found you. He wanted to catch you himself, and he needed you to understand that you couldn’t just hop in other dimensions just because you want money. He finally got a tip when the Spiderman on the Earth you were currently on informed him that you were at this resort, your cover was blown on a drunken night when you teleported into a bodega late at night because you were craving a chopped cheese. You didn’t even think anyone would notice, but the owner alerted Spiderman about your appearance after checking the security camera. He then knew that you didn't have some evil “I will destroy all universes” plan, you were just trying to find happiness and live your life the way you wanted to. He didn’t know how you would react to him finding you again, but he was prepared to lock you in Spider HQ forever if you didn't abide by his rules.
Miguel ignored his urge to get closer to you just to smell that sweet lavender and shea butter scent that he had in the back of his mind for weeks. He ignored the urge to ogle you as you were dressed in a skimpy bikini and a sheer coverup. You were breathtaking, he was definitely attracted to you and Miguel struggled to find any more words as you looked up at him with tears in your eyes and lip wobbling. He didn't want to make you cry, he didn't want to hurt you at all. He just wanted you to listen to him and stop making dumb, selfish decisions.
“Im sorry!! Please don’t kill me! Ill do whatever you say, please, just don’t kill me!”
You wailed, you knew you were in big trouble and you knew this Spiderman was deadass about catching you, especially if he was able to track you to a whole different universe.
“Just come with me.”
He quickly grabbed your arm and opened a portal to Spider Society HQ. You looked around at the huge building, crawling with tons of spidermen. You felt your cheeks warm up in embarrassment and you felt them staring at you.
Holy shit, you were fucked. Behemoth Spiderman led you throughout the lobby and building by your arm, presumably to your death. You were surprised when he threw you in a red prismatic cage. You stumbled and fell to the ground in the cage, looking up at Behemoth Spiderman. You were planning to beg for your life as he took his mask off, and whatever plea you were going to say completely disappeared as you took him in for the first time.
“I didn't know Spiderman was so hot.”
The words just fell out of your mouth without thinking, and you quickly shut your mouth in embarrassment. Miguels face was stone cold and unreadable, and his red eyes pinned you in place with his stare. He didn't acknowledge your statement. He just stared at you.
You quickly lowered your gaze, his stare was way too intense and his demeanor was unsettling.
“Someone will bring you food shortly. Im taking you home tomorrow.”
His statement made you snap your head back up and shake your head vigorously. You stood up, still shaking your head, tears filling your eyes.
“NO! I can’t go home! They’ll put me in prison forever! I haven’t killed anyone, just let me go and I’ll do whatever you want.”
You tried to use your puppy dog eyes that worked on so many men before, but your attempt at trying to guilt him didn't work at all. He didn't even respond as he turned away and walked away from the little prison you were in.
“Asshole!”
You screamed. He stopped in his tracks for a few seconds, and you waited to see if he would turn around and let you out. He just kept walking after about 15 seconds of standing like a statue.
You banged on the glass with your hands, and tried to use your energy balls to break the cage to no avail. You slumped to the ground in defeat, tears falling.
You were so fucked.
Miguel watched you cry in the cage from his office, feeling guilty. Sure, you were a villain and a criminal, but you have never harmed anyone, and you truly seemed to think you weren’t putting anyone in danger with your dimension hopping. You genuinely seemed like a good person who makes bad choices.
He hated this feeling. He hated feeling at all, he worked tirelessly just to not feel anything. This was very unlike him, he knew he could be a bit obsessive but he wanted nothing more than to wipe your tears and comfort you.
He watched you sob for a few more minutes before deciding to do something he thought he would never do. He was going to let you out. Based on your emotional state right now, he felt confident that you wouldn’t go outside your dimension again. For now at least.
He went back to your cage, and you stood up to look at him with teary eyes.
“You can go back home. I won’t hand you over to Spiderman but promise me you won’t go dimension hopping again.”
“I promise! I promise! Thank you!”
He barely got his words out before you made your promises. He slightly shook his head, amused with how much of a crybaby you were.
He opened your cage and opened a portal to your earth, and watched you as you walked through. He fought a smile as you turned around and thanked him one last time. The portal closed, and he turned to go back to his office as he ignored the protests of the other prisoners to let them out too.
THIRD MEETING
You knew this was bad. You knew you weren’t supposed to come back to Nueva York but after 3 months of laying low and avoiding Spiderman on your Earth, you were bored. You only took this job because of the ridiculous amount of money that was offered to you. And also to maybe get a glimpse of the sexy Spiderman again. You just couldn’t refuse. Besides, it would take only a few minutes to steal this artifact anyway. He couldn’t possibly know you were even here, right?
The job went smoothly, the client got the artifact and you were paid handsomely. This could last you a whole year! You were so high on your success that you made the decision to quickly stop at a bar here and celebrate. Behemoth Spiderman was far from your mind as you wandered the beautiful futuristic city. You settled on a nice bar with a patio and had a drink. And another. And about 3 more. You couldn’t resist a good smoky tequila.
You stubbed around Nueva York for God knows how long, taking in the city. This place was nice, and it didn't even smell like pee unlike your Earths New York. Your drunken haze was interrupted when you heard commotion in an alleyway ahead. You heard fighting, and some type of weapons being fired. You slowly crept up to the alleyway, determined to stop this. You might be a thief, but you won’t just let someone die like this.
You prepared to use your powers and ran into the alleyway, right into the action. If you were sober, you would’ve had a game plan. But the tequila took over and you were ready to save the day.
You were shocked to find Behemoth Spiderman being beaten by three large men. They seemed to have supernatural abilities, as their movement were too fast to be human.
Wasting no time, you attacked. You summoned your power from deep inside and threw the most powerful, brutal ball of energy towards the men. Two were knocked down and wheezing, and you quickly sent another powerful ball of energy towards the last one, incapacitating him.
Behemoth Spiderman looked at you, eyes narrowing on his suit. He stormed towards you, enraged that you were here.
“What the fuck are you-
His rant was cut off by a shot, and you looked in terror as a huge arrow pierced through his suit and chest, poking out of both sides.
“Oh shit!”
You immediately sent another energy ball up to the assailant behind Behemoth Spiderman, and used your telekinesis to take the gun away from him.
Spiderman fell to his knees, losing blood and feeling dizzy. You looked on in disbelief. You can’t just let Spiderman die.
He reaches a shaky hand forward, and tries to say something to you before choking on his blood.
You had to save him. You knew that he would die. You pulled the arrow out of his chest, and he collapses on the ground. He’s not breathing, and he has no pulse. You had no choice but to resurrect him.
You put your hand on his chest, and summoned your power once again. You would need a lot to pull this off. You had resurrected things before, like cats and your house plants, but never a human.
Guess its never too late to start, right?
You feel your power coursing through you, fingers turning black as your power grows. You put your hands on his chest, silently appreciation the pure muscle of this man. You surge your power into him, and you blackout for a few seconds while the resurrection begins. You feel his wound close and his heart starts faintly beating again. You give him your power until you feel his heart beat strongly and his breaths are even. He will be asleep for some time, as he finishes healing, so you have enough time to escape. You press his watch, trying to see if there’s a button to press of help. You touch random things until a tiny holographic woman pops up. The AI woman scans Spiderman, probably searching for injuries.
You don’t wait for it to say anything. You let out a quick “Get him help.”
You don’t wait for help to come. You teleport back to your dimension, in your parents house. You hadn’t talked to them in a while, afraid that they might not accept your lifestyle but you know they would protect you with their life. You pass out in the living room where you teleported into, resurrections always drained your energy, but this was another level. You let sleep take you as your father lifted you and put you in your childhood bed.
Miguel woke up confused. He was sure he died, because of you. So why was he in the medical sector of the Spider Society? He called on LYLA, and she told him what happened. He was livid that you didn't listen to his demands, but he was eternally grateful that you saved him. He knew you were a good person. Truthfully, he had thought about you all the time, wishing he could talk to you and get to know you.
He felt incredible gratitude towards you for saving him, and he was determined to find you again, this time to thank you.
FOURTH MEETING
After making a full recovery, Miguel started to think of ways to pay you back for what you did for him. He weighed all options in his head, before finally deciding on making you a upgraded suit with the best tech, after hearing that you were back to being a hero, this time in your hometown. He was proud of you, and he couldn’t wait to see you and tell you that. LYLA commented on his affection for you,  which he very unconvincingly brushed off.
You seemed happy, Miguel admittedly stalked your social media from fake pages to track you down. And to also admire your pictures. He really wished you had a picture in that thong he saw in your hotel room.
The suit was finally finished, it was black with hot pink detailing. It hugged all the right places, and the gear was basically indestructible. The face mask was in the masquerade style that you always wore. He really hoped you liked it.
He came on a Sunday. He came with no suit on, just casual clothes. He waited outside your house until your parents left before knocking at the door, anxiety at an all time high.
