🌗 : Does your character have a favourite Pokéball? Which ones do they use the least? For Barry, it's Luxury Balls. He thinks that, since that Pokéball variant is built with comfort in mind, it's worth the investment and lack of immediate advantages both to give his Pokémon the best possible treatment as well as to speed up the most boring part of training in his opinion, which is earning the Pokémon's trust.

For Kouki, it's Quick Balls. When he's looking for species to study, he usually wants to get through the capture process as fast as possible both to ensure he doesn't lose track of the Pokémon as well as to get back to work right away. Every other aspect of training can be done at its own pace, with no rush.

📖 : Did your character go to Pokémon School? If so, was it public or private? Were they homeschooled? Both of them studied at the Jubilife Trainer's School, which I headcanon as being public, but not together. Between Kouki skipping grades and just being older than Barry to begin with, he was actually two years ahead. As of the present, Barry's on his second year of high school while Kouki's a college freshman.
