A Loyal Dog
This one is for the lovely @bonnie-lover123 ! Thank you for the request!
Tumblr media
You didn’t see the little bear in the vents when you were running. You didn’t see the red paw and dyed claws reach between the bent bars, not until they were curved around your calf, easily tearing through the skin and muscle. With a cry, you collapse to the floor, leg burning too hot to support any weight you try to put on it.
“ANGEL!” Dogday called, somewhere overhead.
You gritted your teeth, crawling forward, towards the last room you needed. Perhaps splitting up wasn’t the best idea. Two batteries, two of you, easy to do. Send Dogday up while you ran around the ground floor, evading Catnap’s prowl and red gas clouds.
Yet now here you were. You reached the room, the battery shining through the darkness at you. It illuminated the surrounding area, just barely, so you could see the shifting shadows. A body stalked just outside, eyes glittering just above the broken wall.
Catnap graveled out to you. Your eyes darted about, but there was nowhere to run. You were caged. You only had one option, one you hated to resort to.
“DOGDAY!” You shrieked, startling the cat. “HELP!”
“ANGEL!” Dogday shouted back.
You called for him. Dogday’s ears rang with the sound of your voice, full of fear and pain. He could see Catnap down below, shaking his head out. A blood smear beneath his feet, leading into the room before him, where you must be.
Catnap braced on the broken wall, and reached inside.
“DOGDAY!” You cried again.
Dogday didn’t hesitate a second time. His angel needed help, and he needed to protect them. None of this would end if he didn’t do something about it. So Dogday dropped off the rafters, flung himself down onto Catnap’s emaciated back. The ridges of the cat’s vertebrae stabbed into his stomach, but Dogday didn’t care.
His momentum took the cat down, and if he was down, then he was on Dogday’s level.
With a bark, Dogday bit onto Catnap’s shoulder, hard enough to feel something crack. Catnap yowled, so high pitched and loud that Dogday felt his ears would bleed. But he didn’t let go, not until Catnap flipped over, slamming his own weight onto Dogday.
The sharp edges of exposed bone were not cushion by the thin skin stretched across them, leaving Dogday aching horribly where hit. Still, he quickly rightened, positioning himself in front of the door. His fur bristled, and he barked again at the pacing cat before him.
“Stay away from them, Catnap.” He growled, so tense he felt he could snap. “Do not touch my angel, or I will tear you apart, even without my legs.”
“Heretic.” Catnap spat.
“Hypocrite.” Dogday barked back.
Catnap hissed, swiping with his claws. Dogday easily dodged the halfhearted attack, and dove forward again to grab the wrist between his jaws. Even if Catnap didn’t want to kill him, he wouldn’t allow the cat a chance to touch his angel.
He bit hard, and felt the wrist snap too.
Catnap jerked his arm back, nearly throwing Dogday across the floor with it. Gas poured out his mouth in red waves, but Dogday was immune by now. Drowsiness was shaken off, staved by hot, bright anger.
“I won’t let you kill them.” Dogday panted, hoping you were conscious enough to put your mask on. “Not like you killed the others. Not like you killed our friends.”
Catnap flinched back. “Heretics.”
“Innocent!” Dogday howled. “You killed them! And you won’t kill anymore, not if I have a say in it. I’ll kill you before you lay another hand on them!”
Catnap remained silent. The gas stopped, but his stare still burned into Dogday’s very being. The quiet was too loud, but neither filled it. As the gas dispersed into the gaps in the wall, rising into the rafters, Catnap turned.
And he walked away.
“They will die,” he said, not looking back, “whether you try or not. Do not be stupid.”
With that, Catnap turned the corner, and disappeared.
Dogday sighed, only once he was sure Catnap was gone. Even after, he backed up into the room with you slowly, eyes forward in case this was a trick.
When he felt your hand on his side, he turned, seeing you with your mask up. Your smile was like the sun, even if you were paled and shaky.
“Good boy.” You joked quietly, stroking his fur. “You protected me, and scared Catnap off.”
“I won’t let him hurt you.” Dogday promised. He lowered, pressing his head to yours. “You saved me, so I’m going to save you. Let’s go, angel. I got the other battery. There should be somewhere to patch up through the locked door.”
You stood, and braced against Dogday, started back towards your objective.
And you never felt safer.

Tumblr media
This was the first time since your wedding that you would be alone with Gojo Satoru. No servants, no maids, just purely you and him.
This wouldn’t have happened if the elders from both sides of your family were a little more patient.
“Did you consummate your marriage yet?” “Do you feel nauseous?” “How many weeks is it?” They bombarded you both with questions; he just stared at you as if it was your responsibility as his wife to answer them.
“My lord, my lady, we haven’t done our duties yet… Please give us more time,”
The elders scoffed in irritation as they explained how Gojo was made just the night after his parents’ wedding and complained about your incompetence.
“Think about the bloodline dear! it is your duty!” They warned you like he was going to die tomorrow.
“How about we stay on one of our estates for a week? Just me and my wife? Would that suffice?” Gojo proposed.
The elders looked at each other as they weighed the pros and cons of his suggestion.
“Very well. If it takes that long for her to carry your child, then we shall wait patiently for that to happen,” they finally agreed.
And that’s how you got yourself into this situation. You and him, in an estate where the servants’ quarters are quite far from the main house.
You were quiet the whole trip there. Since the wedding, he has never been staying beside you for long hours.
His phone rang in the middle of the ride, to which he answered it.
“Hello? Suguru? Could you substitute me for teaching the first years? Those walking skeletons kept bugging me with their demands again,”
You chuckled at the word ‘walking skeletons’, which he noticed, he turned to you and you looked at him, the awkward silence filled the car until Suguru broke it through the phone.
“Ya still there Satoru?” Suguru asked from the other line.
“Yeah, I was distracted; so, about the substitution, ya’ up for it?”
“Sure! How hard is it to teach a few kids?”
“Okay then! I leave it up to you now, bye!”
Throughout the whole conversation, you were looking out the window, looking at the beautiful view of the mountains and rivers.
     “Pretty isn’t it?” He asked.
     “Yes, it does.” You respond.
You see a mansion in the distance. You looked into it in awe as the entire view was mesmerizing.
“See that over there?” he pointed at the mansion. “That’s where we’ll be staying, the servant’s quarters are quite far, so be sure you’re settled once nighttime sets, it’s a hassle going back and forth just to call them.
You felt his breath just behind your ear. Turning to him, he was so close to you. You flinched as this was the first time he was ever so close to you.
“You look like you just saw a ghost,” He laughed, “How cute,”
“You have white hair!” you shout, “anyone would mistake you for a ghost!”
He placed his hand on his heart and acted as if he had a heart attack.
“Ouch! Baby that hurts!” he proclaimed.
You had forgotten about his dramatic behavior since graduation. It is at this moment that you are reminded that he has never changed.
“We’re here!!!” He yelled in excitement.
He got out of the car and went to your door to open it. He reached out his hand to you.
“Well? Aren’t you gonna get out?” He teased.
You snapped back. “Yeah, sorry,” you took his hand and got out of the car.
You look at the mansion and behold its beauty, then turn your head to see the servants’ quarters from the distance.
“Why are the quarters far away from the main house?” You question.
“This house was used as a honeymoon getaway for newly married couples,” He turned to you and lowered his head just beside your ear. “Don’t wanna traumatize them with noises, do we?” He chuckled.
You breathed deeply as you tried to comprehend the uses of this house.
“My ancestors, my grandparents, my parents, they did it here, and now, it’s our turn! Isn’t this exciting?” He teased.
     “To you…” You replied.
After you both spent your time exploring parts of the house and enjoying the view from the balconies, it was nearing sunset, and there were only very few servants left since the others walked to their quarters.
By the time the servants had all left, it was just you and him. When you settled in your shared bedroom, he was in the bathroom probably cleaning himself after the exhausting trip. When you try to take off your clothes, you realize there is a zipper at the back.
Well shit…
When he got out of the bathroom, only clothed in a towel on his lower body, he noticed you weren’t in your bathrobe yet.
“Well? Aren’t you gonna take a bath?” he says.
     “Help… Me…” you plead.
     “What’s it about this time?”
     “Unzip my dress, please”
Gojo went behind you to unzip your dress. He was caught off guard when he saw your bare skin. He felt like a Victorian man seeing a woman’s ankles for the first time during that moment.
His fingers lightly traced your skin before he lowered his head to kiss your shoulders.
You gasp at the feeling of his lips on your skin, tracing down to your arms as he showered you with kisses while his arms wrapped around you. He turned you around as he continued kissing your collarbone- even sucking it- until it left hickeys.
     “Gojo I-“
     “Satoru… Call me Satoru,”
     “Satoru,” you moan.
He finally finished unzipping the dress and it fell to the ground, your naked body, with only your panties on, was left for him to see.
You looked down in embarrassment, but he lifted your chin up to look at him, his blue eyes seemed to have a soft glow in the dark room.
His lips crashed into yours, kissing you aggressively. You fell into the bed but he was still kissing you, one hand gripping your arm as the other fondled your breast.
His kisses went down to your nape, you gasped as this new sensation of pure bliss overwhelmed you.
“Fuck baby… didn’t know this side of ya’”
He was sucking on your nipple as his hand drew circles at the other. You pushed his head deeper into your chest as the feeling was so good.
He traced his hand down to your clothed cunt. He pressed your pussy and felt the soaking wet texture.
You moaned loudly as the feeling of his warm hands pressed your clit.
“All I did was kiss and touch you, and you’re already this wet?” He chuckled. “How adorable,”
He pulled your panties down and he spread your legs apart. His fingers lightly drew circles on your clit, making you moan.
He pushed his finger deep inside your tight entrance, looking for your G-spot. You screamed when his finger touched a part inside you that felt sensitive.
“Found it,”
He inserted two fingers this time, stretching your hole as he curled his fingers on your G-spot, earning him loud moans and whimpers from you.
“’toru!!!”
You tried closing your legs but he just spread you open even wider as he continued playing with your pussy.
You tightly gripped the sheets as he continued fingering you.
You feel your orgasm coming as he doesn’t seem to slow down any further.
“Satoru I’m so close!!!”
“Fuuuuck… you take my fingers so well,” he cooed.
He moved his fingers inside you even faster, your moans got louder and louder until you screamed as you reached your limit.
Your juices were leaking all over the bed, and he was happy to lick your pussy clean.
You clench your thighs around his head as he ate you out like a starved man. He let out a groan as he continued lapping your cunt and gripping your thighs, you not being able to stay still made him go faster.
“Satoru! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!”
He spat on your clit and licked it clean. You were probably overstimulated at this point.
He gave you orgasm after orgasm after orgasm, and he did it using only his tongue and fingers.
He lifted his head and kissed you, making you taste your own juices.
“You taste so good love,” he cooed.
You didn’t have the strength to even reply to him. Your throat was sore from all the loud moans and screams you let out.
He untucked his towel, his exposed cock leaking pre-cum. He laid his dick flat on your stomach for you to see how deep he can reach you, almost reaching your navel.
He rubbed his tip on your clit as it leaked pre-cum on your pussy before slowly inserting it into your entrance. You whined as his dick almost reached your cervix.
“Satoru…”
“Shhh… I’ll go slow… I promise,”
He slowly thrusts inside you, letting you get used to his size. His dick alone already made you so full.
He placed his body on top of you as you dug your nails onto his back.
He started increasing his speed as you got used to his size.
Your moans, along with his have been the only noise heard in the room.
“Shit princess… This pussy’s so tight like it was made f’ me,”
He kissed you as he rammed his dick inside you for quite a while without even taking a break.
You slowly feel his rhythm going unstable.
He’s almost there.
After one last rough thrust, he released his seed inside you- even spilling out of you, to which he gladly shoved it back inside.
“Can’t miss a single drop,”
He grabbed a wet towel to wipe your body before he carried you to the bathroom to give you a warm bath before cuddling him to bed.
The next morning, you were awoken by the smell of fresh flowers and pancakes. You woke up to find him preparing your breakfast in bed.
“Mornin’! Slept well?” he asks.
“Mhmm!”
“Well, I made you breakfast! Hope you like it!” he exclaimed.
He fed you a spoonful of the pancake before he wiped your mouth, handing you some milk after that.

