I'm so late to this, I have no idea who's already done it. If you haven't yet, please, please consider yourself tagged - and tag me in your response so that I can read your answers! (Actually if you have done it already, also link me so I can read your answers. These are fun questions with bonus fic recs so I'd like to see them all!)

Anyway, I got a little rambly, so I'll put in a cut to not murder anyone's dash 😁

1. How many works do you have on Ao3? 82.

2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? 397,560.

3. What fandoms do you write for? I've been primarily writing Star Trek (Strange New Worlds and Voyager) lately, with a dash of The Librarians and Leverage.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

Fringe Benefits (SNW) - My beloved monument to ridiculousness where I approach the totally canon subject of Chris Pike's horse skills via Number One's hair.

October 2373 (Voyager)- My magnum opus! The one time I've managed to achieve completion of an October prompt list - five of them. In one coherent (ish) fic. Granted, it did take me until December... but the point is that I finished it! It follows a very eventful and occasionally random month aboard the Starship Voyager, where they have to deal with imprisonment, alien attacks, diplomatic meetings, and Kathryn's inability to talk about her feelings.

For the Captain Who Has Everything: A Prixin Story (Voyager) - Look. You can't just give me three delightful misfits for ONLY ONE EPISODE and not expect me to adopt them as my own. SO this is what happened next for the little Good Shepherd flock, where 'what happened next' is shenanigans to set up their Captain with her First Officer as a gesture of gratitude.

Growing Pains (SNW) - Aw, one of my early Chris and Una fics! This is one of the set I wrote while the first season was just airing weekly - hard to believe that was almost two years ago 😲 This one was the aftermath of Una 'I'm just fine-ing' her way into emergency surgery and Chris letting her know that there were things up with which he would not put - top of the list being losing his Number One.

Command Advice (SNW) - Another of the early SNW set! This was my 'spicier' take on the resulting conversation between Chris and Una after she learns about her Where Fun Goes to Die nickname. In one version, they have a very serious conversation about Starfleet principles. In *this* version, they're less serious. Also naked.

5. Do you respond to comments? Yes! Or at least I try. I love and cherish every comment, but I tend to run (very) behind on responding and have to play the game of 'is it weird to reply to a comment this late?'

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? My very first fic ever! Actually I think it might be my only fic with an angsty ending. I guess I got it all out of my system early. That one is Wednesday, a Sanctuary fic where Helen has a very sad day.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Literally everything else. I can't even pick out of my collection of sappiness.

8. Do you get hate on fics? Not really.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Yes, there's very little I would not be willing to at least try writing! Up to now I think I've written at least mildly smutty M/F, F/F, and F/M/M sexcapades and/or BDSM. I'm working my way around to some F/F/M for SNW if I could get the three of them to cooperate.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? I think I've only written one crossover and it was for SNW/The Librarians, bringing about a meeting between Eve Baird and Una Chin-Riley, which we would have in a fair and just universe.

Wait, I take that back! I also had a little snippet on Tumblr where Hawkeye, BJ, Jonathan, and Ardeth meet up, because The Mummy/MASH is... certainly a combo. Actually, I think I also had a snippet of Gomez Addams meeting Hawkeye and BJ? What is it about MASH?

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I know of!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Also not that I know of.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Kind of? The Discord crowdsourced the plot to a ridiculously hilarious fic and I wrote a bit of it for fun, but I'm not sure if that counts? Co-writing does sound like a good time, though!

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? Voyager! The happiest little ship in the Delta Quadrant 🚀

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I have a lot of bits and pieces on my hard drive that will never be finished and released into the Ao3 wilds - the plot didn't work out/was barely a plot, I've moved on from the fandom, I was trapped in a fever dream of my nieces playing Frozen on repeat, blacked out, and woke up to 3 chapters dealing with the socio-political ramifications of Elsa decamping and Anna appointing the prince of another land in charge rather than Arendelle's Privy Council. Anyway.

The WIPs I have posted, though, I fully intend to finish at some point! It may take a while and it might not be my original planned ending, but they haunt me. So one day I will have to put them to rest. Possibly with a 2x4, tarp, and shovel.

16. What are your writing strengths? I like to think I'm pretty good at getting into the character's voice. I hope so, at least; I spend a lot of time on it! Also, humor, although that one is objective, of course.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Commas. Clearly.

Structurally, it varies per fic, but I have a habit of running thin on plot. I start strong at A, want to get to B, but the middle gets kind of wander-y. This also leads to me sometimes stalling mid-project if I get distracted or pulled away - hence my current three WIPs. Though it doesn't help that the past six months have sucked on letting me have much free time.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? If it was short, easy dialogue in Spanish or French I might be able to swing it. Otherwise, I would need to phone a friend.

