In an attempt to attract more kalego simps to the m!lk simps discord server, here is a little thing I managed to write from my kalego x oc fic that im calling All Cacti Bloom Flowers. This peice originally came about in congregation with @snippychicke in this post (snippy wrote their own lil oneshot in there too i reccomend checking it out) thru our reblogs. But here it is again, bc I'm currently the only kalego simp in the server

What started out as occasional bafflement at your actions, swiftly yet slowly grew into agitation at the extent of which you make him feel these.... soft feelings. As the guard dog of babalis, a member of the Naberious clan, and an esteemed teacher, he has little to no experience with such things. he didn't know what to do about it all, and lately the effect you have on him has become far too meddlesome. Thats when he decided to confront Balam with this situation.

In addition to holding an interest in the school system at babalis, you had also grown fairly close with Balam - often times meeting up with him to talk about imaginary creatures, evolution, and other shared interests. Thats why Kalego thought he would be the best demon to talk to about this - that and Balam being the least likely to further irritate him with his reaction to the situation at hand like Opera or the other babalis staff would.

Balam let him vent about how troublesome your effect is, how its been affecting his train of thoughts often and frustrates him beyond end. Surely your behaviour was unusual enough to warrant some level of suspicion, and surely Kalego was not the only one being affected by you - if not to the same extent. But while your behaviour is quite unique and has had certain affects on other people, the reality was not as Kalego hoped.

“It appears to me this whole thing is starting to affect your evil cycle,” Balam started once Kalego had finished with the brunt of it.

“Indeed. That’s why I’ve come to you looking for an answer on what to do about it.” He responds, still a bit riled up from talking about it all.

“Well, I think the better question is, outside of the obvious stuff like affecting your evil cycle and train of thoughts, why do these feelings upset you so much?”

This statement Balam had presented Kalego with caught him off guard. The frustration had in fact, functioned as a wall that stopped him from addressing the core of the issue; which was the fact that you made him feel soft - a feeling that immediately triggers a warning light in his strict guard dog brain. The realization left him clutching at his head and finally taking a seat since coming in.

“…having a more soft-natured relationship with someone doesn’t necessarily make a demon weaker. In fact, it could even make one stronger.” Balam said after a while, allowing his friend to process what was currently running thru his brain. “All cacti bloom flowers.”

Kalego left that night with more thoughts than he bargained for - tho not before running into you. with a stack of papers and books in your arms, you swung around the corner and swiftly stopped yourself just before bumping into Kalego himself, who noticed the way in which you brought yourself to such a quick stop by going up on the balls of your feet and leaning backwards with the grace of a dancer.

“Oh, sorry Kalego. How is your class doing with their new workload so far?” You said, aiming for a conversation revolving around one of your interests (education). But Kalego, having just finished that conversation with Balam, was not ready for an interaction with you.

“Not right now.” He grumbled out, brushing past you.

“oh…sorry” You responded in a soft tone, anxiety starting to form. Kalego is just about always as prickly as a cactus, but your intuition was saying that this was something else; anxiety telling you that you did something wrong. Regardless, you had to give Balam the stack in your hands and thus tried to push it back as you walked into his prep room.

“Hey Balam, Profe Dali asked me to give this stuff to you.” You said, placing it down on the table. As the demon thanked you and began sifting thru the pile, you sat down as the anxiety started flow again.

“…Is something up with Kalego?” You hesitantly asked, fidgeting with the hem of your clothes. Balam looked up from the stack at you questioningly. “I just ran into him on the way here, and my intuition is telling me somethings up is all. I know that, some of the teachers have chosen to avoid telling Robin about the whole Familiar thing, but…. you’d tell me if i did something, right?”

“Well… there are somethings I don’t have the place to tell you about, but I believe that everything will turn out alright, he might just need some time first. try not to worry too much.” Balam says, ruffling your hair with a pat.

The following Monday school was cut short for a special event. The Three Greats organized a Ball every 5 or so years for the teachers and staff of their respective schools; along with anyone else who had a strong interest in working in the field of education and a recommendation to the field by someone already inside of it. The instructors of Babalis were already dedicated enough to work on improving the school for their students outside of work days, sometimes even late at night, but this Ball was a chance for the 3 different schools to commune amongst each other to discuss, learn, and develop new and different ways to improve their respective schools. Bragging and competitions breaking out was not uncommon due to the nature of demons, but the one thing they could all agree on was their duty to protect and take care of the students as they developed.