could we possibly get some frat!peter x reader domestic bliss after they become official?
i scrapped this, but it fits what you called for
You stopped Peter’s hands on your hips, holding them steady, you broke the kiss before he could pull them off.
“I’m on my period,” you mumbled against his mouth, in turn he pushed you off his lap, his hand wiping across his mouth.
“Yuck!”
You whine at his reaction and paw for his hands so you could intertwine them, he bats yours away and gags.
“You can’t kick me out during shark week anymore! I’m your girlfriend now!” Peter stops fighting your hands at your claim and you nosedive into his chest, wrapping his arms around yourself.
“You use that word to get you out of everything now.”
You trace his facial features with your index finger, running down the bridge of his nose and over his bottom lip.
“It comes with the territory, aren’t you so glad you asked me?”
Peter lifts his neck up and gives you a kiss softer than you’re used to, you stay puckered after he pulls away. He follows you back in for one more chaste kiss.
“The gladist, even if you’re a human ketchup packet right now.”
You bite at his shoulder for the chirp, he whines and shrugs you off with an “ow!” You smile into his skin and place a barely there kiss as an apology.
A sudden cramp makes you hiss, you nuzzle into Peter’s chest and breathe him in. The pain radiates out your back, you curl in tighter to your boyfriend.
Peter’s hand grazes down to pull your shirt up, when it’s bunched to your neck he slowly rubs down your back and dances his fingertips up your spine. You hum and smile into his skin, a treat you’re not used to. Situationship, hookup Peter wouldn’t dare touch you so intimately without the guise of sex beforehand.
 “How’s my girl feeling?”
Your stomach clenches but not from a cramp.
“‘M okay, thank you.” You’re not thanking him for checking in, you’re thanking him for being there for you and comforting you the best way he can.
Peter rests his palm on your lower back, his body heat seeping in and bringing momentary relief. While one hand supports your back the other one was brought to your head, his fingers scratching at your scalp and you melt even further into his chest.
You sigh happily, “such special treatment, is this because you’re my boyfriend now or cause you feel bad for me?”
He doesn’t answer your question directly, he presses a kiss to your hairline. “You can get a cuddle anytime you want, trouble.” You accept the answer and twist so you're tucked into his side instead. Your finger traces patterns into his chest.
“Guess this one,” Peter focuses on your touch, he hums when you stop. “Cat?”
“Yes! Hold on… what about that one?”
“Bunny?” You shake your head, “dog.” Peter scoffs, “big ass ears,” you poke your finger into his ribs, he yelps and pinches your side.
“One more, ready?” Peter pulls your hand to his face and presses a kiss, “now I’m ready.”
It’s a distinct shape, one that makes his breath catch.
“Guess?”
Peter shakes his head, you figured this would be an easy one. You draw again, he closes his eyes as you do it.
Right on his chest, where it normally lies, you drew a heart. You’re none the wiser to his panic, you smile brightly at him.
Rather than answer he flips you so you’re on your back, his finger draws a heart over your own, then places a kiss in the center. And right when you think he’s going to bust at the seams, make a loud declaration, he nuzzles into your neck and blows a raspberry.
“Peter!” You try to push his chin away, he doubles down and races a hand over your rib cage and you laugh as he attacks you in a tickle.
You laugh and roll around trying to get away from him, at the last second you groan and hold your tummy. Your boyfriend stops and looks you over, “cramps?”
You nod and pout at him, Peter flops with his back towards the bed, then pats his chest. You follow the call and before you could lay next to him he stops you with a raised hand.
“Shirt off,” you raise your eyebrows but listen to his command. When you present your naked chest his arm scoops you up and presses your head into his chest.
You snuggle in and kiss his opposite bicep, his hands rubbing themselves up and down the slope of your spine, pausing when you melt into him and letting his heat ooze into your skin.

Ordinary Love Story
Ghostface has his eye on you. You have your eye on someone else, someone who goes by the name Ethan Landry. The nerdy, curly haired boy who took your heart. Little do you know, he was one of three behind the mask.
Part II
Warnings: gore, dubcon, yandere-ish? ethan, somewhat naive reader,
Ethan Landry x f!reader
Tumblr media
In his head, this was like any other love story. Boy goes to college, boy meets girl, girl befriends him, boy falls for girl, boy has a hard time making girl fall for him. But tonight, it was the first time you finally began to fall. When you saw him and his eyes locked onto yours, you felt that weakness in your knees. It wasn’t long before you fell, all because of him.
His eyes watched you, while everything around the two of you moved at a fast pace, his eyes slowed and focused on you. He took notice of the beads of sweat on your skin, the way your chest was heaving up and down- your struggle to breathe, he even noticed your piercing scream when he approached. Your arms flailed, trying desperately to fight him off as he stepped towards you. His hands grabbed your wrist, the black fabric leaving a stinging carpet burn against your skin at how tightly he held onto you. “Shut. Up,” The voice behind the mask seethed out, to you the words were filled with venom and a promise that you would be dead soon, to him- it broke everything in him to have such a tone when speaking to you.
You let out a cry, kicking your feet helplessly as his other hand clamped over your mouth. When you had stepped away from the group, you hadn’t expected to see a mangled guy in Quinn’s bathroom tub. You had to use the restroom and the others were taken in the apartment, so Quinn was your last resort, unlucky for you- this one was taken as well. Quinn was on the floor, you couldn’t even tell who’s blood was who’s, which only made you even more scared and nauseous. However, when you saw the masked figure in the corner, you fell on the bloodied tiled floor, and with no other experiences where you had to fight for your life, your bodied panicked and shut down. Panic attacks were common for you, you just wished that this once it had happened at a better time. “You want to survive, don’t you,” the killer asked, you barely understood them but nodded anyways.
“then shut the fuck up and play along,” they told you, your eyes darted to the black holes in their mask, searching for their eyes, searching for humanity. You weren’t lucky in finding it, your vision was blurred thanks to the adrenaline in your veins, so you stayed quiet and complied, hoping it would at least buy you time.
“Good girl,” a hummed praise made it’s way to your ears, you sucked in another breath as you felt their knife run across your body. “Don’t move,” they said, their voice once again harsh as they made tears in your clothes, their knife was still bloodied, leaving the warm liquid against your skin and clothes. “Just stay still for me, you’ll make it out alive,” another hum left them, another nod left you.
It seemed like a game, one a cat plays with a mouse, entertain your prey before the final killing strike. You didn’t know if they were toying with you, making you pliable and all that much more fun to kill when they see that look of betrayal on your face. What you never guessed however was their want to pull off the mask, to let you see his face when he told you everything would be okay, to promise to you that no one would harm you.
When he was done dressing you in the blood, making sure you looked like a proper victim of ghostface- one he didn’t get the chance to ruin yet- he got up. “Don’t make a fucking noise. One noise and you’re done, along with your friends,” they threatened, you nodded. You flinched as they cleaned the knife, a small chuckle leaving his lips. At that moment you two heard noises near the door, you closed your eyes, holding your hands over your mouth to ensure you wouldn’t let out a cry for help.
You heard the door open, screams, and the rest of your friends panicking.
It felt like hours passed by until you heard the sirens. You heard footsteps, you saw an officer. You saw him break down as he saw Quinn’s body along with the scene in the tub. Another officer helped you out of the room, you saw the black body bags being wheeled out of the apartment. It was a little longer until you saw the rest of the group, minus Anika.
Before you even had the chance to step out of the back of the ambulance and asked what happened, Ethan approached the group only to get manhandled and questioned by Chad. Your eyebrows raised in surprise at his accusatory tone, watching Ethan trip over his words and try to explain himself. At the mention of econ, you remembered the nerdy boy asked you a question about some of the assignments given to you, going up to Chad and placing your hand on his back. “He’s not lying, he asked me for help just an hour or something before, a-about econ,” you said, Chad looking at you with narrowed eyes before backing off of Ethan.
Ethan coughed, looking to you and moving closer. “Uh, thanks, I appreciate you helping me out of a beating,” he thanked you, making you smile slightly for the first time in hours. “Is…is everything okay, I mean. Obviously not but…” Ethan gave up on speaking, looking to you expectantly. You sighed, feeling your eyes well up with tears as you shrugged. “I mean, I’m…physically okay, they- it…it was weird,” you spoke, gaining his interest when he tilted his head up.
“weird,” he questioned, you nodded.
“They, they let me survive…this, the clothes- they’re not…from them stabbing me,” you explained, pointing to the tears and bloodied holes in your clothes. Ethan’s eyes tracked over your body, taking in the sight of you, his eyes sparkling as he looked you over. “Why?” He asked, you shrugged.
“I’m not sure…they just- told me to shut up and I would live,” a sigh escaped you as Ethan hummed, moving with you to the rest of the group. “I’m glad they let you live, it must’ve been hell last night for you,” he said as you brought your hand up to your face, wiping away your tears. “Yeah, felt like forever,” you said, leaning on his shoulder, feeling exhaustion take over you. He welcomed in the small touch, letting you rest against him, his hand slowly wrapping around you to help you stand. The rest of the group were talking, trading ideas on what to do, who it was, why they were targeting you guys. Even Ethan’s name came up a few times from Mindy and Chad, which didn’t sit easy in your stomach. You didn’t like their accusations, but at the same time it was hard to stomach the thought that the vicious killer was him.
“Shit, Ethan, can I use your phone? I had…I had a class today,” you asked, to which Ethan gladly gave his phone to you. You went to safari, going onto the school’s website and putting in your login information, not noticing that the one already logged in wasn’t under the name Ethan Landry.

First Time for Everything
A Bones & All inspired fanfic
Warnings: stealing money, being attacked, cannibalism (relax it's a bones and all inspired fic), blood, gore, not proofread
Tumblr media
July 1989
You’d never stolen anything before. Not even when your friends would go into a Walmart and shoved nail polish and thongs into their purses. They always called you a goody-two-shoes or a scaredy-cat. You wonder what they’d think now as you carry a K-mart bag full of cash from the register you were working at not even 30 minutes ago.
Of course, being newly homeless generated a whole new incentive to steal the money. And even though it was so out of the norm for you, it was so easy. You waited until your line was clear, pulled open a bag, popped the till and calmly grabbed every stack of bills in the register, pocketing what wouldn’t fit. Then, you flipped off your register light and walked out. It wasn’t until you made it to the parking lot that you began to run. And now, the adrenaline high you are coming down from is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. They’ll never suspect you. Not with you being the golden employee that you are. Were. You can’t go back there now.
It’s getting dark, that along with the pointy tips of crumpled up money poking your thigh from the inside of your pockets snaps you out of your thoughts. This morning, you were worried about where you’d stay. It wasn’t the first time you got kicked out of a hotel room, and it probably won’t be the last, but at least now you can afford a new room for the night. If you can find one.
It's hot, one of the hottest nights so far this July. You pull off the thick K-mart polo and throw it into woods, leaving you in your black cami and a pair of khakis. A chorus of cicadas singing from the trees in that line the street almost drowns out the sound of a flirty whistle from behind you. You walk a little faster, not daring to turn your head.
"Hey, little lady," a man's gravelly voice calls out. "Why don't you keep the show going and take the rest off." The man laughs, but it's cut short by a painful sounding cough.
You pick up speed, your Converse slapping the pavement as you quickly turn into an alley, hoping to lose him by your abrupt change in direction, but a thick hand grabs your wrist.
"Let me go!" You yell, attempting to yank your wrist from his sweaty grip.
The man seems to enjoy the struggle, he tightens his fingers around your wrist as he pushes you into a warm brick wall. A tall streetlamp shines an eerie orange light into the alley, barely illuminating the man's features. He's got dark hair, stringy with sweat and grease. One of his eyes is missing and the other is open wide. He looks hungry. Ravenous. And the laugh that rumbles in his throat is truly sinister.
"Keep goin', darlin'. I love a good fight."
Then his tongue is on your neck, tasting your skin. You sob and gag as you inhale the scent of his breath. Sour with alcohol and something metallic.
"Come on, honey. Don't fight me, I just wanna taste-"
"Hey!" A new man's voice yells. "Hey, get off her!"
The man's grip on your wrist loosens enough for you to pull away from him. You take your chance and make a run for it. You dropped your bag of money when Man Number One shoved you against the wall, but you can't risk turning back around. You just have to make it ou-
You're stopped short by a hand in your hair, pulling your head back, bending you almost in half. You scream as Man Number One drags you. He's pulling you by your hair, your heels dig into the ground in front of you, desperately attempting to gain some traction. Your only view is upside down and distorted through the tears building up in your eyes. But, in the dim orange light you see the other man. He's peeling himself off of the ground and his nose is dripping blood onto a forest green crop top. His jeans are shredded, exposing a large amount of his legs, you're not sure if it's because he just fell or if the jeans are just naturally like that or why you're even wondering about the nature of his jeans. He's got a brick in his hand that he's attempting to hide, but even upside down you can see it. You see him look down at you and for some reason he winks. Then you realize, Man Number One can't see him.
Crop Top walks creeps up onto Man Number Two, like a lion stalking his prey. Then, without warning, he slams the brick into the side of his skull with a wet crunch. Instantly, you're dropped to the ground and as much as the landing hurt, the relief feels twice as good. Your scalp throbs and you're sure you're missing a chunk of hair. A set of light footsteps run toward you, and immediate dread sets in again, but it's Crop Top. He grabs you, throwing you over his shoulder. You're not sure if you should be scared or relieved as he places you behind a dark green dumpster.
Crop Top kneels down, looking over his shoulder once to make sure Man Number One is still down.
"Is he-"
"Not yet. Stay here. Don't move until I come get you," Crop Top says. He drops a plastic bag next to you. The money. You're immediately shocked he didn't take it for himself. That's what most people would do. His knees pop a little as he stands back up. He starts to walk off but stops. "And don't watch."
Don't watch? Isn't that like an automatic invitation to watch? You think to yourself. You lean your head back on the brick and close your eyes. You could run right now. You could take your money and get a room for the night and leave this odd encounter right here in this alley, but you don't. Instead, you poke your head out, peeking from the side of the dumpster.
Immediately you wish you hadn't. Crop Top somehow dragged Man Number One and sat him up against the brick wall, maybe 15 feet from where you're sitting. How he did it, you're not sure. Crop Top probably weights 120 pounds soaking wet, but he's managed to maneuver him just right so that he can...
You pop your head back behind the dumpster, unsure of what you just saw. There's no way...
You poke your head out, peeking again. There's a squelching sound, followed by a spatter of blood coming from Man Number One's neck as Crop Top bites into it.
Okay, yeah. He's definitely eating him. This should definitely be a sign to run, right? But you aren't moving. Everything in you is screaming to run. Run the fuck away because this dude is going to eat you next. But you don't. You sit there alternating from watching and hiding. It's like one of those car accidents you can't help but watch, hoping you'll see a dead body, or some fucked up shit like that. You shouldn't want to look, but you do.
Finally, after what seems like an eternity, you hear footsteps approaching. You sit up straighter against the brick. His stops in front of you. His white high tops covered in blood and gore. Why would he pick white shoes to wear if he's going around munching on dudes.
"You looked, didn't you?" Crop Top asks.
"I uh..." you risk a look at his face. It's covered in blood. His upper lip, his mouth and his chin are coated in it. You swallow hard. "What are you?"
Crop Top crouches down again, eye level with you. "A person like you," he smiles. "Name's Lee." He holds out a bloody hand. You look down at it then back at him. "Oh," Lee says, wiping his hand off on his shirt, then offers it again. Still just as bloody as before.
"Are you gonna eat me too?" The question falls out of your mouth, you can't stop it. Word vomit.
Lee scrunches up his face, pursing his lips as he tilts his head to the side, contemplating your question. "Mmmm, probably not. Unless you've done something really shitty..." Lee eyes your bag of money with an arched eyebrow and you shift a little.
"My name's Y/N."
"You work at K-mart, Y/N?"
"No," you answer too quickly.
"I've seen you there. A lot."
"I don't work there anymore," you say. "You've been watching me?"
"Every day for like two weeks or some shit," Lee says, like it's no big deal. Though up against eating a whole human, it's probably not. "That your first-time stealing from money from your job?"
You open your mouth, the urge to defend yourself creeping up your throat, but you cut it short. You just watched this man eat someone.
"It's my first time," you admit.
"No shit? Well, Y/N, there's a first time for everything." At this point you notice the grey grocery bag he's carrying. It's full and tied up, dripping slightly with thick red liquid. "Bones and shit," Lee says, and tosses the bag into the dumpster. It lands with a heavy, wet thud. "You got anywhere to be tonight, y/n?"
"Not really, no."
"Not really?"
"I'm homeless," you admit.
"Perfect, let's go."
This time Lee grabs your hand and pulls you up. You grab your bag of money and walk with him looking behind you every so often to make sure no one is following.
"Where are we going?" You ask.
"For a ride," Lee says smiling as he jangles a pair of car keys in front of your face. "Nabbed these off of fuck face back there before he tried to eat you."
"He tried to-"
"Oh, he was going to eat you real good. You're lucky I've been following you."
"How-"
"Shh save your questions, I'll answer all of them when we find his car."
"We're gonna steal his car too?" You ask. The amount of crime you've been involved in today is beginning to overwhelm you.
"You've never stolen a car?"
You shake your head.
Lee smiles. "I think we're gonna have a lot of first times, Y/N."