You opened the door without looking who it was, thinking one of your parents forgot something. You were shocked to see the beautiful face of the man that had tracked you and imprisoned you for a few hours.
“Lo siento, I don’t mean to bother you. I just wanted to come here and thank you for what you did for me.”
You immediately calmed down, relived that he hadn’t come to lock you up. You had been on your best behavior, after all. You gave him a smile, which he quickly returned. He looked hot in that white tee he was wearing, it hugged all of his muscles in the best way possible.
“Come in.”
He followed you inside, sitting with you on the couch. You were watching that same show in the Maldives. You two sat in silence for a while, staring at each other. The silence wasn’t awkward at all, his presence calmed you and you felt safe. He was distracted by you so much he forgot why he came in the first place.
“So what’s in that box?”
You pointed to the gift in his hand, rising an eyebrow.
“Oh- yeah,” he cleared his throat, embarrassed that he was staring at you in silence like a creep “This is for you. I know you’ve been helping the people here and I thought that you might appreciate a new suit.”
Your eyes widen in surprise, not only did he come to thank you but he bought a gift too? Could he get any hotter?
You snatched the gift with a huge smile and he laughed, your happiness made him happy.
You ripped the box open, and your jaw dropped at your gift. The suit was beautiful, and it looks like it had some seriously fancy tech. You often opted just for a black jumpsuit, but this was such an upgrade.
You couldn’t control your excitement, and you squealed. Spiderman thought it was the cutest sound he’d ever heard. You pulled him in for a hug, which he quickly returned, melting into your embrace.
You pulled away and ran to your room.
“I gotta try this on! Stay put.”
He couldn’t even leave if he tried. He wanted to be here with you forever.
When you came out, his chest tightened at how well the suit fit you. He couldn’t take his eyes off of you. He watched as you admired your new gear in the mirror, clearly pleased with it.
“What do you think?”
He shook his head in disbelief, not understanding how someone could be so beautiful.
“You look phenomenal.”
You looked over to him, cheeks warming as you catch his gaze. You walk towards him on the couch, and he stands up. His eyes never leave your face and body as you come closer and closer. You stop when you’re chest to chest looking up at him with your beautiful eyes.
“You know, you never told me your name.”
Spiderman looked down shyly.
“It’s Miguel.”
You nod, smiling.
“Thank you, Miguel.”
He takes off your mask, putting it on the couch.
“You’re welcome, hermosa.”
Miguel grabs your face, leaning down and meets your lips, barely touching them, as if he’s teasing to see if you’ll pull away. When you don’t, he pulls you in for a slow, romantic kiss that takes your breath away. You don’t stop kissing, lips intertwining like you’ll pass away if you part. You don’t know much about Miguel, but you do know you could have your lips on his forever.

The Ghost of You Hobie Brown x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That if I can't be close to you, I'll settle for the ghost of you. I miss you more than life, I miss you more than life.
Synopsis: If he was the reason for your death, not just in his universe, but every other one, weren't you better off without him? A world where you were the Gwen Stacy to Hobie Brown's Spider-man, dead in every universe except for one.
WC: 1.8k
TW: Angst, mentions of loss/death
A/N: Since Hobie doesn't have a specified love interest in the movies, I think it's interesting to think that his Gwen or Mary-Jane might have died. That's why I decided to kind of delve into how he'd react to that, while also stringing along the whole Gwen Stacy is dead in every universe except one concept. Also happy new years!

It had been exactly two years, seven months, one week and six days since Hobie Brown lost you. Only a couple months ago, had he been accepted into the Spider Society, with hope that he'd be able to see you, or at least a variant of you. Except he never did.
In every other universe, you were dead. It was like he'd lost you in every single way possible, by falling, disease, murder, old age, every single goddamn way.
He must've spent hours and hours poring over the dimensional maps in Miguel's office, searching through his computer for any sign of you, any version of you from any universe. He couldn't find any.
Except for one.
One universe where it said you were alive.
One chance to see you again. And maybe...even go a little further than that.
One reason to gain Miguel's trust and get his own dimensional watch.
You.
And that was the reason that fueled his motivation for months, forcing himself to comply to the Society's standards, forcing himself to conform and smile and be the perfect little superhero the rest wanted. And eventually, he did it.
He got his own watch.
"This is for missions and anomalies only." Miguel had repeatedly told him, obviously still a little suspicious of Hobie's true intentions behind his sudden change of personality.
He'd only nodded in response, a fake smile plastered across his face. He'd snatched the watch without a word, inspecting it and turning it over in his hands as the possibilities flooded his mind.
That night, when Miguel had retreated to his office and the rest of the Spider-people had either gone home or gone to sleep, he'd stayed awake. He'd inputted the location into his watch, coded it to take him to you, and he'd opened up that orange portal that he could only hope would give him back what he'd lost.
He'd quickly been thrown into a dimension that looked like most others, the same old New York most Peter Parkers lived in, with the abundance of traffic and the thousands of people walking and biking through the streets.
The watch had taken him to Central Park, specifically a place where there were tens of little kids playing around, throwing sand at each other and laughing at childish jokes.
Hobie swung his head around furiously, eyes scanning over the entirety of his surroundings to see if he could catch a trace of you, anything that let him know that you were here.
But he didn't see anything. Not a single glimpse.
What?
He'd programmed the watch to take him to you, Y/N L/N, you had to be here. But then of course...just because you were alive, didn't mean you were you. It didn't mean you were the same teenager he'd loved and lost those months ago. You could've been five years old, or fifty, you could've been a superhero or a supervillain, he had no idea who you were.
All he had was hope.
But even that was slowly slipping out of his grasp as he continued to look around wildly, feeling his stomach drop and his throat start to hurt as he swallowed lumps of loss and pain. Maybe...he was wrong.
You weren't there.
And then, someone caught his eye. Hobie watched as a little boy, no more than two or three years old, ran past him, looking strikingly familiar for some reason. When he took a closer look, he noticed the boy's eyes. They looked just like yours. He noticed the boy's smile as he nearly tripped on a rock and continued to toddle along. The smile that belonged to the girl he'd fallen in love with.
Hobie's gaze followed the child as he ran towards the figure of a young woman, sitting on a bench, her face buried in a thick book. When the boy pulled on the hem of her jeans, trying to grab her attention, she looked up. Hobie's breath was knocked away.
Those gentle eyes. That lovely smile. The sparkling laugh that left your lips as you picked the boy up, kissing him on the forehead. Hobie never again saw someone quite like you. To him, you were an angel on earth. An angel's who's wings had been clipped, an angel who'd been sent back to heaven far too early for him to handle.
He couldn't help but stare, mouth slightly agape as the boy squirmed out of your grasp before running back to the playground. Hobie watched as you smiled to yourself, shaking your head slightly before picking the book back up. And then, he looked away when your gaze met his.
He could feel your eyes scanning over the back of his head for a moment, his spider sense tingling his spine, the hairs on the back of his neck standing up as he waited for you to turn back to your book. When you did, he slowly looked back at you, trying to catch his breath.
You weren't the same. You looked older, no longer a teenager, but maybe in your mid-20s. Your hair was longer, your gaze was sharper and your smile had left light lines tracing your mouth. But even then, you looked so similar, Hobie just had to get a closer look.
It'd been so long since he'd seen that face he loved so much.
He quietly walked towards the bench you were sitting at, avoiding your eyes as he sat down a little away from you, keeping his distance. He felt you look at him for a moment before you set your book down. "Are one of them yours?"
He froze as your voice broke the silence, his chest rising up and down rapidly as he slowly turned to look at you, glancing at your hands that were gesturing towards the playground, his eyes wide open. "N-no." He cleared his throat, his voice turning slightly deeper. "No. I just came to...enjoy the weather." He kept his voice quiet, knowing he'd risk ruining the moment if he let the thoughts in his mind leave.
"It's a nice day, isn't it?" You said with a sigh, smiling at him before looking back towards the playground. Hobie continued to watch you, his hands clasped in his lap as he leaned forward slightly, his back no longer touching the bench. He took in your skin, your hair, your hands, every single feature, feeling the knot in his stomach grow and grow with every stolen glance.
"Are one of them yours?" He asked softly, trying to keep a slight smile on his face for your benefit. "Yeah, actually. The little boy in the blue." You pointed towards the swingset, pride flickering through your expression as the child, the one that'd ran past Hobie before, noticed you, waving before continuing to play with his other friends.
"He looks just like you." Hobie murmured, glancing back towards the little boy, who had started running back towards the bench, arms open. "Mommy!" He exclaimed.
You laughed as you picked up the child and pulled him into your lap, the sight sending a warm feeling through Hobie's body. You'd always been so good with kids. The two of you had been young, but he'd always imagined what a life with you would've been like. Having a child together, having a home together, a world Hobie never experienced growing up.
You were his world. He never quite forgave himself for losing you, and that was probably why he was getting so worked up over seeing you with a child right now.
