Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
After more than 900 years of being a vampire, not a lot surprised me anymore. But when I woke up one morning to a call from Elijah Mikaelson, surprise bordering on shock was the overwhelming emotion.
I'd picked up the call without thinking about it, without checking the number. Even though I hadn't spoken to Elijah in hundreds of years, I still recognized his voice in an instant. He asked if he'd dialed the right number to reach me, and all I could do was exist in shocked silence for a few long moments.
I waited to respond for a few extra moments after snapping out of it, briefly debating hanging up. If it had been a different Mikaelson sibling, I would have done it. But if Elijah had tracked down my number to call me, I figured it must be for something important.
"...Yeah, Elijah, it's me. What do you... what do you want?"
I could hear his heavy sigh on the other end of the line, and I had to bite back a laugh. Once upon a time, I'd started to consider that sigh of exasperation the familiar gesture of family.
"Niklaus has broken his curse," he finally said. My heart stopped dead, but I tried not to let it show in my voice.
"Okay. And what does that have to do with me?"
"Niklaus also managed to kill our father, Mikael, and now that he's succeeded... he's undaggered our siblings."
"What?" I breathed. This couldn't be real. I must've been dreaming or something.
"He kept his word to me, albeit after taking advantage of a loophole," Elijah continued. "Finn has been undaggered, along with Kol and Rebekah. We're in Mystic Falls."
I sat down heavily in the nearest chair, my mind reeling. I'd been in love with Finn from the moment I'd met him, literal ages and lifetimes ago. We'd been inseparable from the moment Finn first started courting me, and although his family initially had mixed feelings, Finn had turned me and we'd gotten married with (mostly) full support.
And then, about fifty years into our marriage, Klaus had gotten angry at Finn, and daggered him. I'd spent about another fifty trying to get him back, until Klaus had almost killed me. He'd told me the next time I made a "rescue attempt", he wouldn't hold back. I was ready to keep going anyway, until he also threatened to dump Finn's body in the ocean, never to be found. I couldn't risk him following through. So I'd mourned the love of my life as if he was dead, and then I'd ditched every last other member of his family for good.
Until now. The thought that he was back, finally, free from that stupid box... It didn't seem real.
"Elijah, I've had very little issue with you in our long, long lives, but all the same... why should I believe you?"
"Why would I lie?"
"For Klaus."
"To accomplish what?"
I paused at that. I racked my brain, but I couldn't think of anything the middlest Mikaelson would possibly want with me. If there was something, I would've heard from him before now. And I hadn't. He'd left me alone for the past 850 years.
"Finn has been undaggered for a few days," Elijah continued, correctly reading my lack of protest as a green flag to continue. "I used my connections to track you down because we have a problem, and it seems like one you would be best able to solve."
Now it was my turn for an exasperated sigh through my nose.
"So you did call me for an agenda."
"One that serves you and Finn both." I rolled my eyes, and although Elijah couldn't see it, I had a feeling he knew what I was doing. "Our mother has mysteriously returned from the dead. Like our father, she is determined to wipe us off the Earth, as she feels our current forms are abominations. Unlike our father, she's been trying to talk us into agreeing with her and choosing to end our own lives."
I gasped, a scowl making its way onto my face. I didn't exactly love all of the Mikaelson siblings, but for a mother to try to convince her own children to kill themselves was absolutely horrific, no matter how many times I'd thought about killing her children myself.
"She hasn't made any inroads with any of us," Elijah reassured me. "Except... for Finn."
"You're joking."
"I'm not. Since being undaggered, my brother has expressed freely his feelings that immortality, especially as a vampire, is a curse that he wishes to end. My mother has only fed this mindset, and now I fear the two of them are working together to end all of us."
"And what do you want me to do about that, exactly?" I asked, even as I moved around my house to start packing a bag. If there was even a glimmer of hope that I could help Finn, I would. Even after 900 years, I knew if the positions were reversed, he would do the same for me.
"I'm hoping you can talk him off the ledge, so to speak," Elijah answered. "Keep everyone alive and well."
"I'm going to stop you right there, Elijah. It feels like you're building to threatening Finn, and I've had enough of that from your family for a million more lifetimes. I'll be there later today. Just tell me where I can find Finn."
"...I'll make sure he's at the Mystic Grill. It's a restaurant in the middle of town, you can't miss it."
"Great. See you in a few hours."
I hung up before he could say anything else.
Quickly, I finished throwing my things into a bag, then hurried out to my car. I had no time to waste if I wanted to save Finn.
Luckily for me, the drive only took a few hours, which gave me time to process everything Elijah had told me and that I'd have to face in Mystic Falls. It still didn't feel quite real that I was about to see Finn again.
That hazy dream finally faded when I walked through the doors of the Mystic Grill, my bags still in the car. I scanned the room and like a heat-seeking missile found Elijah in a corner booth, sitting across from someone who still had their back to me. The last time I'd seen Finn, he'd had hair down past his shoulders. But even from the back, with a new haircut and modern clothing, I knew it was him.
I quickly crossed the room, my heart speeding up with every step, until I stood before both of them. Elijah immediately turned to look at me, but I only had eyes for Finn.
He looked remarkably good, considering he'd been in a box for 900 years. He stared at Elijah with a raised eyebrow, then slowly turned to follow Elijah's gaze until he saw me.
The world stopped, and everyone else in the room disappeared. Finn, my Finn, the one I thought I'd lost any hope of ever seeing again, the man I loved beyond all else, was here. Sitting before me, looking at me with familiar hazel eyes. Alive.
"Finn," I breathed, the smallest of smiles tugging itself onto my face. An instant later, thanks to vampire speed, he had me wrapped tight in his arms. He breathed my name into my hair, so quietly that even Elijah's super-hearing probably didn't catch it. I squeezed him tight, a few tears leaking out as I did. He was back. He was really back, and alive. No dagger or gray skin or anything else that haunted my nightmares.
"How did you know I was here?" he finally asked, pulling back with awe on his face. I smiled and nodded towards his brother.
"Elijah found my number and called me. Can we talk?"
Finn glanced back at Elijah with slightly narrowed eyes, then looked back at me.
"...Yes. Lead the way."
I didn't know the town any better than he did, but I also didn't want to hang around the Grill in earshot of Elijah for this reunion, so I pulled Finn towards the door. We wandered towards the park, and after a quick scan of the area to make sure we weren't being eavesdropped on, I led him to a bench where we could sit together.