Month 13 - Newleaf
“You'll watch her the whole time?” Russetfrond was saying to Pantherhaze. “I don’t want anything to happen while I’m gone.”
“I will, I promise,” said Pantherhaze offering a wilted-looking smile. “Please, just go enjoy the Gathering.”
“I won’t cause any trouble,” Mystique said, sitting beside her guard for the night. She offered a smile of her own to the deputy and he scowled in response. She still didn’t understand why he was so angry with her all the time or why he seemed to think she was going to turn around and attack them the first chance she got.
“You’d better not,” he growled.
“Come on, Russetfrond,” called Goldenstar from across the camp. Almost half of the cats had gathered on the slope of the hill - Goldenstar, Yarrowshade, Sagetooth, Ospreymask, and Floodpaw - and they were waiting expectantly for Russetfrond to join them. He huffed and gave Mystique one more pointed glare before stalking off to join them. She frowned .
“Have fun!” called Barleypaw.
“Will do!” Ospreymask called back.
After another beat, the group turned and headed out. Mystique yawned and stretched and looked over at her guard.
“So where are they all off to again?”
“The Gathering,” said Pantherhaze as if that answered the question.
“Okay…” she raised a brow. “That’s not vague or anything.”
“It’s a meeting between the different Clans,” he supplied. “Every full moon they go and-”
Sparrowpaw called over to them, “I’m not sure Russetfrond would approve of telling her all that.” He looked a bit anxious as he shifted his weight from foot to foot.
“It’s fine,” said Branchbark, laid out in the grass with Aldertail. “If she stays for too much longer, she’ll figure it out anyway.”
“Yeah, and besides,” Mystique said, “It’s not like I’m gonna try and kill you all or anything. I don’t know why everyone keeps acting like I’m some big threat.” Her eyes caught movement as Aldertail squirmed uncomfortably.
There was a small, uncomfortable silence that baffled her, but eventually Scorch spoke up from the warriors’ den. “If you still don’t get it then you’re being dumb on purpose.” She strolled over to the prey pile and hunched beside it to inspect the options, tail swishing with all of the confidence that she had wielded back in the city. Mystique’s eyes couldn’t help but be drawn to space where her Name Charm should be.
She considered shooting back but held her tongue. She still wasn’t sure where she stood with Scorch and she didn’t want any good-natured ribbing to be taken as an insult. Instead she cleared her throat and looked away, returning to her den in a way she tried to make casual instead of defeated. Scorch smirked and Mystique knew she hadn’t succeeded.
Pantherhaze followed her and settled down outside the door. The rest of the cats in camp went back to what they had been doing. Scorch picked a fish from the pile and ate it on the Stoneperch. The apprentices finished their own meals and went off into the night together. Branchbark slowly convinced Aldertail to relax again and started grooming her pelt. Mystique watched them and chewed the side of her cheek in frustration.
Why was she such an outsider here? She was fun and personable wasn’t she? Why did it feel like she had a symbol of doom hovering above her head that only other people could see? She wished her Folk were nearby. She wanted nothing more than to be pet and coddled. She sighed and flopped her head onto her legs. Pantherhaze tilted his head to look at her.
“Are you alright?” he asked.
“No,” she groaned. “Am I dumb?” She tilted her head to look at him.
“Oh, no, I’m sure you’re not,” he said, which wasn’t the most reassuring thing in the world. “Don’t let Scorchplume bother you too much. She can be…. Prickly.”
Mystique shifted to face him more squarely. “No, but she’s right, isn’t she? I mean, what am I missing? Clearly it’s something or everyone wouldn’t treat me like I was a sprinkler waiting to go off.”
“A what?” he tilted his head in confusion like a puppy.
“A sprinkler,” she brushed the thought away with her tail. “It sprays water on a patch of grass or flowers.”
“Weird,” he frowned.
“Look, that’s not the point!” she shook her head, “What’s wrong with me?”
“What’s-” the little warrior blundered, “I don’t-”
“Ugh,” she rolled her eyes. She heaved herself to her feet and started across the camp towards Branchbark. “Hey!” Pantherhaze scrambled to keep up with her. At the sound of her voice, Aldertail shrank into a ball again. It was, honestly, really annoying.
“Uh-” Branchbark glanced between her and Aldertail, unsure what to do.
“I’ve got a question for you,” said Mystique. “Why does everyone think I’m a secret murderer or something?” Branchbark swallowed hard and sat up taller, giving Aldertail better cover and lifting his face up onto the level with Mystique’s.
“Um, because you’re a rogue?” he said like it was a question.
“What is that?” she pressed. “I’m a rogue? Since when?”
“It’s just a word we use for dangerous groups of cats,” said Pantherhaze, tail twitching.
“Okay, but what makes me so dangerous?” she said. From her spot above them all, Scorch laughed.
“Well, all the kittypets we’ve met so far have it out for us?” said Branchbark in the same tone. “They’ve been starving us out, they’re trying to kill Aldertail…”
“Well, okay, but she’s a criminal,” Mystique scoffed. “Besides, it's not like I’m gonna attack her right now for no reason.”
“You’ve contradicted yourself,” Scorch called airily. Mystique glared over, not appreciating the attitude she was giving.
“Yeah,” agreed Branchbark, “you just said you wouldn’t attack her for no reason but you admitted you think other cats have a reason to hurt her.” His tone was getting bolder, his jaw set with a defiant edge.
“Well, that’s not-” Mystique tried.
“And!” Branchbark kept talking, a fire starting to grow in him, “And, she didn’t even do anything! Her brother is the one who committed the crime!” Behind him Aldertail was shaking visibly. Her tail was tucked underneath her, her ears pressed flatly against her skull.
“I-it was an accident anyway!” she cried shakily, hiding under her own paws. “He didn’t mean it, he didn’t-!” The kittens had poked their heads out of the nursery to watch. Branchbark wrapped his tail tightly around her and leaned down to run his tongue over her forehead.
“Hey, it’s okay,” he said softly, “take a deep breath.”
“Right, but-” Mystique took a step back, “Look, I didn’t do anything though! I don’t know why you’re angry at me.”
“Exactly,” Scorch snapped, rising to her full height. “You didn’t do anything.” She stared at Mystique burning those words into her with eyes of blue flame. Mystique’s tail started to lash anxiously.
“What was there to do?” she said, “I’d never even met her before now!”
Scorch scoffed and leaped down to stride up to the group of cats. “You think you’re so good ‘cause you never do anything wrong but you never do anything right either. Razor and his pig-headed friends bully and kill and worse every day and you just pretend not to see it.”
“I don’t-” Mystique’s stomach was tight. The recesses of her mind were screaming. No! Leave now! You’re too close to the shadow truth! She took another step back.
Scorch followed her into the empty space, staring up at her. “You just sat by and let him. You’ll claim you didn’t see anything but you didn’t want to see it! I don’t know what’s worse, honestly; Razor, pretending he’s done nothing wrong, or you, pretending to believe him.” Mystique’s fur bristled and the words stung, sinking deep into her and piercing holes in the wall protecting her from the shadow truth. She’s right, it hissed, bubbling up within her.
Scorch was still going. “Tell me, Mystique: What will you do when he comes to kill us all? To drag me back? Will you shuffle your paws and turn away as he slaughters these cats? Will you go back to your Folk and forget it ever happened? Will you still convince yourself you were good?”
Mystique reeled. “No,” she said on instinct. “No, of course not, I-”
“Really?” Scorch laughed. “That’s what you’ve done every other day of your life! Why change now?”
‘Cause… ‘Cause I wouldn’t, Mystique thought, but no words managed to get through the chokepoint of her throat. How did she know that? She tried to imagine what she would do if Razor showed up in one of his tempers. The thought was paralyzing and that wasn’t a good sign. The shadow truth was starting to swallow her whole. He isn’t a good cat, it whispered, you know this. It’s been here the whole time. You don’t just know this, you have known. Her stomach roiled terribly.
Suddenly, Pantherhaze was shoving himself between her and Scorchplume. “Hey, ease off,” he said, his little voice firm as he could make it. Scorch curled her lip, glanced at Mystique one more time, and then turned around.
“Fine,” she said as if she were perfectly satisfied, “I said my piece.” She swished back up to the top of the Stoneperch to finish her meal, brows lifted imperiously. To Mystique, she felt vacant somehow. She didn’t have much time to examine why though. Pantherhaze turned to her, looking concerned.
“Why don’t we go back to the den?” he said gently and she just nodded. Branchbark was glaring at her while Aldertail clung to him like she was drowning, shivering in fear. The kittens were staring. Mystique ducked her head and, like a coward, fled back to the safety of her cage.

Are we getting a third part for yandere demon slayer as cats? 🥺
Tumblr media
KNY Kitties | 3
For a while, a new routine seemed to be established
With Magenta making more occasional visits
The cats seemed to be less…frazzled if that was the word
You were still trying to find out where the hole was this cat kept escaping from
But every time you set up a camera a fluffy white tail or adorable kitten’s licking on the lens
Your dearest friend continued to stay on her vacation, meaning a fluffy and highly groomed Douma got to stay longer
While it seemed Snowflake (Rui) didn’t mind the beauty, the other kittens seemed to despise him
Which had you worried
You figured between Magenta and Waterbug they had some reference but even you were aware that these two tended to be irregular at times
“Maybe you kittens need a few more role models…”
So to remedy this you take up more cat-sitting typically from your neighbors and friends you’d become a cat dealer to
“Alright, everybody let’s welcome our guests! This is Poser, Crybaby, Cherry Blossom, and Fire Streak!”:
The flashy Hashira proudly posed as he watched himself be recognized by the burgundy and ombre kittens. As well as the blue-eyed cat who perked up with familiarity. The reunion for Tanjiro was a great motivator; since he had become a kitten his goals have been very short-sided. Be pet, be held, be groomed, fall asleep, get (Y/n)’s attention–it sometimes concerned him but seeing the somewhat clear-headed Hashira loudly divulge ideas on how to get home, made him so happy. There was even talk of bringing you with which would be even better! He was sure Nezuko agreed as they both curled up next to Hinatsuru as Uzui divulged his plans for the future.
You monitored their actions a bit automatically pinpointing why they had their specific name. The Egyptian mau wearing your friend’s jewelry truly seemed to be something of a model, always making a point to pose as they chirped and meowed in the trailing kittens’ direction. The other three all females were overall really affectionate with the kittens even willing to groom Snowflake who had been lingering closely behind. You couldn’t help your chest flutter when the kittens were lulled to sleep in a pile of purs and watching the guarding formation that seemed to be taking place on the cat tree they had claimed their own.
Unfortunately not all the cats seemed to be getting along. The crew of four didn’t even acknowledge Waterbug, only giving him curt meows before loudly meowing to the kittens. While it was…sad it was nothing compared to their reaction to your friend's rainbow-eyed Turkish angora. Hissing, swiping, and actual attempts at his neck were made; none of which were discouraged by your form of punishment. No amount of separation and refused cuddles would stop them from fighting him off. And since they were the larger group you, unfortunately, gave them cuddle priority when they announced themselves in the room. Guarding the pile that had formed around you Poser wouldn’t allow Rainbow to be in the same space, sending meows of warning anytime he got too close. With tired eyes and rhythmic petting of someone’s head, you fell asleep.
‘I wonder how they’ll react to Magenta…?”
To say Muzan was unhappy with the sight before he would be an understatement. He slipped out for twelve hours and you’ve somehow brought in more cats?! He thought this season was over! Stalking in he had half a mind to attack the sleeping cats but his kittens were curled into them better yet you which had him confront the hashira on guard.
“What’s this? Does the demon king wish to confront me?//” Uzui quipped letting his spotted tail flick with aggressive intent. Whereas Muzan sat with narrowed eyes barely focusing on the cat in front of him and more so on you behind him.
“They are mine.//”
“Who is, demon?//”
“(Y/n) and the kittens clearly had my scent all over them.//”
The other cat gave the equivalent of a boisterous laugh, “Yours? Well if that’s how we’re measuring they’re mine now!//”
Muzan growled prepared to barrel past them to awaken you only to be stopped by two of his lackeys. Female cats with their claws withdrawn and defensive intention behind their stance. For once in a long time the demon king felt truly challenged as they refused to be intimidated.
“Do you know who I am!? You’ll regret ever crossing me! Getting in my way will be your undoing!//”
“Not now. Now we are on equal grounds.//” Hinatsuru’s voice was firm, her speckled fur bristled as she curled further into you, blocking Muzan’s sight of the kittens. “Face it, demon king. We are stronger here and much more equipped for caring for them. Stand. Down.//”
He hated how right she was and the cat’s fearful design begging him to back down. But he wrestled with his mind, his advantage against all who got in his way was the human-like form. Surely he was ahead of them! Able to imitate the authority of a human easily. It’d be a pleasure to watch them cower with regret. But a blue-eyed gaze had him hesitating in what would follow. What would he do if you awoke or if you noticed how much they fought against him would you notice? Would you care? Could he take being rejected by the one who plagues his mind with every waking moment?
He knew the answer.
So he turned away retreating to your hamper to bathe in your scent. This was a battle and not the war…he’d just had to bide his time. And while it was agony to see this time spent with you and the kittens bonding with demon slayer and shinobi; he could wait…couldn’t he?

