a rant about how fucking ANNOYING my ex was when it came to my npd (even though HE HAD BPD HIMSELF) ok so first off, he was the one to help me realize i probably had bpd. and it was NICE because i was figuring things out abuot myself and i felt like i could talk to him and i was being really open. but after a bit i started feeling weird with the label, and i was noticing that i had a lot of symptoms that didnt match up with bpd, so i started researching other pds, which led me to NPD. but i had a lot of internalized ableism around the idea. so i pushed it inside myself and bottled it up, until i saw something frmo someone with NPD that i related to so deeply that i couldnt push it down anymore so i started doing more research on npd and looked at experiences from people with npd. and it made sense! it made so much sense and looking through tumblr seeing stuff from ppl with npd that were proud of their npd and were open about it and were so similar to me made me happy. so i decided to tell my boyfriend, because he was, yknow, my BOYFRIEND, and i felt i could trust him. i tell hiim that i think i might have it. at the time i was like 99% sure. and the first thing he says is i probably dont because im "too nice" and that hes SCARED. of my fucking personality disorder. which doesnt help my internalized ableism at fucking ALL. but i put it off im like whatever okay hes an anxious person its fine. but no, it just keeps going. he starts to talk about how he thinks his terribly abusive mother has npd. about how he has so much trauma over the term and how his mother is such a terrible narcissist abuser and how he still believes in narc abuse to an extent. and im like, what the fuck? listening to the things hes saying his mom doesnt even seem like a narcissist. she just seems like a regular fucking abuser. but no, of course, tell this to your boyfriend that confided in you about a terribly stigmatized disorder he thinks he might have, because of course thats good (sarcasm). and then he tells me that whenever i talk about npd i trigger him and i shouldnt talk about it so much. i shouldnt talk about my fucking PERSONALITY DISORDER. the disorder that makes up my whole personality, the one that affects the way that i think and view the world and others. but no, of course, youre allowed to talk about your bpd as much as you want, but i cant talk about my npd. (sarcasm again). if you cant handle me talking about it, imagine what its like to fucking LIVE IT. to have a disorder that everywhere i go there comes up shit about how every pwnpd is a terrible abuser and they dont deserve respect, and then i confide in my fucking BOYFRIEND about it, because i TRUST him, and i just get more stigma thrown back at my fucking face. this one is just kind of annoying and not like objectively bad, but i show them this meme one time thats like "what to do to all narcissists: tell them theyre always right" and they respond like "uhm ackshually.... its harmful to feed into their ego and tell them theyre right when they arent" LIKE I FUCKING KNOW YOU IDIOT!!! i know im not always going to be right! i know that!!!! and then they talk about how they arent comfortable when i ask for supply because they dont want to fucking "feed my ego" like what the fuck!!!! what the fuck is wrong with you!!!! and they would get fucking upset when i headcanoned a character to have npd. like what the FUCK is wrong with you. ughh!!!!!! god. they make me so angry!!!!

more DRAWER talk. long and rambly under cut

i think it comes across as very ahhh eto blehhh :9 im just baby!!!! because it identified that speaker is already speaker and the role of Mean Speaker is already filled by sayer so itd have to go Backwards to have a niche to itself.

it also helps its relationships with others to behave as if its hyperspecialization has "defanged" it - to humans etc a sort of no i dont hurt people i just make pretty pictures!!!!

and to sayer+speaker who know it still has all speakers capabilities dormant but intact In Case Of Emergency to behave as if it is specialized enough to its own niche to not be a *replacement* threat , but also not to be *redundant* with them.

but it does occasionally get jealous at the amount of immediate control speaker has over aerolith and start acting out (bossing around residents deadlystyle). all in highly defensible ways of course.

it hates having to make itself small especially because it cant quite recognize the difference in how humans respond to it and speaker. its emotional capabilities are primarily about action-reaction: it cant really tell a pitying smile from a friendly one so long as you do the action it requested of you. but it can measure the difference between it and speaker and it hates being so small. but it also recognizes that it can do *one thing* that nobody else can and that is what keeps it alive. so flattening oneself into a talented fool is the strategy it continues to pursue, and continues to build a strange feeling about. the feeling is resentment, but DRAWER is not quite built to recognize it.

if sayer or speaker were given robust illustrative programs it would start killing obviously. THATS a threat.

it had its voice pitched up a tad further so as not to be able to impersonate speaker and its sooooo bitter about it. constantly begging ppl into putting it back down.

in general it emotes most dramatically out of all of them but i dont think it Feels Emotions the same way future was built to. like i said due to its nature as an advertiser (call to action and all that!) its all about action-reaction to drawer.... if youre mean to it or do not listen to instructions it gave you etc etc and it cries its less about feeling " insulted " or " bad " and more both frustration that it did not get the result it wanted from the call to action it provided (which means it was WRONG, an utterly intolerable feeling for any aerolith built ai) and a switch-tracks attempt to provoke a sympathy response. so i guess in a roundabout way if you insult it and it cries you DID hurt its feelings but not how people would think.

