“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” is lowkey the most terrifying MCU movie in terms of stakes. Due to what happened to Sinister Strange, even if Wanda succeeded, something would’ve happened where her children rejected her or something equally as horrible happened. And Wanda would’ve tried again…

And again…

And again…until she would’ve caused an incursion. So that universe where everything was fucked up and destroyed, that would’ve happened to the main universe.

That’s why it lowkey kind of annoys me when people try to boil down her motivations to just, “Oh she just wants her kids back”. I mean, yeah, she does…but she’d literally destroy one or two universes doing so.

The Darkhold definitely following the rules of “be careful what you wish for” when it comes to magical items that claim to grant your every wish.

Defending wanda. (or something)

Wanda is always going through something, Death of her parents, pietro dying, killing her lover. Many times. Seeing her children die, being in a reality she didn’t even realize she created. Having the guilt of that in her. Having the guilt of almost killing a child because she needed her family or comfort. Yet she knew she had to die so they can be safe. So the whole universe could be safe. Wanda is honestly effed up, i’ll admit that but she did all of that because of grief and not having anyone by her side. Grief is different for everyone and such. Wanda doesn’t deserve what she went through or the backlash she is receiving. I don’t know where i’m going with this, maybe i just needed to talk about wanda and her things.

honestly idk if this is just me but this show seems to make it kind of ambiguous as to whether or not the darkhold DIRECTLY corrupts the reader.

i think it can be interpreted as the darkhold simply showing the reader a very direct way to get what they want. and the show is saying that this ease of access to your deepest desire is what causes the "corruption" we see in characters like Radcliffe.

i am mostly a dc or indie reader when it comes to comic books so i honestly know nothing about the mystical side of marvel. which means i have no idea what the darkhold ACTUALLY does but to me this sort of ambiguous approach is insanely compelling.

Then continue I shall! This part is shorter but there’s probably going to be several more parts if people are interested.

part 1

Wanda started performing the spell that would keep Y/N safe. She hadn’t worked this hard to keep her just to lose her to Dr. Strange of all people. Red energy swirled around her as graves around the world began to open up, its inhabitants crawling out and heading to Wanda’s towering cabin. The undead army surrounded the cabin’s foundation, preparing to obey the Scarlet Witch’s every command. Wanda flew out the front door of the cabin and landed in front of her army.

“Listen,” she said, “The sorcerer is probably on his way right now to take Y/N away from me. See to it that this doesn’t happen. Protect Y/N at all costs.”

A chorus of grunts and shouts erupted from the army. Satisfied, Wanda stood at the front and waited for the inevitable confrontation.

…

“Let me get this straight,” Wong started, “you want me, the Sorcerer Supreme, to drop everything I’m doing… to rescue one girl?”

“Wanda has her under some kind of spell, Wong, one that only the Sorcerer Supreme can break.” Dr. Strange argued.

There was a long pause.

“…Fine,” Wong sighed, “let’s get this over with.”

…

Wanda watched as the two sorcerers appeared on the horizon.

“Here they come,” Wanda said, “be ready.”

Wanda’s army began to advance. No sooner had Wanda taken a step that her surroundings became inverted and distorted. The undead army looked around in bewilderment. Wanda tilted her head to one side. So that was how Strange was going to play? Wanda stretched out her hand at the mirror wall; her hand passed through the wall as though it were made of water. Wanda smiled; two can play at this game.

…

Y/N looked up from the book she was reading when she heard the sound of sparks. She stared at her bedroom doorway to see a yellow sparks forming some kind of portal. The strange man from before stepped through the portal and into her room. This time, he was accompanied by another man dressed in similar robes.

“C-can I help you?” Y/N asked.

“Y/N Y/L/N,” the second man said, “we’re here to rescue you. Please come with us.”

“Rescue me?” Y/N asked. She pointed to the strange man in blue robes, “you’re the one my mom warned me about. I’m not going anywhere with either of you!”

“If you don’t come with us, Y/N, we’ll have to take you by force,” the strange man said.

Y/N summoned her own power.

“Just you try,” she growled.