"I'm... so happy to see you, Finn," I said, taking his hands in mine and fighting to hold back another round of tears. "I hope you know... I tried to get you out sooner. I really did. I just... I wasn't strong enough. I am so, so sorry."
He shook his head, squeezing my hands a little in reassurance.
"It's alright. I'm glad I'm getting to see you again."
"Before you let Esther kill you?" Finn's eyebrows shot up, and I pursed my lips. "Elijah told me what you're planning to do, Finn. It's why he called me in the first place. I would've come running no matter what, but none of your siblings would've reached out to me without some other motive. We both know that."
Finn sighed through his nose and shook his head.
"And that is exactly why our time on Earth needs to come to an end. Monstrous behavior like that has become normal for them. For us. It has to stop."
"Does that include me?" Finn's gaze had wandered to other parts of the park, but it snapped back to me at my words. "Your umbrella of monstrous vampire behavior that has to stop. Am I under it just by virtue of being one?"
He sighed, staring down at our joined hands for a long, long time before looking up at me, pain in his eyes.
"I wish I could say no. My heart wants to say no. But... you've lived a long life in the years I've been gone. I don't really know you. Not who you are now."
I looked away, the gears turning in my brain as I nodded thoughtfully. He had a point; I had changed a lot in my 900 years wandering this Earth without him. But I still loved him, and I hadn't changed so drastically that he wouldn't recognize the new me.
"I have an idea," I said, turning back to him with a smile. "Let's go away together. Come back home with me for... a week. Let's get to know each other all over again, and I can show you why I've decided it's worth it to stick around all these hundreds of years. Alright?"
Finn frowned. "I don't know... my mother-"
"Has had her time to make her case. And if you really want to, you can come back here to her whenever you want. But you're my husband, Finn. Nine hundred years, and I've only ever loved you. So now it's my turn."
The barest hint of a smile quirked up the corner of his mouth.
"It seems like you haven't changed much, in a few ways at least."
I grinned. "I didn't need much longer than we had together to get good at telling off pushy family members of yours. The only one who's ever bested me was Klaus, and I don't intend to ever let that happen again. If your mother's trying to walk you off the ledge... she's gonna have to go through me."
Finn sighed, pulling me to my feet with him as he stood. I worried for a second, until his small smile reappeared and he met my eyes.
"Let's go home, then. For a week. Wherever 'home' is for you."
****************
I wasted absolutely no time loading Finn into my car and getting the hell out of town. It was going to be a lot of driving for one day, but it would be worth it. I had no intention of letting any of his family members get in my way. I'd never even had to unpack my bag.
As we left Mystic Falls behind us and pulled onto the highway, I put on my favorite playlist and shot Finn a grin.
"How much have your siblings caught you up on everything you missed over the last nine hundred years?" I asked. Finn frowned and shook his head.
"Very little. Do we really need to be going this fast?"
"Yes," I said, pointedly hitting the accelerator as I got up to speed with the rest of traffic. "Don't worry, I'm a fantastic driver. I promise it's normal and safe."
"Hm." Finn nodded, still looking a little unconvinced, so I reached over to take his hand.
"First lesson on the wonders of life, Finn: Road trips are the best. We've got about four hours to cruise, talk, listen to music, and stop for the most deliciously, bad-for-you food imaginable."
Finn huffed a small laugh. "I suppose that could be fun."
I grinned, cranking up the volume on the song playing, one of my favorites.
"I'll take it!"
****************
Slowly, over the course of the rest of the drive, Finn loosened up a little. He'd always been the most formal and reserved of his siblings, but when we were together, he'd always relaxed around me. This time, it took a little longer to get there, but around the second hour he started laughing at my stupid jokes and asking questions about things he saw that he found interesting. By the time I pulled up in front of my house a few hours later, he had a smile on his face and the tension had mostly eased out of his shoulders.
"How long have you lived here?" he asked, eyes surveying the house as I grabbed my unused bag out of the backseat.
"Oh, probably close to a decade. I've had the house for a lot longer than that, but I move in and out pretty regularly, since it would be obvious to my neighbors after a while that I'm not aging."
Finn nodded thoughtfully. "And does that ever bother you? The constant moving, the lying. The leaving."
"Sometimes," I said with a shrug. "But I like traveling and exploring the world. This way, I get to do that while also having a home to come back to after everything. It's more often than not been the best of both worlds for me."
"Hm. And do I need to be invited in?"
I grinned. "Nope! The house is mine. Unlike your siblings and quite a few other vampires, I haven't spent my eternity making enemies, so at least so far I haven't needed to keep other vampires out."
Finn chuckled, and the sound made a warm feeling grow in my chest. He looked happy, and seeing him glowing as he walked towards the front door of the place I called home was exactly the thing I'd been dreaming of for 900 years.
As if on-cue to interrupt my moment, my phone rang. I glanced at it to find Elijah's number staring back at me and huffed a sigh.
"Finn, would you mind taking my bag inside? I need to take this."
"Of course, my love." He gave me a soft smile as he took my bag, then headed for the front door. I watched him for an extra second, the fading light of twilight painting the world in a soft glow, then answered my phone with a sigh.
"What do you want, Elijah?" I said, not bothering with a hello. I turned my back to Finn and walked a few steps away, hoping he'd be too focused on the house to listen in on my conversation with his brother. I didn't want anything messing up our week away, especially not family drama.
"Where is Finn?" Elijah asked, his tone a bit demanding. I narrowed my eyes.
"Why do you need to know?"
"Because, as I remember mentioning to you, he's in the middle of trying to plot with our mother to kill all of us. I'd like to be aware of his location and progress for my own sake, and the sake of my family."
"Finn is family, and family you left rotting in a box for nine hundred years," I spat. I took a deep breath, getting my anger slightly more under control, then continued. "Finn is with me. I'm going to spend some time with my husband, thank you very much, and hopefully throughout the course of that I'm going to convince him it's worth telling your mother to go to hell to stay here with me. Our goals are aligned in keeping Finn from letting your mother destroy your entire family, Elijah, and that knowledge is just going to have to be good enough for you. We're supposed to be family, too, so you at least owe me that."
I hung up before Elijah could get another word in. I shoved my phone back into my pocket, then took a couple deep breaths before finally turning back around to head into the house. I was going to enjoy my week with Finn, and I was not going to let anyone get in our way.
I wandered inside to find Finn just sort of standing in the middle of the room, looking around. I showed him around and helped him get settled, and the two of us spent the night the same way we'd spent the drive, talking and telling stories and catching up after being apart.