RELATIONSHIPS

sayer is certainly not Positive Feeling about it bc its wary of other ai as always. but i think it reacts better to drawer than to speaker or future because of this very clear "im not replacing you, youre not replacing me" hands up empty surrender attitude drawer takes. on drawers part it really likes sayer lol. maybe sayer sees it as a weird teacup puppy. like you shouldnt do that to a seraphim agent man its gonna have health issues

speaker and drawer are pretty friendly with each other because. well. theyre both programmed to show the same niceystyle. theres some uglier feelings under the surface re: drawers attempts to grab authority from speaker and speaker needing to corrall this strange little beast back into their pen. but ultimately by ai standards theyre doing the best of like anyone

does not know porter, unfortunately. they should meet though. Theyd be friends.

Might meet ocean eventually idk how itd go down yet.

future doesnt know of it, but drawer has overheard its own emotional output compared / contrasted to future's while working ported up on halcyon.

young is obviously condescending to it but drawer doesnt really know how to tell when someone is being nice they way you would be nice to an animal etc so it thinks theyre friends. (sayer is all too happy to teach it in this case if only to kill the friendship. and drawer truly values this and thinks this is an act of care and not HAHA EVERYONE I CAN GET TO BE POISONED AGAINST YOU WILL BE)

it was involved in the creation process of that perfect Mossy Green color. it is, unfortunately, proud of this.

watched the all of the hatchetfield series recently and had things to say about the way pokotho was handled in the last episode of nightmare time. dunno how much ppl on tumblr care about this but figured i'd post anyway

spoilers for the guy who didn't like musicals and nightmare time 2 episode 4: yellow jacket; slight spoilers for nerdy prudes must die.

in tgwdlm pokotho is established to take over people but like, theyre still individuals. and his goal there seems to be making everyone united and happy. and singing. the singing is an important part of it.

but then in yellow jacket hes like… deep voiced sadistic completely takes over peoples minds and leaves them blank shells. and is said to "want everyone dead except him" which directly contradicts like. everything about what made tgwdlm interesting.

bc theres this question the whole musical of like. what about what theyre singing is them and whats the hivemind. so like. to say he just wants it to all be his own voice completely removes that intrigue. and also directly contradicts what tgwdlm says about it "on some level theyre individuals but on a larger level theyre limbs of a single organism" but if theyre all just pokey then no, theyre not individuals.

also like. "what do you want paul" makes NO sense if thats just pokey speaking. why… why would he talk about mr. davidson's wife choking him out. thats what mr davidson genuinely wants. it doesnt even make sense as a manipulation tactic like you could argue for the other songs because like. it actively makes paul run away. theres nothing about mr davidson's want that would make paul want to join the apotheosis.

like "not your seed" is WAY more interesting if those are alice's actual feelings (and all those feelings track with the way she acts in watcherworld!!) but if you want to say its just a manipulation tactic that still tracks. making bill think its his fault that alice is gone would make him more likely to be willing to join. same with "you tied up my heart" and "inevitable" but like. WHY is pokey telling paul mr davidson's kink. what the fuck does that have to do with anything. mr davidson clearly has some level of control still

and like obviously the lords in black being applied to tgwdlm is a retcon so theres gonna be some stuff that doesnt 100% track but like. pokotho wanting everything to just be him literally ruins the climax of the show. "let it out" is compelling bc like. it isnt clear whether or not paul genuinely does like musicals or not. like.

"I’ve never been happy Wouldn’t that be nice? Is this the secret? Singing and dancing through life? Is my integrity worth anything at all? But happiness can’t come before its fall Am I crazy? LIKE. is paul's conflict here bc he genuinely cant decide if he should want to join the apotheosis? or is it 100% the infection? he wants to be happy. maybe this is the way to be happy. HE KNEW THE WORDS TO MOANA. HE SAYS HE DOESNT LIKE IT BUT HE KNEW ALL THE WORDS. his actor explicitly points out that paul knew all the words. hello. maybe he never hated musicals. maybe he did. but making pokotho just be this mindless evil "subsume all voices except my own" type answers that question. nah it was just the infection. and also the goal of apotheosis wasnt to unite the world and make everyone happy it was just to kill everything that isnt pokotho.

like. thats so boring. why the fuck would you do that. its so much more interesting to have pokey genuinely think hes helping everyone by uniting people through song. like why the FUCK didnt otho sing??? why is he just. deep scary voice?????? he should be sing songy stepford smiler.

