The Psychomedian we deserved.

After resetting their timer, Tikki and Marinette transform again, and Chat Noir approaches, trying to grab Ladybug.

He doesn't stand a chance.

Detransforming and retransforming, dividing into Marinette and then merging again with Tikki, who had shared the effects of the akuma-- has now intrinsically changed the rage effect placed on Ladybug now that Marinette and Tikki are one again.

She can think more clearly this time.

And her anger is her own, bottled up and denied and hidden away, suppressed in favor of feeling hurt or sad, but now the feeling of injustice has risen, and they will not be silenced, or restrained.

Chat Noir tries to lay a hand on her.... And she remembers every single time he's ever laid a hand on her, every unwanted touch, every unconsenting kiss, every lingering gaze.... And she snaps.

Like she's never been allowed to before. Never allowed herself to feel.

The anger rises up. Boils over. Reaches a flashpoint, all in an instant.

Months of suppressed anger and pain reach a crescendo, and Adrien doesn't stand a chance, not once he starts trying to argue back from her, excusing his actions and saying "You're overreacting".

Yeah. Chat Noir doesn't stand a chance. Neither did Adrien Agreste, once she snatched his Miraculous back, reclaiming it by her duty as Guardian.

Psychomedian is defeated quickly, but not quick enough she doesn't have to transform back before she can cast the Miraculous Cure, so she has to recharge again.

Which means Marinette and Tikki have to interact while they're both under the akuma's effects.

And for the first time in the history of the Miraculous, Tikki is able to speak her mind, with the akuma's effects overpowering the magic of the Miraculous.

And Tikki is able to vent and scream and cry and rage for the first time in her Miraculous-bound existence about the injustice and the cruelty of her imprisonment, shackled to the mortal plane and the whims of mortals who can order her to do anything they want and she is literally forced to obey no matter what because she didn't realizing joining up with humans so she could help them meant she would be their slave for the rest of eternity.

The power of Psychomedian has an unforeseen effect: under its effects, Marinette breaks free of the fear and shame that has held her back from dealing with Chat Noir, and Tikki is freed from the spell that binds her from the truth, of speaking about the reality of her imprisonment as a corporeal kwami, how as an incorporeal being she loved to see the universe, but despaired that she could never interact with the much more populated lower plains of existence, could never talk to them or learn from them or help them when they were hurt-- but coming together with humanity in an act of kindness resulted in her being enslaved by the very men she and her siblings wished to protect.

Hello, the writer for the "Cosmic Error/Loneliness" prompts here, I'm back once more!

So, since I LOVED the idea of creating OCs to explain what is going on with the show proper AKA the little baby concept who I really should give a name to (you can choose one if you want btw:)), I decided to make a prompt with a slightly opposing path.

OCs:

Serrah, a fragment of the concept of the Bonding that got separated due to the Shackling of the Miraculous. Uses the neopronouns kiz/zuna/bondingself.

Lael, a fragment of the concept of Gravity. uses they/them pronouns.

Sorry for picking the name you proposed in that awesome adrien redemption prompt "Bonds That Bind Us" and that "Freedom" prompt but I loved these names 😅. 

Here's how to use Serrah's neopronouns in a phrase:

Serrah is a fragment of a concept. Kiz is a part of of the Bonding/Unity concept, zuna goal is to fix the disaster the Guardians did to the universe and unite bondingself and the other broken concepts with the rest of the cosmos once again. 

Oh, by the way, I decided to use it/its neopronouns for myself for now! :) (From Rjalker: Congratulations! :D Always awesome to see another it/its user!!)

Onto the prompt! --

Time, Space, Matter.

Eons ago, these three concepts came to be, being born from Nothing, expanding endlessly, without any sign of stopping thanks to the power of Infinity.

More concepts started coming to existence, stabilizing the cosmos that had came to be.

A long time later, the cosmos had stabilized enough for more concepts to emerge, and concepts of other fundamental powers came to existence.

Gravity, Mass, Attraction, Repulsion and more concepts came to be, starting the very long work of creating stars and planets, and then encompassing galaxies and more.

Slowly, but surely, something fascinating started to exist.

Life started coming to existence, along with many concepts such as Knowledge, Instinct, Emotions, and more, to help the new lifeforms adapt and evolve.

It was very recently, from the cosmos' perspective, that humans, calling themselves the Order of Guardians had realized the powers of the concepts, and desired to use it for their goals.

It didn't matter what said goals were, wether they were for evil or for good.

All of that didn't matter as fragments of the concepts, the very essence of what was holding the cosmos, were Shackled.