19. First fandom you wrote for? Sanctuary!

20. Favorite fic you’ve written? This is a hard one. I love them all for different reasons, some of which have more to do with the time I was writing them than with the actual contents. Reluctance was my first multi-chapter fic ever back in the FFN days, so that seems like a pretty good candidate. I learned so much while writing that fic!

Tag game: Eight shows to get to know me!

I was tagged by the lovely @smoothshine, thank you friend ❤️

1. The adventures of Hercule Poirot (Agatha Christie)

This is my favourite show of all time. I don’t even know how many times I’ve watched every episode and this is thirteen seasons long. Agatha Christie is a literary giant and this is arguably one of the best page-to-screen adaptations of all time, for good reason. David Suchet portrays Poirot brilliantly, his friend group is to die for and one episode is enough to scratch that i want a cozy murder mystery where everything works out in the end itch. 

2. Sherlock BBC

This show is part of my personality, really, and what originally got me into fandom. Apart from being an incredibly well crafted adaptation, this was also the first time I actually saw a queer couple live together. And no, I don’t take criticism on the fact of their being a queer couple. When I was a baby lesbian Sherlock and Irene Adler where my icons and it was so nice logging on tumblr and seeing people showing love to something gay. Up till then I didn’t think it was possible

3. She-Ra

This show altered my brain chemistry. An actual lesbian couple being the core of an amazing tv series? My heart was blown to bits and reconstructed. I watched this, again, as a baby gay, and it was very affirming and gentle to my heart

4. The end of the f***ing world 

I cannot stress how much I love this show. Season 2 especially is such a respectful and kind approach on how traumatic experiences shape our perception of the the world and how much we need people who love and understand us as we learn to navigate it again.

5. Merlin

The first few seasons of this live in my heart rent free, I adore Merlin so much. I want to hug every character. And officiate Merlin and Arthur’s wedding.

6. Feel Good

I can’t say how many times I’ve watched this show but it certainly isn’t a healthy amount. It’s funny, it’s tender and it’s a story about two young queer people learning to accept themselves and love each other. What’s not to love?

7. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood 

I’m sorry, I know this show has a brilliant story about two brothers in it but Roy and Riza are the protagonists for me, I just *screams* 

8. Criminal: UK 

This show is what opened my eyes to what an amazing craft directing is.  Everything happens in an interrogation booth but the acting and directing is so good you don’t get bored for a single minute and the cases are excellent as well.

1. Do you remember the episode/scene/chapter that you first started shipping 5?

Dude I got into the series late, so Tumblr had already ruined me. I went in to episode one already shipping them.

2. Have you ever read a fan fiction about 2?

Honestly, I don’t think I’ve read any TMA fanfics.

3. Has a picture of 4 ever been your screen saver/profile picture/tumblr ID?

Nah.

4. If 3 were to suddenly break up today, what would your reaction be?

Oh they aren’t and realistically never will be canon, they’re more of a comfort ship of two people who desperately need affection that I can project aspects of myself on to (namely, the needing affection and being old and tired parts).

5. Why is 1 so important?

They’re two main characters and both are canonically queer. One is a fat Mexican man who is no longer treated as a background comedy character as he’s grown so much through the series. Their relationship is the crux of both of their character developments (though arguably Guillermo could still have a lot of his development without Nandor, a lot of what he does comes down to his affection for and need to protect Nandor; Nandor’s development, on the other hand, has to do a lot with his interpersonal relationships). Their relationship is AT LEAST a canonically one-sided romance with the sincere possibility of it being requited (”it’s requited, they’re just idiots” is the best phrase I’ve heard to describe them), and this is on a mainstream, primetime show. And, may I reiterate, canonically queer main characters on a primetime show, one of which is a fat POC. I love some representation, dudes. I just... I f*ing love this ship. TV couldn’t dream of having this canon even a few years ago, let alone a decade.

6. Is 4 a funny ship or a serious ship?

Serious, I’d think. Ardeth is a pretty serious man, lol. I definitely don’t ship it as a crack ship though, if that’s what you’re asking.

7. Out of all your ships listed, which ship has the most chemistry?

Fuck, right now I’d say Nandermo or Bubbleline. I’d argue that most of the ships I ship have chemistry, but of those two ships, in one the actors have incredible chemistry that they bring on camera, and the other has had the time to develop it, especially after dating, breaking up messily, tentatively becoming friends again, and finally rekindling. Jonmartin ends with good chemistry, but they, lol, did not start the series like that.

