Father: I admit that I was wrong.
Sole: Good.
Father: However.
Sole: No, no however. Just stand there in your wrongness, and be wrong, and get used to it.

Imagine one of Heavy’s other sisters falls absolutely head over heels for Pauling, and Zhanna does *not* approve. Heavy is less horrified at this than Zhanna and Soldier getting together, and only says to Zhanna, “Welcome to my world.”
Pauling is reasonably put-together, hard-working, somewhat professional, and probably has a similarish backstory to Heavy, yknow "killing for work" and all that. Soldier is Soldier. I understand him perfectly

Ratau: Some might suggest that this is a bad idea.
The Lamb, marrying Narinder: Well, it’s a good thing I never listen.

Okuyasu: I have an idea for something fun we can do tonight!

Hi, I’m a big fan of that one comic you did with Hamlet as a Paladin. What other characters from Shakespeare plays would make good DnD characters?
Ohoho, excellent question. :>
Some ideas (which I might get around to drawing/fleshing out someday):
Wizard Prospero and air genasi sorcerer Ariel.
Tiefling Othello. Iago is probably a half-elf, in contrast to high elf Cassio.
Warlock Macbeth, whose campaign is run by the witches.
Changeling Viola, who copies her brother’s form.
Fighter/barbarian Coriolanus.
Half-drow Edmund. I’m not sure about Edgar’s class but it’s likely he’s got a very, very high charisma stat.

A few headcanons:
Preston is interested in philosophy and political theory.
Gage is a shrewd politician and diplomat, an expert in the art of making sure others get his way.
If they weren't a Minuteman and a Raider, they'd get on like a house on fire.
Weirdly these two are characters I don’t have strong opinions on. My feelings for Preston can mostly be summed up as “he’s a swell guy” but he doesn’t interact with the themes of the main quest so I don’t think much more than “I like him”
I try not to think about Nuka world. It’s not my scene for various reasons.

Sorry about that. My Sole Survivor is James Blue, former Army drill sergeant and little league baseball coach. He became the General of the Minutemen with pride, and thanks to his machinations and skillful training, he turned the Nukaworld Raiders into honest-to-god soldiers, and soon Nukaworld became a center of power, not from raiding, but from trade and protection, under the guiding hand of the Minutemen.
BASEBALL COACH?? A WHOLE BABE
I'm very concerned that Mr. Blue took to baseball coaching because of his drill sergeant job, are those third graders okay? Are they good? I'm not sure if there's a correlation between these two jobs but its very worrying but also very funny because I'm imaging a gruff military sarge and his highly trained battalion of baseball players who are 8.
Also very interested in how he managed to reform the Nuka World dudes. My boy Jess just razed the place and set up shop after mopping up raider bones. Did he have to persuade the bosses? Or did he kill them/assume leadership by asserting dominance?
Either way I'm very in love with Baseball man and his child baseball soldiers
WAIT DOES HE USE A BASEBALL BAT AS A WEAPON? DOES HE USE THE BALL GRENADES? THIS IS SO URGENT DOES HE USE BASEBALL THEMED WEAPONRY DOES HE WEAR THE BASEBALL UNIFORM???

Strong: Strong is sick and tired of being called “mortal.”
Strong: You don’t know that. Neither does Strong. Strong has never died even ONCE.
Strong: Nothing has been proven yet. Stop making assumptions.
Strong: It’s rude.

I just binge-read all of A Thing Of Vikings, and am excited to read future chapters! I enjoy making theories about stories, so here's mine for yours: Increased literacy combined with an increasing spread of ideas, as well as a desire for reformation among the Catholic populace, may bring an early Protestant Reformation in Norway, or maybe even a new religion entirely may come about. I'm not telling you what to write, I'm just theorizing, and I think the pieces are there. Great story, regardless!
The thing is, the Protestant Reformation was born from its social and historical context of an extremely centralized and corrupt Church that had spent multiple centuries consolidating power over Christian Europe.  The “current” context in ATOV actually also spurred reforms in the following decades of helping reform the extremely decentralized and corrupt Church structure.  You’ll find more information here.  (And, btw, the man who would become the Pope who led those reforms has already shown up in ATOV)

Joseph: See? One day you're going to look back on this and laugh!
Caesar, still bleeding: I can assure you, for the rest of my life, every time I look back on this, I will personally drive over to your house and smack you.