Forcefully separated from the rest of their cosmos and the majority of the concepts they embodied.

And the Cosmos...

Had broken.

In the vastness of the cosmos, a being edging between being awake and asleep started to feel something different.

Something... worrying and uncomfortable.

Had this being been a human, or had enough sentience and sapience to understand the feeling, kiz would have compared it to something gnawing on zuna neck.

Yet, kiz still was unable to even be awake, not fully for now at least, so the only thing kiz could do was to ignore the wave of constant discomfort running though zuna existence.

Slowly, months, then years, pass, and slowly, the being started to awaken, even as the discomfort never left.

But it was easy to ignore that feeling now as kiz preferred to process the knowledge kiz had gained, even as it confused zuna mind a little.

"...Bonds...? What... are bonds?"

Kiz asked bondingself as kiz  tried to understand.

Bonds. To connect with another. To be able to be in harmony, and happy with each other.

This was the knowledge kiz could understand, but unable to process what it meant for the being bondingself.

More time passes as the being slowly tries to understand what kiz was, and why bonds felt so important to zuna.

"I... Am in the cosmos?"

Kiz tilted zuna head at that.

"I am also part of a concept? Concept of Bonding? But it feels so... Silent and empty... for some reason..."

It felt weird for kiz when thinking so for some reason, but the childish-like innocence and excitement kiz has quickly changed the target of zuna curiosity.

Kiz decided to focus on the "bonding" part of zuna existence instead, as kiz looked around, seeing the many pretty colors on the edge of zuna plane of existence.

Knowledge entering zuna mind telling kiz that the colors represented other concepts, a strange sensation welled within the being kiz identified as happiness.

Maybe interacting with the other concepts will be nice.

Kiz just needed to know how to do so first, something that kiz felt will be clear in time.

Kiz could bear this silent solitude for a while.

It would be worth it.

Kiz really hoped so.

"Maybe... I should name myself first?"

Kiz pondered for a moment, trying to ignore the strange silence around zuna, as knowledge kept entering zuna mind, and then kiz thought about it for a while.

"... Lo... Ni... Ce... Ra... Loni... Cera..."

That word, "lonicera", felt quite important, but it didn't feel completely right.

Then, kiz smiled.

"Se... Rrah... Serrah... My name is Serrah."

From that moment, the being, now named Serrah, cherished the name kiz had chosen.

That was what Serrah was now.

Serrah, the kwami of Bonds, in all that word's beautiful and gentle meanings.

With a name picked by bondingself, it would only be a matter of time before knowledge appeared in front of zuna so kiz could find out how to interact with the other concepts.

Only patience was needed.

Serrah didn't ponder on why the other concepts didn't interact with zuna already.

Kiz believed that they wanted zuna to grow up first, and that Hope was filling zuna with desire and happiness.

Kiz will finally Bond with the other concepts! Kiz only needs to be a little bit more patient!

Kiz could bear this painful silent solitude for a while more...

‘It is time’, Serrah thought to bondingself with giddiness.

Kiz had finally gotten the knowledge of how to interact with the concepts along with how to use zuna powers, albeit not as good as kiz hoped for.

But Serrah didn't let that disappoint zuna, as kiz decided to train further later on.

"Time to make Bonds with my family!" Shouting so, kiz used a fraction of the power of Bonds kiz embodied, the power to connect beings on a mental and emotional level, allowing for them to truly connect and understand each other.

The waves of soft yellow energy gently expanded, moving at a good pace to reach outside of Serrah's plane to make contact with the other concepts.

Kiz truly wished to Bond with the cosmos, and let zuna large soon-to-be family to feel the happiness kiz was feeling at that moment.

So it was very shocking and confusing for Serrah when the waves of zuna powers exited the plane and made contact with the other concepts...

Only for the energy to phase through the other concepts.

"Huh? What happened?" Kiz asked in confusion.

Serrah did exactly what kiz was supposed to do to make contact with the other concepts, so why didn't /that/ happen?

Believing that there was a mistake in zuna approach, kiz decided to try many times more, but...

The results were the same.

It left Serrah confused, worried, and...

Afraid, even.

"Why can't I interact with them? Why don't they interact with me? Is there something wrong with me? Are they too busy to even acknowledge me?" 

Such thoughts ran through Serrah's mind, some more terrifying than the others in zuna mind.

Was kiz hated by the other concepts? Was kiz abandoned and rejected by the cosmos that gave birth to zuna?

"But that couldn't be! I embody the concept of Bonds. Why can't I Bond with my sibilings...?" Serrah lamented in sorrow at that possibility.

