More General Rangers Headcanons

Sixth Rangers are inherently more powerful than the regular Rangers. You'll notice that most can 1v1 difficult enemies that prove challenging to even the Reds of the team (ie.: Zhane (In Space Silver) 1v1'ing Ecliptor). This is because, on a power scale, the Sixth is supposed to balance the team out. A team that can work as individuals and an individual that can work on/with a team

Reds develop an attachment to their Sixth Rangers, be it romantic (Carter Grayson/Ryan Mitchell) or platonic (Leo and Mike Corbett), but it's close and quickly formed

Similarly, Sixth Rangers form quick and close attachments to their Reds, platonic or romantic

Pinks and Blues are either siblings or best friends and there is no in-between

Survivor's Guilt is a powerful force and 90% of the Rangers have it, especially the alien Rangers or those like the Lunar Wolf Wildforce Ranger

Rangers getting discouraged and believing themselves unworthy of the Power is also common, so there's a network of Rangers you can call to help with that kind of stuff

If you don't already have fantastic spatial awareness, you develop it pretty quick as a Ranger. It's damn near impossible not to because of all the attacks by Monsters, Bugs, etc

Red Rangers can give orders to their teams and the Power will give little pushes for the other Rangers to following it, but that doesn't mean the other Rangers can't refuse of their own volition

The Morphin' Grid affords its Rangers a form of immortality. They can be fatally injured, but otherwise, Rangers are effectively immortal

Some Rangers go on to become police officers, but most Rangers agree that working to assist and help people (ie.: lifeguards, doctors, breaking ground in the science fields) is best. Some of them establish dojos to train people to protect themselves (Tommy Oliver) and others work with volunteer efforts (Troy Burrows)

Veteran Rangers, Reds especially, tend to hang back during crossover events- this is to give the new Reds the confidence in themselves and their abilities, and allow them to grow into their leadership. The only exception was Forever Red, because Jason is a little bit of a control freak. He's the oldest Red, it's his right

When a Ranger is in a battle that forces them into demorph (i.e.: Gia, Jake, and Noah (Megaforce) against Creepox) the other teammates will be supremely worried and clingy, this is because of a trauma bond each team shares, but also because seeing someone you love get so hurt in a battle that they lose their ability to hold their morphs is fucking terrifying.

On that note, other Ranger teams will check in after those battles because seeing your successors get demorphed in the middle of battle is also something terrifying

Also on that note, some Rangers have specific nightmares in which they don't make it out of those demorph fights alive

The TMNT do on occasion pop out of the New York sewers to assist in a battle or two with the Ranger teams

Rangers who have martial arts skills (Ninja Storm, Jungle Fury, Samurai, Ninja Steel, etc) stick together, much like Rangers who are from or went to space

The techs of the teams have secret channels that they use to make "communication devices" (cell phones) so that Rangers don't have to rely on their morphers to communicate as well as being able to communicate with other Rangers and teams

Bulk and Skull have been linked so tightly with the Rangers that they've been kidnapped several times, only to be let go when it's been clear they aren't Rangers themselves

Junior Rangers have a chat, kids that helped Rangers (Heather, Jordon, etc.) have linked up and compared notes. They know of or know each other and most of them are tightly linked together

Mighty Warriors Comfort their S/O After a Hard Day

Ice

Honestly I see Ice being very gentle with his s/o

I think he would want you to just relax, and he would take care of everything else for you

Whatever you wanted, hes on it

Food, drinks, cuddles, whatever it is, he wants to do it for you

He wouldn’t exactly have the Funk Jungle shut down for the night, just in case you want to go and have some fun there

But if you ask him to stay with you instead, he’s next to you in milliseconds

He would tell the others that he is staying with you for the night, and that they were on their own for the night

He says it with a gentle voice, but his eyes are saying “if you disturb me and my s/o ill rip your head off”

Just wants you to feel better

Theres nothing he hates more than seeing you upset

Wishes he could go beat up whoever gave you such a hard time, but he knows that you need him more

Turns into a professional chef

Like if you let him, he’ll have a three course meal, plus extra snacks and drinks prepared

And its all actually really good too

Honestly Ice is so good at taking care of you, you won’t even remember why you’re upset by the end of the night

Jesse

As soon as this man hears you’ve had a bad day he’s ready to fight whoever upset you

Like who had the audacity to mess with my s/o and think they’ll get away with it

Honestly his s/o might have to stop him from walking out the door and hunting them down

He just hates seeing you upset, and needs some sort of anger release

However he’s gonna have to find that at a different time, and he knows that, and he knows that all you need in the moment is him

That whole night, he refuses to let anyone near you, like genuinely gatekeeping you from the world