8. Of all the ships, which ship has the strongest bond?

Again, Bubbleline has had the time to develop that bond. Otherwise, Jonmartin because it developed through surviving and relying on one another through life or death situations. Nandermo could be up there if they’d stop being idiots and, ya know, let themselves bond.

9. How many times have you read/watched 2’s fandom?

Listened through in its entirety once, but have gone back and listened to ship-related episodes multiple times.

10. Which ship lasted the longest?

Bubbleline, considering how old they both are and that the series is soooooo friggin long.

11. How many times, if ever, has 5 broken up?

Once.

12.  If the world was suddenly thrust into a zombie apocalypse, which ship would make it out alive, 1 or 3?

Lol, both, I’d think. Though by now I think Guillermo has had enough with zombies.

13. Did 4 ever have to hide their relationship for any reason?

They definitely aren’t canon, but I would think they’d try to hide their relationship and Evie would find out because she’s smart and good at reading her brother. Jonathan spending so much time in Egypt or Ardeth appearing in Britain without there being an apocalypse would probably be a big hint.

14. Is 5 still together?

Yep.

15. Is 1 canon?

Ask that question again after tonight’s episode! Guillermo does canonically have feelings for Nandor, and from spoilers I’ve read concerning tonight’s episode, I think Nandor admits that he “has affection” for Guillermo as well. Ugh I am legit vibrating with anticipation. Less than eight hours to go.

16. If all five ships were put into a couple’s Hunger Games, which couple would win?

Don’t you dare make me choose between my children.

17. Has anyone ever tried to sabotage 5’s ship?

They broke up and dated other people in the interim, so sabotage isn’t really the right word.

18. Which ship(s) would you defend to the death and beyond?

Any of them. Fight me. I am small and currently pent up with violence.

19. Have you ever spent hours a day going through 3’s tumblr page?

Oh yeah. Spent hours writing fanfics for them, too.

20. If an evil witch descended from the sky and told you that you had to pick one of the five ships to break up forever, which ship would you sink?

Probably one of the ones that isn’t canon in any way. Or, another option, fight the witch. Have homoerotic close-quarters combat with the witch. Date the witch. Now my ships are intact and I have a witchy girlfriend.

Episode 4 - watched 

As always, I knew what to expect, spoilers don’t scare impatient people like me.

But since someone prefers to enjoy the show in a healthy spoiler-free way, don’t read below if you haven’t watched it yet: MAJOR SPOILERS

Alright, this is gonna be dramatic as hell, I warn you. 

What to say, things are going bad but I’d lie if I said I didn’t expect it. 

This episode is the necessary turning point after what happened in episode 3, you start with a “this can’t be worse” feeling, rock bottom is hit. But in a few minutes you’re already proven wrong and going on you realize the only thing without a limit is the lowest point of this story.

Seems like any character is aimed to fall into the deepest darkness possible, and the atmosphere is brilliantly studied to convey so. A lot of cold dark scenes in which your eyes are stroken by red elements. If the art academy thaught me right, all this screams danger and death. You feel trapped. And manaced. 

Everything is proceeding alarmingly wrong; thanks to the amazing direction, you’re actually overcome by the feeling things are slowly and inevitably going out of control. And the fact we unfortunately know where history lead in those years... well, saying it’s disturbing to watch some scenes is reductive. You are painfully aware some things can’t be fixed, and these things are the worst.

Don’t know how you felt at the end, but when Tommy is told he’s going to die in a few months I kinda felt relieved for him, like... at least he’ll be spared from the gruesome things that the world is witnessing in the following years. For a character like him, there’s no other way out than death. (At least, if no radical change is on schedule) 

I’m pretty sure this is exactly what the direction wanted us to think, weighing us with the same sense of exaustion, unbareable rythms, gloomy suffocating scenes and no light in sight. 

And this is also why I think Tommy could either survive his illness and have to march on some more or die with it consuming him to the point you f***ing pray for this to finish. So, Ruby’s much discussed presence in episode 6 could be her finally welcoming him “on the other side” or saying “not yet, not yet...”. 

Oh, I might be wrong, of course. Maybe SK wants to surprise us with a not-expected-anymore “good” ending. Everything is possible even if I DON’T THINK SO. 

Aaaah gods, this all is so diturbing... This show is a masterpiece and no one will ever be able to convince me otherwise.

As I said before, I’m NOT a sensitive person AT ALL, you’d have to shot me to make me falter before a good movie... But this series is actually destroying me as no fiction has done before. 

It's a f***ing masterpiece. 