Why? Why couldn't kiz bond with the other concepts? What problem is stopping zuna from that?

It couldn't be a problem of powers, Serrah was sure of that due to the knowledge kiz got as a concept.

Serrah was sure that kiz could still interact with most of the other lifeforms like humans, animals, and the many other species across the cosmos. Kiz could feel the power to do so within zuna being.

So why?

Why is kiz unable to do so?

Serrah hated being unable to know how to deal with this nightmare.

It was a futile endeavor, Serrah almost felt that way.

Eyes feeling like they would be crying from the sheer frustration kiz was feeling. If a concept could do so, in the first place.

Years, decades, centuries.

So much time kiz spent trying to see what the problem was.

Decades passing as kiz roamed the cosmos, the sheer silence it got whenever Serrah tried to make contact once more almost driving zuna mad. But it wasn’t their fault, kiz learned－something was stopping them.

Why couldn't the concepts interact with zuna?

What was the thing stopping them?

The best thing Serrah could come up with was that something was wrong with many of the concepts, at least, from the cosmic knowledge kiz could instictually learn as time went by.

Something was wrong with the concepts, and the cosmos in general from what Serrah saw from their effect on the physical reality.

Sometimes and in some areas, the concepts seemed to work fine.

But other times, they seemed to vary between extremes, working slowly, almost like they ceased to exist, or moving with frenzy, twisting everything in front of them.

Serrah couldn't understand it. ‘Why are the concepts acting so inconsistently and whimsically?’

Something was wrong with the cosmos, but Serrah didn't have enough knowledge to understand what it was.

But kiz was almost sure that this might be the reason why kiz couldn't interact with the concepts despite being born with the very power of Bonds.

As Serrah was roaming the vast space, kiz was pondering on how to deal with that problem.

Kiz had already looked for other species to find out if they knew anything, but that only helped mitigate some of the sheer loneliness kiz felt.

The universe must be fixed. It mu-

Something suddenly caught zuna attention.

The small sound of sobbing.

A sobbing that caused Serrah to feel so much anguish and hurt that kiz almost started crying as well.

"W- who is there? Why are you crying?" Kiz said aloud.

Emotions that were not zuna intensified for a moment, before another emotion could be felt.

Confusion and fear.

"W-who's there...?" It was almost inaudible, but Serrah could hear it regardless.

"I am Serrah, the concept of Bonds! Please. Don't be afraid." Serrah answered the scared voice as kiz reached closer to the source of the cry, zuna power working, spreading the compassion and desire of zuna to help. To let the other being understand that kiz only wanted to help.

It worked slightly, as the feelings of fear and hurt diminished for a moment, but something strange was felt by Serrah. Shock from the other party as kiz stated bondingself to be a concept of Bonds.

"A- a concept...? R- really?!"

Serrah could now realize the identity of the being who was crying, as kiz finally reached them.

Eyes widening for a moment as kiz looked at the being in front of kiz, knowing just what was in front of zuna.

"A concept...?" Even Serrah couldn't hide the shock kiz was experiencing, feeling just so much emotions.

Here was, in front of zuna, a concept. A concept that could interact with zuna. One Serrah could actually talk to.

After so long...

It felt so painful yet so relieving, kiz could only sob from happiness. "Y-yes! I am a concept!"

Kiz almost fell over from joy, something that was almost copied by the other concept, as they cried as well.

"T-thank you... Thank you! I- I was so afraid! I- I tried to make contact with the other concepts for years and none had heard me. I- I thought I was abandoned!"

They hugged Serrah from sheer relief, and kiz tried to calm bondingself as kiz hugged them back. "It's fine. It's alright. I will not abandon you. I promise."

It took what felt like hours for the two to calm down, still sniffling from the high emotions the two had to deal with in the last few hours, finally managing to know each other for real.

"I am Serrah, the concept of Bonds, nice to meet you."

"And I am Lael, the concept of Gravity. N-nice to meet you." Lael introduced themselves, still feeling a tinge of sadness, that was quickly overshadowed with happiness as their new acquiantance smiled at them.

"I hope we can be good friends!"

With that, a new friendship was born.

Well, that's the end for the prompt, which I really have to say, I didn't plan for the last part at ALL at the beginning. Like, I only planned to end it with Serrah going to Earth and finding out about the Miraculous and how they are broken and all that (and maybe having some Adrien redemption while at it, because I love both Adrien salt and sugar) but unfortunately, I was not planning to write a whole book, so I guess this is it for the chapter. Might make an Adrien salt/sugar prompt(s) as a continuation later, maybe not. Who knows.