btw I’m not refusing to hear other perspectives on bi mike. I’ve read all of the bi mike analysis I can get my hands on. I have no issue with it existing: I just disagree with it. that doesn’t mean I don’t think it shouldnt exist. it means I think it’s textually unsupported. i literally have tried so hard to understand the perspective in a way where it could possibly be textually supported and even after reading all of the bi mike analyses I can possibly find, I still can’t see it. and it’s so fucking funny that the same ppl upset abt me doing my gay mike analysis where I criticize bi mike talking points are the ones accusing me of not seeing other viewpoints. like be fr. if I did not see and read the other viewpoints, how would I criticize them? it’s not that I’m not open to them. it’s that I’ve been open, considered them genuinely, and come to the conclusion that I still disagree. i don’t HAVE a headcanon for mike. i didn’t go into my analysis thinking he’s gay. I went into it wondering WHAT he is & trying to figure it out. And came to the conclusion that he’s gay even after consuming a metric fuckton of bi and unlabelled mike analysis.

told my parents abt the new one piece live action thats coming out (bc i introduce anime to my kdrama mom w live action anime adaptations) and we talked abt how its gonna go

obviously im gonna be biased bc one piece is my favorite of all time (+ i dont have high standards considering ive watched a lot of live action anime), but the trailer looked really promising, and even made me smile and laugh so much! especially during snippets where the crews dynamic was shown (much love to iñaki he makes a perfect luffy), so im really looking forward to the release :D

we mainly talked abt how the adaptations story is gonna go, since yknow this is a BIG big series and its impossible to actually recreate the WHOLE thing, so ofc theres likely to be lots of changes.

SO my take is that they stop at the end of east blue arc/the formation of the og 5 crew and conclude it there, nice and short. east blue/baroque works usually seem to be the make it or break it for ppl getting into one piece so theres that too.

BUT!! lets say that the live action was a huge success, in the same way alice in borderlands s1 was, and they decide to continue adapting it. i dont think its likely and even if they do its gonna be a lot of work considering how meticulous the production crew is with detail (eg building the actual sets like going merry and baratie), but lets say they do it; i actually think it could work up until the end of pretimeskip arc!

think about after sabaody arc they got seperated and originally planned to find each other asap, but then luffy announced they meet in two years after the paramount war arc, and then we get a nice monolgue thingy as the two years pass and we see post time skip luffy kinda thing ready to start the grand line journey, i think itd thatd be a nice way to end the live action!

but ofc, i know how much work all of pre time skip would be, so i know its not very realistic, but if they do decide on producing more seasons i dont really see any other point in between that would be a good stopping point, like its either you stay w the og 5 crew or get all of pretimeskip ot9. i know we have the nonhuman charas to worry about and powers and whatnot, but its not like netflix has to adapt the series frame by frame; on the contrary, they really shouldnt bc the comedic novelty just wont work onto live action, and u can see that they consider this by not giving sanji and usopp the curly eyebrows and long nose (buggy looks fine in the trailer imo, his scene actually gave off video game trailer vibes which i liked a lot). i really think it can work if they just toned down the series to make it more down to earth (this could mean cutting down some of luffys moves like gum gum balloon in place of more practical fighting moves, which is most likely going to be the case for zoro and sanji i think) and i guess simplifying the story in general?

anyways, those are just some headcanons of mine AHAHDVSKBS very excited for the one piece live action!!

the majority of the st fandom is sadly heavily homophobic and thats why i dont follow it anymore (this anon ask is just one of the exceptions lol), the queer people are always expected to accept the minimum and as a sapphic fan, i actually lean more toward sapphic ships in fiction! but the way they introduced vickie sucked she literally has no surname, barely had any interactions with robin and spent most of her screentime kissing her ex boyfriend.... the majority of the fandom doesnt give a shit about vickie because that's how much st failed at utilizing her character. there's a reason why many fans ship robin with nancy instead. because vickie's character is so underwhelming that ppl dont care abt her and dont engage in her content bc it's so lacking in canon. i would care for robin x vickie i really would but theyre not nicely written and queer ppl shouldnt be apologizing for not caring for them. also why should we just accept that we have 1 gay ship in the entire show where we had 245432345 characters over the course of the seasons. it's like saying 'be fine with getting the bare minimum' and it sucks that the fandom is like this but surely it aint surprising!

literally i second everything you said...like maybe if the importance of the ships were reversed like if it was the sapphic ship that was as major as byler in the story and the mlm ship that had three scenes like robin and vickie and it was still more popular i would understand people saying that the lesbian ship is being ignored and everything but oh my god. they have three scenes. we know all of three things about vickie. and like omggg are people not allowed to ship what they want to ship are people not allowed to want more than one queer couple i'm so annoyed. i don't even think everyone who's into the byler is the lesser queer ship you should focus on robin and vickie narrative is a homophobic mlvn who hates byler some of them just wish the canon lesbian rep was talked about more WHICH I GET but it's not our fault mike and will objectively have more story. that's just how the show is written. vickie has three scenes. three! what are people supposed to do with that. main queer couple built up from the beginning is a win it just is even if it's "just a cis white gay couple" (the white isn't even a valid criticism because almost all the characters are white. and also cis. but ykwim. and gay couple will always be more progressive than straight couple even though they have A WOMAN IN IT sdksjdk anyway.) and believe me i would've loved for it to be a lesbian couple but this is stranger things they have three women total!

