Kit Klarenberg reporting on a new far-reaching investigation on the CIA's twisted MK Ultra program and its experiments on people of color in the United States.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Answers and accountability is something we'll never get under the Capitalist system, because the Capitalist Class cannot allow any precedent set that allows for holding members of the Capitalist Class accountable for any kind of actions they take, regardless of the harm caused. And in this case, an unprecedented amount of harm was done to Left movements within the communities of people of color in the US as the CIA attempted to use mind control methods to suppress communities of color from organizing radical political organizations.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How sick do you have to be to use political prisoners to experiment with mind control methods? Our Wall Street sponsored Government has NO ethical or moral boundaries they aren't willing to violate to retain their power and control.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Our Capitalist Elites biggest fear is organized resistance to Capitalist control and Revolutionary Socialist movements. By labeling followers of anti-Capitalist organizations and ideologies as mentally ill, our government used this as a Medical excuse to experiment on, harm and suppress Anti-Capitalist groups and communities of color, ravaging those movements and their ability to affect policy as they had begun to do in the 1960's.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"The darkness of MKULTRA lingers still, calling for urgent answers and transparency. America’s Black community deserves nothing less than the full extent of these operations exposed; culprits held accountable, and rightful compensation for survivors. As the shadows of the past stretch into the present, the demand for truth rings louder than ever, and justice becomes an undeniable imperative."
Couldn't have said it better myself. Major thanks to Anthropologist Orisanmi Burton for publishing this incredibly dark report, and Truthout and MPN for reporting on it.

I am getting absolutely exhausted of people who think that because the CIA was into some weird woo woo shit, means that it was all totally real. Like, people desperately need to understand that two things can be simultaneously true: the CIA was always up to nefarious purposes, and there were a bunch of people in it who got caught up in pseudoscientific fads. Like it might shock some folks out there to learn that government organizations are staffed and run by people, and people sometimes believe in ridiculous shit, or at least believe it's worth a try.

OH WE LOVE THE CIA
Tumblr media
art based of this guy's silly lore!!! Nights here can see the future!!! but only when really fucked up things happen!!! he gets context for why things happen so he kind of takes it upon himself to intervene early on, which mainly takes the form of doing little things that alter the future enough so these things don't happen (butterfly effect moment😳) but sometimes that just. doesn't work and the only other option is kicking someone's shit in (good thing he likes kicking people's shit in) im severely autistic about him

The author's bio is a treat:
Charles S. Faddis served for 20 years as an operations officer in the Central Intelligence Agency, including as a department chief at the CIA’s Counterterrorism Center and as a chief of station in the Middle East. He earned his B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and his J.D. from the University of Maryland Law School. He is the author of several books, including Willful Neglect: The Dangerous Illusion of Homeland Security and Beyond Repair: The Decline and Fall of the CIA.
I wonder what he identifies as the failures of the CIA? Let's see:
The CIA had no sources inside Al Qaeda to tell us about the 9/11 plot.
The CIA didn't immediately attribute COVID-19, known to be descended from bat-borne coronaviruses, to the bat coronavirus gain-of-function research in the Wuhan lab.
Bureaucracy and a risk-averse culture.
Loss of skills, but also loss of mystique: "The people who run our government [...] have done their best to turn the CIA into just another federal agency. [...] We act as if anyone can be taught to conduct espionage—as if this is no longer an arcane craft to be practiced by a select group of unique people."
"The CIA has proved unable to put a source inside a Chinese bio lab, within the leadership structure of the Taliban, or next to Vladimir Putin."
The CIA has been politicized: backing Hillary Clinton in the Benghazi inquiries, aiding the Trump dossier investigation, and former intelligence officers decrying the Hunter Biden laptop as Russian propaganda.
The first point is transparently false; read the 9/11 Report and you will learn that the CIA had "real-time intelligence" on Bin Laden as early as 1996, with a plan to capture the known terrorist financier in place by the fall of 1997. That Bin Laden was planning to hijack civilian airliners was known as early as 1998.
The second point is still a matter of contention.
The third point is true of every part of government, but is especially true in international politics, geez.
The fourth point makes Charles Faddis sound like he's been reading too many spy novels where there's no risk of war from getting found out.
The fifth point is false as to Al Qaeda and laughable as to Putin. And if the CIA had any assets in Wuhan, their existence would be so totally classified that the CIA would hesitate to use their information in public, because the CIA prefers to not have its spies tortured and executed.
The sixth point reads like the seething cope of a man whose ideology is opposed by the Deep State, whether or not his facts are right. It is incredibly ironic that he complains that the CIA, which historically reported only to the President, was a political tool of the presidential administration of a Democrat.
So what does he identify as solutions?
Fire a lot of people.
"Recruiting must be completely revamped. Quotas are absurd. Focusing on color, gender, and sexual orientation is at best irrelevant. We want the best, and that means those people who possess the unique blend of skills and abilities that enable them to do what everyone else considers impossible."
Make training tougher.
Flatten the org chart and make it all about ops, not about analysis or support.
... for a man complaining that the CIA wasn't able to put spies in specific locations, he seems awfully invested in removing the ability of the CIA to recruit people who will blend in in those locations due to their color, gender, and sexual orientation.