It might seem possessive, but in reality he just wants you to know that he’s there to protect and comfort you

I don’t see him as being the best with words, so he shows you this through actions like this

He might try to cook for you, but it might be a better idea to order food instead…

He just needs to know that you’re okay but he’s not the best with his words so he’s running around getting you anything and everything you could possibly want

I’m Reality all you want is him, but it’s cute the way he takes care of you hehehe :)

Pearl

Pearl typically is joking around with you

Everyone knows he’s the guy to keep spirits up in Mighty Warriors

So when he sees you upset, he doesn’t know what to do at first

He’ll hesitantly walk to you and wrap his arms around you

Naturally he’s gonna wanna say something funny, but he wants to be there for you, so he just lets you cry on his shoulder staying silent

I don’t see him as the kind to really rush around to take care of you

I see him as the kind to stay with you, by your side the entire time until he knows you’re better

Of course, if you ask for something, he’s immediately up and getting you whatever you need

But he’s glued to your side, arms around you, simply holding you close, letting you do whatever you need to keep from bottling up emotions

After a while of just embracing you he’s gonna start to make jokes

He just wants to see you smile, it’s his most favorite thing in the world

His way of taking care of you is taking you away from masses of people, and enjoying time together

It’s not often that the two of you get time away from Mighty Warriors, but in moments like this, he won’t let anyone disturb your peace

Honestly, seeing you upset might be one of the only things that frightens him, but he’s great at bringing a smile back to your beautiful face <3

Valentine’s Day Lineup: 2/11

First Kiss (Jesse x Reader)

The beat of the music and the clamor of the people felt distant from the two of you. The dimly lit hallway at the back of the club temporarily sheltered you and Jesse from the energy and vigor of the night. You leaned back against the wall, unable to keep a smile from slipping onto your face. His eyes fell down to your lips for only a moment before he was holding your gaze once more, and he smiled too. Your bodies were close, just a breath away, but he made sure never to close it. It was like he was afraid of scaring you away.

“Why’re you smiling?” He asked.

You shrugged lightly, not willing to hide the way the giddy showed on your face. You and Jesse had only met several months ago. You saw him often on account of Mighty Warriors, always some group parties or outings at Funk Jungle. Slowly, the two of you had begun sneaking off during these group nights, seeking any sort of alone that the two of you could get without making it too obvious to the other. Tonight, though, you were feeling bold. “I’m just thinking about this guy,” you responded coyly.

Jesse decided to play along, clear to your ploy but always one for a little game. “That so? And he’s got you smiling like that?”

“I was just thinking, he’s not so bad,” you bit your bottom lip and feigned concern. “Actually, I might even kind of like him.”

“Like him, huh?” Jesse nodded. His eyes flickered to your lips again. You could practically feel him itching to close the distance between the two of you, but he held strong. “Does he know?”

“I’m starting to think he doesn’t feel the same way.”

Jesse’s eyes darted back up to yours, his expression replaced with something serious and dire. “What makes you say that?”

Your own smile fell, equally serious. “Well, I keep wondering when he’ll finally kiss me, and he just doesn’t.”

“Maybe he’s afraid of what’ll happen if he does.”

“I’ve never known this man to be afraid of anything,” you countered.

“Maybe he’s afraid of running you off.” Jesse held your eyes intensely with his own. You could tell exactly what he was saying without him having to say it. He wanted to be sure you were serious in your intentions, because he was not the type of man to step away from something, or someone, so easily once dedicating himself to it.

You nodded, slowly but surely, showing him that you, too, were completely resolved in this. “I won’t,” you assured him.

In the next moment, Jesse’s hand was at the back of your neck and his lips were on yours, that distance between your bodies that once felt so infinite now closed, and you could feel the rapid beating of his heart against your own. You responded by wrapping your arms around his shoulders, tilting your head to deepen a kiss that you didn’t feel you could ever get your fill of. His other hand dropped to your waist, his thumb caressing you softly, starkly contrasted in comparison to the intense control his lips had over your own. But that’s just how Jesse was; he was someone who could not be pinned down as one thing or the other, could not be numbered or fixed to any degree. Not that you could complain, though. At least, not when he was kissing you the way he was.

Hello, trait chart for the different Ranger colors idea:

Red - Passion

Blue - Security

Yellow - Positivity

Green - Growth

Orange - Energy

Purple - Imagination

Pink - Intuition

Silver - Balance

Gold - Compassion

White - Innocence

Black - Strength

These are specific to color scheme btw. For example, Ryan Mitchell (Lightspeed Rescue Titanium Ranger) would be considered Silver as would the Dino Charge Graphite Ranger.