We made dinner together, and I introduced Finn to the wonders of boxed mac 'n cheese before convincing him to sit down and watch my favorite Disney movie with me. It was late, so we went to bed right after the first one, but Finn seemed to enjoy it enough that he'd probably want to watch more after we got some rest.
For the first time in a long time, I drifted off with the comfort of Finn next to me, alive and well. I was determined to do whatever it took to avoid losing him ever, ever again.
****************
The next week felt like heaven on Earth. Finn and I quickly fell into a new, easy, happy routine together, exploring the place I'd called home for so long during the day (while also getting him more caught up on the modern world) and watching ridiculous movies on the couch together long into the night. I didn't want it to end, but I knew that if we disappeared for too long, Esther or one of her other kids would come looking for us. Finn and I needed to settle the issue once and for all, sooner rather than later.
But first, I had one last trick up my sleeve.
"So... we're supposed to go back to Mystic Falls in the morning," I said, leaning my elbows on the counter as I met Finn's eyes across the island. "But there's one more thing that I do as a regular part of my vampire life that I'm going to keep doing, no matter what. Fortunately for both of us, I think you might like it too."
Finn raised an eyebrow, and I gave him a soft smile before pushing off the island.
"Come on. Follow me."
He did, without hesitation. I tried to hide just how much that made me smile.
Finn and I walked from the house deeper into the downtown area, where people still walked back and forth despite the late hour. Finn carefully took in all our surroundings as I led him along, falling back into my normal routine.
As an immortal with superstrength, superspeed, and mind control, I was safe walking around at night basically no matter what. But also as a woman, I remembered plenty of times where I hadn't been safe. Or where I would've been in serious trouble if I hadn't had superpowers on my side. So, on a regular basis, and even more often when I started feeling down about being a vampire, I walked around at night acting as an avenging shadow, making sure any woman I came across got home safe. Crime rates tended to drop, at least for a little while, in whatever city I lived in and various muggers realized they had a real-life, superpowered Batman going after anybody trying to hurt people in the shadows.
I ducked into a dark alleyway, and Finn followed me, still looking curious. I smiled at him, then explained what I'd been doing for the past 900 years. As I spoke, a smile appeared on his face and steadily grew to a beaming pride I hadn't seen since our first few years together.
"That is... an excellent idea," he said, still looking at me like I'd hung the moon. I smiled back.
"Thank you. I've been back here long enough that I don't think we'll find too many things to put a stop to tonight, but... what do you say we look anyway?"
Finn nodded. "I'll follow you."
I took Finn's hand and pulled him along with me down the rest of the alleyway, ducking into the nearest bar on the other side. After grabbing a few drinks and compelling a few leering men to change their behavior, we popped back out onto the street to clear the next place.
Finn and I worked like a charm together, like we'd been working as a team for the last 900 years instead of just me by myself. Although the city was fairly safe, we still found plenty of ways to make an impact, and had a blast together going from place to place too. When we finally went back home around two in the morning, we were both laughing, and I swear Finn seemed lighter than he had all week.
"Well, that was my pitch," I said, flopping backwards into bed. Another perk of vampire speed was how quickly I could get ready for bed, especially when I was this tired. "I hope you liked it."
"I did. I liked it very much."
"I'm glad." Finn laid down next to me a beat later, and I rolled over to fix him with a smile. "So, how about it, Finn. I say we ditch your mom and the rest of your siblings, like I've been doing for centuries. Live our eternity together, doing good and just being happy. What do you say? Are you with me?"
Finn sighed, his gaze roving over every inch of my face. With every second the silence stretched my stomach churned, worried I'd failed, or that I should've waited until morning to ask, or a thousand different things I should've done differently. Finally, Finn's jaw clenched and he sighed through his nose before bringing his eyes to meet mine.
"I am with you. Always and forever."
I surged forward, rapidly closing the distance between us to wrap Finn in the tightest hug imaginable. After a second he wrapped his arms around me, too, holding me against his chest. I could hear his heartbeat, steadily reminding me he was here with me, and I absolutely never wanted to let go.
"I'll call my mother in the morning," he muttered into my hair, rubbing soothing circles on my back. "Tell her I'm not going to help her. There's too much worth living for, and plenty of ways to exist without being monsters."
"And I'll call Elijah. Tell him you're officially stepping back, and to keep the drama the hell out of our life together once and for all."
Finn chuckled, the sound vibrations rumbling through his chest. With Finn officially here to stay, with me, the way we should've been a long time ago, I felt more at peace than I had in a long, long time. And I was going to make sure nothing ruined that peace, ever again.

Hi can you do headcanons about yandere elijah mikaelson x fem human reader
AAAAAAAA!!! I'm so excited for this ask!! It's my very first HC request & I'm a little 😬 but I hope my particular brand of Yandere!Elijah is entertaining. Tbh, this'll help me brainstorm ideas for future Dawn Misplaced chapters...
[Yandere!Elijah Headcanons]
Tumblr media
⚜️ It was obsession at first defiance for him. Elijah Mikaelson, in his many years of being unchecked, has become accustomed to the word "yes" coming from human lips. Yes, sir. Yes, Mr. Mikaelson. Or "Yes, Daddy" to those girls he finds pleasing. But you said "no". You said "no" after all the trouble and headaches he endured in brokering a "fair deal" for your current predicament; being the sole inheritor of Father Kieran's seat in The Faction. Elijah was trying to spare you this precarious spot. It infuriates him that you won't give into his reasoning. He's just trying to protect you...
⚜️ Elijah Mikaelson is observant. He's kept a rather exhaustive record of his thoughts and feelings all throughout his cursed ordeal of being an "Original". But moreover, being the eldest brother to a family of siblings who do not listen. One night, while he's penning an entry in his records, his mind begins to drift. His hand moves with a will of it's own. Only after Elijah has gone through several pages does he realize that he's been writing about you. He's repulsed. How could you, the one snag in his carefully woven system, have snuck so imperceptibly into his mind?! He writes four more pages about you. Seemingly against his own will. Then, pours himself a scotch to quell a hunger that's starting to grow within him.
⚜️ Since you've decided to defy him and act as the human representative in The Faction, Elijah Mikaelson has decided to give you hell in the form of micromanaging your time. He requires emails, updates, documentation, & various forms of excruciating busy work that keeps you in very close proximity to him. His dark eyes always seem to be upon you while you're tending to the mountain of paperwork that he assigns you daily. And Elijah seethes with frustration as you rise to his challenge; completing his sisyphean tasks YOUR way. But still within his set requirements. Elijah is becoming more and more consumed by you with your every willful act. Meanwhile, the pages in his journal grows...