If he'd been just a little faster that day, just a little stronger, would you still be alive? Could there have been a little boy running around with his hair and your smile instead of this one right here? Could he have spent his days kissing, hugging and talking about a life with you instead of simply being left holding his pillow at night, dreaming about it?
Hobie felt you look back towards him and he was snapped out of his trance as he looked back up at you, a half-smile on his face. "You know, you look so familiar but I just can't put my finger on it. Have I met you before?" You asked curiously, pulling the squirming child on your lap a little closer.
"I don't think so." He said, shaking his head. "Maybe in some other universe." He smiled, gaze softening slightly as he swallowed back the lump in his throat again, trying his best to stop himself from letting the tears fall just yet.
"Maybe." You chuckled back, looking down at your son and stroking his hair gently. Hobie squeezed his eyes shut and looked away, unable to take the sight of you anymore. If he stayed any longer, he just might break down.
It was hard seeing you again.
And...you hadn't met him in this universe before. At least if you did, you didn't seem to remember it.
It was ironic, wasn't it? The only world where you were alive, where you were truly happy, was a world where you weren't with him. A universe where he'd never been there to get you hurt, to get you killed, to lose you.
You were happy here.
And he had to accept that. He had to accept that you were better off without him.
He heard someone call your name and he turned his head to look in the direction of where it'd come from, while you did the same. "Oh, my husband's here. I guess it's time for us to go." You said with a smile, waving at the tall man who'd gotten out of his car to wave back at you.
"Yeah, of course." he said quickly, standing up when you did, smiling slightly at your son who was babbling at him, incoherent sentences leaving his mouth in the way most toddlers spoke.
"It was nice meeting you, uh...?" You extended your hand towards him, balancing your son on your hip with the other. He looked down at your hand for a moment, hesitating before he accepted the handshake. "Hobie. Hobie Brown."
You gave him a smile, and his heart broke a little. "It was nice to meet you, Hobie Brown. I'll see you around, maybe?" You suggested. Although you were just being polite, Hobie's heart wrenched and he cleared his throat again, trying to keep his voice from breaking. "I hope so."
"Bye."
Hobie watched you walk away, heading towards the car your husband was standing outside of. He felt his eyes well up slightly and he forced himself to tear his gaze from your retreating back, breathing heavily as he looked back towards the playground.
"Bye, dove." He whispered under his breath before shoving his hands deep into the pockets of his vest, and heading in the opposite direction, searching for a safe space to portal back to HQ and finally leave you behind. For real this time.
"I'll miss you."

Welcome to this year's UraIchi Prompt Challenge! For our 8th PC, we will be focusing on crossovers!
Like we did for a previous mini-event, this year will also have a spin-the-wheel component. For PC8, you will be spinning for at least one random fandom and creating a crossover fanwork with it. A total of 300 different fandoms were nominated in the space of a week, so you'll have plenty to choose from. For most of them, I tried to copy the fandom names straight from the AO3 tags. The only exceptions are if they're not on AO3, or if I thought a catch-all name suited it better (ie. Marvel Comics (Any) because there are just too many of them, and this way you can pick whichever Marvel comic/movie/etc. you want). But overall, all fandoms that were nominated have been included in one of the wheels.
Before we get into that though, here are the rules for PC8:
1) Fanworks must be UraIchi-centric and complete. Obviously, this year, they must also be crossovers in some shape or form. UraIchi can be romantic or platonic (lovers, friends, family, enemies, etc.), so long as you can stick a / or an & between them, and they and their interactions are the main focus. 2) Any kind of fanwork is allowed if you can pull it off (fic, art, vid, gifset, etc.). There is no word limit for fics. 3) Poly ships are fine so long as UraIchi is in there somewhere. 4) The general definition of a crossover is a fanwork where two or more fandoms are combined in some way. For the purpose of this event, dimension travel, fusions, isekai, reincarnation, and resurrection would all count so long as your work includes at least one other fandom outside of Bleach. Likewise, Bleach must obviously be one of the fandoms. Basically, so long as Bleach and 1+ Other Fandom(s) are combined in some way, starring UraIchi as the main characters, then you should be good. If you are unsure whether your idea of a crossover counts, you can always send in an ask to check.
Post Date:
The due date for this event is December 31st, 2023, and the AO3 Collection will open at 12am (PST). I’ll reblog this post with a link to the collection closer to the date.
Tags:
If you’re posting your work (or a link to your work) as a post on Tumblr, you can tag it #uraichi prompt challenge 8 in the first five tags so I can reblog it here.
And finally, what you've all been waiting for:
As I mentioned before, I used Wheel Decide to make the wheels, but each wheel has a limit of 100 items, so since we ended up with 300 fandoms, I've had to split it into 3 wheels.
There's no specific theme or category for each wheel. I threw everything into a random choice generator, and then threw the results onto each wheel in batches of 100, so it's all random, and you can play this in a number of ways. You could just pick one wheel, spin, and get your fandom that way. You could also spin two or three wheels, and then pick your favourite out of the fandoms you get. Or you could spin all three wheels and write a four-fandom crossover like a crazy person. The point is, there's pretty much no wrong way to go about cobbling together your crossover.
If you want to submit more than one fanwork, feel free to spin for as many as you want to write/draw/etc. (of course, they should all be complete). And yes, you can spin more than once if you're really stuck on the fandom you get, or you just don't know the fandom at all.
I think that's about it, if anybody has any questions, please don't hesitate to send in an ask. Then, without further ado, here are the wheels:
WHEEL 1
WHEEL 2
WHEEL 3
Have fun!

Anyone But the Spin Doctors
Kai Parker x Reader
Tumblr media
Masterlist - Join My Taglist!
Written for Fictober 2022!
Fandom: The Vampire Diaries
Prompt: “Nobody warned you about me?”
Summary: Y/N is loosely a member of the Mystic Falls gang, and basically the only one who doesn't think revenge is the best answer to every problem. After spending some time in New Orleans with their best friend, Kol Mikaelson, they come back to Mystic Falls to find Bonnie and crew exacting revenge on their latest enemy, Kai Parker. But, after Kai showed some signs of humanity and change, Y/N is convinced there's a better way to deal with him. So, they steal an ascendant and go to 1903 to get him out.
Word Count: 2,735
Category: Fluff, little bit of angst (esp. at the beginning)
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
"Wait, what? You just left him there?" I demanded, staring at Bonnie in utter disbelief.
"Yes. Because that's what he deserves. Did you not hear me telling you about all the awful, horrible things he's done, Y/N?"
"Yeah, Bonnie, I did hear you! Did you not hear me when I brought up how easily our problems were solved when we made friends with people and gave them a chance instead of immediately trying to kill them? Or when I laid out how many times our problems were caused by getting trapped in some giant circle of revenge?"
Bonnie rolled her eyes. I was absolutely fuming, and so was she. I'd just come back from visiting my best friend, Kol Mikaelson, in New Orleans, after hearing my friends fill me in on some new witch who had been causing problems lately. Based on what they'd told me most recently, after going through quite literally a hell of a lot, there was actually starting to be a glimmer of hope for this new witch to be roped into joining our side as a friendly, and not an enemy.
Until recently, when Bonnie had apparently stabbed him and left him for dead after pretending to give him a second chance.
"Look, Y/N, just because your little rehab project half-worked on Kol Mikaelson-"
"Bonnie, Kol is my friend, because we built up trust and mutual respect and stopped crossing lines with each other! We broke the fucking circle of revenge that you people–him include–seem to just love living in for some reason!"
"Does not mean that Kai Parker is redeemable!" Bonnie continued, shouting over me to be heard. "I'm not forgiving him, Y/N! And you have no right to tell me I have to!"
I sighed heavily and pinched the bridge of my nose. "Bon, I know. And I'm not trying to tell you you have to forgive him. I'm sorry if that's what it was coming off as. You have every right to never forgive him, and I'm not saying you even have to be friends with him! But I am telling you that getting revenge by literally stabbing him and trapping him in some nightmare hell dimension, when he was just starting to show signs of wanting to make some kind of change, is the literal worst decision you could've made!"
"I've had enough of this," she said, holding up her hands and shaking her head as she took a few steps back from me. "I'm going to go see Elena, and I don't want to hear about this anymore."
"Fine. I was kinda done talking, anyway," I said. I took a deep breath and reached into my pocket, trying not to look too suspicious as I grabbed the ascendant that I'd stolen from Bonnie when I'd first seen her. Shady, for sure, but I stood by the fact that it was the right move. Every time my friends decided to get some kind of revenge when there was another option, it backfired. This time, I was determined to get us on a different path.
Being a witch had its perks, and it didn't take me long to work a little magic of my own on the ascendant. I saw Bonnie's eyes widen as she realized what I was doing, but then, before she could stop me, I was somewhere else. I looked around, finding myself in a clearing in the woods, a heavy blanket of snow all around.
This feels like a scene out of a horror movie, I thought, and immediately scowled at myself for going there. Not the kind of mindset I wanted to have right now.