It just so happened that this year, you were in attendance as Sullivan has recommended you to the field. Your strong interest in joining the same field of work as him did not surprise Kalego, rather your attendance was a bit startling - alto he should have suspected you might show up, what with the Principals wishy-washy attitude. Your appearance tho, thoroughly surprised him. You were wearing a lilac coloured one shoulder dress, with ruffles and a hair style that made you look like a flower. You looked as soft as a petal. The soft feelings swiftly bubbled up again inside of him as he watched you walk around with Sullivan and Opera - but instead of blocking them off with frustration, this time he allowed himself to feel light and fluffy at your appearance. It felt…. nice, calming. Like pruning one of his cacti.

Since his discussion with Balam, Kalego has decided that you were worth getting closer too. Approaching you with Opera and Sullivan next to you though, was not going to happen; Kalego had other people to converse with anyways, so he could wait.

You spent a lot of time at first sticking close to the two demons who had accompanied you, both out of shyness and feeling insecure about your right to be at such an event even with Sullivan’s recommendation into the field. There was also the issue of someone finding out that you are a human, but your dress covered up enough of where a demons wing roots are located and you had spent a lot of time learning about the netherworld and demon ways; Opera and Sullivan even helped teach you how to formally dance just in case. Eventually you got confident enough to wander past your escorts, talking deeply amongst the demons - and once you had found yourself alone searching for Opera and Sullivan to join back up with them, Kalego approached you. The time was now, and he was ready.

Because while most cacti need specific requirements met, all cacti bloom flowers.

i went on a 2 week trip to China in 2019 with my sister and my mom for her work

i've been thinking about it recently so...

here is a list of some of the foods i miss! (for context we were in Kunming for the first week and in the second week we and a few of her clients went to Dali and stayed there for the rest of the trip)

firstly, bayberries. genuinely best fruit. my sister and i loved them so much that the woman who organized my mom's workshop, and was basically our guide, kept buying them for us as a treat.

secondly, Yunnan flower cakes. the food that prompted me to make this list, as i was going down a dessert rabbit hole and suddenly remembered to look them up. pretty good, i don't think my sister liked them very much, but i did.

ok i cannot for the life of me find what this dish was called, but! it was essentially just a bowl of tiny fried shrimp with the shells still on. one of the best things i ate there, very stabby but it added to the experience.

actual genuine milk tea. the stuff in the US is just not as good, at least in my area. i was introduced to milk tea/boba while i was there by my friend, the daughter of the man who owned the place my mom was teaching at. (she was supposed to write us letters to keep in touch, but if she did, we never got them. she also never gave us her address so we were relying on her for this)

in the same vein as the third one, in Dali we got small shrimps on a stick. also very good, and stabby. this one i did actually find a picture for but not an actual name or anything. Dali just had pretty good street food.

unfortunately, i didnt have many opportunities to have a lot of good congee. except for the congee made by Wendy, one of my mom's clients. (i only remember her english name sadly, she had studied english in college and was a better translator than the translator that was hired) i had gotten food poisoning on the last day so, before we went to the airport, she invited us to her apartment and gave me ginger tea and congee. im pretty sure i watched chicken run with her son (who was like 5 or smthing). i believe it was chicken, and it was the best congee i have ever had.

shout out to Chinese dairy queen for actually being good. unlike US dairy queen.

Yunnan rice noodle soup. i almost forgot about it. best noodle soup. like ever. i think about it a lot.

outside our hotel in Kunming, there was a food truck. this food truck sold all types of stuffed bread items. my favorite was, i believe, after strenuous amounts of research, baba. it is basically flat, round, stuffed bread. i think about this a lot too. i think the one we always got was stuffed with pork.

okay so…. THERE IS GRAHAM. big man graham right he’s a cool fella yippiee! his full name is graham jonathan child && baisically. BAISICALLY!! the first two names symbolize what he thinks of himself, and how he presents himself to others ;; mature & responsible etc… HOWEVER his last name shows that he is 8n fact just a kid.

NEXT UP ON THE LIST….. clementine “clemmie” delilah illingworth-rudd ! her name absolutely STINKS of rich-ness and the upper class, showing her regal nature, buuut her final surname rudd is just a common fish. she won’t be missed. “clemmie” is her way of rejecting her family! ^_^ ALSO ophelia is a reference to the character from hamlet… showing that if her family had decised to keep her (plot thing) she would have been married off !