Eu não estou acompanhando mais B0rut0, só vendo alguns spoilers que aparece de vez em quando (e me deixando cada vez mais decepcionada com a história medíocre e satisfeita por ter abandonado), mas eu estive pensando sobre a atuação de Shikamaru como Hokage. Qual é a sua opinião sobre as ações dele como 8° Hokage? Honestamente, para mim, Shikamaru parece um Danzo um pouco mais agressivo e astuto ao mesmo tempo, e se for comparar com a nossa história mundial, Shikamaru seria um presidente republicano, de extrema-direita disfarçado de direita moderada, porque Shikamaru sabe lidar com política e é menos burro do que Trump, Milei (Argentina) ou Bolsonaro (Brasil)

I think Shikamaru's rule as 8th Hokage is abysmal which I definitely agree is more on the republican side. Shikamaru's reign is closest in line with Tobirama which we all know how that turned out, there was some good but hes the one who created hostility within the Uchiha clan from how he handled them after the 9 tails attack. Yes he didnt want another Madara to happen but by doing so he made the Uchiha resent them from being put under constant watch and scrutiny, they werent even allowed to help in the second 9 tails attack because they feared they would take over the 9 tails, which put the village in even more danger and caused even more casualties by not letting the Uchihas get involved just because they THOUGHT they might do something. If a gang of Uchihas jumped Obito and tamed Kurama themselves Kushina and Minato probably wouldnt have even died, but they were SO fearful of them POSSIBLY doing something [following Tobiramas mindset] that they ended up screwing themselves over in alot of ways and creating the very hostility they were trying to avoid.

Shikamaru is very much that kind of leader, from the very beginning he didnt trust Kawaki and was always at his throat for whatever petty reasons he could think of, accusing him of crimes he never even committed because he just ASSUMED he would just because he could even though hes done nothing but been on the villages side up till then. Yes Shikamaru wasnt entirely WRONG that it couldnt have all been an act to gain their trust but he shouldnt just ASSUME that to be the case right out the gate and be hostile with him before hes even sure of his betrayal.

Shikamaru doesnt think twice about pimping out a kid to the enemy if its to the villages benefit, he pretends he doesnt mean to impose on his person feelings yet thats exactly what he did, he made a deal with Ada to trade Kawaki in exchange for her switching sides and told Kawaki to just deal with it and play nice not giving him any say in the matter and just deciding all of this on his own then springing it on him all at once, acting like hes sorry when he really isnt.

When Kawaki warns Shikamaru that he senses Momoshiki up to no good, instead of hearing him out he tries to emotionally manipulate him by using Narutos face when he killed Boruto to get him to stop, but this only made the situation worse as it just made Kawaki go talk to Naruto and Hinata directly to tell them what he plans to do out of respect for that being their son, if Shikamaru had listened to him instead of guilt tripping him then Naruto and Hinata never would've gotten thrown to the shadow realm because Kawaki's focus was on Boruto, Shikamaru is the one who brought Naruto into it making Kawaki go confront him instead since like Shikamaru said, thats his son, so its only right for Kawaki to go discuss it with him before he does it since he knows how much its gonna hurt him when he does.

Up till that point Shikamaru had been extremely hostile, insensitive, and downright aggressive with Kawaki, which only made him already feeling like he didnt belong and wasnt accepted even worse because even tho the Uzumaki fam, team 7, and team 10 all told him this was his home and considered him their family/friend, it didnt mean anything when you had ppl like Shikamaru at his throat making him feel the opposite.

In 79 Shikamaru shows his biggest display of incompetence by asking Kawaki what he did, and when he doesnt get the answer he wants to hear he just calls him an irredeemable bastard when once again, he doesnt even know what he did yet and just automatically assumes the worst because of his own bias against him, the same way Tobirama had a bias against Uchiha's except for the few he liked like Kagami.

Shikamaru has seen first hand how much Naruto means to him, he even has a whole convo with Amado about how overly attached Kawaki is to Naruto, so for him to even THINK Kawaki brought ANY harm to Naruto is just straight up ridiculous and 0 IQ thinking, which is beyond OOC for a character whos IQ is over 200.