I took a deep breath and looked around the circle, hoping for any signs of life, but I came up empty. Despite the fact that every instinct in my body told me not to, I took a deep breath and shouted into the darkness.
"KAI! Kai Parker, are you here?"
I waited, listening intently, but heard nothing. A shiver ran up my spine and I took a deep breath, trying not to let my imagination run away from me.
"Kai? Hello? My name is Y/N Y/L/N, I came to get you out of here!"
"I don't think I've met you before."
I whirled around at the sound of a voice behind me, doubling over with my hand on my heart as the adrenaline spiked and then started to drain away. A tall, handsome man with piercing blue eyes stood there staring at me, his head tilted slightly to the side with one eyebrow raised.
"Kai Parker, I presume?" I huffed between breaths, finally calming down enough to stand up straight again. "You scared the shit out of me."
"And who are you?"
"I'm Y/N Y/L/N-"
"Yeah, I heard your introduction. But who are you?"
"I'm a friend of the Mystic Falls gang, sort of. I've been gone visiting a different friend for a while, but I'm back for a visit. When I got here, Bonnie told me what she'd done to you, so I..." I trailed off then cleared my throat, feeling slightly guilty for what I'd done behind my friend's back. "I stole the ascendant and came to get you out."
"Nobody warned you about me?" asked Kai, prowling a few steps closer to me. I laughed a breathy laugh and held my ground, despite my heart picking up the pace ever so slightly.
"No, they did. At length."
Kai stopped at my words, quirking an eyebrow again.
"And you still came?"
I shrugged. "It sounded like you were interested in making a change, or even just making some friends, but nobody gave you a chance. I've been there before, and it sucks. So I thought I'd come and do something about it."
Kai just stared at me for a few beats, and I swear I could see his mind processing all the new information. I held in a smile at the sight; it was kind of cute.
"Okay, so, I'm kind of new to this whole... emotions thing," he said, waving a hand in the air and grimacing. "But... I'm feeling kind of... weird, right now."
"Weird how?" I asked, taking a few steps closer to him. He stared down at me, looking incredibly confused that I wanted to approach him, but answered any way.
"Weird like... like there's something moving around in my chest, and it's grabbing my heart in a claw and squeezing it."
This time I couldn't help it; I smiled.
"I mean, that could be a lot of things, but... maybe it's a little bit of relief? Or being overwhelmed that I'm here, and that I came for you?"
"Relief... hm, maybe. By the way, it was an absolutely insane choice for you to come here without even knowing me. Why did you... why did you do that?"
I shrugged. "Ever heard of Kol Mikaelson?"
"Mmm... maybe. Crazy powerful, insane Original vampire with a lot of brothers and a sister who like to terrorize the world?"
"Maybe not how I would describe them, but yeah."
"My parents talked about them. They debated trying to step in and put them down a few times."
"Oof. Probably better for everyone involved that they didn't."
"And what's your point?"
"The Mikaelsons first came to town a few years ago, and caused absolute chaos. Honestly, it was pretty terrible, and me and the rest of my friends were scrambling to figure out what to do about them. Kol was especially problematic, and he almost killed, like, half my friends."
"I can see why you speak so fondly of him now."
I rolled my eyes at the sarcasm. "Okay, we didn't really get along at first. But then, while Damon and crew were cooking up some insane attack plan revenge scheme whatever, I happened to run into Kol at the Mystic Grill. He was being menacing and trying to manipulate me, but then a song came on in the Grill, and we both immediately grimaced because it was a terrible song. It was such a tiny moment, but we actually made a real connection over it. And from there, little by little, we became actual friends. Instead of getting caught up in manipulations and scheming and attempts to do each other in, we started hanging out and making compromises about lines we wouldn't cross. And then he stopped being a problem for me and my friends."
"So...?"
"So, ever since, I've kind of made it my mission to give people a chance at redemption before going apeshit with the rest of the Mystic Falls Gang and their insane ass schemes. Sometimes it doesn't work, but sometimes it does, and it saves us all a lot of hurting. And, sometimes, I find a new best friend."
"So you're best friends with a psychotic Original vampire now, because you both hated the same song?"
"Yup! He's the friend I was coming back from visiting, actually. It's crazy how life works sometimes, isn't it?"
"What was the song?"
"Uck, some garbage by the Spin Doctors."
A ghost of a smile flashed across Kai's face, and he huffed a small laugh.
"You hate the Spin Doctors?"
"Big time."
"Huh. So... assuming I go along with this, and don't just siphon your magic and take the ascendant..." he started taking a few casual steps closer to me. We were almost chest to chest now, but I still didn't back down an inch. "What's your plan for stopping me from getting revenge on Bonnie for literally stabbing me in the back?"
I sighed. "What is everyone's obsession with getting revenge all the time?" I cried, throwing my hands up in the air. "Seriously, don't you people have better things to do?"
Kai just raised an eyebrow at me again, so I put my hands on my hips and fixed him with a look.
"My plan is to convince you of the same thing I convinced Kol: there are way better things to spend your time on than some ridiculous revenge scheme that's only gonna make life worse for everyone, you included."
"By doing what?"
"Offering you a better option." I smiled, then gestured with my hands to add a little dramatic flair to my words. "Picture this: touring the world, visiting all kinds of cool new places, singing some good karaoke, and finally escaping all the stress and heartache and negative emotions that come with involving yourself in Mystic Falls drama."
"Possibly tempting... say more."
"Kai, look, I know I don't know you. But I'd like to. And if you agree, I say we go on an adventure together. You're new to the modern world, there's no way you've seen all of the coolest things we have to offer post-nineties. Let's go explore it together. We can start in New Orleans, and you can meet Kol, and then we can go wherever the hell we want after that."
Kai swallowed hard, and although I could tell he was trying to keep up his smooth, cool, scary posturing, I'd gotten pretty good at reading emotions over the years. There were finally some cracks in the mask, and I could see the hope and hurt swirling just under the surface.
"You'd really... you'd really do that?"
"Yeah. I'm all about having adventures, and I want a buddy to go see the world with. So... what do you say? Wanna be my buddy and dip out on the whole revenge thing?"
A smile tugged at the corner of Kai's mouth, and although he tried to fight it, he couldn't hold it in.
"Well, I guess since you came all this way..."
I grinned at him, not even bothering to try to play it cool. I held out my hand, and after a short pause, Kai took it.
"You know I can siphon peoples' magic by touching them, right?" he asked, his grip on my hand tightening just a little. I squeezed right back.
"Yeah, I told you before, I got briefed on your whole deal. Now c'mon, we've got places to see."
With my free hand, I pulled the Ascendant out of my pocket. I could see Kai smiling out of the corner of my eye as I started to the spell to take us back, and our hands were clasped tight enough that I could feel his heart racing through his palm. Sure, my style of dealing with things didn't always work, but a little kindness and an olive branch sure could go a long way.
It didn't take me long to get the spell right, and suddenly, Kai and I were standing in the middle of the Salvatore living room, right where I'd left Bonnie after our argument. I really shouldn't have been surprised, but we were immediately surrounded by the Mystic Falls gang, looking ready to fight.
I swore, clutching Kai's hand a little tighter. He squeezed my hand back, which I hoped was a good sign, and I did my best to stare down my friends.
"Guys, listen, I get that you're not a fan of Kai, but I seriously need you all to back the hell off-"
Their faces immediately transformed into looks of shock and horror, and then they stopped looking at me and Kai and started staring around the room instead. At the same time, I felt just the slightest trickle of my power drain away, and I turned to Kai in confusion.
"What-?"
"I made us invisible," he quickly explained, suddenly looking a little concerned. "I hope that's okay. I needed to siphon you to do it, and we didn't really have time to consult. Agh, just, don't freak out on my-"
"Kai," I held up a hand to stop him, and he immediately froze, looking at me with wide eyes. I could see the fear and insecurity as plain as day, as he clearly worried he'd just scared off his new (and only) friend. "It's okay, I was just surprised. Honestly, it was a great move. We should probably get out of here, though, before they get any ideas."
Kai sagged with relief. "Okay, good, because for a second I thought-"
"Hey. Seriously, it's okay. It's going to take more than a well-timed spell to frighten me off. I'm friends with an Original vampire, remember?"
Kai smiled at me, then started to look confused again as he raised his free hand to clutch at his chest.
"Is this... what is this? Ugh, feelings suck."
"No shit," I agreed with a laugh. Gently, I tugged him towards me with our joined hands, and he looked at me with wonder in his eyes. "You wanna talk about what it feels like?"
"It feels like I'm having a heart attack. And like... like insects are flapping around in my chest whenever I look at you. Are you secretly killing me with some spell I don't know about?"
I couldn't help a small laugh, even as I shook my head.
"Most people call those butterflies, Kai."
"This is what people were talking about when they said that? Weird, but... kinda fits."