I am not also really sure about the ending, so if you want to change it, do as you see fit!

Imagine if Marinette tried getting her Tikki to talk to Emonette's Tikki to get her to help them flip the villains to heroes, but Tikki just goes 😬 'that won't work. I would suggest murder a lot more often if that was an option you would consider, my alternate is just helping her Weilder reach her goals like I do with you'

- Felix flat out having a deep discussion with marinette apologising for giving the miraculous to Hawkmoth and causing her so much pain (I feel like this was just brushed away too quickly in S5)

- If that was Emilie in the ending then obviously Gabriel saved two people, so someone else gotta go and that would be interesting to see who if that was the case

- The wish having consequences in general

- Felix and Amelié move in to the Agreste Manor

- I still want ladynoir only episodes, so can the other holders like figure out a rota or something

- Chloe redemption with Zoe’s help (far fetched I know but a man can dream)

- Zoe having a new reciprocated love interest

Hello! I've been reading through all your posts so far and even though I am personally an ML fan and not a salter, I love media analysis and I'm sad that there isn't much of them in the fandom. There are directions in the show that I'm not satisfied with and I'm currently working on a rewrite for a future comic.

I'm curious about your ideas and takes on how you would personally rewrite ML, right now one of my issues is figuring out how the Peacock Miraculous works bcuz of sentimonsters. How would you write them?

I'm glad that you're enjoying my stuff! I label it all as salt because - as best I can tell - this fandom defines that as anything even slightly negative, but my goal is more analysis and discussion than angry ranting. Talking about what a piece of media did wrong and how you would improve it is a fantastic way to improve your own writing. It's why I got into media analysis in the first place!

Funnily enough, I do have a massive rewrite out there somewhere on AO3, so I DO have thought about how to handle sentimonsters. Or, more specifically, I've thought about how to handle the peacock. I'll give those first, then circle back to sentis.

In my humble opinion, the idea of sentimonsters should be scrapped for the following reasons, all of which existed long before the sentitheory was even on my radar:

Sentimonsters are too derivative. They feel like akuma clones and not a unique power. You can tell that the power was only created because they wanted/needed a power that would let the peacock be used at a distance the same way the butterfly is even though no other miraculous works this way.

If you want to do a slavery plot, the kwamis are right there being enslaved. You don't need to add human-looking slaves to the mix. Especially given that many of those human-looking slaves are apparently fine to kill off? Just, the ethics around the way the show does sentimonsters will always make me feel icky. Meanwhile the kwamis don't have the awkward element of being magical constructs that were made to serve. They were a free people before the miraculous. The one way I've played with using Felix is as a kwamis freedom fighter instead of a senti one.

Sentimonsters have too nebulous of a lore. In what way are they emotions brought to life? Outside of Feast, emotions don't seem to effect them at all. Nooroo's powers feel far more emotion based than Dusuu's and it bothers me.

There's also the fact that one of the show's biggest problems is character bloat. No writer alive can write a satisfying story that features a team of 36 characters! (18 humans + 18 kwamis) This is why the kwamis act as a hive mind once Marinette becomes the Guardian. You just can't write that many characters into a scene and keep their personalities straight, so they're now a single unit even though it makes Sass and Wayzz feel out of character.

Give all of that and the way the miracle box is kinda... well, it feels a little too cultural appropriation-ish for my tastes. I won't go on a full rant here, but to give two highlights: the zodiac miraculous don't seem to have a thing to do with the real Chinese zodiac and a box based on Chinese lore would NOT use a black cat for the symbol of bad luck. Black cats being bad luck is relatively modern European lore. In other words, the Chinese stuff is just there for ascetics and not actually representative of Chinese culture, so I had no moral issues scrapping the miracle box and making a much smaller version and neither should you if you're so inclined!

The thing about lore is that it only matters as much as the show makes it matter and, outside of a few key miraculous, I really do think you can change them without most readers caring because of how little the powers actually matter to the show's lore. Like they have completely scrapped the idea of making a person match their miraculous even though that was supposedly a big thing back in season two. This is extra true because it took us so long to learn all the powers in canon, so there are a lot of fics that pre-date the canon reveal and do different things.