NOW!! my little meow meow ! jane annabella rose pickett;; the first three names (all chosen by his family) show the forced feminization of his being and the pressure he feels from being seen, born and raised as a lady (transgenderism) ! his names are overwhelmingly feminine to the point at which pickett is refreshing - and he certainly thinks so too! he’s referred to as pickett the majority of the time by the rest of the cast additionally, the surname pickett would imply that the bearer would live at the bottom of a hill with a sharp point at the top. it’ his shelter !!

SPEAKING OF TRANS PEOPLE. we have brackett anthony-eliza daly! daly means “descendant of dálach” && this puts emphasis on the fact that no one knows who their father is, and their mother (as did all the characters but thats a plot point teehee) died in childbirth with no records to her forename. the contrasting names of anthony & eliza being double-barrelled show not only their struggle with relating to binary gender, but also inernal conflict in various moments in the story . the name brackett means a hound that hunts by scent,, which also represents their genius !! (not me showing favoritism them being a genius + following clues easily is ALSO. aplot point)

theodore “theo” frederick summers and benjamin “benny” jacob summers are up next !! they r twins (irrelevant but i’m just adding context …);; both of their forenames are biblical names, showing their relation to religion - and then their later rejection to god, as the usage of the more childish nicknames prevent any religion from being correlated to them both. however, benny’s middle name is still from the bible - showing HIS later struggle with religion as he grows older, contrasting theo’s, who never had any problems with it. ALSO, the last name summers would mean the bearer worked in the house of someone named somer. that’s all they r to the outer world;; workers !!

finally there is tulip. idk what to say about her………shes like eight

i just have some thoughts to dump .

i first heard of wednesday a few years ago and "fate is..." was definitely in my top 5 most listened to songs on spotify in 2021 or 22. i didnt know til recent that mj lenderman was a member and didnt know til like yesterday that they might be even better (to me!!!!!).

my first full listen to their live album they put out in later 2023 was yesterday and it changed things for me. embarrassingly enough i only took interest in tyler childers a few months ago. after this neocountry ( i know thats not what its actually called ) awakening within me ive been on a quest to find a good country sounding band that fused with my other genres of interest well. like better than pinegrove well. a honky tonk shoegaze project would be an incredible thing to stumble on, though no im not sure how its going to work with time keeping and all that whatever, no ones proven to make it happen since. but mj is the closest i have ever gotten.

about halfway through the album, i was able to identify something about mjl's familiar vocal... cadence? and place it with neil young. from referencing dylan, john daly, rodeo clowns, michael jordan, tom brady, jack nicholson, jackass, and rust on a grill left in the rain, american citizenship and our often borderline-unbelievable and ever-entertaining popular culture in the digital age help define mjl's sound, especially on this combination of previous releases. from ethel introducing gen z coastals to dale sr. to realtree camo being in casual rotation in an urbanites closet for work or dive hopping, americas "middle" aesthetics are becoming more recognized and thus more commodified. as someone raised in the rural midwest to now residing in the urban midwest, the sudden "trendiness" of articles of clothing or topics of conversation that used to embarrass you if your dad sported either in public, is both affirming and maddening. if you have ever been to a meat raffle, if the deer and fishing openers were treated like holidays in your hometown, or if youve ever resided at a residence within 1 mile of a "trump store", then you know there is a certain valor that comes with it. it wasnt pleasant. it wasnt comfortable. but it was something you did, you survived, and you still probably feel like home there. im getting incredibly off topic and wil probably revisit this concept in a seperate manor........

anyways all that above is to be said because i need you all to know that i do recognize the sin i am committing in this next statement which is to refer mjl's voice with noneother than ontarian neil young. their tenor-ish ranges, along with each of their tendencies to undermix in favor of a raw, though mjl isnt pushing any major life lessons or reflecting on their 20s in any of this album (yet).

knockin, the second track, is where i officially got hooked. i love bob dylan. i love obscure interpolations used within songs. but the only other artist to reference a lyric as common as "knocking on heavens door" that comes to mind IMMEDIATELY is lana, and mjl did it complete justice. on similar note, rudolph was able to become a highlight for me for, once again, a dylan interpolation.

screaming "you are very girl to me!" doesnt have the same affect as passively referring to a love gone as simply "a sunday", but mjl's lyrics immediately reminded me of a few childers lyrics. i cant help but think these asheville guys are childers fans due to the addition of the cover of 'long black veil'. yeah sure its a classic country!, but mjl's lyricism suggests to me that this is more of a reference to a reference, of course referring to "jersey giant" (ORIGINALLY BY TYLER CHILDERS).

dunno how to wrap these. i was just so so impressed with this album and happy i finally bit the bullet and took the internets suggestion to give them a chance.