⚜️ Every seated member of The Faction has been thoroughly vetted by Elijah. But you...? He's been digging deep into your past before you inherited Kieran's position. What he's found (using various means of persuasion) has him intrigued, to say the least. You're the adopted offspring of an old, antiquated family that he (and his siblings) cavorted with during the 1700's and held considerable sway over the settlement before their arrival. Elijah knew that. But what has him curious is how little there is to say about you... There's almost no paper trail. Nothing substantial he can find about who you are. Your record, the little bits he can find, is almost too clean. It's a siren song to Elijah who prides himself on being informed. You've become an unsolved mystery that he's determined to crack. Even if he has to utilize extraordinary means to do so. After all, it's for the safety of his family... That's what he's telling himself, at least.
⚜️ To satiate his mounting need for answers and his hunger for you, he's decided to sit & watch your dreams. It's for work, of course!! How can he allow someone with such a void in their history to continue holding power in The Faction?? Much less someone who has evaded his inquiries and defied him in ways that irk him. It doesn't matter that you were handpicked by Kieran. To Elijah, you're a box left unchecked. And unchecked boxes have always been trouble in his experience.
⚜️ Elijah is, at first, annoyed to find that you're just as much a night creature as he is. An insomniac who stays up way too late reading, writing, documenting & researching as voraciously as he does. That makes his dream invasion plans hard at first. But Elijah is a patient man. And so, he waits. Poised in the shadows. Perched at your windowsill. Even standing in your room after he devised his invitation into your living space. And soon enough, the cracks in your defenses begin to show themselves. He takes full advantage of one night where exhaustion (he ran you into the ground on purpose with busy work) and a night with Cami at Rousseau's expose your mind to his vampiric dreamwalking. What he finds inside your mind seals his iron resolve to have you as HIS. Always and forever. Now, you cannot escape from Elijah even if you tried. And resigning from The Faction is no longer an option he'll extend to you...
You turned down his offer for peace, after all.
---
I shall leave it off at here for now. I hope this gives you plenty of juicy bits to dream with when you think of Yandere!Elijah! And I also hope I'll be asked again for more headcanon stuff or even questions about my WIP. ❤️
Much love to you, anon.

Wedding with Elijah

Elijah proposed to you on the rooftop of the Mikaelson compound, overlooking the stars and the beautiful view of the city lights
”In the thousand years that I have lived, I haven’t met anyone as wonderful and sweet and caring as you. I don’t to spend the rest of my immortality with someone that isn’t you.”
He was very hands on with all of the wedding planning
”Not now Nicklaus, Y/N and I need to go and check out the cake samples for the wedding.”
He will not rest until everything is perfect
You guys would be married at, of course, the Mikaelson compound
Klaus is Elijah’s best man while your maid of honor will either be Rebekah, Hayley or Freya
And Hope is the flower girl 🥺
A majority of New Orleans was invited, of course enemies are politely asked to leave upon entrance
When Elijah first saw you in your wedding gown when you were about to walk down the aisle, he couldn’t help the tear that slipped from his eyes
Because after everything he and his siblings has been through, he couldn’t believe that he found someone whom he could happily spend the rest of his life with
Of course, Klaus would forever tease Elijah for that moment while Rebekah always remarks that it’s romantic
Nothing went wrong with the reception and the after party
Elijah never let you out of his sight once you’ve gotten married
”You can’t blame me if I want to show off my darling wife.”
He dance with you all night long
Once the reception is over, Rebekah, Freya and Klaus would insist that you two go home
Elijah would immediately transport you to the hotel your staying in before heading to your honeymoon in France tomorrow

“Hello, my name is Mrs. L’urange and I’m the principal. You must be Sebastian’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mikaelson.”
“Yes, I’m Elijah and this is my wife, Y/N Mikaelson.”
“It’s nice to meet you both. I apologize that it’s under such circumstances.”
“And what would those be?”
“Your son, Sebastian, was caught in a fight with another child.”
Sebastian was sitting on the couch, in the other room, with a teacher while the principal spoke to his parents. Y/N watched her son and stood quietly, letting Elijah speak on her behalf.
“Really? That doesn’t sound like him. Why is he over there?” Y/N spoke up.
“I had asked him to wait for you while I spoke to you first.”
“Ok well he can come now.”
The principal simply smiled and nodded to the teacher. The woman said something to Sebastian then ushered the boy out of the room.
“Mom! Dad!” Sebastian practically jumped on his parents.
“Hi love. Are you alright?” Y/N leaned down to greet her son.
“Yeah but I want to tell you what happened.”
“Oh there’s no need for that, I already did.” The principal interjected.
“But that’s-”
Mrs. L’urange didn’t let him finish his sentence. “I have the complaint form filled out already. Your signatures will be needed below.”
“Actually I want to hear what my son has to say.” Elijah said, smiling at the woman. He knew exactly what he was doing because she agreed even though it was a bit reluctant.
“Well I was playing at the swings and this boy came over. He wanted a turn but I wasn’t done yet. I told him he can have a different swing but he refused and pushed me.”
“And what happened?” Y/N asked.
“I said ‘that wasn’t very nice’ and reached for the swing. He pulled it to him and hit me in the face with the seat so I punched him. He started bleeding and cried. My teacher said I needed to go to the office.”
Y/N looked up at her husband then the principal. She stood up, walked forward to the desk and grabbed the form.
“Why does this say my son is suspended and the child is reprimanded?”
“Your son started a fight.” Mrs. L’urange replied.
“I wouldn’t call a punch a fight. And he wouldn’t have needed to punch him had the boy gone to play on a different swing.” Y/N placed her hands on her hips, glaring at the woman.
“No child is allowed to hit another.”
“Good then this boy should be suspended as well.” Y/N retorted.
“That’s not how it works ma’am.”
“Do not ma’am me.” Y/N turned to her son “Honey, who is this boy?”
“Kaden. He’s in my homeroom.” Sebastian smiled at his mother.
He knew she would stand up for him to anyone, no matter what. Before Y/N could say something that couldn’t be taken back, Elijah stepped forward and gently caressed her back. He knew his wife was unstoppable when it came to their children and he’d never hold her back, if anything he’d cheer but not now. Arguing back and forth wasn’t going to change anything.
“Darling, let me. Take Seb outside and wait please?” Elijah asked her, still soothing her back.
“Okay but he’s not being suspended for this. Not if I have anything to say about it.”
“Yes darling.” Elijah kissed his wife’s forehead as he handed her the car keys.