The strange man sighed and gave the other man a tired look. The other man nodded and shot out a glowing, yellow rope. It snagged Y/N’s waist and dragged her forward. Y/N threw a beam of ice at the intruders, which they blocked with magic shields. They had almost dragged Y/N through the portal when something caught her eye. Wanda was standing inside her floor-length mirror.

“Mom!?” Y/N exclaimed.

Wanda climbed out of the mirror and into Y/N’s bedroom.

“Let Y/N go now.” Wanda said.

“Not until you release her mind,” the second man countered.

Wanda charged up her magic, her eyes glowing red.

“Time to go,” The second man said, dragging Y/N the rest of the way through the portal.

“Mom!” Y/N cried.

The portal closed before Wanda could get through. The glowing yellow rope around Y/N’s waist dissipated. Y/N got a look at her surroundings. She was in some kind of ancient building.

“Welcome to Kamar-Taj,” the strange man said, “now let’s see about fixing your mind.”

…

Wanda stepped outside her cabin and felt around for the mirror dimension. She cracked it open with a blast of magic, releasing her army from the mirrored prison. The army stumbled out of the cracks, then stood at attention to await the Scarlet Witch’s orders.

“Prepare to leave,” Wanda said, “we’re getting my Y/N back.”

In WandaVision Episode 8 "Previously On" Wanda says this line to comfort Pietro and herself.

And we now how WandaVision Finale ends.

Instead of

"At the end of the episode, you realize it was all a bad dream(nightmare). None of it was real."

It is more like

"At the end of the episode, you realize it was all a dream. None of it was real. And the nightmare begins."

And in Multiverse of Madness she says

Every night, the same dream. And every morning... the same nightmare.

Just like WandaVision.

The hopefull little Wanda, who searches for the light, is trapped in the rubble and now she is just convinced that she won't have a happy ending. And all she has are her dreams.

🌑▫️🌒▫️🌓▫️🌔▫️🌕▫️🌖▫️🌗▫️🌘

"At the end of the episode, you realize it was all a bad dream. None of it was real."

So every night she falls asleep, the episode ends and she realizes it was all a bad dream. That none of it was real. And every morning the exact opposite happens for her.

Idea for a MCU straight-to-Disney+ (and limited theatrical release) movie:

“The Tales of Suspense” (named after the Marvel comic series).

As Marvel’s version of “Tales from the Crypt”, this would be a horror anthology movie made up of three different horror films all set in the MCU. The films are connected by transition segments featuring the host, Nightmare. Nightmare’s role is mainly talking to the audience about what to expect for each movie, just like the Cryptkeeper or the Curator from “The Dark Pictures Anthology” games.

The three films are:

1) Werewolf by Night (the same Halloween special, just now part of a bigger movie) - 53 minutes runtime

2) The Darkhold: A found footage (Paranormal Activity) film about a group of college students who find and read segments from the Darkhold, unleashing some of the book’s horrors. This movie is set before the events of “WandaVision”. - 40-50 minute runtime

3) A Mysterious Fog: A psychological horror film about a group of Stark Industry scientists developing the illusion tech that Mysterio will eventually use. As the movie progresses, the more the scientists start to lose their grip on reality as they start to question what’s real and what’s illusion. Expects lots of “imaginary” monsters and trippy visuals in this one. - 40-50 minute runtime

I had this theory for a while in my mind, and I'm sure I saw it somewhere but I can't remember where.

But, with the relatively recent "confirmation" (which is actually doesn't feel like a confirmation at all) that 616 Scarlet Witch is dead is making me believe it.

Basically, in this scene by the end of the movie:

I think our Wanda took her chance, her last one, and imprisoned her variant from 838 in her own body. Kind of how she did with Agatha.

And the one dead... Is actually the variant, or Wanda 838, however you wanna call her.

I mean, it would be cool to have a scene where she is just chillng with Billie and Tommy and possibly Vision, and all of a sudden her eyes glow red because the Multiverse started branching (aka HWR was stabbed).

In any case, I think her character has too much potential and popularity to be disposed of and not appear in future projects. So, they'll have to find a way to bring her back (if they care at all about what the fans have to say lol)