8.5/10, id like to listen to their discog and hear the studio versions of each song as well.

Guess what I’m reading!

Jk im gonna tell you.

Im reading Genesis. Yes, the bible. Why? Because I'm over certain Christians using it against me. I've read the first 11 chapters (out of 50) in 4 days. So Im gonna talk to you about the first 3 cuz thats all I have time for. 

BTW: I'm not Christian, if you couldn't tell. The majority of my family believes in God but I don't. I'll respect your God if you respect my Gods but im also about to shit on your God for doing some dumb things. I do apologize in advance. ALSO if you can answer a few of my questions I’d be very grateful. I don't care this was written forever ago i'm gonna look at it through modern eyes. 

BTW Salvador Dali make my favorite last supper painting. Very few people know of it so I just thought I’d share, go look it up, I plan on going to see it in person with a friend. She says it looks awesome irl and I'm very interested.

Well God didn't die and since they’re a spirit but never been a living person, that just makes no sense. 

- How can god say, call, or make things good if they are a spirit? 

- If God is a spirit how can god make anything at all? 

- If god is an apparition/ spirit why is God usually only seen as a bright warm light? (Not mentioned in the bible but usually people see God as a light not a person.) 

- If God is a spirit that somehow is a spirit although they've never lived, shouldn't God be a they and not a him. Why do we always call them a him? Because at the time this was written God had to be a man? 

I HATE THE USE OF: 

“firmant” just say sky/ heaven (they do eventually start saying heaven but they still say firmant) 

“and it was so” no, explain that more. 

“God saw that it was good” this phrase got so annoying. 

“Be fruitful and multiply” ew

“let us make man in our image” technically we come from monkeys, we even share an antigen with them. (If you have + blood you probably come from monkeys we all technically should have it because if your RH negative (aka any negative blood type) what do you come from? IDK my blood type so imma just go be with the 85% of ppl who are positive XD)

Chapter 2

- If “the LORD God” make the 7 days I guess we will just ignore history. 

The 7 day system was made by the Babylonians who were polytheistic, they did have a King god though it was just their patron god of Babylonia. 

AND just for fun the first calendar was created by the people in mesopotamia who were also polytheistic.

- Were definitely not made from dust so....

- I thought “god saw that it (everything) was good” yet somehow there is a tree of good and evil knowledge? What?

- If you have to threaten Adam and Eve do you really want them to be in this garden? If you have to threaten them with death to be good are they really even good? 

- Why does the bible just skip over Lilith? She belongs right where god says Adam shouldn't be alone (even though God technically shouldn't be able to talk cuz God’s a spirit) Lilith is made from the same dust Adam was, not cattle. Lilith doesn't want to lay below Adam (she wanted to be on top during sex) and he throws a tantrum she stands her ground when he doesn't respect her she grows wings and flys away, and now she's known as a baby stealer. 100 of her children die every day by the angels who went to take her back to Adam because she refused to go back and a womens disobedience must always be punished.  

- Also because Lilith didn't work out God didn't make the ‘mistake’ of making Eve out of the dust God made Eve out of Adam's rib and I can sense the line “without me you wouldn't be alive” it was never said obviously but I can practically hear it. 

Misogyny at its best I guess. 

- Also man is taken from woman because woman births man. It takes 2 to tango but “because she was taken out of man” makes no sense. 

I HATE THE USE OF: 

- “the LORD God” why does Lord need to be in all caps?

- “into his nostrils the breath of life” ew

- Not mentioning Lilith.

- How do serpents speak, we just glossing over that?

- I thought God was supposed to be forgiving, why did God just kick them out? 

- God did give Adam and Eve clothes thought, was that just as far as God's forgiveness goes? 