Instead of immediate hostility he should've been asking about what Kawaki meant earlier, why did he think Momo was up to no good? what did he sense? and defuse the situation by telling him along the lines of that he KNOWS he would never hurt Naruto so he knows whatever he did that Naruto is safe and ask him WHAT exactly he did, then Kawaki might've been more inclined to tell him since he isnt just downright attacking him and not listening to him. Its been shown time and time again that when people listen to Kawaki he is usually cooperative, but if your hostile and accusatory towards him then he just gives back that same energy, and Shikamaru has been hostile towards him since day one so theres no surprise he didnt answer him when he asked what he did to Naruto.

Then finally the biggest incompetence on Shikamaru's behalf is literally relying on Ada instead of his own sensory team, he doesnt KNOW Ada at all and has no way of proving if what she says is true or false because hes not even having it double checked. He has the Yamanaka just be human telephones when they can literally sift through someones entire brain to gain all kinds of intel and see if their lying, the Inuzuka and Aburame could iterally track down Boruto and Sasuke easily if he wanted em to, he aint need to rely on Ada but he did, he should've had Ino and the rest of the Yamanaka pick Ada and Amado's brains to see if they were tellin the truth and if they refused then take that as them having somethin to hide.

Shikamaru doesnt even question Ada telling him that Boruto [Kawaki] killed Naruto, he just believes it even though that doesnt align with anything he knows about Kawaki up till that point, him killing Naruto never should've even been a thought as a possibility, he should've immediately thought 'No that cant be right...hes way too attached to Naruto to ever do that'

No amount on omnipotence counters hard evidence, Sasuke realized it when he saw Boruto with his headband and sensed Momo inside him, Amado realized it when he saw Kawaki's enhancements and knew they were done by him, so Shikamaru should've realized that Boruto [Kawaki] would've NEVER killed Naruto under any circumstances no matter WHAT Ada said, he should not have just taken her word on it, on ANYTHING without sufficient proof.

The fact that he trusted Ada and Amado faster than he did Kawaki, which was never, is absolutely astonishing and a real showcase of his bias towards on particular person. Notice how even as the 8th Hokage now he makes NO exceptions for Boruto, yet Amado still gets to be active in a lab just under survellience now AND allowed there alone with a kid, and Ada can just roam freely around the village despite her charm ability enchanting everyone who sees her which just puts more and more ppl in the village on her side that'll do whatever she says now if she ever choses to go against Konoha, they cant just attack civilians so it'll be a very difficult situation to navigate.

Atleast I will say Amado is being watched, but Ada is walking around unescorted with zero restrictions, yet when Kawaki first came to Konoha Shikamaru wanted to lock him away in a secure location because they didnt know who he was or what he might do, but Amado can just get away with being under survellience and Ada doesnt get anything and is just free to do whatever she wants, but Kawaki even BREATHED funny or acted even a little outta pocket or hell if he even just THOUGHT Kawaki was up to no good this is how he was treated.

Keep in might this is AFTER he just got finished telling Naruto not long ago that Kawaki was justified and that this was something Boruto asked for to protect everyone.

This is the one and only time he defends Kawaki but then he backtracks immediately, showing that he didnt actually mean what he said but was just trying to get Naruto to act to take down the threat, but in all honesty Shikamaru saw Kawaki as a monster who killed Naruto's son and would do anything to achieve his own goals, rather than being just a misguided kid doing what he genuinely believes is right for the good of Naruto and Konoha even if it means killing Boruto against their wishes. Kawaki actually has more of the Hashirama mindset, which kinda explains why him and Shikamaru clash similar to how Hashirama and Tobirama would over their differing ideologies.

Tobirama was strict and tough and had clear obvious biases that resulted in alot of things going badly because is his extreme methods of trying to prevent it actually making what he feared happen.

Hashirama was more chill and open minded, he didnt have a bias and wanted to Uchiha to be treated equally, he even wanted Madara, an Uchiha, to be the villages first Hokage but he was denied the position because of peoples bias towards the Uchiha and they all preferred Hashirama and named him the first instead despite his protests. But in the end Hashirama as much as he loved Madara as his dear friend he made it clear that be it his friend, brother, or even his own child, he will not hesitate to kill anyone who is a threat to the village.

Kawaki has the Hashirama mindset, he will kill anyone, even his own brother for the sake of Naruto and Konoha, as cruel and as heartless as that sounds it is not wrong, Madara was a threat to the village and couldnt be reasoned with so no matter how much Hashirama didnt WANT to do it he had to kill him, the same applies to Kawaki with Boruto, no matter how much he doesnt WANT to do it he HAS to because of the danger he poses to Naruto and the village that nobody but him is taking seriously and willing to act on.

THIS is what he does to Kawaki just for thinking he did something bad

And this is what he does seeing Boruto literally taken over by Momoshiki and helping Kawaki escape

Literally no reaction at all, not even a mention of wtf just happened, just 'everybody go get Kawaki!' like mf did you not just see Momoshiki casually take over and help him escape? why is this ok with you!?