I hummed, then on whim that I let myself be carried away by, I leaned up and kissed Kai on the cheek. He turned to look at me in complete shock, a disbelieving but happy and dazed look on his face, and I couldn't help another small laugh.
"C'mon, we can analyze how close butterflies and heart attacks are to the same feeling later," I said, tugging him along with me towards the front doors of the Salvatore house. "Right now, we've got a road trip to New Orleans to begin. And once we get to the car I can show you Spotify. You're gonna love it."
"I can't wait," he said, his voice still a little dreamy as he followed behind me. Now it was my turn to fight butterflies as we snuck out of the house together, still hand in hand. As much as I'd compared him to Kol, I'd never felt like this around my best friend.
Whatever the future held next, I could tell it was going to be an absolutely incredible adventure. And no matter what, I truly couldn't wait to get to know Kai Parker, especially away from all the drama of Mystic Falls.
I had a good feeling about this.

He knows it's wrong.
He knows that even if you tell him it won't, it will definitely change something between you both. If not for you, then definitely for him. Because the way you touch him makes him delusional, makes him think that this might be some romantic movie where at the end of all this, you'll confess your love and live happily ever after.
But that's not what's going to happen.
And he's painfully aware of this.
You're friends, and that alone could already cause chaos if found out by the public. You? A random person he'd met years ago, who's neither a celebrity nor involved in the scene at all? You're no fit for him, from a professional standpoint. Nothing visually outstanding, no groundbreaking achievements in life, just a normal person.
No fit for him. He knows this.
And yet he's given in, and there's no backing out now. His hands are already underneath your shirt, exploring your warm skin he hopefully soon will get to see as well. It's like he's taking the first hit of a drug he knows he's already doomed to instantly become addicted to.
He can't stop.
Not when every time he let's himself go with you, he feels as if he's thrown into a different dimension, like a lucid dream where time doesn't matter, and feelings swallow him whole. You're the cause of his heartache, and yet he chooses you over anything else that would hurt less.
"I can't-" it's something he says often, especially to you. You're sure there's thoughts jn his head that he's not comfortable enough to share with you, and it enables your delusions of him possibly devoting himself to you like someone buying an addict their drugs. It's wrong, on every level, but understandable, because no one likes tk watch pain unfold like that.
He's slow this time, seems to drag it out. You're both naked, very much so, but he's more focused on you than anything else it seems. His inked hand between your legs cramps up after a while, so he instead falls onto his stomach before dragging you closer by your thighs. You laugh for a second at the anger on his face as he has to push the sheets away from your entrance.
He's loosing this, whatever it is. Himself, you, everything- he's loosing control over this entire situation.
The company doesn't know how involved he is with you. If they did, he'd surely get more than just a scolding, he knows the consequences from the things that had happened to other members in the past. Namjoon's girlfriend being slapped with an NDA and consequential breakup resulting from it, Jin's constant fights because he never breaks and never backs down. He protects, he's bold, he's chosen to fight for his partner as much as he has to.
But Jungkook isn't Jin. He's scared, of the consequences, of what would happen to you. Or maybe it's simply possessiveness? Selfishness? Maybe he just can't stand the thought of you being with someone else.
Your first wave of pleasure hits you surprisingly softly, making him part from you before he wipes his mouth with his inked arm. There's a tiny artwork in between all of them. Small, random, even to you- but that's because he will probably never confess that it's for you.
When he had it done he'd laughed to himself, because it had hurt. Badly so. But it could never compare to what he feels with every kiss you grant him. What he feels whenever he wonders when you'll find someone better.
He sucks and bites his marks into your skin angrily at that, desperate as his mind unravels scenario after scenario of you squirming like this for another man, another woman. It doesn't matter to him.
He wants you. And he wants you to want him too.
Your hands run over his arms like he's made of glass, and he doesn't know why that makes him feel funny. You always treat him so delicately even though he's anything but. He's a man, muscles toned, body towering over you, and yet you're always so gentle.
When you help him tie his hair to get it out his face, you never pull the hairtie too close to his scalp, because you now it gives him a headache. You don't use perfume but a softer scent that smells like flowers and vanilla because it makes him nauseous if something smells too strong. You know him, so so well, and it hurts, because he knows if you were his, he'd get to feel these things all the time.
The moment he pushes himself inside you, he knows he won't last long this time. Not because of the agonizingly long foreplay, or the whimpers of pleasure falling from your lips, but because he simply can't go on like this.
He's made his choice. And tonight, he will be selfish one last time.
For real.
He's slow, sensual, tastes your skin to imprint it into his mind. He'd taken a picture of you with his dog last time, sneakily so, because you don't like having images taken. His phone could be hacked any second of the day, exposing him and you in the process.
You're not worried for yourself. But for him.
At a certain point, you hold onto him a little tighter than usual, and your warm arms barely reaching over his back break him like a rotten tree.
"I love you."
It's muffled into your skin, barely distinguishable from the creaking of the bed and his kisses close to your ear, but you hear it, and it freezes your blood. "Jungk-"
"I can't do this." he breaks, keeping his momentum, desperate as his angry tears dampen your shoulder. "I don't want this anymore.!" he presses out in frustration.
He says all of this, and yet he still continues.
It's like how he won't wash his clothes until you've hugged a different shirt of his so he can keep a trace of you whenever you're gone. Or how he rather hugs his blankets after you've slept over just to at least pretend for a second that you're there.
His orgasm is bittersweet. Unsatisfying because of himself punishing his own body. He's not allowing himself to enjoy any of it.
You leave after catching your breath, light of his bathroom bleeding into the bedroom, showing the mess that's on his sheets, equal to what's going on inside of him. He can hear you get ready again, washing yourself before you walk out-
Still naked?
"Come on, you'll catch a cold like that." you quietly say, pulling at his hand to drag him into the bathroom as well. He's like a child, stubborn, doesn't want it to end yet. He doesn't care if his thoughts are disgusting, but he doesn't want to wash anything off. He wants to stay like this, with you, forever. Have you ever held his hand before? He can't remember.
Why are you holding it now when he want to let you go?
While he's busy showering in shame, you pull the sheets off and search in his closet for new ones. It's a little odd for you to do this, but it feels right at the same time. You don't like seeing him hurt like this. Maybe tonight is just a bad night for him.
You've always been like that. Expecting the worst, hoping for the bad. That way, you rarely ever get disappointed in the outcome.
When he's back out you're at least wearing panties, back turned towards him as you zip the blanket covers shut. "I'm sorry." he apologizes quietly, watching you simply hum at that.
You're not sure what he's sorry for. Meeting you? Letting you in? Befriending you? Fucking you? Or maybe just breaking your heart?
It doesn't matter, because he himself doesn't know it either.
"I'm sorry too." you say suddenly, and he watches your bare back move around as you put the sheets in the hamper close by. "I shouldn't have agreed in the first place." you mumble, and he sighs, picking up his discarded shirt before he pulls it over your head.
"you'll catch a cold like this." he copies your words, and you push your lips together in a straight line while he helps your arms through the designated holes of the shirt.
"Do you regret it?" you wonder, looking down from his apartment window.
"no." he answers far too quickly. "I just feel... Guilty. Every time." he confesses.
"how so?" you wonder. This is oddly the most you've talked in weeks. Months even.
"I feel like I'm wasting your time." Jungkook somberly explains. "Time you could spend meeting someone who's going to be good to you. Treat you well." he offers.
"Honestly, you're right. It was wasted time." you nod. "But I was happy, you know? At least for a moment."
His eyes sting again. He doesn't want this.
"I'm glad." he simply says, unable to get anything else out as his throat closes.
"I heard it, by the way." you tell him. "your 'I love you'." you say. He sighs.
"I didn't mean to.." he shapely admits. "but I couldn't hold it in. I.. Wanted to say it at least once to you."
"hmm." you hum. "I love you too." you tilt your head to the side, hugging yourself while he stands next to you with a bit of distance. "felt nice saying that. You know, at least once."
He nods. It's true- at least you've said it once. And he feels a bit lighter knowing that he shares the pain, as harsh as it sounds.
"imagine what would happen if the people down there knew what we'd been up to this past year." you chuckle, watching the people small like ants down on the ground. "I wonder this every time I leave, you know? Whenever I walk past someone. What would they do if they knew?" you softly say, and suddenly, his tears dry before they can fall.
They don't know.
They don't know.
"But they don't know." he says out loud.
"they don't." you repeat.
Slowly, with the company of his dog's tapping feet in the living room somewhere and the cars down beneath your feet, he walks behind you, pulls you into his front, his arms around you.
"you'll get hurt, Jungkook." you remind him.
"nothing can hurt me more than not having you." he simply says, resting his forehead in the crook of your neck.
"is that your post-nut-clarity speaking?" you joke, and he pinches your sides at that, earning a laugh from you as you squirm in his arms, his dog eagerly barking at the excitement suddenly bubbling.
"no, that's ny poor heart scolding you!" he responds, turning you around in his embrace, still not letting you go.