- God lied to Adam and Eve so who is really in the wrong? God for not being truthful in the beginning? The serpent who told Eve about the apple (the serpent didn't lie it said they wouldn't die if they ate the apple, their eyes would be opened and they should be as gods knowing good and evil)? Eve for eating and feeding Adam a part of the apple. Or Adam for also eating the apple?

Also if the apple was a metaphor for sex this has got to be a weird orgy.

Like for example just... looking for a certain location! we kno that Wan Qian Cheng is near a desert and near the eastern sea (cuz Huaguo shan) so you just look around the map and oh! Looks like Wan Qian Cheng is either an evolved Peking or it replaced/absorbed Peking as the society progressed

So is the sea its actually near the Yellow sea? The name of where Sha Dali has his boat-home could be the Bohai Bay [渤海湾] unless they changed the name in-universe, but the location would check out. The desert in the s2 finale is probably the Gobi desert

And now Im wondering about the history and- Wan Qian Cheng, “Thousands of Cities”... what is the sheer Scale of that thing?

Is it really stretching almost from the shores of the sea to the borders of the Gobi desert? What about the climate- has the seas risen, has the desert grown and the city is smaller than I imagine it is? Is the mountain in the city manmade? Is it made out of dirt and rocks and stuff or is it all cybernetic- is there more to the city inside of it on certain levels of the mountain?

What were the political moves to achieve such a giant city? What kind of energy are they running on? How far into the future are we? What about that weather station from the very first episode- did it actually affect the entire world? Just ONE station did that? Or is this perhaps hinting on some kind of... unity of all countries so there are no real borders anymore?? Did china somehow overtake the entire world???

Are the weather stations just interconnected- has it been peace for so long that no one really worries about having to pay attention after their own weather station so china just handles that? Or maybe just Red Son hacked them all through the one he took over. Were the weather stations created to combat climate change? Could I ACTUALLY take the concept of these things and Scientifically Logically try to explain them or are they just supposed to work on cartoon logic?

Yaoguai werent regarded so hot in the book but now they can just walk around and have shops open. 妖怪 are like. they do threaten humans n stuff but also they arent like. without a choice when it comes to moral alignment- the western demons seem more locked in the “just rotten through and through or aspires to evil deeds” box. There are some other umbrella terms like 妖精 [yāojing]- from what Ive found these creatures achieve the supernatural status through aging, are somehow connected to age. They are supposedly more helpful and kind out of the two terms, but if they are killed they will enact vengence, most often the kind that is supposed to kill

That brings me to one of my theories that WBS is back and so determinated cuz its simply in her nature- to get back on the one who hurt her so severly. She is free now and it is the destiny tailored by the nature of 妖精 that she WILL succeed. Maybe thats why the sutra sealing her away was in oracle bone script. Im just... really hopin for a backstory sdjgslkgmks

Some other terms are 妖魔 [Yāomó] which describes very powerful terrifying beings and they are Asses. 鬼 [Guǐ] are ya typical ghosts (they kinda get bullied by most of the other beings n can also fall in love with them, apparently) and 魔鬼 [Móguǐ] is a translation of the westerner “devil”. These arent like set in stone or anything, they change a bit from region to region but like yea

ANYWAY HOW THE FUCK DID THESE GET INTEGRATED INTO THE FUCKIN SOCIETY I WANNA KNO, WAS THIS SOME KINDA UNDERT@LE KINDA BULLSHIT... POR FAVOR I NEED TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THIS FUCKING PLACE

Or some smaller details like:

The food store into which Red Son crashes at the beginning of s1 special is called 有食神 [Yǒu shíshén] which characters translate to “have” or “exist”, “food” or “edible” and “deity/god” or “magical”. The store to the left of it is called 口福 [Kǒufú] which means “to be blessed with having good food” and it seems to be smth similar to subway and it exists like. in real life. *these are just the things i wrote down after watching each episode so i'm sorry if they're a little harsh oops :) feel free to discuss!

the national anthem - so fucking weird, honestly the worst choice they could have made for a pilot episode lmao. i'm just glad i kept watching because they got so much better than this ew

fifteen million merits - this one wasn’t good either. i hated the entire concept of it, one of my least favorites

the entire history of you - hot damn this season was horrible. i'm literally so surprised that i kept watching because it was horrible. plus i hadn’t been desensitized to tv violence yet so the whole razor thing bothered me a lot, and i hated the main dude

be right back - this one was fucking devastating oh my fucking god. yeah this one was horrible (i don’t mean in quality) but it was fascinating to watch; just slightly disturbing.

