Hi guys,
This blog post is a typical example of me being late to the party, but I finally tried The INKEY LIst!!! I know I am beyond late and everyone has recommended that I try this brand for a while now but I can honestly say I now understand the hype. If you didn't know INKEY List has been a viral skincare brand for a while now and I am always seeing their cleanser go viral on TikTik so I decided to finally try out some products. I picked up the Skin prep gift set which gives you 3 full sized products to help prep your skin for the day makeup, but you can also use 2 of the products in your night routine as well as day.
So let's chat about the products I got in this set. The first product is The INKEY List Caffeine Eye Cream, 15ml, £10.00. I love trying a new eye cream because my under eye bags look like they have their luggage and need help. This cream is amazing at brightening and de-puffing your eyes, you can honestly see such a difference after you apply it. For such an affordable price I was so surprised how much of a impact it had to my under eye area. I use this eye cream every morning before makeup and evening after my skincare routine and using it twice a day has really made an improvement for me.
The next product I got was The INKEY List Polyglutamic Acid Serum, 30ml , £15.00. This serum is recommended to wear before makeup to help improve your facebase so your makeup looks even better on the skin. The serum is made of polyglutamic acid which can hold 4x more moisture than Hyaluronic Acid, locking in moisture and helping the skin appear instantly smoother. The formula also helps to make the skin look brighter and even complexion too. I adore wearing this serum because it makes such a difference and you really can see a blurring effect it has on the skin.
Lastly I got the viral INKEY List Oat Cleansing Balm, 150ml, £12.00. This is product you can use in your AM and PM skincare routine and essentially melts makeup off your face or any dirt if you are makeup prepping. Not only does it melt your makeup off it deeply nourishes and hydrates your skin without stripping or drying it out. I love how fresh and glowy my skin looks after every use and it's such a easy step to give your skin a real deep clean.
Overall I really like the brand and I'm excited to try out more products in the future. As always all products mentioned are linked above.
Lot's of love,
Bella x x

People outside Asia: "Omg, my skin loves this brand. They're sooooooo innovative. My dark spots and pigmentation were lightened within a few weeks.

The INKEY List - Ceramide Night Treatment Review
Purchase: This was one of the products I purchased when I was curating a skincare routine for myself in July 2021. I remember reading great reviews about it on Reddit and added it to my cart.
First Impressions: It has a slight yellow tint to it and has a caramel-like texture. It feels slimy (less slimy than snail mucin though) but spreads easy. Think a thick gel consistency.
Usage: Since it is a night treatment, I only ever used it as the last step in my night time skincare routine in place of a moisturizer. I used it back in 2021 but kept it aside. I continued using it this year from August 20 to September 12 after pulling it out of my skincare drawer to declutter. This time around, I used it over adapalene. I would say it was 50-60% full when I pulled it out of my drawer this year which lasted me around 20 days. So a full bottle would last 1.5 months with generous use of 4 pumps.
Thoughts: I loved this cream when I used it back in 2021 and love it today. I woke up with the most supple and soft skin every morning. I think it is perfect to go over adapalene, arguably the best moisturizer I have used over it. I never broke out even once while I used this and I even got complimented on my skin the morning after using this.
Final: This is definitely worth a re-purchase. It costed $18.99 when I purchased it 2 years ago and costs $20.49 today. However it seems like it is out of stock everywhere, including The INKEY List website. I hope they don't discontinue this product as I absolutely loved it and is a retinoid staple to have in your routine.

Honest Review: The Inkey List Omega Water Cream Moisturiser
At the start of the season I was in search of a deep moisturising cream that would save my skin from the winter chill. I wondered into the aisles of Sephora to find a suitable and affordable cream. That is when I discovered the Inkey List. I had heard about the brand before and often wondered if I should ever test their products. I thought this was a great opportunity for me to try out one of…

Winter Skincare Survival
Winter skin is a serious thing. Skin can feel tight, unhappy and look dull when our tans fade so making sure you’re using the right skincare is incredibly important to help combat the dryness inflicted by the cold winds. Skin can be temperamental so if you’re changing your routine up try to only do it once every now and again to avoid flare ups and as always if you get any serious reactions stop…

drop that skincare routine
9. do you have a skincare routine?
i am the most undisciplined person alive so i will admit most days my skincare routine is just taking my make-up off and moisturising, and sometimes we don't even get that far BUT if i do it, i use micellar water bc it's one thing i find that really quickly gets heavy eyeliner off (i literally pour it into my hands and just RUB my face with it. which feels like something ur not meant to do but whatever) and then i use aveeno moisturiser, which is a really heavy duty moisuriser but im in a perpetual war against eczema so my skin kinda just has to deal. i also make sure to rub it in in a specific way bc i refuse to buy one of those gua sha stones, so i follow the template you'd use for one of them ig. and it actually works? idk ive always been insecure about my jawline and i cant tell if me starting to do this just happened to coincide with me naturally growing into my features but im too scared to stop now bc ive noticed a lot of change in my like. facial definition if that's what it's called

I bought some more skincare... now I understand why people get obsessed with this ahahaha
It improved my skin and solved my problems pretty well though! Applying makeup is so much easier too now that I dont have random dry patches on my face anymore, and I look less dead and more alive even without makeup, which is good

The INKEY List Polyglutamic Acid Serum - Review
First Impressions: This serum was part of the online order I purchased from The INKEY List in July 2021. I was already a user of Hyaluronic Acid from The Ordinary and I'd read that polyglutamic acid works x5 better as a humectant than hyaluronic acid, as it holds x5 the number of water molecules as its weight as compared to hyaluronic acid. I like hyaluronic acid as a dry-skin girlie, and so I presumed I would like its more powerful counter-part. Reviews on reddit seemed to back it up and so I added it to my cart with the rest of my order.
Usage: I used it as a day-time serum. Since humectants pull water from the environment, I sprayed Avene Spring Water to dampen my skin before going in with 2 pumps of this serum. However, I've read that you can use this serum on dry skin as well. I'd kept this serum aside last year, but I pulled it out from my skincare drawer and used it this past week (25th-29th July). This time around, I used the Argireline solution before going in with polyglutamic acid. I followed it up with moisturizer.
Thoughts: It has a thicker consistency than hyaluronic acid but it's less sticky and absorbs well. It kept my skin hydrated all day without breaking me out. One consistent opinion of mine is that I feel The INKEY List would be a much more successful brand if only they changed their packaging, but thankfully this serum comes in a pump and hence was easier to use than other serums I've owned. I like this serum. It lives up to its name and claims and is formulated well.
Final: I feel it's a bit overpriced at $18.99 for 30ml, which is what it costed 2 years ago too. It's slightly above average but nothing that wow-ed me, which is a trend I've noticed with most hydrating serums I've tried. Like do I notice a difference in my skin when I use this serum? Doubt it. If you would like to purchase a hydrating serum and are confused between hyaluronic acid and this, go for this. But otherwise you don't really need this serum in your routine and there are much more innovative formulations in the market left to try.
