“Why would I?” the Alter Ego replied as she sat herself down. “Why would I forget the people I befriended?” Embedded into her necklace was an amber stone, the Soulstone of the Traveler, right in the center. “No matter how long it has been I will never forget the people I’ve met.” she adds.

“You know I owe you a debt of gratitude.  If you didn’t call out to her well I would’ve laid dormant still,” she explained placing a hand to her heart. “And I’ll be honest I don’t regret my actions so far.” Shirae’s experiences added to Somnia’s and the people the Au Ra met added to her strength.

“Give me a reason for why I should’ve forgotten.” she teased as she went to wipe at the Miqo’te’s forming tears.

Here was the apocryphal hero forgotten by all and the one who brought her back.

“We have many things to get done, many stories to tell my friend. So then lets catch up for old times sake, Raha?”

She’s enthused to proffer up her knowledge of things to anyone willing to listen. “Though I’m not one to admit this easily there’s much I want to learn as well.” she adds.   Somnia was still not at her best not with her being splintered as she was but eight parts were still better than nothing. If anything it was a good thing she was not at full power when she was summoned, it’d be far too much strain on the Master of Chaldea.

“I can’t wait to meet the other Servants. Maybe I should introduce Chaldea to some of the activities found back home.  Frontline would be fun if not a bit harrowing with all the Noble Phantasms going off.” she mused.

Somnia behind all her mirth and merrymaking cannot hide the fact that only in a certain world would she be at full strength.  She is pained at her fractured and broken state but she can’t abide by living vicariously through Shirae. No Shirae is her own person and she cannot strip her of autonomy and thus she’ll sleep and dream for as long as she can help it

etymology time! Where does Somnia take her name from? She takes her name from the Somnia, the many children of the Roman god Somnus. As such her powers are partly dream based and she acts as the custodian of her people’s dreams.  Where ever she goes people tend to have pleasant dreams for the duration of her stay.

A tiny bird comes to greet you.  By the ephemeral beast’s appearance it was a denizen of the dreamplane.  The small creature no bigger than one’s thumb flitted off before returning to perch on a small branch in front of you.