(n): the deep emotional bond between people, especially those separated by distance or death.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thank you @jade-s-nymph for the opportunity on writing this!
Tumblr media
Fate does not favor anyone, especially towards heros and villains, so then why does it hate you? You have no past that you could remember as a ghost who happened to be woken up by students of a nearby school, you have no name for it had been scratched away by the hands of time.
You’re hurt, why couldn’t you have slept longer and not wake up? You do not belong to the mortal realm and do not feel as though you belonged there, so why have you been woken up? You feel an emotion, you feel… frustration.
“You… why have you woken me up?” Periwinkle eyes a lovely shade of purple, silver hair and a stone cold expression.
“How did I get roped into this…?” You’re puzzled by his words, wasn’t it him who woke you up from your sleep?
“Pay the price for waking me up, the living must pay for disturbing the dead” It doesn’t matter anymore who woke you up, you’ll just make the most of your time now that you’re awake.
“H-Hold on!” Not letting this chance slip by, you left the boy no chance to attack you. A mark you left on his neck, the mark of a ghost to reside, you’ve officially haunted him. “Damn it!”
Falling to the ground the boy struggled to stay awake, a side effect from receiving the mark, he and you are now bound. You can now freely travel from outside of your grave with how you’ve haunted this boy.
“I look forward to seeing the world with you, sleeping beauty.”
2 hours earlier…
In the festive season of Halloween, it was clear that this was the week of where the living and the dead connected, that is to say that ghost from the underworld go to visit the realm of the living as it is the only time of the year where they can freely do so.
“Come on Sebek! Let loose would ya?” Ace tried to persuade the green haired boy. “Can’t you just join us on this? It’s not like Malleus would mind.”
“Foolish human! Do you not know that the young master must be guarded at all cost?!” If it weren’t for the fact they were friends, Ace would love to duck tape Sebek’s mouth shut because of how loud he is.
“Just this once will you just chill out? You’ve got to chill” telling Sebek to chill is like talking to a wall, he ain’t listening to what others say.
The first years, more specifically Ace, Deuce, Epel, Howl, and Yuu we’re gonna summon a ghost at Ramshackle dorm and they were gonna convince Sebek to come along. Of course naturally, Sebek is a stubborn cabbage, a loud one at that.
“Just this once? I’m pretty sure Tsunotaro wouldn’t mind” Yuu begged hoping it would at least convinced Sebek, nothing moves Sebek unless it was Tsunotaro.
“They’re right, Sebek. Loosen up a bit and join them once in a while” Lilia who happened to be passing by, hung upside down eavesdropping on the conversation… technically it’s not eavesdropping anymore.
“Lilia-sama?! You too?!” Yuu somehow had gotten used to Lillia’s entrance was not fazed by the sudden jump scare, not the others though.
“I’ll take it from here~” Lilia smirked at the first years before turning back to face at Sebek properly, not upside down on the ceiling. “Malleus and I have a meeting with the queen later, which leaves you and Silver back at Diasomnia”
“Since you won’t be needed as we’ll be going for an entire week, I want you to have fun.”
“B-But-!” “No buts, I want you to join your friends and have fun Sebek, also you guys don’t mind if Silver joins right?” Till this day, Yuu could never understand how Sebek has a gap moe, he turns from angry chihuahua to a docile cat. Truly fascinating.
Present
The horrified looks on the faces of nearby students delighted you, you don’t know why though, maybe it was a common trait for all ghost to like scaring the crap out of the living? You hated the sound of screaming despite having no physical ears, the boys with a spade and a heart on their faces seemed to have hold back a… raccoon cat? Whatever it was it was screaming it’s head off begging not to be killed.
“By the sevens! Are all living being such snowflakes? You guys are loud and rude.” To have slept so long, and woke up to such a scene, you feel a bit irritated.
“W-we didn’t mean to disturb your sleep! So don’t harm Silver-senpai!!” You looked at the direction where the strange looking student pointed at and found the silver hair sleeping beauty, or in other words the person you’ve decided to haunt.
“Would you have preferred it if I haunt you instead?” The paled look on their faces told you they wouldn’t, but their actions seems to say otherwise.” Though even if I wanted to, I can’t just let go of this beauty that quickly.”
“Foolish ghost, let go of Silver immediately!” Another loud one, fearless and loud, what a headache.
“I won’t listen to you living beings, someone who has died like me can only wander around their grave once they are woken up, let me borrow this boy to travel will you?” that seemed to have trigger something because the wolf boy started getting defensive against you. “It’s useless talking to you aLL-!”
Suddenly you feel yourself being grabbed by someone, their grip on your pale ghost neck was strong, their aura was scaring you, even though you’ve died long ago and don’t even remember what death felt like just with those eyes you feel like you might know the pain of deat once more. Silver hair and auroral eyes, it looks like you’ve picked the wrong person to haunt.
“I don’t think I’ve ever had consent you to haunt me.” ‘Don’t say those things in such a scary face!’ was what you would have said, only if you weren’t so scared.
Tumblr media
Silver, the boy you're haunting, definitely was interesting, honestly anything was interesting to you since you don't even remember who you are and everything felt so new and alive. You didn't think you'd ever wake up but having to do so now you get to travel somewhere outside of your grave, but not too far away from the person you're haunting
"Are you done messing around with my room?" You shook your head as you floated upside down in the boy's bedroom, he didn't look bothered by your nosy actions while looking around rather he was bothered by your ghostly presence.
"Nahhh, but still why do you need so many alarm clocks?" Silver didn't think he'd bring back a ghost, even though he only stood to the side as the first years had fun waking you up from your sleep, how was he the one who had to suffer having you? It's like he was there as a sacrifice…
"It's none of your business, let's just get to discussing how I can stop getting haunted by you." You sighed in disappointment but, oh well, it's not like you don't know how to "un-haunt" him.
One of the only things you happen to know for as long as you have died, is to haunt and un-haunt a living being, to haunt is simple but to un-haunt something? It will take a lot more time since your mark has to at least fade for a very long time, give or take at least two months, but the fastest case would probably be to… hear your name.
Ghosts have a different variety, those who had lived a life of fulfillment and have no lingering wishes to the living world shall move on to rest and slowly reincarnate as a new person, their memories will be lost to time. The second type was the one with attachments to the living world, who knows how long they can be content with the wishes they couldn’t complete? Because of that they shall stay until their wish is fulfilled.
You obviously were the first type, as you have no memory of the past and had no wishes of attachment to the living. When you are woken up however it will take a while for you to “fall asleep” once more.
The name of a ghost and especially the name of someone like yours is lost to time, and due to your grave being ruined beyond repair, their was no longer a name to be remembered there. To call out your name along with a line of telling you to go back to your grave and rest, that will remove your mark and you from haunting Silver, furthermore you’ll be able to sleep.
“I see… so that’s the fastest way of being un-haunted, but what is your name though?” As if you could remember, you laughed liked it was a joke before looking him dead in the eyes.
“How should I even remember? I was on my way to becoming someone else.” You shook your head in disappointment, Silver looked bothered by it a little bit.
“I guess until we find your real name, I’ll call you under a nickname.” Wait what- “How about I call you Datura?”
“Well you accepted the news of this quite well… Datura sounds nice” you’re a bit flabbergasted by how Silver just accepted his fate so quickly.
“Well then, Datura. I don’t know how long but I hope you won’t cause me too many problems” You’re definitely gonna cause him trouble.
There were many instances of ghosts making deals with humans, and most of those deals usually don't end well, for some reason, you also had that feeling that yours won't end well. However one thing’s for certain, when you look into those eyes all you could think of was a way to make it shine in different emotions, it seems you’ve found something that has piqued your interest.
"You know I think I just remembered something... I remembered feeling just like this... back when I still breathed like the living."
Silver's life was... very uneventful and boring, rarely was there anything interesting that popped up, other than the repetitive needing twelve cups of coffee just to at least stay awake but failing to do so, alarm clocks that are almost useless seeing as how long it takes him to wake up, he’s an insomniac. Other than the most random places he’s fallen asleep at, you can’t really deny that he’s quite hard working when he’s awake. It’s a miracle his grades are even okay.
Sorry Silver but, you felt like you had to do something to change his uneventful and boring life, this doesn’t feel like the life worth living. So you began doing small things, turning invisible and stealing his pens and paper, nudging the teachers to look at his spot when he’s almost falling asleep, scaring him awake while he’s asleep which didn’t end so well since he for some reason always grabbed your neck.
Silver on the other hand was amused by what you were trying to do, most of them were harmless but still it was a bit annoying, though the faces you do when he caught you was cute enough for him to let you go so he’ll play your game for a little longer.
“You’re quite lively for someone who’s dead” you stopped reading his history book for awhile, that was an interesting way to start a conversation. “So free and bored to the point you mess around with my life, how cute.”
“Don’t just compliment me like that!” You are in fact a very shy ghost and are weak to compliments, something about pretty people giving you compliments just had you at a chokehold. “What’s with you living beings and compliments..”
“Well you’re like a child more than anything, but some of your mischievous actions do help me in a way so I can’t be completely angry at you, thanks for being with me I guess.” You’ve officially turned into a puddle of ghost goo, weak for pretty people.
“You’re truly alike to a prince from a bedtime story” he fell asleep again, head on his desk with his unfinished potionology homework, you’ll help him this time. “Rest well sleeping beauty.”
Silver didn’t know where to start when it comes to finding your name, something you said about being lost to time. There probably won’t be any record of you, after all judging by where your supposed grave was, he felt like there was more behind your mysterious passing.
The clothes your ghostly figure wore was something akin to when the school was first built, even before NRC became an all-boys school. Maybe he could find something about you there in the library?
“About when the school was first built huh? Now that’s been a very long time ago.” One of the library ghost said looking through the archive. “If it’s of any interest to you, you could research the area Z-764, there should be some old records there that should help you.”
Tumblr media
Time like water kept on flowing for you and him, from the little interactions and talking, you both became so close it’s hard to separate you both. A friend he’d never thought he would gain, an experience you’d never thought you’d have.
Silver kept on searching for your name, the name buried by time, not because he wanted to get rid of you, it was far from that, he wanted to call you by the name that suited you, Datura a flower of death doesn’t suit someone like you, not for someone who’s so full of life.
A ghost like you… was such a wonderful actor, no? Despite all the closures and loving acts you but on, the endless motivation you gave him, the support you planted, there was something you couldn’t have prepared him for. You were slowly fading away.
To remember who you are… you started getting memories from such a long time ago, you remember the joy you had as a student getting accepted to a prestigious college, you remembered the tears you spilt as your life grew harder and harder, you remembered things that you had long forgotten in your sleep…
You remembered now… you weren’t a ghost with no attachment to the world, you were one with attachments to the living. Your hopes and dreams of finding someone who you could call friend, your wish was to be happy and spend time like an actual student enjoying, laughing, working… that was what you lacked and your wish. And it’s been completed.
You’re so cruel, you used him to satisfy your dying wishes and finally had no more attachments to the living, you’re a monster for making him so happy only to leave him, you’re terrible. That’s why you’ll repent, you’ll un-haunt him while staying close by.
“Your pictures… you looked lovely in them.” The bittersweetness as you saw that fake joyful smile if only you could wipe it off, and drew on the actual feeling when you took it.
“Don’t go falling for me now~ I know I’m pretty.” That earned you a playful push from the smirking boy, if only these moments could last.
“I’m not joking when I say this though, you’re beautiful (Y/n)” ah… so he found your name, those smudge letters on the bottom of the picture, you thought he wouldn’t be able to make out those words.
“Thanks for the compliments” still you’ll smile sticking by his side… only a week left by his side.
Maybe you didn’t notice your name being spoken, but honestly Silver hoped that you wouldn’t have noticed his slip up. If anything he wished he could stay by your side a bit longer, he liked the feel of your mark whenever he happened to touch that place, the way you would float around his bedroom like a balloon when your in deep thoughts.
Silver isn’t blind to see the subtle change in your attitude, rather he chose to ignore it, like a mask you’ve been wearing for a while he felt like it would be too rude to just rip it off, you had your reasons to wear it.
“Silver, have you found a way to get rid of the ghost?” Truthfully he doesn’t think he’ll get rid of you, not like this, not while he’s gotten so used to your presence.
“Ah no, I haven’t found anything yet” just for another while, just for a little longer… he still doesn’t want you gone yet.
Tumblr media
Since when did you noticed that you began to fall asleep more often? Your slowly unable to stay awake and help him like you have been for the past few months, that mark of yours have already fade without you noticing, when you look at your reflection you noticed you’ve gotten more transparent, to the point it’s almost hard to see you.
“Looks like the ghost let you go, congrats.” Silver froze, what did Yuu mean by that?
“Sorry for getting you involved in the ritual, it must have been a real headache for you” reaching for that spot on his neck he started to panic, not yet… hold on, why couldn’t he feel anything.
“Yeah, I would have been super relieved when it’s all over, bet you felt the same huh?” Maybe it was the way that Ace said it but Silver snapped, he had to look for you immediately.
He can’t get those words out of his head, the painful feeling of losing someone he cared for, to never meet you again, he had no choice but to run and find you, no wonder… he could no longer feel your presence near him.
Where were you? The ghost who knew everything about him, where were you? The person who he unconsciously shared all his troubles and thoughts with, where were you? Why was all that left when he looked for you was the cold and loud silence?
Why were you so cruel? Someone he thought he could trust, someone who wouldn’t leave him, how could you bring him joy so easily take it all away just as easily? The memories of yesterday played in his head like a broken record, he understood it… your strange behavior and those words…
“I hope you will live a good life no matter what tries to bring you down” Your hands lacked the warmth of the living, but he liked it, those hands on his warm facing.
“Despite the short time I spent with you, there’s no doubt I cherished it” the way your voice broke for a second, something about it just made him want to ask you what’s wrong.
“Please move on when you don’t see me anymore, please forget me, I don’t want you to be reminded of me.” Tears… despite being a ghost you could still cry like how the living could, when he opened his eyes to consult you there was nothing… you weren’t there anymore.
There was one place he could only hope to see you again, please… at least give him some time to say goodbye to you, even for a moment…
Tumblr media
You would be a liar if you said you didn’t feel sad about leaving him, in front of your grave where the flowers have started to grow. This doesn’t feel like a very happy scene for you, no matter how many laughter and chatting you heard from a far, how lively people were to each other, did you mention the fact you had overstayed your time in the world of the living?
It’s beautiful for such a sad scene, night arrived rather quickly for you. Hopefully by this point he’d brush off your disappearance as exploring and nothing else, hopefully the words you spoke in his dreams are left unheard.
“I’m glad I get to go out like this..” soft winds blowing in your directions, fragments of light from your fading figure like fireflies they began to separate slowly.
The lovely night here to accompany you on your journey once more, a journey you’ve held back from going… you’re happy. However…
It felt like a scene from a story you heard of when you were younger, a separation happened just like this… if you were still alive you would have felt it was too much and that the person leaving should have stayed, they shouldn’t have left… but now that you’re wiser you understood, sometimes they had no choice but to leave.
“Took you a while, take a seat next to me" You patted the spot next to yours, it's cold on the ground but the view from where you sat was worth all of the trouble it brought. "Don't look at me like that~"
"...You're a terrible person, (Y/n)" You know that, and you won't deny what he said, after all, who would suddenly leave like this? "Can't I keep you by my side a bit longer?"
"You know that's impossible." You laughed it off scooting closer to him, such a lighthearted attitude for a last meeting. "I'm happy to have you as my friend for these last few minutes."
Taking your almost completely disappeared hand in his, he didn't know what he could say anymore, a feeling that made him weak to his knees appeared once more.
"I... I love you." Three simple words seemingly uttered out of nowhere, something you didn't see coming from someone like him. "We'll meet again, right?"
"Haha~ Of course we will" You couldn't hold back the painful tears that your cold heart was keeping at bay, you cried out of happiness despite this separation.
"Then it's a promise." Pinkies intertwined with each other you nodded your head, before finally scattering into the wind, the light of a peaceful passing.