But if you want to keep sentimonsters to be more canon accurate, I would consider all of the following as options or things to keep in mind. Feel free to use all or none of them as I'm probably never touching this plot and, if I do, it will doubtless be different from whatever you do:

Doing something to make the difference between valid and non-valid sentimonsters abundantly clear and not just "the creator decides who is valid" OR just don't make any sentimonster valid and have Emilie have used the miraculous out of a desire to help people because she didn't know it would kill her

Have Gabriel be more conflicted about the use of sentimonsters since, you know, his kid is one and Adrien, Felix, and Kagami are the only sentimonsters he dealt with for many, many years

Consider having Nathalie make one sentimonster (maybe even present it as her own child) in order to help Gabriel so it's not a slew of akuma 2.0 on the battlefield. Instead its someone at the school looking for Ladybug and Chat Noir after the villains realize that they're teenagers. (This could be a good way to use Lila and make her powers make sense)

Redo Dusuu's Force or make the tie between sentimonsters and emotions more clear. Like Felix is made from jealousy and Adrien is made from love so that's the source of their conflict

Use Felix as a third, morally neutral party who only cares about sentimonsters and have him act toward those goals like we all thought he was going to after season five. Magneto from X-men should be your template for him not whatever canon did.

Consider letting Kagami know from the start and let her know that she and Adrien are meant to be, but she's not allowed to tell him the truth or something. If you don't go that route then, at the very least, have her finding out be a big deal for her relationship with her mother.

Go all in with Adrien's commands. Gabriel wants Adrien to date Kagami? He's going to date Kagami. None of this Y-7 undo button BS. Go big or go home.

Give the sentimonsters a way to break free. That's what the power of love is supposed to be about. You could go super cheesy with this if you combined it with Adrien's source emotion being love. The literal love child using the thing that made him to overcome what he was made to be to be what he wants to be sounds very fun to me.

Consider giving the senti kids superpowers. It's honestly kinda weird how relatively normal they are. Like, sure, Felix is supposed to be super smart, but we only know that from his Wikipedia and that's about it.

I could go on, but that's a lot, so we'll stop here. Feel free to send additional asks or message me. I have many, many thoughts about how to fix canon while trying to stay true to the core ideas of the story. Or, at least, the things I consider to be the core. I legitimately enjoy the adaption process and think the fun of fanfiction is largely trying to fit alternate takes on canon into the base framework so it still appeals to fans of the source.

Things Adrien will never know since he’s not allowed to find out his father’s Hawkmoth

That Gabriel has purposely gone out of his way to upset Adrien’s friends via unfairly punishing him/limiting his freedom solely so he could have an Akuma to use (”Bubbler” and “Chat Blanc”)

That Gabriel once tricked him into believing he had upset his father so he could akumatize himself and keep him and Ladybug from realizing his real identity (”Collector”)

That after akumatizing Gorilla (“Gorizilla”), that he purposely put Adrien’s life in danger and had him thrown from on top a building just so he could find out if he was actually Chat Noir or not (and only changed his mind after Adrien had been thrown and it looked like he wasn’t about to transform to save himself)

Had noticed via his akuma butterflies when Adrien is upset/depressed but did nothing about it

Openly threatened his cousin (Like, feel how you want about Felix, Gabriel still threatened a child)

Has had Paris nearly flooded/burned down/deleted/eeby-deebied/brainwashed/zombie invaded several times while Adrien was outside the house with no idea if he had gotten/might get caught up in the attack (and not seeming to care)

That the few time he did arrange for Adrien to not be around when he was planning something (NY and Shanghai specials, “Risk”, etc.), it was specifically so he could hurt his friends, and usually done at Adrien’s own expense

That Gabriel almost caused WW3 by threatening the world with nukes (NY special)

That his father murdered someone(Or at least had their murder arranged via a gang hit) (Shanghai special)

That Nathalie’s health dove into the negatives specifically because she was helping him with his supervillainy (Yeah, she chose to become Mayura and everything, but this is still someone Adrien considers family here)

Everything about the Grimoire

Went out of his way to manipulate Chloe in “Heart Hunter” (Again, feel however you want, Gabe still purposely made it so Chloe would think Ladybug didn’t want her so he could get her on his side more easily)

Purposely put Lila and him together so she could “keep an eye on him” at his behest

Was the one who instigated Lila into enacting her plan in “Ladybug”, which ended up with Marinette expelled, and all because he considered her a “bad influence” on Adrien

Had twice Akumatized Adrien after he found out about him being Hawkmoth and his mother’s actual fate, just so he could get Ladybug’s miraculous (“Chat Blanc” and “Ephemeral”), which led to the world ending and everyone being dead in one of these scenarios

Has been magically manipulating him into obeying his will (If Senti!Adrien proves to be canon)

The whole thing with Alliance was super scummy, and he basically used his son's likeness in ways that are even more disturbing than in some previous cases. But with the genetic likeness he can have Adrien's face say whatever and he used this for several of his schemes, and thats pretty f***ed up.

