it's a pet peeve of mine when ppl frame Andrew as hating Aaron and being needlessly cruel to him... bc while yes, their relationship is fractured and strained, Andrew genuinely cares about his brother and wants the best for him, he just doesn't know how to show that in a normal way.
like he might not know how to express it in a healthy manner but Andrew LOVES Aaron, like he truly just wants Aaron to be healthy and safe. It's like, his whole Thing. Aaron is one of the most important people in his life. Andrew wants him around. He'd do anything to protect him.
I guarantee Andrew wants to be emotionally close to Aaron too, he just doesn't have the tools to do that and the thought of letting someone in terrifies him. He also has no concept of what a healthy sibling relationship looks like, so he has no frame of reference to work from.
jack crawford is a better man than i am. if one of my employees said to my face admitting that he contacted a fickle and dangerous serial killer minutes before their arrest, escalating the situation and thereby causing the death of a civilian and near-death grievous injuries to me and another colleague, i would not have sighed dejectedly and just tried to ask for his help for a new case. i would have put his ass in jail for good this time. for not exploring his latent bisexual revelations on someone safer.
i am of the intense opinion that none of the nations are good people. i mean this in the most sincere way; they're manipulative, they're assholes, they're cold, cruel and heartless and every label in between. they're not outright, evil villain llike bad people but in a more subtle way, the same way they could look at cruelty and injustice and look the other way. they are very much enablers in a sense. what i do think is that they weren't this way to begin with. perhaps if the world had been kinder to them then maybe they would have been kinder to the world. honestly, i dont even think they are trying to be bad people. they're just fucking tired.
In Bridget's arcade mode story in Strive when she gets to Ky her first remark is "Oh... You changed your hair" and considering Ky looked like this in Xrd
I like to imagine that she thought Ky was also a woman and was that's why she was seeking him out specifically
me when my attempts to tear down a system that is built off of violence and grabs for power stem from a place of disgust and overwhelming guilt despite my best intentions and instead continue to perpetuate the cycle of violence in a bloody attempt to instate peace
In his world things are much brutal at the trolls tree, as in tge bergebs dont have a trollstice, they eat trolls whebecer they wish at any quantity they wish so its mjch more dangerous
That led to trolls greying mkre than the usual, but tha led to a discovery
You see grey trolls dont bring happiness when eaten which leads to bergens not wanting them, and JD managed to discover that via observing how bergens just never pick the grey ones
So he, tge eldest of his brothers and the one tasked of protecting them ever since grandma got eaten, came up with a plan, its not a pretty plan but its a plan, and it will garantee the lives of his brothers
He became a dick
The biggest asshole to his brothers, I'd go as far as saying he's abusive to them
He needed to, he had to, he needed to make them grey, no matter what, he needed to keep them alive
And it does work, his bros go grey, but whatever bond they had is severed, they hate his guts, and they all turned out bitter and full of resentment
They resent him
But you know what? Who cares right? As long as it kees his brothers off of a bergen's menue then he certainly doesn't
Thinking thoughts abt Sugar ... I think it’s interesting to imagine Sugar having good intentions for Emmet more or less from the start but being somewhat misguided in attempting to take care of him.. Like natural zoroark instincts = lie & shapeshift to reach your goals --> lightly manipulate your trainer to get him to cooperate with you without fully even comprehending what you’re saying --> accidentally inflict psychological damage on your human