“Once upon a time, there lived a lonely soul, a wish they forgot, a wish they cast away”
“Once upon a time, they found their other half, though separated they met regardless”
“Once upon a time, you were his in another life.”

What’s your unbiased opinion of how each green (+ Jace) would do in a zombie apocalypse
Criston: He would be really prepared and would make sure that everyone is in the car and that they’re all safe. He wouldn’t have a game plan, but he would be so ready to protect his family. He’s giving young Joel vibes (🥲)
Alicent: Is the person that sees what’s happening on the TV and goes to wake everyone up (it happened at night cause… stress). She is packing all of the bags at lightning speed, getting the cat in the car. The car is in the garage and she’s using that to her best advantage. She would be incredibly stressed but she would also try her best to calm others down.
Aegon: He’s freaking the fuck out and had like two panic attacks. He’s played zombie games growing up and he knows how to shoot a gun (thank Criston for that one) but he’s also a ball of stress and it’s a little to much for him. He’s dressed in a band T (he’ll change to camo later cause he’s like that) and wearing ripped jeans. He’s the comedic relief and he’s telling Criston the best way to kill the zombies lol.
Jace: Jace was there visiting and everything went to shit in like two seconds. He’s stressed and he can’t get in contact with his mom and he doesn’t know what to do. But he does know that he needs to help Alicent with whatever she needs and he’s making sure that they have all the canned food from the basement. He found some maps in the junk drawer and he stuffed them in his back pocket so they wouldn’t lose them. He’s trying his best to stay calm but he’s freaking the fuck out
Heleana: She’s doing really well actually. The noise is bothering her, but she’s looking at the maps and telling Criston where he needs to go and the best back roads that people won’t take. She has like six flashlights in her bag and she’s handed them to everyone. She knows the best place to go where it will be secluded (it’s in Canada somewhere and I swear if people don’t take my side on this I will go crazy). She was super into survival games as a kid and so she’s prepared.
Aemond: This kid is READY! He’s been planning for this since he was little and he’s already decked out in camo gear and he’s gone full blown zombie crazy. He thinks he’s in a movie and honestly what’s wrong with that? He’s trained and ready and he’s prepared to protect himself and his family in anyway he knows how. He’s a BEAST!
Daeron: He was woken up by Alicent telling him to get dressed and is still confused by what’s happening. When they were in the car driving past all of the built up traffic and chaos going on, he’s like “what the fuck?”. He’s freaking out in the backseat and is just keeping quite ore else he might throw up.

If these are prompts please can I get a "Good boy" with Lambden? 👀
This went pure angst!! I would apologise but I'm not sorry 😂
It was Kiyan-or rather, the news of him-who bought it on. Aiden had stared at the medallion Geralt presented, along with heartfelt condolences. The medallion which had belonged to a brother he’d thought long since dead when none could find any sign of him, only to find out that he’d spent the last few years in what could only be described as Hell.
Lambert had only managed to get out a cautiously whispered “Aiden?”, recognising the signs in the way his partners pupils were dilating wildly, the way his muscles started to tense and his breathing was starting to grow harsher. The Cat gave a noise between a whimper and a yowl before Lambert bundled him into his arms and made his way to an abandoned part of the Keep at a near run, feeling his Kittens claws digging deeper into the fabric of his tunic with every passing second.

Geralt gently grasped a concerned Jaskier by the elbow to indicate that he should stay put, “Not the best idea, Lark. Aiden’s not in his best mind right now and he’d feel even worse if he hurt you.”
“Geralt’s right.” Eskel said, coming over to wrap an arm around his brother, unable to stand his guilty expression any longer, “Cat Witchers, sometimes when they feel an emotion strong enough it can consume them, is the best way to describe it. Aiden wouldn’t mean to hurt you but he wouldn’t register that it was you. He’d even attack Lambert in that state, has done once before I think.”
The air grew sharp with the scent of Jaskier’s concern, “Well, will Lambert be alright alone with him?”
Geralt drew Jaskier closer to his chest, “Lambert knows Aiden better than any of us. We trust he knows what he’s doing and besides, it’s best Aiden doesn’t feel outnumbered right now. Lambert will let us know if he truly needs help.”

Lambert’s back had grown stiff hours ago from sitting propped against the thick wooden door but no way was he moving even for a second, his worry and frustation just as fresh as it had been when he locked the door behind him, accompanied by the first of many bangs and snarls and shouts from the other side from Aiden who could smell him, but couldn’t reach him. When they’d agreed on this plan, Lambert never thought in a thousand years that they’d have to use it. Unfortunately for him it was one of the few things that Vesemir and Aiden had whole heartedly agreed on. If Aiden was to continue visiting the Keep they needed something in place in case something like this happened, Lambert was loath to let him work through it in the forests surrounding Kaer Morhen where he could fall victim to exposure, among other things, and letting him roam the keep when he was in the throes of Cat madness was out of the question. Accidental or not, Lambert knew from personal experience that Aiden hurting someone he cared about when in this state only pushed him dangerously close to it taking hold again. And so, this was the compromise that had been reached, Lambert playing jailer while waiting for Aiden to come through the other side alone and hurting.
It took him a few moments to realise that the room (more like a cell at this point in time) had been fairly quiet for a while now.
“Aiden?”
No response. That worried Lambert more than the constant barrage of noise had and he scrambled to his feet, dropping the key twice as he fumbled to get it in the lock.
“Aiden?”
Lambert’s heart broke a little for his love as he took in the sight before him. Aiden was crouched on all fours in a corner of the room, taking shaky breaths and dripping with sweat and blood. The same blood that was covering the walls in various places from where Aiden had clawed and punched.
“Oh, Kitten.” Lambert made to step forwards only to be made to stop by a flinch and a low growl. Lambert bit his lip, this was bad. He so wanted to gather Aiden in his arms and take care of him now the worst had passed but that wasn’t happening whilst Aiden was throwing him a look suggesting that he was in danger of getting his eyes clawed out if he took one step closer. Unbidden, a memory found it’s way to the forefront of Lambert’s mind.

“Will you stop squirming already?”
“It’s not my fault your hands are so cold! You dunk them in ice water before you came back up here or what?” Aiden complained from where he was lying shirtless on the bed.
“My cold hands are going to be the least of your problems in a minute.”
“That a promise?”
Lambert let out a warning growl as he went to dab at the wound on Aiden’s stomach again, the Cat flinched minutely but didn’t pull away this time, allowing Lambert to finish up cleaning and treating it. A flesh wound, it would be gone in a day or so.
“Good boy.” Lambert said absentmindedly and patting Aiden’s uninjured side in what was supposed to be condescension until he both felt and heard the hitch in the others breath. He flicked his eyes upwards, as much as Aiden was trying his hardest to avoid eye contact it was obvious that the Cats pupils had dilated slightly accompanied a small spike of arousal.
Huh.
“Aiden, you want to be good for me, don’t you?” He asked experimentally, letting his hand drift down to Aiden’s thigh as he dropped the cloth back in the slightly bloody water next to the bed.
Aiden tried to fight back a noise of want and failed miserably.
Lambert slowly trailed both hands up to Aiden’s wrists, guiding them above Aiden’s head
“Then behave. Leave these here, let me hear you properly and I’ll make sure you’re rewarded.” He said, squeezing Aiden’s wrists briefly for emphasis and rewarding him with a kiss when Aiden nodded eagerly before curling his fingers into the pillow as Lambert started slowly making his way downwards.

Lambert went back to contemplating the figure in front of him. It was entirely different circumstances but it wouldn’t hurt to try. He was always one for experimenting after all.
“Aiden, it’s me.” He took a slow step forwards,  “I just need you to stay there a second, alright?” Another step. Aiden growled again in response but didn’t move as he kept still slightly hazy eyes firmly on Lambert, “Good boy, that’s it. You’re doing so well for me.”
And so it went, Lambert slowly making his way over, keeping up a steady stream of “Good boy, you’re alright. So good doing what I asked, so brave.”
It was when Lambert crouched down in front of him, taking a bloody hand in his and praising Aiden yet again for not attacking him that the Cat seemed to come back to himself a little more, letting out a shaky “Lambert?”
“I’m here, Kitten.” Lambert answered, trying not to wince at the wooden splinters buried under broken nails. He suddenly found the hand replaced with an arm full of shaking Cat, who appeared to be apologising to him over and over.
“I didn’t....” Aiden trailed off, gazing at Lambert pleadingly with watery eyes.
“No, everyone’s fine. You did so well, following Vesemir’s instructions and letting me bring you here. If anyone should be apologising it’s me for leaving you in here alone.”
Aiden shook his head, “No. Didn’t want to hurt...”
“I know, and I love you so much for that.”
He grabbed Aiden’s chin gently and guided it to the crook of his neck when it looked like he was moving to take in the state of the room. He knew Aiden would be able to smell the blood and no doubt feel the pain in his broken hands and the scratches on his arms and face (because of course Aiden would turn on himself when there was nobody else. Fuck, Lambert was an idiot for not considering that) but that didn’t mean Lambert wanted him to see it.
“I’m taking us to our room. Focus on me until we get there. Alright?” he asked, hoisting Aiden into his arms again as he stood and giving another quiet “Good boy.” When he felt Aiden nod against his neck and bury his nose deeper.