9. Gaslighting his son in order to hide his identity

(The Collector AND Illusion)

The fact he did this twice and purposefully acted in a way that he knew would make adrien feel terrible is pretty messed up. Sure It may not seem malicious but Gabriel never needed to go that far to hide his identity.

8. Manipulating the emotions of others for his Plans

Now this is a no brainer as this is basically what he does all the time as Hawkmoth, but in several cases he does it directly or indirectly as Gabriel, usually with teenagers. Chloé, Lila, Marinette, Kagami just to name a few.

7. Creating akuma that put his son in danger.

Yanloushi, Star train, Frozer and more. Akuma that had some involvement because of Adrien and thus put Adrien in serious danger. He rarely takes precaution to make sure his son wont be in danger from an akuma attack.

6. Creating akuma that Personally target Adrien.

Gabriel has akumatized people that had a personal interest in causing adrien harm and have even targeted himself and got adrien in the crossfire. Gabriel has shown little to no remorse in doing so as he is so sure it has little matter in it.

5. Terrorism

Creating akumas that attack the city, having destroyed paris on multiple occasions and even went international, nearly causing a nuclear bomb strike to go off in NYC, to causing a city destroying monster in Shanghai. Both incidents had Adrien in those areas, while the former may have had Gabriel send Adrien home, the later Gabriel didnt realize until After he did it. He also showed no remorse for that.

4. The use and abuse of Kwami

Unlike with akumatization where it was the users call if they accepts. The users in alliance suffer from withdrawal and are not able to properly make a decision.

Hi. I am not that smart lol when it comes to the whole senti thing and sometimes i skip episodes from miraculous so I just wanted to ask if you could clarify this question for me. If the peacock miraculous create senti monsters and the union of Gabriel and Emilie child came from the peacock miraculous and I know it's weird personally to me because before s4 he was definitely real boy and had free will I'm sure before changing retconning him in s4 . Then shouldn't the peacock miraculous be destroyed or never used because I don't really get why it's even created if such an item forces real beings with conscious thoughts doesn't matter human or not to become a slave for their master shouldn't that be obliterated.

I think a kwami is formed whenever an abstract idea is formed. I kind of find it sad that like their will is subjected by human themselves because who forced it it seems cruel like even if it more for the good I I still find it sad their being forced into that role. Like honestly I kind of wish the show went more into the lore aspect of it then the romance ya know?

In my opinion, there was nothing in the first three seasons to suggest that Adrien was a sentimonster. Gabriel wasn't obsessively rubbing his ring all the time. Adrien rebelled against his father a lot in those seasons, which goes against the idea that he was being mind-controlled all this time, especially since Seasons 4 and 5 have been trying to tell us that Gabriel has the habit of using this ring for the smallest of inconveniences from Adrien.

And yeah, I don't really think the Peacock Miraculous can really be used in a morally justifiable way. There is no justification for creating literal slaves. I've always said that it should just be destroyed. I honestly can't see any use for it that isn't a denial of free will.

About the Kwami lore, you're right. The show does try to delve into the Kwami's, but it sorta dropped that whole endeavor almost as soon as it started. And I don't mind that, since Miraculous is about romance first and foremost, but it would have been nice to see!

Who is the mage who created the miraculous? Why did he make them? Why did the kwami agree to be bound to them? Did they agree, or is the ability of the miraculous holder to treat their kwami like a slave proof that the mage was more morally dubious than he seems?

Why haven't we learned more about the Order and what they use the miraculous against before evil miraculous users popped up aside from that one big octopus in a flashback? This is despite the fact that Tibetian Order exists in the modern day now. Why do we know nothing about any other Orders outside of them having to exist due to the other miraculous boxes in the world? In Le Choix des Kwamis, Monarque loses because of the choices the kwamis make. It comes back around on itself.

Gabriel wouldn’t have found out Ladybug and Chat Noir’s identities.

Adrien feels violated by the Alliance rings. His image, all around him, using his voice to say words he never spoke. He didn’t want them. He didn’t even know what Gabriel had done until the public release.

He’s too scared to push back against Gabriel. It’s easy to manipulate him into putting the ring on, but as soon as he’s not being watched he takes it off. He hates those rings.

Marinette won’t wear the Alliance because of her(in this case justified)paranoia. She doesn’t know Monarque is behind them hunting her, but she knows they track and record their location. She borrowed Soqueline’s ring for twenty minutes and it nearly blew her secret identity. Unfortunately, Marinette thinks this is an issue for her scatterbrained self and fails to realize Gabriel spies on every movement.