"oh no. Is there anything I can do to fix it?" you wonder.
"stay the night?" he asks with hopeful eyes.
"just tonight? Easy." you nod.
"no, forever." he adds, gaze a bit mor serious. "for as long as we can."
You know you can't say yes. You know there is no forever for you.
And yet you lean in, kiss his lips.
"okay."

So post Beyond the Spider-Verse. Miles and Gwen have things patched up, you know those two are EXHAUSTED and Peter B. is gonna turn around from whatever celebration they're having (they BETTER end this movie with a cookout if Miles' parents learn he's Spider-Man) and you've got Gwen curled into Miles passed out while Miles is snoring. Gwen's got her hood pulled up to keep the lights out of her eyes and Miles' jacket is spread across them.
I like this idea, mind if I write a bit about it with some variants?
Headcanon: Gwen when she is sleepy defaults to following people who she is close to; Miles may be closer to the top of the list that he may realize.

In a liminal space, we still find ourselves reaching for each other
As much as Miles wanted to kiss his parents goodnight and hit the bed, Peter's proposition to stop by his house to recharge seemed like the best idea.
He still needed to tell his parents that he was Spiderman, and maybe would be better to do it when he is less beaten down and with some sleep. Miles isn't sure when was the last time he slept; dimension hoping made time very confusing.
As they stepped into the house in Queen's (Miles assumed it was the living room but he couldn't be too sure,) Mary Jane stepped in from another room. It was kind of weird knowing who she is without even being presented first.
"Hi, I'm-" He started, a bit slower than he would like to. Too many hits in the head for one day.
"Miles" She completed seamlessly, smiling brightly at him as she put her hands on his shoulders "I had heard so much about you," And out of nowhere, she hugged him "Thank you for bringing him back to me," she told her in a really low voice, one he wasn't sure if it was meant just for him or not.
As tired and beaten down as he felt, he couldn't help but smile fondly as he awkwardly hugged her back. It was a good reminder too, that some of the greatest things he did weren't for being Spider-man, just by being Miles.
"C'mon honey, let the kid breathe," Peter says as he walks up to them.
"And you-" Mary Janes puts a finger on his chest, she doesn't look especially pleased but not too angry "I imagined it was serious when you went back to leave Mayday with me, but what happened? All of you look like you were thrown into a blender."
"Is a loooong story," Peter said, putting his hands up as he is trying to placate her anger, "Speaking of which, I promised them they could crash here until they recharge, hope that's okay-"
"Hmph," Mary Jane crosses her arms, looking at her husband unimpressed "I prefer a little bit more of a warning when you invite people, but I guess this was an emergency. Help me out to get some stuff for our guest."
"On it ma'am," He said with a mocking salute, to which she rolled her eyes before going to what seemed to be the kitchen. Despite how tired Peter B should be, he smiled brightly at them and said "Relax guys, my house is your house."
"Don't need to tell me twice mate," Hobie said as he looked around for a place where to drop dead, which seemed to be everyone's idea. They were all beaten down.
Miles, despite being ready to sleep for an eternity, followed Peter B and Mary Jane because even half dead his upbringing was stronger than any tiredness could be, and he could hear his mom in the back of his head saying "Be polite, bring a gift, and ask if you can help with anything they may need when you are visiting someone!"
Sadly he couldn't bring anything after trying to defy fate and time itself, but at least he could still be nice.
Aparently the couple didn't realize he was following them, because when Mary Jane turned around with cups in her hands she said "Oh Miles! Do you need anything?"
The place was homey, almost in an old-timey way. Pictures everywhere, a floral wallpaper that reminded him of white old ladies, but the warmth he feel around wasn't exactly for the warm lighting.
The kitchen seemed to have the same vibe, kind of similar to the one the Aunt May of his universe had.
"Um, I was going to ask if you guys needed any help?"
"Oh you are sweetheart," She said cheerily, before softly shaking her head "But you don't need to do anything, you are our guest and you had done more for us than you can ever imagine; please go to rest."
"You hear the lady, sit this one out, we will handle it," Peter said as he patted his back, before looking behind Miles and saying "Hey Gwen, you want anything?"
Miles turned around once he saw Peter looking behind him. Gwen stood at the entrance to the kitchen, she has been so quiet Miles also didn’t hear her come.
At the sound of her name, Gwen straightened her back and blinked a bit, as if she has been falling asleep on her feet, yet somehow she has decided to follow them here for some reason.
As she looked on to the front, she seemed to have the faintest blush, before she groaned and scrubbed her eyes “No, I- sorry, I guess I need some sleep.”
“Oh you can say that for all of us,” Peter laughed gleefully, before leaning his head to the side for Miles “You guys go to the living room, we will see if we can whip something quick to eat and see what we can do about emergency sleep arrangements.”
As they went to the other room, Miles realized that everybody has somehow found an answer to that last issue.
The living room had two loveseats and one armchair, and everyone more or less had found a place. On the loveseat that closest to the entrance, Noir was sleeping with Peni and Ham in his arms, Peni’s robot was turned off in a corner, and on the arm closest to Peni’s and Noir’s head was a hologram that read “Say ‘Spider-byte’ to bring user’s attention. P.S: Don’t wake me up unless the dimensions are collapsing.”
Pavitr has decided to go on the armchair, and you would believe he has been sleeping there for a long time because his head was hanging on the side, one of his legs was on the arm of the couch and the other lying against where your back is supposed to go. If it wasn’t because he was breathing fine, Miles would have thought he lost conscience and someone drop his body from the ceiling.
Speaking of the ceiling, even with one more loveseat available, Hobie had opted to make a hammock out of webbing as close to the ceiling as possible, on a corner of the room. From his position, Miles thought Hobie was using his mask on; maybe he needed more darkness to sleep than he needed to breathe properly.
At least it meant his decision was easy.
Dragging his feet on the ground, he let himself fall onto the side of the loveseat, he would have rejoiced in glee at how soft the couch felt against his beaten body if he himself wasn’t so tired.
Yet he didn’t have time to even sigh before he felt someone else not only fall right beside him but had her head leaning towards him. Miles felt himself go still as he felt the warmth of Gwen right beside him.
Despite the loveseat being big enough to have space for both of them.
How rigid his body was must have alerted Gwen because her eyes fluttered open, and seemed to look a bit confused towards him before she almost jumped on her spot and moved away enough that their bodies weren’t touched anymore.
“Shoot,” She muttered to herself before she hit her forehead “Sorry, when I am sleepy I just- sorry.”
Perhaps is because he was tired and his mind was making stuff up, but somehow things were starting to click in his head. The sleepiness in Gwen seemed to make her follow someone, and for reasons beyond his understanding, Miles has been the person she has decided to attach herself to, even if subconsciously.
“That’s different” Gwen had said to him before in the Williamsburg Tower, saying it as if somehow what they had was different from what she had with anybody else. That conversation felt like a lifetime ago, and yet his heartbeat raced all the same.
There were still a lot of things to talk about, of the lies and the secrets that she has keep, and how he has been feeling about all of this. Even now he wasn’t sure what to say.
“Is fine, we are all tired,” He said casually, before raising the arm that was closest to her side, “Come here, we can catch some zzz together.”
And regardless of all of it, he felt himself wanting to reach out to her too, missing her warmth even if he only got to have it for a second.
In a way, that’s what had ended up happening to him, wasn’t it? She came for what should have been just a blink in his lifetime, and he still was unable to let her go.
Her eyes opened slightly, as if she was surprised he had actually said that; probably thinking all the same things that were still between them and neither of them had the brain to talk about. He saw the hesitation in her eyes, as if she herself wasn’t sure if it was okay to accept.
Maybe it was a bit of wishful thinking on his part to think that way, as he said “Is okay, you can lean on me Gwen.”
Miles has really meant that in a literal way, even if deep down, he knew he meant it all the way. As upset as he was, he couldn’t bring himself to be mad at her, not when they were like this.
That seemed to be all the encouragement that she needed, because she quickly went back to his side, in fact so quick he was a bit shocked.
“Thanks,” she whispered to him, bringing her knees up to her chest as she rested her head on his shoulder, one of her arms hugged Miles’ waist as her other hand was left between her knees.
As it was the most natural thing in the world, his arms went around her, holding onto her as he rested his head on top of hers, “No problem.”
Despite the pain, the couch and still being in his suit, it was the best sleep he had in months.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
A/N: The first movie isn't real.
Summary: A platonic girls' night with Steve, Robin, and Nancy.
Girls' night. He was perfectly okay with it being called girls' night. Steve was actually excited about it. It would be the first time him and Nancy would be hanging out since they cleared the air. They sat down and actually talked about what happened between them. Nancy apologized for how she handled things between them. Steve tried to apologize for not being a better boyfriend, and Nancy had promptly hit him over the head with newspaper, telling him that he had been a damn good boyfriend. They talked about Barb, and they both decided that they had nothing to apologize for that night. It had been Dr. Brenner's for playing God. If it hadn't been for his experiment, then Barb would have lived. They were just normal teenagers that night, enjoying each other's company.