Song of the day #2
the CIA by Glass Beach
Absolutely brilliant song about the relationship between a citizen and the government/a CIA agent that's watching them. I'm listening to the album on repeat at the moment because it's all just so good, I definitely recommend that if you give this song a listen you try the whole album.

I HAVE A THEORY
I’m gonna call it the Jackson polluck effect .
So during the Cold War the cia decided to sponser American art to tour Europe and be put in museums, and specifically chose paintings like Jackson pollucks to emphasize the freedom of America and contrast with the art popular in Soviet Russia. (Not strictly hyper realism but t had people places and things not just abstract)
Now Jackson polluck was, to put it simply, a severely mentally ill man, and also an asshole, and him being mentally ill does not excuse his asshole behavior. He is assumed to be bipolar and known to have used both art and alcohol to cope. His art was revolutionary to the modern art world.
The CIA used his very chaotic paintings to show off how “free” America was compared to the “strict” art of the Russians, but too often Americans and American propaganda pushes freedom to such an extent that it becomes chaotic, dangerous, and harmful? Just as Jackson Pollucks paintings on the surface were cool but when you see what thought patterns caused them it’s actually kinda fucked up? I am an anarcho-communist but I feel there’s a difference between actual freedom and the kind present in America.
An example of the Jackson Polluck effect would be when influencers online repeatedly tell viewers that men don’t have emotions and are strong tough money machines. Sure its a nice power fantasy to believe in if you’re insecure, but that pattern of thinking will only hurt you and the people you love, while benefiting people who profit off of you being lonely and insecure and willing to work yourself to the bone for megar pay because “it’s manly”. I feel the Jackson polluck effect is extremely present in American propaganda.

Declassified files expose British role in NATO’s Gladio terror armies - The Grayzone
The British Government recently released a trove of declassified documents relating to UK involvement with the CIA on Operation Gladio, a Fascist stay-behind proxy-Army formed and organized by the CIA in Italy during US occupation in the late 1940's using Fascist Partisans.
More than just an ordinary proxy-Army, Operation Gladio connected right-wing political figures, diplomats, bureaucrats, and high-ranking military figures with Fascist Partisans and willing dupes to form a network of spies, saboteurs, assassins, terrorist cells, and armies skilled in guerilla warfare.
Some of the members and their network of spies, assassins and saboteurs went on to serve in major positions of power for decades to come, enacting Far Right-wing policy, serving and supporting the interests of the United States, EU, NATO and Wall Street.
Tumblr media
Operation Gladio became the framework for covert operations by which the US covertly controlled political outcomes in key European and Asian Nations post-WWII.
This network could both manipulate key political outcomes, as well as form a defensive network against any potential invasion and occupation by the USSR.
Tumblr media
And Gladio was no joke. These Fascists were responsible for dozens of acts of terrorism in Italy against Leftists as well as ordinary civilians in False Flag attacks aimed at turning the Public against the Italian Left. They would literally pose as Communists, Socialists and Anarchists before committing terrorist attacks against civilians. In this way they could shape public perceptions of the Communist Party and its leadership.
Tumblr media
In light of Operation Gladio becoming public knowledge in the early 1990's, even the European Parliament had to condemn the actions of the US, UK and NATO for its human rights violations, political interference, terrorist and false flag attacks.
Tumblr media
All of this raises the questions around Western countries activities in Ukraine going back to 2014 and the Euromaidan coup. We know, for instance, the CIA very much continued to support, arm and train secretly the OUN and other Banderite Nationalist and Nazi organizations after WWII.
Did that support turn into a Gadio-style operation that succeeded in overturning the democratically elected Government of Ukraine for being too pro-Russia in 2014? The evidence suggests it did.
Tumblr media
That's according to Kit Klarenberg's exceptional reporting in The Grayzone in November of last year in which he obtained documents from a UK Private Military contractor named Prevail Partners that was recruited and tasked with organizing a Gladio-inspired Operation.
Operation Gladio clearly lives on in modern (mostly Privatized) Operations handed off to Military Contractors by the CIA.
No country with this kind of operation occurring in its borders by a foreign Imperialist power, whether organized by the CIA or a Private Military contractor, can be said to have sovereignty. And without sovereignty, everything else is meaningless. You have no control over your government or its policies, you are no more than a proxy for Imperialism.