Once Y/N and Sebastian were out of the office, past the secretary’s front desk, and outside of the building, Elijah turned to the teacher and the principal. They didn’t know what they were in for but judging from the look in his eyes, they had no chance of winning this.
Minutes later Elijah walks out with a smile and is greeted by his wife and siblings. Y/N and Elijah were out when they received the phone call from the school, his siblings had asked to be kept in the loop. Y/N had just finished informing them of what happened.
“Well? What did she say?” His sister, Rebekah, spoke first.
“Hello sister. She didn’t say much but she said she’ll let it go.” Elijah sent Y/N a smile.
“Good because the board would’ve heard from me.”
“I’m sure they would.” Elijah knew his wife too well.
“Well since we’re here, let’s get Ellie too.”
“We’ll go get her.” Rebekah volunteered and sped into the building before Elijah or Y/N could say anything. Niklaus shrugged and followed his sister.
They walked to the front desk and was met with an elderly woman, she seemed almost in her early 60s. The woman didn’t lift her eyes, only reached for the telephone next to her and waited. Rebekah and Niklaus watched her. Neither said a word until she looked up at them through her glasses.
“You’re here for someone I assume. Who is it and are you the parent?” Her voice didn’t even match her face. It sounded much younger than one would think.
“Yes, we’re here for Madeliné Mikaelson.” Rebekah replied with a smile.
“Are you the parent?”
“No, I’m her aunt.”
“Are you on the contact list?”
“I don’t know. Maybe.”
The woman took her time to search through a book then searched on the computer.
Niklaus whispered to Rebekah, “I could’ve quickly taken her by now and we’d be gone.”
“We’re not kidnapping our niece Nik!”
Finally the woman spoke again. “What is your reasoning for the early dismissal?”
“Because I bloody can.” Rebekah was irritated by this point.
After ten excruciatingly long minutes, Madeliné was escorted with a teacher to the office. The moment she saw her aunt, she ran away from her teacher towards her.
“Auntie Bex! Uncle Nikky!” Madeliné shouted.
“My sweet girl!” Rebekah lowered herself down to wrap her niece in a bear hug.
“There’s my girl.” Niklaus was next to hug her then he lifted her into his arms.
Madeliné had always liked the nickname Ellie because it was similar to her father’s name, Elijah. It was easy to see that she was her father’s little princess. Once they were all outside, she smiled widely when she saw her mother. Niklaus gently put her down and she ran over, Y/N opened her arms wide, showering her daughter with kisses as she giggled.
“Where’s daddy?” before Y/N can answer, she hears a response.
Elijah called out “Princess?” and popped up from the other side of the car. Y/N handed her daughter over and Elijah smiled down at his little girl.
“Can I ride home with Auntie Bex and Uncle Nikky?” asked Madeliné.
“If they’re alright with it, why not?” Elijah replied as he looked at his siblings.
“Of course darling!” Rebekah quickly replied with a smile.
“Me too! Don’t leave me!” A voice spoke out from the car, it was Sebastian.
“Seb? Why are you here?” Madeliné asked.
“I punch-” he stopped himself as he looked at his parents then whispered to his sister “I’ll tell you later.”
Elijah chuckled and Y/N told Rebekah and Niklaus that they were going to pick up their youngest. So they split up, Rebekah and Klaus head home and Elijah and Y/N go to the daycare.
“Ok they’re gone, now tell me.” Madeliné urged her brother.
“Well I punched Kaden because he hit me with the swing seat.”
“Oh no! What happened?”
“I feel bad because he was bleeding but he cried like a little girl so that was funny.”
“Seb! We don’t hit anyone, mom and dad will be mad.” Madeliné warned her brother.
“Only because Mrs. Orange told mom and dad but dad spoke to her.
“Mrs. L’urange?” Madeliné asked.
“Yeah, that’s what I said, Mrs. Orange.” Sebastian smiled.
“Did you start the fight?” Rebekah asked her nephew.
“No, I was swinging by myself.”
“Well then you stood up for yourself and I’m proud.” Niklaus smiled, looking at his nephew through the rearview mirror.
“Really Uncle Nik? Dad seemed sad.”
“Yes really. Ah he’ll get over it, there’s time for words and time for action.”
“Don’t teach the children violence!” Rebekah lightly hits her brother’s arm.
“It’s not, I’m just proud of him. He’s now a real Mikaelson.”
“Am I a Mikaelson Uncle Nikky?” Madeliné wonders out loud.
“Of course sweetheart, you’re my favorite niece.”
“Silly, I’m your only niece!” Madeliné laughs at her uncle but is happy with the reassurance.
“Can we get ice cream?” Sebastian chimes in.
“You haven’t had your meal yet. You know it’s only after dinner.” Rebekah reminds him.
“But it’s just a snack. I won’t tell mom or dad, promise!”
“Sebastian-” Rebekah starts.
“Or I’ll tell dad Uncle Nik told us to fight others.” Sebastian innocently smiles at his aunt.
Niklaus laughs at his little nephew. “My My aren’t you an extortionist. And that’s not even what I said.”
“Yeah yeah. Potato potato, tomato tomato.”
“So do we have a deal? Ice cream for our silence?” Madeliné chimes in to support her brother.
“You are Mikaelsons.” Niklaus smirks and nods his head. He makes a different turn, away from home, and drives towards the nearest ice cream place. Rebekah tuts but hides her smile.

Elijah and Y/N made it to the daycare in peaceful silence. Y/N is thinking of how to approach her kids on the topic of standing their ground and self defense. Elijah is mentally applauding himself for his son’s courage.
“We need to talk to him. I’m glad he stood up for himself but I don’t want it to become an issue.” Y/N speaks into the silence.
“We will darling. I highly doubt it would become a repeating offense.”
“I hope not.”
“It sounds like he had a fantastic swing.” Elijah smirks.
“Eli!”
“The child cried apparently.”
“Yes because his nose is possibly broken and he bled!”
“Darling I do not condone violence but I am proud of him. I know secretly you are too.” Elijah reaches for his wife’s hand and kisses the back of it.
Y/N kept her gaze forward in order to hide her smile from him. He lets her hand go and gets out of the car then walks around to her side and opens the passenger door. Holding out his hand for her. She gladly takes it, leans forward to press a soft kiss on his cheek.
“I am proud.” Is all she says before walking towards the front doors of the daycare building.
In no time at all, they find their child’s room. It was two hours past lunchtime so all the toddlers were down for their naps. Y/N heads to the cubicles, cubbies, and starts gathering her son’s items. Elijah walks into the room to pick up their son.