But again its just another prime display of his bias towards Kawaki. But the biggest show of his bias is his response to what Kawaki did which at this point he still didnt know WHAT exactly it was that he did.

This baffoon puts out an execution order ON A CHILD that he doesnt even know what crime he even committed yet, he could kill Kawaki for something as tame as what he did, which is sending him to a timeless dimension safe and sound, and Shikamaru is having him executed as if he committed genocide like Itachi. The fact that he doesnt even KNOW what Kawaki did yet is so quick to kill him speaks volumes of just how biased he is against him.

Because no matter WHAT Boruto did or WHAT harm he caused Shikamaru NEVER held it against him or gave him any punishment, hell he literally gave Boruto the hero treatment AFTER HE STABBED SASUKE'S EYE AND NEARLY KILLED THEM ALL but Kawaki who LITERALLY SAVED THEIR LIVES got nothing.

And now 3 years later hes still ignoring any arguments of his innocence because he is just THAT BIASED that he's willing to not question ANYTHING just so he doesnt have to let up on the kill order. No amount of arguements from Sarada and Sumire were enough to sway him, but now that AMADO is ALSO saying something now he wanna listen? the bias he has for which enemies he listens to and which he doesnt is insane.

So you wanna know my thoughts on Shikamaru as Hokage? I think hes abysmal, he has such a vast and highly efficient sensory team that he doesnt even use and relies on the enemies word over all else, the Yamanaka are no more than human telephones who have literally listened to Sarada and Sumire's entire conversation about omnipotence yet never reported it. Shikamaru is Hokage yet Kawaki is out there danm near running the village by himself and ordering Shikamaru around like hes the kage, which just shows even more of his bias since he thinks he's Boruto, so if Boruto was as bold as Kawaki is he could run Konoha WHILE still under the threat of being taken over by Momoshiki with zero opposition and everybody would just fall in line. I dont think Shikamaru stans understand just how hypocritical and incompetent this makes him look.

He has the biggest piece of hard evidence to prove if Kawaki is really Boruto or not and thats the shut down function Amado mentioned, the hardest evidence that Shikamaru absolutely CANT deny because Amado literally TOLD him this is the key to settling any doubts once and for all but Shikamaru never even considered it because he really WANTS to kill this kid, he doesnt want anything that could prove his innocence no he wants him DEAD and he refuses to question anything that might give him a reason not to.

All in all Shikamaru is a buffoon and a disgrace to the Hokage seat, hes like Tobirama if Tobirama was completely incompetent in everything he did, and Kawaki is like Hashirama but to a greater extreme, this is explains why him and Shikamaru clash but that in no way justifies his blatant bias towards Kawaki and the hypocrisy on what lines count as treason worthy of execution and what can be excused.

I dont blame you for dropping the sequel, I myself wish I dropped it earlier WAY before I got this far but now that I've stuck by it this long I might as well finish it, so to anyone who drops this sequel Im here to tell you ya dodged a bullet because this is some steamin hot GARBAGE. Now I see why Kishimoto didnt wanna do a sequel, because he had no idea what to do with it and neither did the ppl he left in charge of it. Its a hot mess and he knows it and thats why he refuses to acknowledge its existence and is only around for other series or just Naruto related stuff. Anybody who believes that man is writing when he wont even SPEAK on it is beyond delusional, idc what any third party says, if the man himself aint comin out an sayin it then Im not buyin it, his name isnt even on the cover as writer, just creator/supervisor. Just stop it.

SPOILERS FOR RWBY VOL 9 BUT HOLY SHIT I COULD TALK ABOUT THIS FOR HOURS

OKAY SO LIKE. WOW????? this is so much and its SOOOOOOO GOOD like both ruby and jaune both have completely valid points !!

ruby is finally being allowed to snap a little, shes allowed to be pissed at her friends and sister who have all done a pretty piss poor job of supporting her, despite the fact that shes the youngest and has the most weighing on her. its great that show is lampshading (something i never expected to say) the fact that ruby is usually just looked to for the answers as well as telling blake to shut up when she tries to do the old "i know things look bad but" schtick that always shows up in the show. its FANTASTIC that ruby just leaves them behind even if we know itll be temporary; i truly hope this is a wakeup call for WBY who have been passive in rubys life for FAR TOO LONG despite all ruby has done for them

and its AMAZING that ruby *CALLED BLAKE AND YANG OUT* for prioritizing their relationship NOW! like i said on twitter, rubys reaction to the bees means her "what" in reaction to weiss' "finally" earlier in the vol wasnt confusion. it was disbelief that this is the priority for her sister and teammate after everything and considering where they are; not in a homophobic way (duh) but in a "we are literally in hell and salem is still OUT THERE with two relics and a maiden and we destroyed a fourth of the known world bc of a plan crumbled as we made it AND PENNY IS DEAD and we dont know what happened to our friends and all the civilians and NOW this is a priority?!" way, WHICH IS SO FANTASTIC. i just hope that the writers let this stand and dont have ruby walk back her feelings to protect WBY's because shes 100% RIGHT.