Ladybug and Chat Noir’s identities were safe. If Plagg and Tikki had never made that choice, nothing would have gone wrong.

Alya and Zoé both wear Alliance rings. Marinette could’ve warned Alya, but she didn’t know to. Marinette likely assumes Chat wears one, and he’s fine.

Scarabella and Black Minette’s first battle exposes them to the worst possible person. With fifteen Miraculous, Monarque can release an akuma and turn himself into a tiny army of invisible men with paralytic venom. With whatever morals he has, Monarque has no issue lying in wait inside a stall in the women's bathroom to attack a teenage girl.

Monarque almost won. He had the victory he’d been fighting for, but the kwamis stopped him. Tikki, the spirit of luck, cast her lucky charm to the wind to fall in Marinette’s lap. Plagg turned his cataclysme on his own Miraculous, destroying his connection to the human plane.

Why did that happen? Tikki has clear morals. She doesn’t want the wish made, and she’ll fight villains on principle. Plagg does not. Déflagration makes sure to reiterate that Plagg wiped out the dinosaurs. He goes to kill Chloé in this very episode. Kwamis do not have to be good.

Plagg and Tikki fight back, giving Marinette and Adrien the chance to reclaim their Miraculous, because of who Gabriel, Marinette and Adrien are. It’s their loyalty.

Tikki loves Marinette. It’s no coincidence that she goes to the one person who knows Ladybug’s identity. Scarabella is competent, but Tikki all but begs her to take the Miraculous. This way, she can still see Marinette.

Adrien means so much to Plagg. The Order and Fù kept Plagg on a tight leash. He offers Adrien escape as Chat Noir, and Adrien sets him free.

Plagg and Tikki trust Adrien and Marinette. When they ask for their Miraculous back, Adrien and Marinette might hesitate, but they are Plagg and Tikki’s friends, not their masters. They let go, even though they weren’t given a chance to say goodbye.

Marinette and Adrien respect the kwamis. Gabriel has abused Nooroo from the beginning of season one. The more power he gets, the crueler he is to his captives, his servants, even his son.

Trying to screw over Adrien's life because his abused cousin (who he knows is abused) didn't come to his dad's funeral and robbing his uncle because of inheritance drama, and being willing to team up with a supervillain to accomplish said robbery. Straight up villain, fully respectable, if a somewhat dumb motive.

And yet, in his next appearance, he gives up the ring he went through so much effort to get and stopped trying to get them, because his new motive is to get a Miraculous instead. And yet, when he got access to almost all the Miraculouses, he gave them up to his uncle to get a specific one with the power to make and unmake slaves.

After that he's supposedly a human rights activist for the slave race he got power over, except that he's totally okay with slavery when it's the kwamis getting handed around like property. So, add the bonus category of "The Moral Standards are so low we need to start digging to find them" for the slavery.

Also, suddenly he's also interested in "protecting Adrien", when he's never ever had Adrien's best interest in mind, even when launching a scheme that was supposedly all about protecting Adrien.

Over the years, her relationship with Marinette and her friends turn into a family bond and the feeling Juleka gets when near Marinette is close to an older sister. After Monarch has all the Miraculous, Juleka and the rest of her friends notice Marinette’s state as she falls into a depression. This becomes a stepping stone for Mistress Tigress corruption.

She has the powers of the Tiger Miraculous but boosted. The corrupted Akuma mixed with the Miraculous allows her the ability to use Clout but it is 2x powerful which makes it more dangerous. She has the ability to control how powerful her clout is. Her second power is sorrow, just like clout, if she hits a person or her target with sorrow they get a sudden wave of sadness and sorrow. She’ll use this power to try to manipulate her victims into joining her side and will sometimes succeed. She’s very manipulative and is the opposite of Juleka. She’s an unstable person and will attack anyone on sight. She has a painful bite that will cause you to fall into a depression and eventually become her slave. She has the animal tendencies of a feral tiger. She has two powers, Clout, and Sorrow.

Her relationship with her team is close to a family bond and the reason she fights so hard to corrupt Marinette is so she can enjoy having her family whole again. Though she is still Juleka, her miraculous is corrupted meaning Juleka is also corrupted. If she wishes to, Mistress Tigress can detransform back into Juleka though the Akuma has merged with the Miraculous.

Her attitude is snarky, manipulative, cruel, and just plain mean. Though she does not act this way towards Marinette(Ladybug) or her team.