Brain dump where Tartaglia has a partner that also has an abyss form and reveals it to him. Hope you don’t mind, I have so much brain rot surrounding him, my wet cat.
Thinking about a scenario where Tartaglia is trapped in his Foul Legacy form, shaking and terrified of what you may think, completely unaware you wouldn’t mind seeing him in his abyssal form, as you have one yourself.
You find him shaking a few miles away from your house, curling in on himself, trying to hide. He thought you would scream and run, maybe even try to attack him, but you just held his face. You somehow knew it was him, something about the way he gently rested his claws on your hips and leaned into your touch told you it was your Ajax. You began to chirp and trill at him, changing into your abyss form, still holding him carefully. He’s in complete shock, eye going wide as he watches you, chirping happily as he processes what’s happening before him, squeezing your now larger frame in his arms, both of you purring loudly.
My boy, I want to hold him so badly.. (´_`。) [ 📺 ]
*shakes him around* SOPPING WET BEAST!!!!! *puts a towel on his head*
oh just imagine what happens after you get him home- you have to gently nudge him to his feet, taking his claws in your own so you can guide him through the night. you have to stay in the forest, where the trees conceal your Abyssal forms from people's eyes, and as you walk Ajax fusses with your hair and fluff in fascination. but even with you here, you can feel him shivering from being trapped in Foul Legacy, and your heart breaks
once you get home it's instant snuggle time, Ajax bringing soft blankets and pillows and making a nest in front of the fireplace with a happy trill. he opens his arms and you're quick to burrow into them, talons around his waist as you soothingly purr, gently preening his soft ginger hair. for a good while you become a pile of Abyssal fluff, curled around each other and sleepily kneading the blanket nest, and somehow your positions become reversed, with you holding Ajax and him snuggling against you. and oh my goodness, he absolutely melts in your arms, not used to being the one held- his Foul Legacy form usually does the holding, due to his size, and the sensation of being gently pulled closer to you has him chittering with happy tears in his pearlescent eye. it's incredibly reassuring to know that you're not afraid of Foul Legacy- you're just like him! and even when you're in your human form, there's a level of understanding between you and Legacy, as well as the fact that you can turn into your Abyss form so you can squeeze him in a tight hug <33