white bear - biiiiitch oh my fucking god this one is a goddamn cinematic masterpiece. my friend telling me about this episode is what made me start watching the show to begin with. this is literally amazing and the plot twist holy fucking shit i'll never get over it jesus fucking christ

the waldo moment - oh this one was just fucking awful. awful plot, horribly boring, and the waldo puppet thing was so fucking annoying, my least favorite

white christmas - this one was fantastic. it was literally the most horrifying thing ever, and the artificial conscience thing fucked me up. the amount of different technological plot elements that combined in this was insane, and it was so fucking cool. one of the most disturbing ones i've watched, but one of my favorites

nosedive - this one was weird and kinda sad. the wedding scene was physically painful for me and i honestly just really didn’t like this one

playtest - oh my god this one was so fucking messed up on literally so many different levels. the ending thing where it was like fifteen different things happening inside his head was crazy, and it fucked me up

shut up and dance - holy fuck the most disturbing one i've seen yet by far this one fucked me up so bad and the worst part was it wasn’t even faintly unrealistic. like it literally could happen. i hated this one but it was pretty damn good, it just scared me so bad

san junipero - this one was fucking beautiful and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it i loved it so much. it was constantly so aesthetically pleasing and gorgeous and it was so happy and beautiful. it took me a little while to figure out what was going on, as with most of them, but once i got it it was fantastic. plus the girls were amazing. i literally have nothing bad to say about this it was beautiful. it's my absolute favorite and i've watched it multiple times now

men against fire - this one was weird. i didn’t like it that much, but it was okay, i guess. the whole MASS thing was weird, and i didn’t understand the concept of the roaches or why they were so bad, because they weren’t actually mutated or anything, it was just the MASS. yeah just weird

hated in the nation - oh my god this one was amazing. honestly literally just 10/10 no comments. the crucial aspect of the bees i didn’t realize was crucial, i thought it was just worldbuilding, and then they came in and it was amazing. compelling plot, fascinating storyline, lovely characters, i loved it. i can't rewatch most of them but this one was just as good the second time around

uss callister - god that one was so fucking scary. not because of the plot or anything, just that dick daly who was introduced as the protagonist and then revealed to be a massive fucking creepy ass psychopath. took me a hot minute to understand what was going on as usual, but once i got it, i was very invested in that weird ass plot. even better the second time

arkangel - that was very good but the feeling it gave me was awful. i felt so bad for the girl sara and i hated the creepy mom. i had no clue how it’d turn out and it was very sad.

crocodile - motherFUCKER i did NOT like that. that poor baby he was so cute. the uh, homicide count in that one was a little higher than usual, but thank god for that cute lil guinea pig, i knew he was gonna be important. motherFUCKer.

hang the dj - that was the most heterosexual goddamn bullshit i have ever seen, and the one (1) girl (i think) that they stuck in there for amy just made it more heterosexual oh my fucking god. the twist ending was super cool tho, and i liked the whole 998/1000 thing

metalhead - what the hell was that? no explanation, no backstory, and they died for a box of fucking teddy bears. that was the most hopeless thing i have ever seen oh my fuck. honestly not bad though.

black museum - now that was very interesting. i love letitia wright she's so good. tbh i don’t know what i was expecting the black museum to be but that was not it. that was very interesting indeed.

striking vipers - that was GAY. took me a second to understand the ending but i actually like the way it turned out. very interesting

smithereens - that was very good and i fucking LOVE andrew scott. yeah that was really good i genuinely had no idea where that was going

rachel, jack and ashley too - that was fucking fantastic. if jack got down on her knees and proposed to me i would say absofuckinglutely im gay for her goddamn. also the end with ashley fuckn o in the club with jack that was amazing. one of my favorites for sure. im glad they chose that for possibly the last black mirror episode jesus. also miley cyrus is an icon and it was just as good rewatching it thats all

ohhhh way too many…. I have so many story ideas with big casts that I’m attached to…. I’ll talk about a few of them from the current webcomic I’m working on (spring is sure to follow) and then the other two I plan to work on after.

Spring is sure to follow:

Lydia and Noah

They were neighbours since early elementary school. They spent so much time together as kids that they have a much more sibling-like relationship. 