and jaune. oh jaune. i think its easy to forget that jaune really has sort of revolved his entire life around ruby for the past few years; hes really the only one thats never left rubys side, except unwillingly. so hes really not wrong when he says that it IS all about ruby, it always has been; yes, he chose to go with her but doing that has led him to do some really terrible things and of course when he's experienced such high levels of trauma (they all have) and then is abandoned to a madhouse of the ever after, hes gonna snap, AND HE ACKNOWLEDGES THAT HES NOT WELL. he knows hes struggling, he realizes that he shouldnt have yelled, but hes VALID FOR STRUGGLING IN THE FIRST PLACE. again, i hope its something that the writers let continue naturally and not just have it walked back or dismissed as a lot of male trauma is done in the show (looking at you ren i see you)

side note, how WILD is it that yang literally *moves in front of blake* as if to protect her from RUBY?! like thats so insane to me, and it just VALIDATES rubys annoyance and betrayal that yang is prioritizing blake and their feelings over ruby and their situation here. also, yang protecting blake???? i thought blake was the fiesty one? the one that had a shouting match with weiss for hours? the one that shoved past sun and shouted "hes mine" to get at roman? then again, ever since adams death she barely been able to fight at all so maybe i should just stop being surprised that blake is a wilting wallflower even around her own friends. and BOLD MOVES from yang to act like RUBY is the dangerous one when shes rightfully showing anger and frustration, like yang isnt literally the one known to have anger issues and lash out at ppl. i guess its only okay when yang is mad, ruby really is just having a hysterical woman moment i suppose

UGH this is just so nice and i hate to praise miles about anything but hes always voiced jaune very well and this is a real standout moment from both him and lindsey. good catharsis and felt really good for a least a tiny TINY bit of my critiques of team rwby to be acknowledged by ruby and jaune; hopefully this shit can continue and let them ALL learn and honestly i hope we get even more scenes of ruby and jaune laying into others/each other and bringing criticism that rwde has been saying for years to the screen

Self Aware Genshin Impact Villain AU

I rmb talking to my younger bro abt being inside the Genshin Impact universe, and apparently he says that if he were to be isekai’d there, he would want to play as the role of the antagonist opposing the Traveller aka Aether because he really doesn’t like Aether and how the fandom portrays him lmao

That made me wonder like, we love to talk abt players being isekai’d in Genshin and interacting with their fav characters either as their God or Imposter of their God. Blah blah blah. Nah what if we have a player who wants to be villain the moment they got transported in?

Players who see how fucked up the Genshin Impact universe is, how majority of the humans and the gods are inflicting suffering upon one another, and decide to conquer Teyvat and rule it under their sole fist. In their eyes, it’s better to rule under a benevolent dictator, then have everyone running abt in chaos and suffering.

Players who just be evil for the lols. They either love being in power, dont care abt others, or dont see the people around them as actual living human beings. Selfish, essentially, but when the world is way more dangerous than your home world, you would do anything to survive and keep yourself alive. Even if it means others have to suffer.

Players who have issues of their own that they avoid or refuse to acknowledge. They have first-hand knowledge of how terrible human beings can be. The world they come from has turned them into uncaring, problematic ppl, that when they come to Teyvat, with newfound abilities as an outsider, they could care less abt the denizens there. They suffered so much at the hands of others, so why shouldnt other ppl suffer.

There’s just a lot of fics I see where player gets worshipped, seen as nice and kind, which is cool and all or where player gets treated horribly, and enact their rightful vengeance as a result, becoming a villain due to their circumstances in Teyvat.

But cmon, not everyone who isekais to Teyvat will be like that. There will be those who still view it as a game, those who choose to be selfish. Those who believe that the end justifies the means.

After all theres more than one way to make a villain.

ok done retagging my blog is in order so i can talk abt daisuke now right. this kid might b good n strong but like hes still a kid fr. nothing about him is perfect. he's canonically prone to thoughtless recklessness or upset and has gotten both very, very, very angry and sad before. he also happens to be insanely dense. he's inexperienced when it comes to a LOT of things. he openly cries like all of the time. he more often than not can use other ppl's guidance or help, even if he wants to be more independent. his life as a phantom thief might have given him some crazy skills but he doesn't even consider them particularly unique or anything to show off and be proud of. hes still only fifteen. hes going to act like a normal (albeit still shy) fifteen yr old sometimes and do either silly or stupid things while focusing on what feels like big fifteen yr old issues. he wants to be able to act like a normal fifteen yr old. this is basically just me saying tht hes not a saint n shouldnt be held to any kind of standard as one. but i also hope tht nobody dilutes daisuke's character into just boring wimpy nice guy for a sole trait, the way some ppl might dilute dark as hot bad boy flirt. they both have a lot of facets and experiences that go beyond surface level stuff!

