One of my biggest pet peeves in the MH fandom is when people complain about new gen MH games....and then suggest that Capcom bring back some of the worst mechanics imaginable to make it "good" again.

Like...sir, you WANT small monsters to go back to constantly attacking you when hunting a larger monster? You WANT to go back to grinding for several hours before you even get to the hunting? You WANT to go back to a slow, aggravating style of gameplay that just kicks you in the face and doesn't let up until you rage quit from the stress?

Why do you want the games to be worse? I've never understood it.

MHW and MHRise aren't easy games, nor are they """""casualized.""""" This is just what a properly balanced MH game SHOULD look like. One that gives you the tools you need WITHOUT artificially inflating the difficulty with bullshit. One that gives you more options to overcome an obstacle other than "git gud scrub."

Frustrating the player to the point of a rage quit isn't fun. And I say this as someone who STARTED with old gen MH, poured well over 300+ hours into old gen, loved them, and STILL prefers the new gen games after all that. I love MH4U, but MHW is just better designed.

I would like to enjoy hunting monsters, not getting my teeth kicked in because the game decided my 0.2 second IFrame dodgeroll wasn't preformed at the right picosecond.

For one, it's this fandom's constant clashing about a fictional British man named Arthur Kirkland.

This fandom is so busy pushing societal norms onto fictional characters they're too busy to recognize how many people they hurt doing that. And I mean genuinely hurt. Some empathy in this fandom would make it a lot better, you know. Like I have seen borderline terf shit (and actual terf shit) from how badly people hate feminine Arthur.

What is so wrong with him being feminine and wearing cute shit? Or making him a bottom or something? What's wrong with making him an old, masculine man who's a bad father? What's wrong with making him a lonely pathetic man who is sensitive? What's wrong with making him a hip trans man who likes anarchy and punk?
