no wait now that i remember i gotta bring it up again, the fckg dodo on youtube is uwu-fying every interaction with animals and it's setting people up to view animals that way too, as proven by the comments. There is that one particular video about a rescued baby badger and a woman trying to raise it (starting a wildlife center and all that) but can't actually release the animal bc it fckg imprinted on her and the comments are full of people pissed off about the fact that she is being criticized ala 'why do you bave to be so cranky?' and so on. A 'wildlife center' should not give wild animals fckg bubble baths, that's why.

I was looking for pictures to use for my presentation today and came across a Dodo article about how SeaWorld trainers drink killer whale milk.
I wish I were joking.

{not my video.} this. is NOT cute. or funny. at. all.
parents, either control your kids or put them on a leash if you can’t. I’m serious. you think it’s okay to let your kid go and just hit an animal like this??? it’s not. and you know what angers me even more than seeing your child abuse an animal? that if this poor dog were to rightfully defend himself and attack, because some random brat kept hitting him, he’d get put to sleep. and if this were the case here, I wouldn’t feel sorry for the damn kid, but I’d feel sorry for this beautiful, well-behaved animal. and I’m mad because it’d happened before, again and again, where a parent failed to teach their child to behave and said child went to abuse a dog and then the dog defended himself and attacked, and the one that got put down was the dog when all he did was defend himself from some brat who. attacked. him. first.
I’m glad this isn’t the case in this specific video because it would break my heart to see another good boy (the dog) get put down because of a brat and its parents who failed to keep their goddamn child from being an animal abuser.
this. is. not. okay.
the one that should be on a leash in this case is not the dog.
I’m not even sorry if I’m being rude here. it’s not okay for you as a parent to let your child hit an animal like this and think it’s oh-so cute then if said animal were to defend themself and attack back, they would be seen as an ‘aggressive animal’ and got put down.
if I see your child do this to my dog — or any other animal — believe me I will not stand by and do nothing.
either teach your kids to be kind and respectful to animals or put them on a leash if you can’t. or, better, use a condom.

Snively mood with some comic redraws
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Took me a while to get Snively to look good enough in my style, and Robotnik too
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
However I still feel like I wasn’t making him justice unless I drew him closest to his SatAM design

Some other non-sonic doodles doe

I also can’t believe no one’s done Snively for SRB2 Kart, so I’ve been making it myself (I’m no sprite artist but at least it’s something)
Tumblr media
And finally, a fun fact: in Iberian Spanish Robotnik was dubbed in all the 90′s shows by Carlos Revilla, best known as Homer Simpson and I love how Ivo sounds just like a serious Homer. Meanwhile Snively’s VA would go on to voice Mike Ehrmantraut in Breaking Bad, how bald

Christmas at The White House with Willow Biden | The Dodo
I love that the Bidens have a “first cat”!
I also have no idea how they stopped Willow from attacking all the trees and ornaments in the White House. I picture lots of staff running around all day stopping her in mid leap. 😱🐈🎄😁

The Dodo for my Limited edition artist series bottles for Rabbit Hole Distillery. I reimagined Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland characters in a sort of Steam Punk vehicle riding world. Alice is all grown up and tatted with Dinah as co-pilot in the front. The Dodo, (who was a metaphor for politicians) has a Boss Tweed type driver atop his destructive steel behemoth. The Caterpillar has emerged from his cocoon even more twee and affectatious than before and flies away in a puff of hookah smoke. Will Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum ever make it out of the forest while working against their own interests? The Queen’s Card Guardsman patrols the night skies. The Queen of Hearts is imposing on her half flamingo-half machine. “Dareringer” is single barrel cask strength Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks at 118 proof and luckily is my favorite of all their offerings. Available at select retailers in South Carolina and Texas. Posters, T-shirts, and stickers are also available. This was an incredible amount of work conceptualizing and designing and redesigning these characters and backgrounds. Alice in wonderland is beloved and has been reimagined so many times it took so long to develop something new. We had several half starts and reworks but in the end it was worth it, the bottles are beautifully printed and even have spot gloss embossing on the art. Time for me to go have 2 or 3 (or 4) fingers, Cheers! (also there will be more posts with behind the scenes and details stay tuned). See more of this project on my website

This is a Dodo video, but I'm really curious about what's happening here and if it's safe for the animals. Is it normal for wild salamanders to crawl into someone's hand like that?
https://youtu.be/LRfKQOD_aRM
Link for everyone!
As with everything from The Dodo, this gets a NOT CUTE rating from me. When consuming their content, it's super important to be aware that they're a channel that anthropomorphizes animals to the extreme. For example, this video's captain says that the salamanders are "thanking" this person by climbing into their hand - that's obviously not what's going on here.
It's definitely never safe to handle wild salamanders. Moving their egg sacs to get them back into water can be okay, but it's important to handle them for as short a period as possible. Even though the person in this video does say that they made sure to wash their hands, and they seem aware that handling salamanders can damage the oils in their skin, it's still never okay to pick up and hold wild salamanders unless it's absolutely necessary. There's just no reason for it.
I will say that this person does at least hold the salamanders very respectfully, but there's still no need to be holding them so often. The fact that some salamanders are just climbing right into his hands indicates that they've become used to his presence - habituating wild animals to human contact is NEVER a good thing! It's, like, one of the biggest conservation no-nos.