Newly single Nancy fucked him that night and it was like closing a book after it was left open to long. It was finished, and they could finally move forward to actually being friends. They had woken up the next morning, feeling better than they had in a long time. The sun had shone over both of them, and the birds sang loudly. Steve remembered looking at Nancy, and the feeling he had unknowingly held onto for so long was gone. In its place was closure. He's not sure why, but they had looked at each other and laughed. It was the last time they would sleep together, and when Steve would look back on this moment, he would look back on their relationship fondly. . .with no more regrets.
"Hello, ladies," Steve grinned when he opened the door.
"Well, this is familiar," Nancy said.
Nancy had picked up Robin on the way to Steve’s and they were now standing on his doorstep. Nancy's eyes sparkled with a little bit of sadness, something that would probably always be there, but over all, she looked pretty happy. Steve grinned.
"Ready to raise a little hell?" Steve asked, and Nancy laughed.
"Okay, the first rule of girls' night is no leaving Robin out of inside jokes," Robin said as she pushed herself inside, pulling Nancy along with her.
"Oh, is Robin speaking in the third person now?" Steve scoffed.
"Only for this moment, she is," Robin said. "Whoops, I accidentally spoke like Yoda."
"So, what's first on the agenda on our night of hell raising?" Nancy asked.
"Pizza and movie first. That's absolute. It has to be a stupid, mockable rom com. It has to be as cheesy as the pizza," Robin said.
"Then we spend some time picking it apart. We then put on a movie that we do like. You know, usual one that makes us cry," Steve said.
"Then after that, we do facials and paint each other's nails while we gossip. Don't worry, we only gossip about people we don't like," Robin said, and Nancy laughed. "We gossip about Keith a lot."
"Then the very last thing, we dance around in our socks, our sleep shirts and underwear. Tonight's song: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," Steve finished.
"How often do you guys do this?" Nancy asked.
"All of the time," Steve and Robin said together.
They all settled down to watch a movie that Robin picked out, the pizza boxes spread out on the coffee table. The movie they were watching was called Better to Have Loved, which turned out better than they had expected.
"With a title like that, I really thought that it was going to be super cheesy like the cover of the tape," Robin said. "But I really loved it. Kind of sad that Andy didn't end up with the love of his life. It was nice that he decided his friendship with Larry was more important. Although, they never explained how a jock and a metalhead became such close friends."
"Well, obviously, they got trapped in another dimension together," Steve said and they all laughed.
"You're so wrong, Robin," Nancy said. "Andy did end up with the love of his life."
"What? The movie ended like it started with Andy crawling into Larry's bed like they always do," Robin said and then paused. "Wait. . . are you implying that Andy and Larry are in love?"
"If the shoe fits," Nancy said.
"As a lesbian, I think that I would be able to sense it," Robin said.
"You didn't sense anything with me. I had to tell you that I'm bisexual," Steve said. "I don't know. I see it now. Yes, Andy is definitely in love with Eddie."
Robin and Nancy's head snapped together to look in his direction.
"The metalhead's name is Larry," Robin said slowly.
"Yeah, that's what I said," Steve said.
"No, dingus, you said Eddie," Robin said.
"Did I?" Steve asked, his voice squeaking.
"Oh my god! I knew it!" Nancy exclaimed.
"What? You knew nothing, Wheeler," Steve laughed. "You're pretty smart, but you don't know everything."
"You were definitely making eyes at Eddie in the Upside Down and every time I've come over for your little get togethers," Nancy said and then paused. "By the way, thank you for trusting me enough to tell me about yourselves."
"Oh, shit, we did just come out to her," Robin said and then giggled. "So, you're really cool with it?"
"Yeah!" Nancy said.
"Okay, let's do the facials, paint our nails, and gossip like the bitches that we are," Robin said. "Then we're going to make Margaritas and watch Pretty in Pink."
"Again, Robin? Seriously? This is because of her crush," Steve said rolling her eyes. "She looks like Molly Ringwald."
"She really does," Robin said, sighing dreamily. "Vickie Fisher."
"Oh, I talked to her a couple of times. She's cute. I can definitely see you guys together," Nancy said.
"Yeah, she broke up with her boyfriend for Robin," Steve said, wiggling his eyebrows.
"You don't know that!" Robin shrieked.
"And you'll never know unless you take the risk," Steve said.
"Yeah, I'll tell Vickie the day that you admit that you are madly in love with Eddie!" Robin yelled at him. "By the way, how did I miss that?!"
"Because your gaydar sucks!" Steve exclaimed.
"Ah ha! You admit it!"
"I admit nothing!"
After Robin and Steve argued for a bit, they finally put on their face masks before doing their nails.
"Unfortunately, Keith has been absolutely boring lately so does anyone else have any gossip?" Robin asked.
"El broke up with Mike and Mike is mad at me because he thinks it's my fault," Nancy said.
"Why would he think that?" Steve asked.
"Well, It surprised me but El came to me for advice because she felt like she didn't want to be with Mike anymore because she couldn't handle a relationship right now," Nancy said. "I wouldn't blame her after everything she's been through. I told her that was normal and that if she didn't want to be with him, then she needed to be honest with him about why. Mike wasn't too pleased with me."
"The kid's a little shit but he's also experiencing his first heartbreak," Steve said. "He'll pull his head out of his ass and realize that you guys were both right."
"I always thought it was weird that El jumped into a relationship right after escaping a lab who kept her prisoner her entire life," Robin said. "So, I think it's going to be nice that she's going to finally focus on herself for once."
"You think?" Nancy asked.
"Yeah. Isn't that what you're doing?" Robin asked. "Platonic relationships are just as important as romantic. I wish more people understood that."
"You know, I'm really glad that you guys let me be a part of this," Nancy said. "You know, for the longest time I didn't really let myself get close to people, I mean really close even when I was with Jonathan and especially when I was with Steve. I didn't even let myself get close to Fred which I deeply regret now. I don't want to do that, to shield myself away from people just because they might die because that might happen whether or not I get close to anyone. I think it's going to be nice to have friends again."
Steve and Robin shared a soft smile over Nancy's head. They pulled her into a hug and started kissing her cheeks.
"It's going to be nice to have you as a friend, too, Nance," Robin said.
"I definitely think our new relationship holds a lot more meaning for both of us," Steve said. "I think we were always supposed to be friends."
"Yeah, we just needed to fuck a few times to be sure," Nancy giggled and Steve laughed.
"OH! You had to ruin it, Nance! You just had to go there!" Robin exclaimed. "The images are burned into my retina. Okay, another rule about this platonic girl's night out: no mentioning you two fucking! It's over, it's done with! Finite."
"She's very dramatic," Nancy said. "By the way, you seem to be very comfortable about calling it girls' night."
"I am perfectly comfortable with my masculinity and my femininity," Steve said. "No shame."
"It's one of the things that I love about him," Robin said fondly. "He lets me practice my makeup skills on him all the time and vice versa. Although, he's better at putting makeup on me and doing hair. Did I tell you that he's the one who cut my hair? He would make a good beautician. I keep telling him that, but he doesn't believe me."
"I can see it," Nancy said, smirking at Robin. "He's definitely good with his hands."
"OH! You did that on purpose!" Robin exclaimed. "Bad Nancy! Do I have to get the spray bottle?"
After their nails dried, they headed into the kitchen to make the Margaritas. After another argument, they watched Pretty in Pink where Robin openly fawned over Molly Ringwald. They drank a lot, causing Steve to reveal that he does in fact like Eddie.
"He's just so. . . just so. . . preeeetttty," Steve said as he hung upside down on the couch.
"Eh," Nancy said, shrugging her shoulders.
"Eh? EH?! Oh, I'm so glad that we're just bologna," Steve said with a snort and laughed. "Bologna? I meant platonic! I'm silly."
"I double dog dare you to tell Eddie that you want to have his babies!" Robin yelled.
"Only if you tell Vickie that you want to have hers!" Steve yelled.
"I don't want to have babies. I want to give her a bunch of dogs. She loves dogs," Robin sighed.
"Aren't you allergic?" Steve asked.
"I will do anything for her," she said. "Call Edward and I shall call Victoria! Oh, you have that speaker phone thingy. Put that on so we know that it's Eddie! Make the call! No traps!"
"This is fun. You guys are fun!" Nancy giggled.
Steve rolled off the couch and they all moved closer to the phone. He struggled to remember Eddie's phone number for a moment until he did, and he dialed the number gleefully, turning on the speaker phone.
"Hello?" Eddie's voice came out of the speaker.
"Eddie! Hi!" Steve giggled.
"Hey, Stevie. You sound a little drunk. How's girls' night going?" Eddie laughed.
"Oh, you know. . .finnnne," Steve said, biting his lip. "Could be better, though. Wish you were here."
"Yeah?" Eddie asked.
"No, Steve!" Nancy whined.