I don’t know what to think, SK seems to be more on the realistic side this time, so not sure he’s going to show us something very theatrical... but remember this is still a fiction, even if an historical one, so dramatic choices are possible. Hey, guys. I was gonna post my reaction/commentary/thoughts on the first episode on Falcon & The Winter Soldier, but I couldn’t because I had work early and I watched it with my friend the next day. But, I’ll be back to posting them for the rest of the episodes, and I’ll give my brief thoughts on episode 1 here, so *SPOILERS!*

- The beginning action scenes were really cool to see. I liked Sam in the MCU and I liked seeing him getting his own moments as the Falcon by himself. It shows that he’s a capable fighter, but even he struggles. But, he’s able to keep going and keep trying. My favourite part is when he suddenly shows up in the helicopter and is like “’Sup”. I don’t know why, but I found it pretty funny.

- I like the new costume and the new wings, because it closely resembles more of his comic book costume. With Redwing, I found it odd at first that it was a droid, when it was an actual falcon in the comics. But, I’d understand that having Redwing as a droid would make sense, because having a falcon would be risky to have in battle. At least, I think that’s what the reason is for the change. But, I still like Redwing.

- Seeing Sam’s family was cool. There’s some tension between him and his sister, which I hope things will work out between them. There’s this subplot in the episode of him trying to keep his family’s boat, which could continue later in future episodes.

- Flag Smashers. I’m curious, but I’m not sure what to make of them just yet. They seem to believe that it was better when the snap happened, but I don’t know why. However, considering how chaotic it was when everyone came back in Wandavision, and now people who’re gone for 5 years don’t even get any income and bank loans are even harder to get, maybe those are some of the reasons why? 

- Also, we know that they’re a terrorist group, and they have their own app??? Just to gain more followers and use them to cause commotions so that they can commit their crimes, I guess. But, the guy that this Torres character (the one that was with Sam at the beginning, who apparently takes the Falcon mantle in the comics when Sam was Captain America at the time) tried to stop....is he an enhanced? Like another super soldier-like being like Bucky or the 5 evil super soldiers that Hydra used to keep back in Civil War?

- Bucky is such an awkward guy, I don’t know why but I love it. And, he’s getting therapy, and trying to redeem himself from all the bad things he did as the Winter Soldier, which I liked seeing. The therapy scene was not what I expected though. Like this therapist comes off as tough, but maybe someone like that is needed? I don’t know. Don’t know why Bucky’s ignoring Sam’s calls. Like, I know that they butt heads, but Sam’s a councilor for Vets dealing with PTSD. He could be really helpful to him. Anyway, what hurts though is that he befriended an old man, which I thought was sweet. But, NOPE! He was the father of this guy from the Winter Soldier flashback that Bucky killed. That.....HUUUUUURRRRT!!! Like the moment the father talked about his son, and remembered the guy that Winter Soldier killed in the flashback, I put two and two together and was like “OH S**T! NOOOOOOO!” Also, that date was cute yet awkward at the same time. Had to leave in the middle of it to talk with the father, but he couldn’t do it. I don’t know how he’ll react to Bucky if he finds out the truth, but that’s gonna be something that I’ll dread if it happens.

- RHODEY! Good to see him, and I like that he and Sam are still friends. Especially since the events of Civil War.

- According to the wiki, this show takes place 6 months after Endgame, so this is between Wandavision and Far From Home.

- Steve. At first, I thought that he died and Sam’s going to his funeral, but for all we know, he could still be alive in this timeline or went back to his own. But, it seems that the world thinks that he’s dead. Anyway, it was actually going to give the shield to the museum to put on the Captain America display. I had a feeling that the show would play into Sam doubting himself on taking the Captain America mantle, but I feel like he deserves it. Steve gave Sam the shield for a reason, and that Sam is a good person. I know he’ll get the shield back, eventually, and in the end, he’ll become Captain America. But, considering what happens in the end, he shouldn’t have given up the shield, which leads to the next point.

- F***ING GOVERNMENT AGENCIES!!! They wanted Sam to give the shield up for a museum display, but that one guy just took it and gave it to their own Captain America?! First Hayward taking Vision’s body and wanting to use it for his own intentions, and now this other guy taking the shield and using it for his own intentions! So, this is how John Walker AKA US Agent is introduced into the MCU, and wow, they did a good job casting someone who has a smug, cocky face that make you wanna punch him. Okay, I can’t really judge the character just yet, because not a lot has been shown about him so far. But, I get the feeling that I’m gonna hate him, or hate him at first then feel sorry for him. Probably the former. But, still, WHAT THE HELL?! This is going against Steve’s wishes! Steve gave Sam the shield for a reason! I get why he gave it to the government, but he should’ve kept it! Plus, this would mean that they lied to Sam about what they wanted to do with the shield, but it doesn’t matter because it belongs to them now. This is some BS. >:(