The reason why the corrupted miraculous hero’s prefer to stay transformed is because when they are not transformed the Akumas hold is weaker and some times their old selves come to light but the corrupted kwamis like to remind their holders why they are doing this as the kwamis also have the same goal; corrupt Marinette so they can have their family whole again as the corrupted kwamis miss their guardian and Tikki. The corrupted kwamis are manipulative and their words are like poison venom that their holders feed off of. They are always successful at getting their holders back on track. Though the team does detransform sometimes so they can hang out with their kwamis as they missed them over the years that Monarch had them.

Mistress Tigress likes to use peoples stuff as a scratching post, and can purr like a cat. She likes sunbathing and destroying things. She will go feral randomly and attack anyone near due to her heightened emotions.

Because Monarch melted down the ancient Miraculouses of the very first miracle box that ever existed. The Miraculous feel incomplete, no longer whole or able to support the Kwami that inhabits the Miraculous. The rings feel wrong to the ancient magic that was used to create and protect the Miraculous and the Miraculous is trying to fix itself whenever it can with the kwami's powers. But due to Monarch using them mainly for transferring the power of the Miraculous over to the Akuma, the Miraculous no longer has the power to fix itself.

So when Monarch had the stupid idea to kidnap all of Ladybug's team and force the rings on them and then akumatize the rings. The Miraculous used the Akuma to fix itself while using the Akumas magic to make itself complete all while corrupting the Kwamis and the users. The Miraculous begins to use the Akuma and suck the Akuma of all of its magic, so it's a never ending cycle of the miraculous stealing magic from the Akuma and the Akuma stealing magic from the butterfly miraculous that it's being powered by, the Miraculouses start to become corrupted because the Akuma is giving them the wrong kind of magic to fix the Miraculous and make it complete.

The miraculous, the Akuma, and the holder merge into one with their soul, and that's how it's corrupted because the miraculous is feeding off of the Akuma and the body that's attached to the miraculous is feeding off the magic of the corrupted miraculous to get strength and be powerful.

The moment the tiger ring was forced onto Juleka’s finger and akumatized it transformed back into it’s original form and began to corrupt Juleka, unlike the other Akumas Juleka has become, she fought it until the corrupted kwami; Roarr, began to rule her emotions, reminding her of all the times Hawkmoth had turned her into a victim, the old feeling of happiness that she felt while being Purple Tigress only for Hawkmoth to rip it away. And lastly revealing that Marinette was Ladybug. Roarr reveals deep secrets about Marinette, how she cried every night since she became Guardian, how lonely she felt, her never ending nightmares, the wight of her duty, her hidden depression, how she wished for a happy life full of love, her dreams of living with all the kwamis in a world where people like Hawkmoth never existed. Juleka realizes Lila had been lying and Marinette had been protecting them even though they hadn’t believed her. Her anger at the lying wench deepens the corruptions hold.

The corruption takes a deeper hold, going through Juleka’s memories of seeing Ladybug fight all of Monarchs powerful Akumas, seeing the danger Marinette was put in over the years and eventually remembering that one Akuma battle Ladybug had been murdered and Scarabella had taken her place realizing it was Marinette who had died, it was Marinette who the media was slandering, it was her friend Marinette who would do anything for her friends and family that was dying and fighting on the never ending battle field of Monarch and it’s just one little question that Roarr asks that tips her over the edge.

“I can help you make our family whole again, just like how it used to be. We can make a new world Juleka, one where people like Hawkmoth don’t exist, all you have to do is help me and my friends corrupt our beloved Guardian and we can finally have our happily ever after. But my power comes with a cost.”

“Are you willing to take that cost?”

Juleka looks down at her miraculous, the image of Marinette in the butterfly garden, the place she would secretly go to after school, sobbing as she blames herself, as she tells herself she doesn’t deserve her happy end. As her mask of false happiness falls and shatters, Juleka can only remember the warmth that Ladybug would give off when it was their turn to patrol, the feeling of safety and comfort gone as the girl who was Ladybug yelled at herself and slipped into a deep depression filled her mind.

Monarch had taken their sun, Monarch had taken their hope, Monarch had taken Marinette.

So Juleka was going to take Monarch down, thus the corruption completes and Juleka gives in.

Monarch is glad that his masterpieces are complete and orders them to kill Marinette, to bring him her miraculous.

They kill him instead, he is too weak and pathetic to be their leader…they need their everyday Ladybug..yes…she will be the perfect leader

Their perfect Alpha, their sun, their guardian, their ladybug, they just have to catch her and akumatize her.

Then they can be a family again.