Detection VI
Previous part (05)
Next part (?!)
~
Kalego hates noisy places, but he especially dislikes work meetings. Of course, there is no denying that all (or almost all) of them are his colleagues are professionals in their field, but as soon as some idiot (most often the director) starts talking about some topic separate from the work, it can last for hours. And Naberius can't even leave because it's disrespectful. It's a good thing they don't put him at the very back of the queue with his reports just to make him lose his temper.
And this day should not be any different from all the others, only…
The sudden fog around him moves him into a familiar room, hands gripping his soft, fluffy sides tightly and a little painfully. Someone very familiar is pinning him to the wall, where a centipede is sitting with many small eyes on its hair-covered legs.
  –KILL THAT THING!
Kalego feels like a cat that the owner presses against a cockroach sitting on the wall, naively thinking that the lazy creature will kill someone. But Naberius has no choice, so he swings and uses a Cerberion puppy, which gets rid of the infernal insect and leaves no ugly spots on the wall.
Once the little creature is killed (which Balam wouldn't approve of), the demon turns to face a view that doesn't leave its own face ironic and sarcastic. He sighs and reaches out a clawed hand to stroke the finger pressed against his stomach.
–Did some insect scare you that much?
–`S-some insect`?! Did you see THAT?! It has eyes on each leg! And it's HUGE! Fu-fu-fu! Be-e-e!
–Someone said they wasn't afraid of insects.
–I'm not afraid of human insects! They don't usually have a hundred eyes scattered all over their bodies!
You scream a little more, and then you start to choke. After coughing a couple of times, turn the Kalego so that the small furry creature is facing you. Even in this form, the demon doesn't look too pleased, and you dutifully bow your head to apologize.
–I interrupted your school meeting? I'm sorry, – if you had ears like Ameri or Opera, they would immediately fall down. – It's just that you told me to call you every time I was in danger... so I acted immediately.
–At least you're used to reading spells quickly, – Kalego lowers his small paws, touching sharp claws to your skin, and shakes his head. – And even if I meant attacking you directly, that's not exactly a bad option either. At least I can make it look like I'm away on important business, and not just skip a work meeting with these idiots.
–That is… will you stay in this form... for a while?
Naberius sees hope in your shining eyes and cannot refuse. He nods in frustration, and you giggle softly-squeal, pressing his small body to your face. The silky fur touches your face and you giggle into his stomach, leaving barely noticeable kisses on the demon's skin. Kalego initially resists, trying to move away from your tickling movements, but eventually gives up and lightly hugs your head with his paws.
For obvious reasons, Naberius does not often assume his familiar form, even when there are no demons around to torment him, that is, "pet" him. Kalego doesn't feel so confident in this cute, charming form, as he stops scaring everyone around him just by looking at his face or eyes. But that doesn't mean that sometimes, sometimes he can't make an exception for you.
And this is one of those days! You didn't expect to get something like this today! You were just cleaning up the house when you saw a huge insect that would make anyone's guts turn over, and you called the first defender you could think of. And now, thanks to this, you get a soft pillow-toy for an indefinite amount of time, which means that you need to start using this opportunity as soon as possible!
You hurry to the sofa in the living room, holding Kalego like a small child and scratching his small belly with your index finger. When you land on the furniture, you lie on your side and hold the demon to your face, inhaling the unusual, slightly strange, but still pleasant aroma.
The softness and beauty of life immediately surrounds you from all sides. You stroke and scratch your love in all the places you can reach. Kalego quietly complains about you, spins a little back and forth, but still allows you to create your "loving love". You cover his cute face with small kisses, glad that there is something adorable in Hell, and not just incomprehensible monsters that want to devour you.
Naberius snuggles closer to your neck as you stop moving your head in all directions and stand still to enjoy the moment. He quietly flaps his wings, trying to cover at least your hand, but his round body does not work. The demon groans in exasperation and buries his beak into your skin, inhaling the familiar smell of a human, his human.
Lying next to a fluffy and cute Kalego, you suddenly feel a little smaller and younger than you really are. Remembering all those times when you fell asleep as a child after playing with a soft toy, you move a little closer to the demon, burying your forehead in him and slightly hiding your nose in his fur. The air seems to be filled with a sleepy potion, and soon you start to doze, gently hugging Naberius with one arm.
Kalego tosses a little when he realizes that the person across from him has fallen asleep, settles back down and leaves a small birdlike kiss on her cheek. He does not feel tired (except mentally), and therefore cannot also close his eyes and also have a sweet sleep. So he promises himself that he will take care of his beloved's sleep until she wakes up... or until the damn headmaster comes here to ruin everything.
The demon admires the peaceful expression on the other person's face, rolls his eyes when a little saliva starts to roll down from the corner of her lips, and calls for a handkerchief to wipe it all away. He hopes that this day will pass quickly, he will return to his normal form, so that he can come back and truly embrace his love.
Yes. That will be fine. Suddenly, the dark eyes notice small dark spots left over from hickeys and bites. Kalego smiles faintly and hums contentedly to himself as he folds his wings behind his back.
It will need to update the "labels".
*+*
As soon as you hear the sound of a key turning in the lock, you immediately drop everything and rush to the entrance to throw yourself at Kalego with hugs, screeching and screams. Usually, the demon doesn't look too pleased, but he opens his arms with incredible speed, preparing to catch you in his arms. But this time he scowls at you, holding you close with only one hand, and then only for a short time.
You immediately realize that you should leave him alone. By saying that dinner is on the stove, you go to work out a plan for the next lesson, or rather, just try to remember what is so interesting about life in the human world.
You take a few steps and are almost at the end of the corridor when a hand is suddenly grabbed. Kalego freezes with a sad face behind you, and you suddenly see longing and fatigue in his eyes. The demon mumbles that he will do without food, and asks if you are free now.
You've never been very good at improvising, but it's not hard to talk about your own world, so you nod as you follow Naberius. He gently pulls you by the wrist to the sofa, where he sits, gently pushes you in the chest and leaves you lying on the soft pillows.
Kalego sighs heavily and a little painfully, starting to take off his clothes. For a second, you twitch your entire body, watching as pale skin appears from behind the long robe. The demon magically sends his form to a chair, and then, opening his wings and stretching them a little, lies down on you, with one arm around your back, touching the place where you might have wings, and with the other hand removing the ring from you.
Stress radiates from your love in waves, and you rush to put your arms around his back and head, holding him closer to you. Naberius inhales softly through his nose a couple of times, and then exhales with relief, hugging you with both hands and hiding his nose in your home clothes. His hand twitches, as if he wants to intertwine his fingers with yours, but for some reason he changes his mind. You take the hint and start using both hands to relax the demon.
Naberius closes his eyes, enjoying the touch of his head, horns, hair, ears, back, and wings. It's amazing how much he still needs physical touch. Each time he stays around you longer and longer, holds you in his arms longer and longer before work, and hardly lets go of your hand on dates… His face may remain stony, but his gentle nature will somehow manifest itself around you.
You chuckle softly, and the Kalego bounces on your chest. He opens one eye, looks at you intently. In response, you just stroke him harder and push him back, muttering to him to continue napping. The demon listens, and it looks like your chuckle was not in vain, because he is going to fall asleep on you again, as he did so many times before. It's nice, of course, but it's not too interesting to lie and stare at the ceiling without a book, phone, or any other entertainment at hand.
Fortunately, your ring is nearby, so you won't get bored today.
The demon's breathing is getting shallower by the second that you scratch him like a dog. You're just thinking that he's fallen asleep and is about to put on the ring when Naberius suddenly raises his hand and snaps his fingers. From somewhere in the bedroom comes a blanket that covers the bodies lying on the sofa. Kalego relaxes more, one of wings rolls down and begins to hang down to the floor, the other is curled up and embraces you from below.
You can almost hold back a happy giggle when you see the calm, peaceful demon. You want to snap him to your chest and strangle him in your arms. You can barely restrain yourself from waking him up, eventually trying to relax as much as possible and try to fall asleep as well.
You watch the light coming in from the window and playing on the ceiling. The house is dark, and you can hear the papers on your desk rustle slightly in the wind. Kalego is lying on top of you, not moving and barely breathing. He sleeps as quietly as ever. He would look dead if he didn't occasionally twitch his nose or move his wing. He looks like a statue, but not just because he's so heavy. (Although everything is relative).
You love evenings like this almost as much as you love evenings when you talk to Kalego. He may not be as interested in the human world as his friend, but he will always listen to you and ask you to tell him more if you remember your past "home". He will always tell you something about Hell: whether it's some random fact, something important that can save your life, something related to school and your work as a "teacher", or even something about himself. Lying in silence and remembering his voice next to you, you can't help but smile, realizing that he almost doesn't sound tired, annoyed or angry, and if he does, you are rarely the cause of it.
In fact, it's quite easy to negotiate with Naberius... at least for you, that's for sure. He may have a tough personality, but because you find more and more charming details in it every time, life becomes much easier. His mutterings of displeasure are becoming more amusing than infuriating day by day.
You look at Kalego, remember his small shape, remember Iruma... and then your past "home". The human world was never something that you often thought about, unless it was required in class. There wasn't anything... special about it.
Yes, you were an adult, with a lot of memories and people who were even... dear to you. You weren't Iruma, who easily left everything behind and went to the demon world. You had something to cling to.
At the beginning of your "work" here, you almost did not think about your relatives, because you were afraid of everything and tried to survive. Soon, the events taking place in Hell sucked you in, and you didn't have time to think about the loved ones you left behind. But things are pretty calm right now, so you start thinking about the human world and... get terrified.
Yes, you were not killed by that maniac, but you still disappeared from your world without a trace. Your job wasn't something you wanted to run to as fast as you could from five o'clock in the morning, but they probably told your relatives that you were... missing. What was their reaction when they heard this? What about your colleagues, your few friends? Why are you thinking about this only now, after all this time?
The answer is simple: you, like Iruma, didn't want to go back to the human world.
The human world is filled with technology, deceit, cruelty and sadness. Yes, the demon world is the same, but not the demons have so many legends about how some "human" came into the world and destroyed everyone. People who consider themselves better than "some otherworldly beings who take souls and kill for fun", to some extent, were even worse than these very creatures.
And yet... you feel a sharp sadness and regret that you were not able to at least say goodbye to some of the people in your environment. They were never too close to you, but they were still the ones you chatted with before and after work, who you sometimes went out to have fun with, and even felt like they really enjoyed spending time with you.
You continue to stare at the ceiling, but with different eyes. Has there ever been a person in your life that you truly cherish, for whom you would go to the other side of the country just to help them? No. But would you like to see some people from the human world, at least once more? Definitely yes.
Kalego opens his eyes with difficulty and lifts himself up slightly, looking down at you. You instantly turn your attention to the demon and give him a faint smile. You want to ask him in a cheerful voice if he slept well, but all that comes out of your mouth is... a whimper?
 –Why are you crying?
Naberius leans over and brushes away the tear tracks that roll down your cheeks with his thumbs. You swallow and look away from him, starting to stare at the fireplace. Kalego exhales, leans in and kisses you on both cheeks, then leaves a small kiss on your lips before pulling away again.
–Do you want to talk about it?
His voice is so soft and gentle that it feels foreign. No, he is often gentle and kind to you, but your own thoughts have made you suddenly too sensitive to any words coming out of the demon's mouth.
–I just... I just thought my parents might be thinking… That I was dead.
Naberius freezes, carefully scanning your face. He rubs his cheek, then pulls you into his arms, starting to stroke your back. You wrap your arms around his neck and snuggle up with a soft whimper, like a wounded puppy. No one else says anything. You calm down a little in the embrace, but you still feel a sudden weight in the depths of your chest.
It comes so suddenly and doesn't go away at all. All your thoughts are suddenly focused on that past life, you imagine the reaction of people who found out about a maniac, and then realized that you did not come to work, did not return to the apartment, that some of your things are lying in the same alley where Sullivan appeared and saved you from a madman.
You fall asleep in Kalego's arms, but you still wake up with a heavy heart. Kalego makes you breakfast and showers you with love in various ways, but you still don't feel good. The same thoughts are swirling in your head, even if you try to shut them up, knowing that nothing can be changed.
You lived far away from your parents and rarely communicated with them, but suddenly the desire to hear familiar voices suddenly begins to devour you from the inside. The desire to see the school you went to destroys you from the inside out. The desire to look into a familiar office and talk to colleagues, even if they will not be so happy about you, pierces you from the inside.
 –(Y/N)-san, is everything okay?
You look up from your cup of tea and stare at Iruma. Today is the day when you go to his house and talk to him about everything from school to certain things in the human world. And even if the latter topic rarely comes up, for some reason it was today that the boy decided to talk about it. He wants to tell his friends something interesting about his past "home", but he couldn't think of anything, so he asked you to help... unwittingly reminding you of the heaviness in his chest.
–Yes... probably. I just... I just miss my old "home" a little, – you shrug and take a small sip. – I understand that you don't have the best memories of your past life, but... it wasn't so bad for me after all. And while I'm glad I ended up in Hell... I suddenly thought I'd like to... see my parents.
You can literally hear Iruma stop breathing for a second. He looks at you with regret, then lowers his head and mumbles a sad apology. You shake your head and force a smile.
–It's definitely not your fault, Iruma-kun. If I hadn't been here, I would have been killed then. Because you are there, I found an easy job and my love. Besides, I like to study magic.
–What was... your family like? I'd like to understand what it's like to have... parents who didn't leave you practically to your fate. B-but if you don't feel comfortable talking about it, don't!..
–It's all right. My parents... they're good people. I can't say that we always had a good relationship, but they helped me finish school well and go to university in another city… After that, I tried to study, so I rarely came to them. I was able to get a job right after I graduated and tried not to lose it in the first few months, so... I didn't really talk to them either. Before I got here, I was trying to get a promotion, so... – you sigh too loudly with grief. – I think I've started to forget a lot. I hadn't spoken to them in so long, even on the phone, that I almost forgot their voice…
You raise your head and look at the sad boy. You shake your head and smile weakly.
–Don't worry about me, Iruma-kun. I'm the one who's here to support you. Distance separates people from each other, especially if they have previously communicated without barriers… I just suddenly thought that I would like to visit them at least once more… These thoughts will probably go away soon, so don't worry about me.
But they didn't leave. Just like Iruma's sad look. When you go to his house again, you hear some screams, and after a few days you will find out that…
–W-WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE'RE GOING TO THE HUMAN WORLD?!
And it screams not even Kalego…
–Iruma-kun said that he wants to bring some goodies from the human world to his friends, and also go for a walk with his beloved grandfather, so we're going there!
–What does this have to do with me?
–You will protect Iruma-kun with your eyes and keep bad people away from us, Kalego-kun!
 –Then why are they coming?
–If Iruma-sama gets cold, I'll put it on his jacket. Or don't you like being around me, Kalego-ku-un?
Naberius hides behind you and clears his throat.
–You know you've already been caught once visiting the human world, right? Now you want me to be accused of trespassing in another world as well?!
–Don't worry, Kalego-kun, we won't be discovered this time! – Sullivan winks. – I've refined the spell, so there won't be any problems! But I couldn't find a spell that allows me to understand human language, so I'm counting on my wonderful grandson and you, (Y / N)!
  –Uh... okay.
–If anything happens, tell them during the interrogation that we were forced to.
You nod and look around. Iruma and you are dressed in normal clothes, but everyone else is wearing hats and long cloaks to hide their tails, horns or ears.
  – Go ahead!.. By the way, (Y/N), can you tell me where your parents live? You can visit them in the late afternoon if you want!
Your eyes light up and you nod at the address. Opera wags their tail thoughtfully as they pick up their coat, watching as the stronger demon looks at a map and nods to himself. He snaps his fingers and a portal appears, where everyone enters.
You find yourself in an abandoned building located not so far from the city. You're about to ask where everyone wants to go first, when Opera suddenly grabs you, throws you over their shoulder, and runs away, shouting to the shocked Kalego: "Try to catch me if you can, kohai!" The demon immediately rushes after them, Sullivan puts his grandson on his shoulders, and they cheerfully go in the direction of tall buildings.
It looks like it was some old abandoned hospital in the woods, as you are greeted by a rather vibrant area of the city, not the outskirts. You look around and can't believe that you are seeing all these signs again, advertising, inscriptions about free Wi-fi, buying some two products for the price of one, and so on. You smile at the familiar smells, feeling even more excited when Opera finally puts you on the floor.
–So, where do you want to go? I do not know that many free places, so...
–Don't worry, (Y/N), I brought some expensive jewelry that I've heard can be exchanged! Can you help us?
You nod and look around uncertainly. Where's the pawnshop?..
You go ahead, looking around and choosing someone who won't yell at you as soon as you speak to them. It's hot outside, and you genuinely empathize with the demons wearing multiple layers of clothing. Iruma in shorts is pointing around and chatting about something, and you notice strange looks from passersby.
Have we forgotten how to speak the "human language"? What happens if I can't speak my native language? What should we do then?! And how do I... how do I talk to my parents?
You hear your name and turn around, quickly realizing that it's not Kalego speaking. You look in surprise at your former colleague, who runs up to you with a surprised cry and a glass of some liquid in his hands.
 –(Y/N)?! Is that you, (Y/N)?! (Y/N)!..
You are surprised when she throws herself at you and hugs you so hard that the air escapes from your lungs. She was one of the people who was most friendly to you and sometimes invited you to parties, but for her to be so kind to you?..
–Oh, (Y/N), I thought you were sold for organs! – she starts shaking you from side to side, shouting in a panic all over the street. – Why didn't you answer your phone? I contacted your parents, they don't know anything! Where have you been? You scared everyone! The police searched for you for several months, and then stopped, saying that there are absolutely no leads!..
You look at her directly and suddenly realize that her speech sounds familiar, you understand her, but still something is wrong. It's like you've abruptly started practicing a second language that you've learned and haven't used in a long time.
–What does she say? – Kalego asks, looking at you doubtfully and clearly wanting to shut your colleague up by force. – It's so loud.
–She's just, uh, happy to see me. It's hard to explain…
The woman freezes, and then looks from you to Naberius in surprise.
–What language are you speaking now?
–Um, that's easy… this is such a special variety of Asian languages, a mixture of several and a strong accent. Kalego-kun and my companions are from a small town where this language is spoken. It's... it's all a little hard to explain...
–He looks like he doesn't understand us. Doesn't he even know English? I mean... how many opportunities to play games and read comics does he lose?
–They value their native language much, so it can't be helped... ahem.
–Well, it doesn't matter. Where have you been all this time?! Why didn't you tell me everything was fine?!
–Um, it's a complicated story... I was sort of... kidnapped?
You cough nervously as you watch her eyes widen. With a quick shake of your head, you hurry to calm the woman down so that she doesn't scream again.
–But I'm fine, don't worry! Sullivan-sama, – you point to the old demon who is chatting incessantly with Iruma, – saved me and brought me to him. There I met Opera-san and Kalego-kun. They decided to take a little walk today, so I'm kind of like a translator here...
She looks first at you, then at Naberius, and then gives you a brilliant answer:
–I didn't think you'd ever get involved with the mafia.
You look at her blankly, and she points her finger at the demon closest to her.
–He's dressed like an Italian mobster, (Y/N). And they, by the way, too. And that look... can you ask him not to look at me like he's judging how much my organs are worth on the black market?
–I'm afraid he was born with that look. I can only cover his eyes with my hand.
–I think he'll burn a hole in it and keep staring at me.
You giggle and nod weakly. You ask Kalego to move away for a while, and he starts to devour your interlocutor with his gaze even more.
–I'm not sure, (Y/N). Are you sure it's safe?
–You just don't want to go to Opera-san and Sullivan-sama, do you?
–Including. And I just don't want anything to happen to you.
–This is a human world, nothing will happen to me, don't worry… Now go, go.
You push him away and continue to communicate with the former colleague. It's nice to know the news of your home world, let each one make you sadder and sadder.
–So you lost your phone and couldn't recover it? That's how... unfortunate. But I always told you that you need to remember the phone numbers of other people, at least relatives!
–I'm going to buy a new one if they don't give me the old one, so I'll be fine…
–Why didn't they buy it for you right away?! Doesn't the mafia want you to give up their secrets?
–Yes, they are not members of the mafia!
 –They don't show it!
–Anyway… can you tell me where the pawnshop is? Sullivan-sama wants to exchange some jewelry.
–Stolen goods are hardly accepted there…
 –They're not mafiosi!
You chat with her a little more, then look at the maps to get to the pawnshop. The woman makes sure for the last time that you are safe and sound, and leaves, saying that she will tell everyone at work that you are fine, but you should still go to the police and report your "miraculous discovery".
Which you do as soon as you exchange jewelry. Sullivan goes shopping with his grandson, and you go to "please the law". You may feel awkward coming up with a story on the go, but Kalego helps you a lot. You are glad that they did not ask for documents, otherwise it would have been a failure. You are given your passport, taken from the apartment, where you should not return, because the owner can make you really lost, some documents, as well as a phone that was found after Sullivan “got rid” of the owner.
Kalego is surprised that your phone has no buttons, to which you shrug and say that you need to somehow have fun and improve, since there is no magic. After that, he offers to charge it with lightning, but you refuse, just asking for charging from the police.
You sit and wait for the phone to finish charging, looking ahead and moving awkwardly back and forth on the spot. Naberius sits next to you, crossing his legs and looking at the police in a way that makes them afraid. A few of them want to go up to him and ask him to stop, but this look scares them too much.
–You're going to call your parents, aren't you?
You jump up and down, not understanding how the demon read your mind. Kalego looks back at you, and you sigh, nodding.
–I-I'm not sure what I'm going to tell them. Yes, I'll tell them about the "abduction" if they ask, but... I just don't want to worry them any more and... I don't want to reassure them. I mean... this might be the last time I'll see them. They'll think I'll call them, but I-I'll never do that.
Naberius reaches out to you, and you are horrified to feel his tail moving. Fortunately, the demon quickly regains his composure and quietly apologizes, saying that he will control himself better from now on. As a result, he puts his arm around your shoulders and pulls you to his chest, playing with the tips of your hair with his fingers.
–Actually... maybe you can call them after we get back to Hell.
 –In what way?
–Let the Batora of our favorite student think about that. It is quite difficult to create a portal between two worlds, but surely the connection is not so difficult to make.
–We'll have to pay every month for the chance to call my parents. I don't think Sullivan-sama will be so happy to risk his happy life with Iruma-kun and come here at least once every few months. And even more so, he won't want to constantly change his jewelry.
–If you think the system can't be fooled, then you're wrong, – he smiles at you, and all the cops get even more creepy. – And I'll threaten to give them the lowest grade in battle magic if they don't come up with something.
–You're so cruel! – you nudge him in the side.
 –That's why I'm a demon, (Y/N).
–Speaking of which… Why is there a spell that allows you to understand demons, but no spell that allows you to understand humans? And how did Sullivan-sama make a contract with Iruma-kun's parents if he doesn't know any human language? And how do demons do this in general?!
–As far as I know, when a person summons a demon, there is a temporary 'connection' between them, allowing them to understand each other. It disappears as soon as the demon returns to its own world. As for spells… I don't know if this is true or not, but people used to be used as servants and food, – you swallow involuntarily, – and it's easier and "more arrogant" to make a person understand a demon than a human demon. And we demons have one language, and you have many. It's easier to use a spell and force them to learn one language than to constantly pick up a new one.
–That's how... well, it's a good thing I ended up in the demon world after all.
–Thanks to me, you'll be able to learn everything-everything you want to know!
–I didn't want that much… Just take me to the places you like. I want to know what your life was like when you lived here.
You nod, even though you don't know where to take him… You just ate, read, played games, and sometimes went for a walk in the park. Nothing really interesting…
While your phone is charging, you try to remember interesting places. Once it's charged, you exhale and pick a familiar number, ready to call your parents.
The voice you almost forgot almost makes you burst into tears on the spot. You squeeze the phone harder, afraid you'll drop it.
–I do not know who is calling this number, – you almost do not understand the text, because you can not concentrate, – but stop it immediately! Delete my number and never mock me like that again! I don't know anything about my daughter anyway, so just leave me alone...!
  –M-mama, Mama, it's me-me! Listen… this is not a joke! Don't hang up!
The silence hits your heart hard, and then a loud sob is heard from the other side. Kalego squeezes your hand, turning away, giving you support and allowing you to communicate with relatives almost in private.
–(Y/N), is it... is it really you? Where are you... where have you been all this time?.. Why didn't you call us?! Your boss reported that you weren't at work, you weren't at home, no one saw you, and we!..
–I'll tell you everything tonight, I promise! I'll come to you... is Dad around? I'd like to hear his voice, too.
You've never cried so hard. The crazy life in Hell fades into the background, and you can finally think about your original family. A conversation you've been thinking about for days immediately goes off track, as you start crying, unable to say even a single sentence properly. You promise and promise that you'll meet them tonight before you laboriously hang up the phone and sniff loudly. Kalego discreetly creates a handkerchief and hands it to you.
–(Y/N)-san, – this is the first thing you hear as soon as you calm down a little and go outside, – are you all right? Have you talked to your parents?
–Y-yes... thank you for giving me this opportunity, Iruma-kun, – you sit down and pat him on the head. – I promised to visit them tonight, but they're in another city, so…
You lift your head and look at Sullivan. The demon smiles at you and nods, telling you that he will go somewhere interesting while you communicate with your family. He suggests that you temporarily forget about all the bad things and go have fun, especially since now you, a person who knows this city, are nearby, so everything should go just fine.
And so it happens. The first few places that Iruma and the others wanted to visit, you look sadly in front of you, but then you come to your senses a little and begin to gradually join in the general fun. It's nice to walk for other people's money, so you show the demons places where you couldn't go for your salary or where it was a commonplace pity to spend your own savings.
Small cafes and big restaurants, exhibitions and attractions, movies and parks – everything passes by and leaves good memories. You go with Kalego just behind the others. Naberius looks scowling, he crosses his arms and looks around, but you can see a slight twinkle of interest in his eyes. You stop every time he has a question and explain a particular thing to him, watching out of the corner of your eye as Iruma does the same to his protector and grandfather.
–Shichiro would love it here, – the demon says quietly, looking around the bookstore window. A large black cat comes around the corner, stretching lazily in the sun. – Maybe steal him an animal…
–L-let's not put the local flora and fauna under such stress! Maybe we should buy him some textbooks instead. I'll pass them on for him.
–I wonder if the sheet music is sold here... I'm curious about the difference between demon music and human music.
–I'm not sure, but... there are probably autobiographies of musicians inside, or something like that… Hey, Opera-san, we'll go inside for a second, okay?
The demon eating some human food with a cat-like smile turns their head to you and nods quickly. You drag Kalego inside. The store is quiet, cool, and smells a little like books. Naberius lets out a sigh of relief and starts moving next to you near the even rows of bookshelves. He stops and points at some of the books, wanting to know what they're about. Somehow, all he comes across all the time is weird romance novels, some unfunny comedies, and books about teamwork. You have to take him to some other department before he gets into a fight with a book that tells him by its description that he is not a good colleague for other teachers.
Books for children and adult textbooks are in your hands, and you are ready to help Kalego choose the right reading material. The demon freezes with a book in his hands, probably looks at it, then hands it to you and asks what is there in the plot.
–Uh ... it's a book about the kind of torture used centuries ago…
  –Fine, I'll take it.
  –N-not as a March-san gift, I hope?..
–Oh, don't worry, – his smile is as creepy as it often is, – I'll use such a rare find on my own.
Naberius takes a few more books, including some complex textbooks, horror films, biographies of some musicians and notes to fairly well-known classical works that came from somewhere. You choose literature to suit your taste and stand at the cash register, afraid to even imagine how you will drag it all.
Fortunately, there is always a weight-loss spell, so you can carry the bags on one finger, but Kalego insists on taking all your belongings. Later, he will reduce them and hide them in his pocket.
The day is going well, too well even. It could have been a great date if it hadn't been for the trio reacting admiringly to everything around them. Fortunately, not only did they distract you in this way, but they also left you free to hold your favorite demon's hand or even kiss him while no one else was looking. In this huge city full of people, you feel a little uneasy, but everything is fine as long as Kalego is near you.
You visit a few more places and end up on a park bench. Opera with bags and others buy ice cream, while you sit with the already purchased portion and look at the sky. It's already evening in the city where your parents live, so it's time for you to head there.
–That damn headmaster said they were going to see the pond and then send us to another city. Are you ready to... meet your parents?
 You nod to yourself.
–But... would you like to come with me?
Naberius thinks for a moment, looks ahead, quietly continuing to nibble on some dried fruit that he bought at the market. The demon shrugs and turns to you.
–If you want to. I can go to them as your friend or as your love. You haven't seen your parents in a long time, so it's up to you whether to interrupt this meeting with me or not.
–Then I'd like to... introduce you. And if I introduce you, my story will seem more complete. Although I wish I could tell them something different, I have no other excuse or reason for disappearing from this world for a few months…
–We can always erase their memories if you want, – Kalego says, patting you on the shoulder. - Or replace some memories.
–Can you do it?! – you jump up and down.
–I... no, – he winces and looks at the departed demons. – I specialize in battle magic, even if I could, I would only make it worse for them. But our favorite boss can. If he can manipulate the minds of demons, then he definitely won't have any problems with humans.
–What makes you think he won't refuse me?
–You're taking care of his 'favorite grandson'. And it's easier for him than moving to another world, so no problem.
–I-I need to think about it.
You remain seated until the trio returns.
–So, (Y/N), are you ready to see your parents? Oh, I heard there's a great little restaurant right next to your house! While you're chatting with your parents, we'll go there! Do you want to bring some food, Iruma-kun?..
–Sullivan-sama... if anything happens, can you... change the memory of my parents?
The demon freezes in place, watching you closely. He rolls thoughtfully from one heel to the other, and then nods weakly.
–I think I'll have to spend a certain amount of time, but there shouldn't be any problems. Of course, if other people ask your parents something that I erased from their heads, it will be an awkward situation, but that's another matter.
–Then you can... change their memories as soon as I... we, – you squeeze Kalego's hand, – get back from them? I don't want them to worry any more once I'm gone... again.
The demon nods and suggests that you go somewhere where no one can see the company.
You walk up the mountain next to Naberius, squeezing his hand and constantly tripping. When he asks you what's wrong, you don't say anything for a few seconds, and then you say it with dry lips:
–Perhaps... it would be better... if they simply erased the memory of my existence. I can ask them to move somewhere where no one will know they had a daughter, and then... make them forget about me.
Kalego freezes, and so do you, almost falling down. You look at it without understanding anything. The demon shakes his head and pulls you into his arms.
–I mean… I definitely won't go back to this world, because I still live for myself, not for them, and I want to be with you, in a world that has become so much closer to me in such a short amount of time… And they will feel better if they forget that their daughter first did not call them for several months, and then was reported missing.…
–I don't have the right to choose for you, but I still don't advise you to do it, –he pulls you closer to him. – Maybe they'll forget you, but you definitely won't. And if you ever want to visit them, they will see you as a stranger, not as their own daughter. It will hurt your heart a lot.
–But I-I can't leave them to suffer again, – you cling to him and try to hide your tears in his clothes. – I'm already a bad daughter, I only thought about them now... should they even remember someone like me?..
–I'm sure as soon as you see them, you'll stop thinking of yourself as 'bad', – he moves away and pats you on the head. – And so it would be better to change their memories and maybe come here occasionally to visit them.
–And how can that be possible?..
–If Iruma becomes the demon king – which I doubt, even with the prophecy – communication with humans will clearly become easier. But even if you don't, you still have your boss. And... eh, so be it, I'll try to master the portal creation technique, although I don't promise anything.
–You're working so hard for me... thank you so much.
You rush to hug him, immediately hearing a giggle almost in your ear. Opera stands at the top and makes with their fingers the heart that you and Kalego fall into. You hear growls from one side and laughter from the other and decide it's time to meet your family.
Taking the demon's hand, you walk forward to the abandoned hospital, trying to breathe calmly and not think about anything that might reflect badly on your meeting with your parents.
It's time to apologize to them for their long absence.