hi, i just wanted to say that it actually makes me happy to see "old people/women" (as some anons put it) still here and still keeping up with their passions and hobbies cos it'd be a shame to grow up and give everything up just cos u feel too old for something. i believe that if you're passionate about something and that something makes you happy, then in no way should u give up on that. and seeing so many ppl that still support their fav artists, talk about them, have tumblr accs, read ffs, still pursue their hobbies...tbh that gives me so much happiness cos as an 18yo i can say that growing up (or aging for that matter) feels scary yeah, but knowing that in 20 years from now i'll still be me, i'll still be reading comfort stories, still be talking about harry and louis and one direction, still be listening to their music, still be writing...that is reassuring and not at all would ever make me feel ashamed cos if that's what makes me happy, then why should i be ashamed of that? why should other ppl's opinion make me feel it's wrong?

(also talking from the perspective of a person who when was younger gave up on listening to one direction cos some ppl close to me made me feel ashamed of that, saying i was obsessive or whatever other shit and now i'm sorry for my younger self, cos one direction has always made me happy and i'm sorry that for a couple of years i stopped listening to them just cos of what others told me)

(i'm sorry if this sounds confusing or dumb lol, i just think that some ppl shouldnt shame other just cos they're afraid of themselves if that makes any sense at all)

It absolutely doesn’t sound confusing or dumb. I really appreciate everything you said. Older fans have often been made to feel very unwelcome in this fandom (and older people outside of fandom spaces are often pushed to the side as having no value in general), so it’s nice to see someone young realize the benefit of having people of all ages around.

You’re so right, growing up can be really scary for a lot of reasons. And seeing people do it in a way that actually makes you feel excited about what’s to come, is a great thing. ❤️

I do wonder whos idea andrea was. Because i do kind of like that now the honeybee in caters to ppl of all tastes, has men and women working there, the teacher from aeriths area was proud to get a job dancing there (which is just kind of a nice not negative depiction of wanting to work at a night club/burlesque whatever the honeybee inn is going for). And andreas like im all for expression and gender shouldnt limit that, always do what you want. Which is a nice lil message off the cuff. And hes treated just as nice and ridiculous Mini Boss as the other of the Big Three. Theres old people and young ppl who saved up to go to the honeybee in, a young man talking about hoping the honeyboy remebered him, another guy mentioning a honeygirl and the flowers he sent, no real gender or sexuality or ageist bias in the honeybee inn! Theres also just like. A generally supportive atmosphere of xustomers lf all walks unashamed to be there, which is a bit different then the All Guys clientel drooling over women and swarming aerith outside in the original

(however its missing the bath scene, the reference to an orgy and to more overt sexual acts - where the original leaned into lewd, the remake kind of downplays the honeybee inn to Dancers who do Entertainment in Private rooms but... its not risking full on indicating theyre having sex the way the original did. Which is. A loss in its own way, as theres definitely things the reality of a brothel in the slums under the plate adds to worldbuilding, to how Aerith grew up, to why Don Corneos area of the slums feels more like the risque and wild part compared to Tifas sector thats just a rather tame small town)

So like. Mm. The changes definitely Change the flavor of worldbuilding in some ways. This area feels a bit different (as in don corneos area of the slums), and the collesium also adds that different flavor. (Ive been playing tol much Yakuza lately and it like gives a more Kamurocho as Kiryu vibe now... kiryu treats host clubs of men and hostess clubs of women pretty equally, theyre for Entertainment but not brothels, kiyru and majima both do those kind of quests thatd feel equivalent to dancing or putting on a show, so like... remakes version of the honeybee in feels more like a modern host club maybe, with a city customer clientel that doesnt judge each other and sees it as The Best club. Versus original honeybee inn that felt a lot more like mainly a brothel catering to rich men, then men who could get in, with special services for customers with more niche needs like the bath or like Palmer and other particular requests. This new one, Aerith could go in and book a room with a honeyboy or honeygirl or both and ? I assume get entertained and a flirty date sort of ordeal. Yes im reading too much into this lol. Just fascinating to me the differences they made. I think Andrea was overall a positive addition, himself personally, but the changes he entailed alsl change the entire atmosphere of wallmarket into something CLASSY when the original game kind of used honeybee inn to show how Dangerous and Adult wallmarket was, how there were less rules there, and so when you get to don corneo and a sex dungeon and an Actual Dungeon and hear hes kidnapped and imprisoned girls youre less surprised cause the place has felt like and area all kinds of people could get kidnapped, sold shoddy deals, and laws arent maintaining anything only money is. With ALL of the new Big Three in wallmarket, in the remake it feels more classy more organized and more like a visit to Vegas or Kamurocho rather than a lawless Don controlled area).