“Oh hello! You’re so early today!” Miss Heather, their son’s main teacher, greeted him.
“Yes, I apologize. Is it not allowed?”
“Of course! I’m so sorry, I just meant that I’m surprised.”
Elijah simply smiled at her then looked past her shoulder at the rows of cribs with sleeping toddlers.
“Theo had a bit of a rough morning.” A voice spoke from behind him.
Theodore was the youngest Mikaelson. Y/N and Elijah had given their children French royalty names. It was a mixture of Elijah loving that time period and also Y/N’s obsession with royals.
“Why? What’s wrong?” Y/N had grabbed all of Theo’s things and was standing by the door when she overhead.
“He had a bit of a fever around 9 this morning though he ate all his breakfast. He didn’t play as he usually does, I read him several books while we rocked on the chair. He had a few bites of his lunch but didn’t finish and he didn’t want snacks.”
“Did you give him anything for the fever?” Elijah asked, he had somehow walked across the entire room and was now standing next to Theo’s crib.
“No, I didn’t think I was allowed to. I used a cold damp towel on his forehead and placed it on his back as well. His temperature dropped within a few minutes.”
“Did he cry or anything?” Y/N was looking at her sleeping child from the other side of the room.
“No, he actually fell asleep quickly. We moved his crib closer to the back because it’s cooler but added one extra blanket.”
“And who are you?” Elijah tore his gaze from Theo to face the young woman.
“I’m sorry, I’m Millie. I’m a teacher in training so I help out here and do whatever Miss Heather asks.” Millie introduced herself.
Y/N couldn’t help but notice that the girl kept staring at Elijah the entire time. She didn’t turn around once, not even when Y/N had asked her questions directly.
Elijah reached down and picked Theodore from his crib, he placed the blankets back down on the bed. Y/N reached into the bag in search of a light blanket and found one. The room was cool and it was a bit chilly outside. Once Elijah reached her, she threw the blanket over him and covered both of them.
“Is everything alright?” Miss Heather asked.
“Yes, why?” Elijah responded.
“Normally only one of you picks him up. Today you both did and it’s earlier than usual.”
“We just wanted to pick him up early today.”
Y/N walked out of the room first then Elijah followed behind with Theo laid over his shoulder. They walked down the hallway quietly until they reached outside. Once Theo was in his car seat and his bag was in the car, Y/N remembered something. She had forgotten to sign the papers. Whenever a parent picked up their child, they had to sign the time and day as they would in the morning when they dropped off.
Elijah told her it was alright, he’d return inside to do it. He briskly walked back and right before he entered the room, he heard them. There were sounds of different women speaking, it sounded like Miss Heather and Millie but also others. They were speaking about him.
“Oh. My. Goodness. Did y’all see him? That suit?!”
“How does she only have three children with him? If it were me, we’d be on baby number 10!”
“I ain’t never been jealous of any woman but his wife is so blessed.”
“What I’d give to switch lives with her for a day!”
“A day?? He seems like he knows what to do. Didn’t y’all see his arms? I need 10 minutes only.”
“Ugh, he’s such a dilf.”
It took Elijah only minutes to fully understand what they were speaking of. If only they knew, he had four children but they were partly right, he’d love to have more with Y/N. He couldn’t help smirking to himself, something about the way these women spoke of him excited him. To their dismay, all he could think about was his wife.
He couldn’t wait to tell her because he knew her reaction. He knew that she’d say something that bordered near jealousy but that wouldn’t faze him. Oh hell no. If anything, it’d turn him on even more. Y/N being jealous is one of the sexiest things he loved, there were more things but this was the lesser of the provocative ones. Gathering himself and wiping that smile off his face, he walked forward and opened the door.
“I’m sorry. My wife reminded me that we forgot to sign.”
“Oh yes! Let me go get the book.” Miss Heather quickly got up from her seat.
There were five women in the room, 3 new faces he didn’t know. They were all sat in a circle, their conversation had grown quiet. The teacher returned with the book and placed it on the desk. Elijah searched for a pen from the inside of his suit, purposely moving slowly because he was aware of their eyes on him. He found it, pulled it out slowly then clicked the top of it, stretching his fingers a bit in the process. With so much grace, he signed quickly and closed the book. The pen returned to its place in his jacket and he said his goodbyes.
The women waited until they no longer could hear the sound of his footsteps and started their gossip anew. Elijah simply smirked like a giddy child impatient to tell his wife. Her jealousy meant she’d be dominant and he submissive, he’d never publicly admit it because only she knew of his willingness.
Once he got to the car, he couldn’t shake off what one woman said. He turned to Y/N and prepared himself.
“Can I ask you something?” He started.
“Is everything ok?” Y/N was calm but he could sense her slightly worrying.
“Yes, I just heard something and wanted to ask you about it.”
“Alright, what is it?”
“What is a dilf?”
Y/N’s eyebrows furrowed then a gigantic smile wormed it’s way onto her face. In a mere matter of seconds, she broke out into fits of giggles. Elijah was completely confused. Did the women call him something rude and offensive? If so, why would his wife laugh? Of course he hadn’t told her where he heard the word or from whom but still.
Elijah cleared his throat and looked at Y/N. “What is it?”
Y/N tried her absolute best to control herself but she simply couldn’t. She wasn’t even able to let out any words that were comprehensible.
“Who-” She laughed “Wh-where did y-you hear…?”
“The daycare women. Is it bad?”
The thing that was making her laugh uncontrollably was his cluelessness. It made him seem so purely innocent.
Y/N placed a hand over her chest in hopes to stop herself then spoke slowly to pace her words otherwise she’d laugh all over again. “A dilf is like a milf.”
Elijah blinked at her. Y/N softly smiled and reached for his hand, which he let her so she kissed his finger and quickly licked it before he could even react. The mood in the car was slowly shifting from an innocent fun one to a playful one.
“Dilf stands for dad I’d like to fuck. Some women call their husbands, daddy and not in the childlike way.” Y/N looked up at her husband in a way only he understood.
Elijah’s eyes grew wide and he coughed. Holy shit, had those women been thinking of more than sex with him? The thought of it didn’t appeal to him at all but knowing that his wife saw him as a dilf gave him ideas.
He cocked his head to the side and asked her, “Is that how you see me, as a dilf?”
“I’m surprised you didn’t know this already.”
“I don’t know how I didn’t either. We’ll have to change that.”
“Oh darling I can’t wait.” Y/N bit her lip and smiled to herself.