Malcolm: He’s close friends with Noah. They originally met in elementary, but Malcolm moved across the city before middle school. Noah ended up going to a highschool far from his middleschool due to reasons, and met Malcolm again there. Malcolm plays bass, and Noah hopes that they can perform together one day.

Amira: She’s in Lydia’s grade and a few of her classes. She’s more focused in art (especially comics/graphic design) but also plays the drums. She loves superhero comics especially, and its her dream to make one of her own some day.

Lauren: She moved to Toronto and transferred to Lydia/Noah’s school for 12th grade. She’s originally from a very small town in the middle of nowhere, so she’s very excited about being in the city. She becomes close with Lydia and asks Lydia to take her everywhere (Lydia is happy to do so.) She’s also strangely strong. 

Ian: He’s Amira’s childhood friend, and also Noah’s ex. He plays piano, and used to make music with Noah. After Noah broke up with him, with a very vague and not completely honest reasoning, he became convinced that Noah was hiding something and never actually cared for him during the 4 months they were together. This creates a very awkward situation when Noah returns for a 5th year at highschool. 

Olivia: Amira and Ian’s childhood friend, though they don’t talk anymore. She’s the best athlete in the school. During middleschool she fully devoted herself to sports with the hopes of a university scholarship, and ended up stop talking to Amira overtime. Amira is convinced that she doesn’t actually enjoy whats she’s doing, but when she tried to confront Liv about it; it ended up breaking up their friendship for good. Amira hopes that they can talk again one day.

Unnamed fantasy story

(I need to make new refs for these guys)

August: a rather frail and naive 17 year old. He’s on a journey with his  friend (Wil). I don’t want to talk too much about him since I want to make this story into a comic one day, but basically he has a power thats quite strong, but causes him pain when he uses it. Wil hopes to find him a place with people who can watch over him.

Wil: He’s a big-brother figure for August, though theyre relationship is a lot more caretaker/kid like. He decided one day that him and August’s home was not a good place for August, and then left searching for a better one. He doesn’t think much for himself, and doesn’t really have any of his own goals. He enjoys cooking.

Dali: She grew up in a small village but always wanted to see more of the world. She was already engaged and planned to settle down, but Wil and August show up and help her deal with a bandit problem that had been plaguing her village, and at the celebration party; she announces that shes cancelling her marriage and leaving on and adventure with the two guys (which comes as a surprise to them) but having a talented archer like her helps them a lot on the journey.

Marie: Formally the daughter of a wheat farmer. The new Duke of her town ended up making things difficult for the farmers, to the point where they were struggling. Marie ended up meeting a healer woman and the two of them form a small resistance in their town. The young Duke ends up offering a deal to Marie’s parents to help their income, with the factor that Marie agrees to marry him. Her parents end up agreeing. Marie uses this opportunity to try to assassinate the duke but fails. She’s sent to be executed, but finds out then that the healer she met is actually a necromancer, and in love with her. The necromancer casts a curse on Marie that keeps her alive after being beheaded, but the result is that she loses half of her memories and it splits her personality in two. Marie (body) runs off in confusion and stays in hiding for months. She has no idea what happened to her head. She joins the main group in hopes that they can reunite her with the necromancer girl she loves.

Cassius: he’s a young mage with a special talent with illusions and getting into peoples head. He was part of an group as a kid that did a lot of underground jobs, but after an incident he partially causes; he gets punished by them turning his ears into rabbit ears. He’s turned into the laughing stock of the group but eventually runs away, and is currently in disguise trying to make himself enough money to get out of the country and to somewhere where he can find someone to help him. He meets the main group at a casino; where he had been using his magic to cheat (and also hiding his ears under a top hat.)

Kill Your Angels (working title for this one)

Tiana (woman in hat): a young woman in disguise as a lounge singer. She’s on the run from a man who framed her for the murder of his wife (but theres a lot more behind the scenes then that. But no spoilers.) She meets Esther, who gets her a place to stay and work, but the man chasing ends up listing Esther as an accomplice, so Tiana chooses to take her along as they run away.

