Good Morning!☀
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Psalm 23:1-3 KJV
If there was anything that King David knew much about, it was being a shepherd. It was as a shepherd that he got his early training, building his faith by having to defend the flock from predators and learning to care for the flock.
When he wrote, "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want," he was expressing in a sentence the totality of care and protection God provides for us. Sheep are dependent on the shepherd for everything they need. They have no natural defences and require vigilance to keep them safe and secure. Just as the shepherd makes sure all the needs of the sheep are met so the Lord meets all our needs!

Gratitude Day 1372
Good Shepherd, You speak to me continuously, revealing to me Your presence and guidance in my life. May I become so familiar with Your sacred Voice that I will always recognize it. Lead me to Yourself, the glorious Gate to the life of grace, and transform me into a faithful and obedient sheep. Jesus, my Good Shepherd, I trust in You.