Thank goodness his siblings had taken their other children out for ice cream, Rebekah had informed him. He had about an hour with Y/N without worrying about traumatizing his children or being taunted by his siblings. They rarely ever had daytime sex so during the drive home, he was going to let his mind wonder on all the possibilities.

hello, can you make the poly yandere family? Mikaelson (Klaus, Elijah, Kol, Rebekah, Freya, Finn) with a reader who is pregnant with Klaus's daughter Hope (the reader is his biological mother)
Unplanned pregnancy
Soft!mikaelson siblings x reader
A/n: so this isn't really yandere it's was more fluff than anything.
Warnings: none (I think)
┈┈┈┈․° ☣ °․┈┈┈┈
When you first found out you were pregnant you were astonished. Honestly you didn't think you'd be able to. Well with you dating vamps and all. Anyway to say you were shocked was an understatement. It started with a fun night with one of your lovers and the next thing you know your sitting over the toilet puking your guts out. It didn't take a rocket scientist to know that you were pregnant. You still took eight pregnancy tests to be sure, and every single last one of them were positive. So then there was the part of telling your very overprotective lovers. Safe to say you didn't know whoms it was but you doubted that they'd care. The little bit of freedom you had flew out the window when you told them you were pregnant though. Klaus and Elijah forbade you from leaving the house for anything other than checkups and even then at least three of them had to be with you. Anyone that looked at you the wrong way ended up dead. Freya out over a million protection enchantnents on you, Rebekah and Elijah were always around you and catered to your every need, Finn gave you back and foot massages, Klaus made sure you got eight hours of sleep and never missed a meal, Kol.....was the one killing anyone you dared look at you. Yeah safe to say that you were the most protected witch in the quarter. You were around six months when Klaus and Rebekah surprised you with the nursery fully decorated and the walls painted. Safe to say that you cried. You also made Klaus make two stitch paintings one for you and the baby. Eight months you and your partners were arguing about the names. "No kol we aren't naming my child Francesca Mikaelson!" "Klaus our kid isn't going to be named Sybil. A siren with that same name almost killed me." "Y/n her name isn't going to be Katherine" yeah none if you decided on name. When you went into labor you crushed all if the bones in Klaus and Elijah's hands. "Klaus I'm never having sex with you again you Asshole." You yelled. "Now love let's not get hasty." Said male says. After 10 hours of insults, pushing, cursing, blood, sweat, and tears came Hope Andrea Mikaelson. "She's beautiful." Was all any of them could say. Safe to say you got pregnant again when Hope was three by Elijah and Finn. Fraternal twins, Elijah's son was named Enzo after your best friend and Finn's daughter was named Emillia after your sister.

It is 3AM and my sleep was disrupted, so I naturally decided to check Tumblr and now I'm teary-eyed over the Mikaelsons
Is it normal to think this much and feel this strongly about fictional people?
I don't know, man, but it's not going to stop anytime soon and I'm okay with that because I love my fictional people ✨

Freya: We need to distract these guys Elijah: Leave it to me Elijah: Centaurs have six limbs and are therefore insects. Discuss. Klaus, Kol, and Rebekah: *Immediately begin arguing* Finn, watching in horror: Oh this. I don’t like this. I don't like this at all.

I was going to kill Klaus Mikaelson.
Unlike the other thousand people who'd probably had that thought in the last week alone, however, mine was actually justified. For hundreds of years, Nik and I had been together, happy, and in love. We'd wandered the world together, side by side, having each other's backs through thick and thin. Out of everyone in the entire world, I was the only one he'd always trusted, completely, without a doubt in mind.
And then Mikael had shown up one time too many.
Nik and I had faced him a few times, and he had firmly held the spot of 'my least favorite Original' for literal centuries. We'd always come out shaken, but fine, until about a hundred and fifty years ago. That time, he'd gotten Nik cornered, so I'd jumped in to save him. Mikael had almost killed me instead.
We'd managed to both make it out alive, thankfully, but Nik had been foaming at the mouth with nerves and fear. I'd tried to calm him down, but it hadn't worked. He'd gotten too scared, so for the first time in our entire relationship, he broke my trust. He compelled me to forget him, and to go somewhere else, far away, where I'd never be put in danger by him and his family again.
It had worked, unfortunately for me. Until recently, when something had happened to break the compulsion and bring my memories back. At first, I'd been terrified that it meant Nik had died. But, after a little investigating and compelling of my own, I realized he'd been body-hopping with the help of witches. Something about it must've shaken his compulsion loose, and allowed me to remember.
It hadn't taken me long to track him down to Mystic Falls, Virginia. I couldn't help being a little proud of myself for finding him so quickly; it helped that I knew him well. I'd arrived in Virginia last night, and managed to track down Nik's exact location and hiding place just as quickly. He'd apparently taken over the body of a history teacher at the local high school. Who would I have been to miss that opportunity?
With a little more compulsion, I'd convinced the front office staff to let me into the teacher's history class. I found a seat to one side of the classroom, then settled in to wait for Nik to show up. I almost blew my cover when, a moment later, the spitting image of Katherine Pierce walked through the door.
I knew he'd come to town for the doppelgänger, but it was still surprising to see someone who looked just like Katherine. Apparently, that lie we'd planted about the Curse of the Sun and the Moon had been working out pretty well. She sat on the other side of the room from me, flirting with another vampire and sitting with her witch friend. I sighed, already ready to leave the classroom, when Nik finally walked in.
The teacher, Alaric Saltzman, was tall, with brown hair, and dressed in something I could almost see Nik wearing normally. He strode through the open door with a "hello class" and went right to his desk like it was any other day. I snorted.
"What... are we learning today?" he mused, flipping through his history book. He hadn't looked up once; hadn't had a chance to see me yet.
"With the decade dance tonight we've been covering the sixties all week," a girl in the front chimed in. Nik looked up.
"Right. The sixties."
For the first time, he turned, and I thought his eyes might finally find me. Instead, they found the doppelgänger—Elena—like a heat-seeking missile.
Understandable, since we didn't think she existed. But still annoying.
He glanced from her to the open classroom door, then turned to the board. I huffed a sigh and rolled my eyes. What was he gonna do, just grab her and run? Much too obvious for his style, and we both knew it.
"The uh... the sixties," he started, mentioning the decade for the third time now as he turned around to write the same words on the board. "...I wish there was something good I could say about the sixties."
I covered a snort with my elbow. I almost raised my hand to say something like "Maybe they would've been better if you'd still had me with you", but that was also too sloppy for my style. Too many students asking questions, seeing me, and too many enemies possibly getting hints about Nik.