"Oh, is Nancy there?" Eddie asked.
"Yes! But don't worry. I say this to anyone in the universe who happens to be interested in Steve, we fucked out all the romance. Now, we're just bolognas," Nancy giggled.
"Bolognas?" Eddie asked in amusement.
"No, Eddie! It's platonic!" Nancy giggled. "Silly."
"Yes, silly me," he laughed. "What did you guys drink?"
"Ritas!" Steve screamed and spoked softly, "Teddy. There's something I need to tell you."
"You can tell me anything," Eddie said.
"Why don't you come over, big boy?" Steve asked, giggling. "Oh, wait, that's what you call me."
"No, Steve! No, boys allowed! Only platonic girls!" Robin shrieked.
"We can have this conversation when you're sober," Eddie said.
"You want to hear what I have to say?" Steve asked.
"Oh yeah," Eddie said.
"Wait, you supposed to tell Eddie, then I tell Vickie!" Robin whispered loudly to Steve. "What do I do now?"
"Tell her when you're sober, Buckley," Eddie said.
"Eddie! You're not supposed to be here!" Robin shrieked.
"I'm on the phone, Robin," Eddie said. "I should go now. Have fun, ladies."
"Bye, Eddie," Steve said and blew kisses at the phone.
"Aw, he blew kisses at the phone," Nancy giggled.
"I blew some back, big boy," Eddie said. "You better catch them before they get away."
"Robin! Quick! Catch them! They're floating away!" Steve exclaimed.
"Gone, gone, gone," Robin said, looking up at the ceiling. "Bye, bye, Eddie's kisses!"
"You didn't even try!"
After they hung up the phone with Eddie, they started to prepare to dance to Cyndi Lauper.
"I know that your mom said no but can we please wear them?" Robin asked. "Please?"
"Ugh, fine!" Steve grinned.
"Wear what?" Nancy asked.
Robin giggled and pulled Nancy up the stairs into Steve's parents' bedroom. She opened the door to their closet to reveal several fluffy, fur trimmed robes.
"Maggie loves walking around the house in these," Robin said with a grin.
"She's so dramatic, I love her," Steve grinned.
"Ooh, I want the blue one," Nancy said.
"I'll gladly take the pink one," Steve said.
"Green for me!" Robin exclaimed.
They wondered downstairs in their robes and started blasting the song.
"I don't know about this," Nancy said. "I feel kind of stupid."
"That's the whole point, Nance," Robin said. "That's why we're drunk. Turn off our brains so we can do the stupid thing!"
Steve grabbed Nancy's arms and started to help her dance. He moved her arms back and forth before she started to move by herself. She began to jump up and down, giggling as Robin leaped around them. Sometimes, it's okay to let loose every once in a while. It's okay to be career driven or not know what you want to do with your life yet, and it was okay to not even know who you are. Sometimes you know, sometimes you don't. It was alright to take a pause for a moment, to smell the roses, and to let your hair down.
Nancy had thought about that as she danced around the room with Steve and Robin, shaking her hips as she so. She could feel the guilt and the resentment she had placed on herself start to fade away, her shoulders relaxing as she moved around, and then it was her entire body relaxing completely. Life was whatever you wanted it to be, and no one could tell you how to live your life except you. Dancing it out wasn't the answer to all of her problems, but it certainly helped. It helped to have people to lean on as well because while they can't tell you what to do, they can help you figure it out. As she danced with Steve, she felt closer to him than she ever had before, and it really was better for both of them.
The next morning. . .
Eddie strolled into the Harrington house, eager to see the aftermath of last night and to have that conversation with Steve. He laughed when he walked into the living room. The three of them was spread out all across the floor and they were all wearing giant fluffy robes. Lipstick was smeared Steve's mouth and the words 'Mrs. Munson' was written on his forehead. Steve groaned and opened his eyes, blinking rapidly.
"Hey, Eddie," he said softly.
"Hey, big boy," Eddie said, grinning from ear to ear. "You ready for that talk?"
"Get it, you big slut," Robin said and Nancy giggled.
"I feel like there's something on my face," Steve frowned.
"You look absolutely beautiful," Eddie said causing Steve to blush and giggle.
"I love you," Steve said fondly. "Robin! Your turn!"
"Gah! I haven't prepared a speech," Robin said. "Nance, we've solidified our platonic friendship pretty well last night, can you do me a solid favor and write it for me?"
"No!"
"Damn!"

Really solid thread by phil_spvrs on Twitter about why Earth-8 in Beyond the Spider-Verse wouldn't be a great idea:
Unpopular opinion: Please keep Earth-8 as far away from Beyond the Spider-Verse as possible 😬 Like, I'm sure the amazing people behind the movie would find a suitable reason to include Earth-8 and pull it off amazingly, I'm just not a fan of the concept. Let me explain I have seen people who want Gwen to meet Miles and Gwen's married Earth-8 counterparts, like she did in the comics. They want the Earth-8 variants to be the reason why she ultimately decides to pursue a relationship with Miles. I DON'T LIKE THAT IDEA. There is a reason why Gwen, in the comics, decided to stay friends with Miles because she felt like her hand was forced.
I want Gwen and Miles to choose each other REGARDLESS of what happens in other dimensions. That's the whole concept behind "There is a first time for everything, right?" I don't want Gwen to choose Miles because she sees a married version of them and goes "Oh, we will end up together anyway so might as well." They need to choose each other because they LOVE each other, no other reason. No outer influence. Any other version of them should be irrelevant to their relationship because they are in love with each other andd not because destiny tells them to do something one way. When they end up together in Beyond they'll have overcome incredible odds, basically destiny and canon itself to be together. It would cheapen that ending significantly if the reason for that is that Gwen saw other versions of them and goes "Oh, neat."
This is something that's been feeling a little off to me lately after initially being on Team "That'd Be Cute", but they put it into words much better than I would have been able to.

Aarini Dhar’s journals, which will act as a segway into my fanfiction!
Text under readmore:
Dear Journal,
It was a success!!! I can’t believe that it actually worked, and I can’t even begin to describe the world I’m seeing now!
Stacy and I had been waiting for several days now, but the monster finally showed up again at 0302 like clockwork. The creature’s been doing this for weeks now, but no one else in the household believed Stacy. At least, not until I arrived at the foster family’s house, of course. I must have tricked the monster into assuming that only Stacy was in the room because it only ever approached her bed—and then did nothing! It roared, sure, but left immediately after Stacy screamed. I slept in my usual sleeping place (under the desk) until the second time the monster arrived to scare her. I could’ve sworn I saw indoor lighting coming from the closet, even though I know the bulb blew days ago and the Snyder’s still hadn’t bothered to fix it.
I needed to know what was behind that door. Worst case scenario, I would get eaten by what other ungodly creatures were also in that closet-world. Best-case scenario, I could skip a few weeks from this hellhole. Anything to get away from the Snyder’s. So, Stacy and I kept up the usual rhythm: the monster entered the room, Stacy screamed, and from underneath my desk, I checked out glimpses of whatever world was inside the closet. After weeks of preparation, I made a monster disguise and a plan. I waited underneath a blanket next to the closet door every night, all night until the monster arrived again. And as soon as that door cracked open and the monster moved aside, I slid past them—dressed in my best monster disguise, a hard hat, and a vest! Jeremy from next door said that “nobody ever stops to question anybody in a hard hat and construction vest”, so it helped explain my appearance! After that, I just followed the Exit signs.
I can’t write for too long, but this world looks so similar to ours that I’m wondering if it’s almost like a mirror dimension. Like our world but with monsters instead of people. I fished out a few coins from a water fountain for bus fare, and I’m on my way to a Monsters University. Hopefully, I’ll be able to blend in a little better with a backpack there.

Dear Journal,
I managed to get on campus during freshmen orientation week, so it looks like luck is on my side! No one would bother a lost-looking freshman wandering around and exploring the campus. I snagged someone’s visitor pass for an added measure, but it looks like visitors are only allowed to sleep on campus with permission from the teachers. Looks like I’ll have to act the part of ‘student’, instead. I think I found where a good hideout might be—there’s a place called the Troll Bridge and a bunch of tunnels next to it! It might make for a good temporary stay while I do some research.
On the plus side, I don’t think I have to worry about getting eaten. Even though it seems monsters make careers out of scaring kids, they’re actually AFRAID of us! Apparently, we’re toxic and dangerous. And I’m not talking just snotty kindergarteners—everyone! All humans are, apparently, toxic or poisonous to monsters and everyone thinks they’ll DIE if a human touches them! They even make movies where human kids are villains—it’s crazy!
I can definitely say for a fact that humans are NOT toxic to monsters, though. I’ve been on campus for about a week now, and no one’s gotten sick. I’ve shaken hands—and claws, tentacles, and talons (!) —with a bunch of monsters and no one has shown any effects! I wonder why they keep telling themselves this… Maybe to protect their world? Not all humans are friendly, after all…
