Hey! I hope you enjoyed your holidays 💖
I remember I asked you for a spider reader who helped Miles and that, well, how about a spider reader who just passed her canon event?
At that point, canon events can be avoided or modified, but she did not arrive in time for one (perhaps the death of a loved one or a relative) and Miguel, seeing her so affected, asks for help from the gods and humans of the RoR universe; because even if he doesn't say it, he appreciates her (she's a young spider, sometimes she reminds him of his daughter).
Just some comfort and fluff, something cute before my brain wants angst hahaha, well, I hope you like my request, much love! 💃🏽💕
-After gaining the freedom to travel between your new home in Valhalla, where you had been adopted by gods and history’s warriors, and your old home, plus HQ, you were feeling quite happy.
-Miguel had laid off, especially after learning that canon events could be safely avoided without causing any harm to the multi-verse, and you and the other troublemakers like Miles and Hobie, had been pardoned for your misbehaving.
-After a few days of not visiting your new family in Valhalla, many grew concerned, as you visited almost daily, as you enjoyed spending time with them.
-When the portal opened and Miguel stepped out, many were stunned before Jessica followed after him, holding onto your hand.
-You looked like crap, like you had been crying for days, overwhelmed with grief, acting shy and withdrawn, even to some of your favorites, like Loki, who had approached you, a smile not on his face for once, concerned for you.
-You hugged Loki, trying to bury your face into his chest as your tears came to your eyes again, trying to keep your sobs quiet as Loki pulled you to a large armchair, pulling you into his arms and wrapped himself around you while Kojiro and Nikola approached, trying to help calm you down.
-Zeus looked at Miguel, silently asking for an explanation and Miguel sighed softly, sending you a small glance, his heart aching for you, as he doted on you like a daughter, since you were so young, being a young teenager.
-Miguel told them that you unfortunately were unable to prevent your canon event from happening, telling your stubborn police officer father to not take a certain case and he blew you off, saying that you didn’t know what you were talking about.
-As your spider-persona, Red Widow, you tried to rescue him ahead of time, telling him that there was a trap being laid by the group he was investigating and was going to attack not only him but his two partners that were with him.
-Your father, a high-ranking officer, hated you, thinking you were just a pain in the ass vigilante who needed to butt out, told you to get lost or he was going to arrest you.
-You were able to save his partners, but not him, as he had thrown himself on top of them when the gunfire started, proving to not only him but your partners that you had been right, and you tried to save them.
-You helped in capturing the gang members that attacked and killed your father, putting them behind bars and the police officers you had saved told you to get out of the area before the chief, who definitely didn’t like your meddling, arrived.
-You couldn’t go home, knowing that you failed your father, instead running to HQ where Jessica was the one to help console you, bringing you to Miguel.
-Miguel swallowed before bowing his head to Zeus, “I know that this goes against everything that we stand for, and that it isn’t fair to the others, but… is it possible to change, to change fate?”
-You turned on Miguel, stunned out of your tears, your eyes wide, “Miguel- but that’s- that’s against the rules!!” Jessica was shocked as well, hearing Miguel’s question.
-Zeus chuckled softly, stroking his beard, “My- you are a bold one aren’t you? But I do agree with you- that it’s not fair to the others who have lost someone as well. Y/N has told us all about these canon events and how most have lost someone close to them. We care for Y/N as our own child, and while we are not her biological parents, we love her just the same.”
-Miguel wouldn’t look at you or Jessica, not willing to see the shocked looks on either of your faces before Zeus sent you a small, sad nod, “Forgive me, but fate should not be changed, not even to our favorite child.”
-Miguel took their answer with grace, offering a slight bow of his head, thanking him for at least hearing him out and Jessica sighed softly, happy to hear that they wouldn’t have a mutiny on their hands with your father being brought back while none of the others had their loved ones returned.
-Miguel apologized to Jessica and she could see the look in his eyes, a longing of sorts, missing his own daughter, wanting nothing more than to hug her one more time, and she forgave him, but warned him not to do it again.
-Miguel then turned to you, “And you- don’t tell anyone that I tried to help you!” you grinned lightly, teasing him, making Miguel roll his eyes, “Aww~ you don’t want anyone to know what a sweet guy you are?” Jessica couldn’t help but laugh, making him send her a glare as well as most everyone was soon laughing.
-He threw up his hands, exasperated with you, Jessica, and the others, opening a portal to HQ, muttering to himself in Spanish. Jessica sent you a wink, “Make sure you drink some water little bit!” you waved, and she headed off after Miguel, the portal closing after her.
-Your adopted family doted on you, making sure you ate, drank water, and rested, as well as turning into living pillows for you to cuddle with, comforting you in this time of need. You weren’t as sad as before, because Miguel surprised you, asking Zeus to bring your father back, showing you that he wasn’t as mean as he tried to portray himself to be.