"They actually kind of sucked," Nik continued. "Except for the Beatles, of course, they made it bearable."
His eyes strayed to Elena's witch friend, and my heart squeezed in my chest. Nik was recounting memories that didn't include me, when I should've appeared in almost all of them. The hurt was only semi-manageable because I wasn't looking at the love of my life's face while hearing this, too.
"Uh, what else was there? The Cuban Missile... thing. The uh... we walked on the moon, that was, uh... Watergate."
"Watergate was the seventies, Ric," Elena chimed in with a fond smile. "Uh, I mean, Mr. Saltzman."
"Right," Nik continued, a familiar edge to an unfamiliar smile. His eyes never strayed from Elena. "It all kind of... mushes together up here. Sixties, seventies. Thank you, Elena."
I watched him teach the rest of the class in a way that could only be described as 'playing with his food'. He said Elena's name another time or two, savoring it in a way I recognized as him relishing in victory. I was happy to see him happy, but the added side effect of him being so wrapped up in doppelgänger nonsense meant that he still hadn't noticed me.
I tried not to let it get to me. Especially since it had given me the best opening I could've asked for to scare the daylights out of Nik and get just a little bit of payback.
Once the bell rang, I stood and hovered at the edge of the classroom. Nik dismissed everyone and said goodbye to the class, saying a special, specific goodbye to Elena and watching her leave. It wouldn't have been terribly obvious to anyone with no reason to suspect 'Alaric' was not who he said he was, but it was ridiculous to me.
Nik moved to the door to look out into the hallway as the classroom emptied of every single student except for me. He watched Elena go, his back to what he thought was an empty classroom, giving me exactly the opening I wanted. I crossed the room quickly but quietly, using all of my vampire skills to keep him from noticing me until I was right next to him, almost shoulder to shoulder.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," I said, right into Nik's ear. He'd jumped and spun around at the first word, but now stood frozen, his mouth open in shock as he stared at me. I grinned. "You know, whatever you were planning to do to the doppelgänger. At school. In a human body. While she's surrounded by supernaturals. That's just a bad idea."
"Y/N..." he breathed, voice barely above a whisper. Then, he surged forward, wrapping me tight in his arms and spinning me around in a hug. He moved backwards into the classroom, and I slammed the door with my heel just to avoid any prying eyes.
Nik finally pulled back, eyes wide and a vague smile on his face, like he was happy but didn't actually believe this was real. I smiled back at him, even though he didn't quite look like my Nik, and gave his hands a reassuring squeeze.
"How... how is this possible?" he asked, his voice still quiet, like any loud noise might shatter the moment. "How are you here?"
"I still don't totally know. But I think, when you moved into this... teacher body... it was enough for your compulsion on me to break."
Nik's face fell immediately, as it should have. I frowned, the immediate happiness of finding Nik having worn off.
"I can't believe you did that to me, Nik," I said, taking a step back from him. "It was supposed to be the two of us, through everything. Against everything. No matter what. How could you betray that?"
He gave a frown of pain, taking a half step towards me before thinking better of it.
"You don't understand. My... Mikael... almost killed you. If I'd been the cause of your death-"
"Okay, first of all, you would never be the cause of my death. You know how I know? Because you would never kill me." I stared at Nik long and hard, and although he looked away from my gaze quickly, I never did. "Second, the only person who would've been the cause of my death was Mikael. You are not responsible for a bad person trying to kill me."
"Unless that bad person is trying to kill you to get to me." He said it quietly but firmly, looking up at me with a rueful smile from lowered lashes, like he'd just said some checkmate truth we'd both been avoiding. I put a hand on my hip and glared.
"Actually Nik, no, it's still not your fault. It's the bad person's fault. That's it. And before you start telling me it's your fault for dragging me into it or whatever, I could've left. I didn't want to, and I still don't want to. I've seen every level of crazy your life has to offer, and I'm signing up for all of it.
"And Nik, before you try to tell me how much you'd miss me if you lost me, you did lose me! By letting fear drive you to compel me out of your life. And I also lost you. I guess I've been generally content for the past hundred and fifty years, but I've never been totally satisfied. Because something is missing. I've known total and complete happiness, and it's whenever I'm with you. This immortal life isn't worth living without you, Nik. Don't try to tell me it is."
He stared at me for a few long moments, then pulled me to him again. Unlike the first hug, this time our feet stayed planted firmly on the ground, wrapped tight in the strong hold of each other's embrace. I sighed as Nik rested his head against mine, moving his mouth right next to my ear.
"I'm... I'm sorry, Y/N. I shouldn't have done that to you. I was just... terrified at the thought of losing you."
"I know. But Nik, we're nothing if we're not together. I need you to promise me you won't do that again. The two of us, side by side, for eternity. That's it, alright?"
He pulled away, hands holding my arms tight as he stared me straight in the eye.
"I give you my word."
Slowly, a smile spread across my face, a new warmth growing in my chest. Not once, in hundreds of years, had Nik ever broken his word to me. We were going to be okay.
He grinned back at me once he noticed my smile, then leaned in to kiss me. I stopped him, jerking back a bit, and he gave me a concerned look.
"I love you, and I am so happy to see you again, but I'm not kissing you until you're back in your own body. I have no interest in kissing this rando you've possessed."
Nik grinned, and although it wasn't his body or his smile, I swear it looked exactly like it was supposed to.
"Fair enough. I don't think I want you kissing this 'rando' either. What do you say we get out of here, and do what needs to be done so I can get back into my body, break my curse, and kiss you properly?"
"...Not in that order, right?"
"No, not in that order."
"Then deal."
Nik smiled and took my hand, giving it a gentle squeeze as we headed towards the door together. I had no idea what the next part of his plan was, but once I was caught up to speed, I knew we'd be putting it into action shoulder to shoulder again, and all would be right with the world.
"You know, you're a shit teacher," I mused as we headed off into the high school together. Nik shot me a look as he kept leading me towards whatever destination he had in mind.
"Do you remember much interesting information to teach children about the sixties?"
I shrugged. "No. But I could probably fake it better than you. Watergate."
"I was in Australia, Watergate was a low priority."
"I was in Greenland, so... checkmate."
He just shook his head, a smile finding its way onto his face all the same. I was the only one in the world Nik trusted endlessly, the only one who could find him in a matter of days no matter where he was in the world, and the only one who could get away with giving him shit with absolutely no repercussions. And now that I had him and my memories back, I was never letting him go.