Esther (short haired girl): a 21 year old woman who was working two jobs (mailman in the morning, waitress at night) in hopes of saving enough money to take a long needed vacation. She was living with the owner of the Piano bar she works at since she was 17. She was initially planning to move out around 19, but ended up getting her savings stolen by an ex. Now shes working twice as hard, but gets little time to herself. When she’s out delivering mail she comes across a woman claiming to be a singer. Esther gets her a gig at the bar. After a few days together; Ester ends up getting confronted by the police, claiming that she assisted the the murder of a princess of a country she’s never even been to. Tiana saves her from this confrontation, by literally flying in. Esther realizes then that she tied up in something a lot bigger, and Tiana isn’t entirely who she says she is, or human for that matter.

(OKAY THAT WAS LONG I have more ocs but there are the big 3 stories I want to eventually turn into comics!!!!)

OKOK thanks anon for the input and perhaps I am trying to see something dat don exist but but BUT personally I still see it in pics ?!?!?! And over and over again, like I keep seeing it. And I saw it from the beginning and I never really changed my mind. Its all about perspective I suppose.

HOW ABOUT let’s just say, IN GENERAL, David has TYPE!!!?!?!?!?!!?!?!!?!?? EKEY!!!!! And I still think his type is…………. The female version……………. of him………….. :l or, basically any male-idenfitied female willing to put up with his bs which????? seems like slim pickins nowadays but lemme DIGRESS. 

1. TO YOUR POINT anon I mean ok like to be fair, Cool Girl only looks like Tea on some occasions (for me) and on every other occasion they look like young Mulder to me NO JOKE. Sooooooo…

THEREFORE, I mean … I mean… this comment has been made not only here but also on other sites that report on Deadbeat and Cool Girl walking down the sidewalk…. that Cool Girl looks like they could LITERALLY be Deadbeat’s daughter,  not just in how young they look next to him, but also facially……………………………………………………………………………………………

4. Another clue: THAT FUCKING AGE. WHYYYY so damn young, DEMENTED DUCHOVNY??!?! 

5. And the worst clues of all: the CONSTANT theme of “DAUGHTER/YOUNG WOMAN” in a sexual context in Deadbeat’s “acting” projects. That fucking movie about the soul of his wife being in the body of his DAUGHTER, him literally saying “I could be your father” to a very very very young “love interest/sex object” in Aquarius and sleeping with this girl anyways (and the timing of this episode with… ugh i’m not gonna go there but yOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN? and then reports that David will say “i’m old enough to be your father” at his “concerts”… i mean, he was fucking LYING THROUGH HIS NASTY TEETH he don’t give a shit about age!!!!!, super young love interests in Californishitty ETC.)

INTROSPECTION: MAYBE I want so badly for it to be about Tea (even just in some way) because the alternative reason as to why Deadbeat would be attracted to this “partner” (as in, someone who looks like they could be his DAUGHTER?!?!?!?!?!?! ) IS  MUCH MUCH WORSE to me. And lemme just say here quickly: I understand that there are people who don’t like to support Deadbeat and Tea solely because they support Gillovny so much that somehow they perceive Deadbeat’s marriage as a slight to Gillovny and I’m  not saying that that’s where you’re coming from anon, but I am wary of that and I’m trying to be objective we just have to face the fact that Deadbeat chose to marry who he chose to marry. 

7. BUT THEN I mean, even if its true that Cool Girl resembles Tea like it still does nothing to account for the FACT that clearly there is not much going on intellectually with Cool Girl and now everything just circles back to being just plain DISTURBING AND WRONG like I feel like if they were reflecting Tea’s face (which makes sense to me, even given the timing of the divorce and the fact that the “music” is about divorce, even Miss Subways could be construed that way... etc.) just seems like... idk, i don't really want to give Deadbeat the benefit of the doubt, maybe i really am just trying to protect my own sanity with that argument idk idk??? ....

ok how the hell did I go off on that tangent??!?!?! idk but thanks anon and maybe i’ll try to organize my thoughts a lil more bc i have more to say on why I try to connect Tea to Cool Girl and I have to apologize to Tea actually because that comparison is insanely shitty for her but what I mean (for the most part) is that they have a visual similarity to Deadbeat (who, remember, is a shallow fool) and THATS IT. Otherwise Tea is a grown woman and I respect Tea a lot for being a responsible parent and putting up with Deadbeat’s cheating (NOBODY should have to put up with that bs) so RESPECK upon her name thank u karma for Tim Daly and now i need to ACTUALLY DIGRESS
