its actually wrenching that the best, the most comforting and pleasant memory that jesse had to retreat into to escape the mind-shattering stress of enslavement was from a high school woodshop class. the few moments of joy he experienced in the show—his time spent with jane and andrea and brock—have all been tainted, poisoned. the only thing he has left is the one moment in his life that he felt at peace with himself. content. proud. the one time his capacity and passion for creation—creation of something Good—was fully realized. of all the moments seen and unseen in jesse's life, that was the one he sank into for a second's reprieve from this nightmare

i totally get why people have said, its hard to recommend FFAK, or a bit difficult to do so bc of various XYZ reasons. However, I have suggested to complete strangers/customers to read FFAK (and will continue to do so). I will tell your MOM to read FFAK. and she might. which is unfortunate because i dont know what to do after that happens and they come back to me to ask about it..