That headcannon of the Child of the Cheshire cat was amazing! Their reaction to seeing MC be a floating head is amazing! I hope you'll make it a series! If you do and do the child of the queen of hearts I can just see MC just cooing over Luke
I'm so sorry it took a while to reply, but thank you! If I get asks about it more I'll definitely write more, but it is a plan to make it a series! Thank you for the request though (is it one? I don't know, never got one!), Miss Hearts is definitely an interesting individual with an interesting personality, I hope you enjoy this!
Tumblr media
The Child of Her Majesty, the Queen of Hearts
An Obey Me Series where the MC/you are the child of a fairytale character!
Characters: All of them minus the S4 Trio (I haven’t gotten there yet, and I fear I’d make them too OOC, apologies!), Gender-Neutral MC
Lucifer
Oh dear Diavolo. You were uptight. So VERY uptight.
When you had first arrived, you were dressed as if you were royalty. Well, to be completely fair, you were - but no one knew that yet.
Everything had to be on time for you. And you had a very wayward sense of time. It complicated a lot of things.
Lucifer never admitted it, but he kind of liked how you could reign in your brothers. You had that ability to make everyone hear you AND listen to you.
When he had gotten over his initial judgement of you, he realized that you were just a bit... crazy?
(It feels like he dealt with someone like this, maybe in another life. He remembers a sort of cat-like presence. Maybe it was just him.)
You were extremely good at chess, and card games.
You were very demanding. You’re way of speaking seemed a bit weird to him too. (”Off with your heads!”. Really? Is this an execution?)
You were good in court, seeing your performance in the academy's debate club.
He's slightly intimidated, but he finds that getting on your good side is easy with just blood red roses and some chocolate (that is, if you aren't allergic to them)
Mammon
Y ou were so much like Lucifer, at first. He hated it!
You... made him roses? Paper roses? Painted them? A HUNDRED OF THEM?
He honestly almost had a heart attack FOR you, what in the name of Diavolo were you thinking?
He had hung around you after that, mostly out of guilt. During those times, he did grow to like you and enjoy your presence.
You and him are GREAT gambling buddies. You somehow always win against the other party.
Somehow, you think of the best punishments for the other party when they lose? It’s amazing and he stays in awe every time.
He knows you’re not some normal human.
No offense, no normal human would act and dress like you
He literally cannot resist any request from you, he spoils you a lot. He has a feeling you do it on purpose.
Leviathan
How were you so rich with ACTUAL gold? He sensed it the moment you entered Devildom.
Levi avoided you, but to be fair, he avoided everyone. Mostly you because you felt... off.
The first time he met you PERSONALLY, he thought you were very bossy.
He disliked how you thought you were like all that, ordering everyone around.
He never got along with you, and he thought you disliked him too, at first.
One day, the brothers all went out and he thought you followed them, but there you were in the kitchen, making tea.
You immediately invited him over, and he wanted to decline, but you had already poured him a cup of tea.
He sat down, and he was immediately thrown off because of how talkative you were. You were asking him about anime, games and much more.
He wanted to cry tears of joy. Someone who was open to the same interests he had? He would never have to play games alone again!
From that day onwards, he made it his mission to introduce you to modern-day pop culture.
Satan
He thought you were a self-absorbed royal. Yes, royal.
With how you dressed he wouldn’t be surprised, honestly.
He was interested in you, though. So he had walked up to you one day and struck a conversation.
Surprisingly (to him), you actually had a pretty nice personality! Maybe a bit haughty, but he thought it might’ve been the way you were raised.
He could tell you had a kind heart.
The two of you often hang out at his room for tea parties, and discuss books.
He brought you into the “Lucifer Hate Club” shenanigans
You both bond over cats.
You’d ramble about a certain Chesire, and he’d listen intently.
Asmodeus
With such an amazing sense of style, suffice to say he fell in love with you at first sight
Asmo would always have you go out with him
Shopping, mani-pedi, shopping again, eat, and shop
It was an endless cycle
If you wanted to consider which demon brother you’ve had sleepovers with most, it’s Asmodeus
Sometimes, you all surf the web to judge on other people’s fashion styles
It usually ends up with him writing an essay-long advice for the person while you watch him
Cafe dates, lots of them.
Asmo is just THAT influencer, but he still pays attention to you
“Oh, you look fabulous, hun. Most magnificent human I’ve ever laid my eyes upon! Obviously, out of all beings, I’m still the most gorgeous!”
Beelzebub
This human smelt funny… smelt too much like flowers and smoke and war -
But then he smelled the butter, tea, chocolate, scones
Yeah he tried to eat you
He didn’t get to, obviously, but a jewelry was eaten!
… Along with some hair
Don’t worry, you’re not bald
You avoided him like the plague for a while
But then he came in with puppy-dog-eyes and a pout that reminded you too much of her, though you’ve only heard tales and saw paintings
You forgave him grumpily
You both bond by you making tasty sweets and him eating it
You both also like fencing!
You were excited to spar with him, finally able to practice to make sure you won’t get rusty
Maybe this glutton isn’t so bad, after all…
Belphegor
Oh, you despised him at first sight
You weren’t so foolish as to believe him, but playing pretend is something you’re really good at
When he had finally ended you (or so he thought), you were livid
You were wearing your favourite clothes, no less, one that reminded you of home
All of it… teared and ripped to shreds.
You both had a rocky relationship after that
It was only because of Beelzebub that you both tried to get along
He never apologized, but you could see it through his actions that he was trying
You appreciated it
Actions speak louder than words
(Though your mother only wanted an apology, you wanted to be better. Words were useless if there was no sincerity)
After a few weeks, you finally decided to forgive him
Only because of Beelzebub.
It was only after that that you both realized startling similarites
You both loved piano, and chocolate!
You guys begrudgingly hang out, but will never admit that you enjoy each others’ company!
Diavolo
The Queen of Hearts was someone he respected
He enjoyed her company as well!
To receive the child of Her Majesty was an honour
He babied you immensely, only because he had promised to keep you safe
Even though you were in school, you weren’t rid of your royal duties
That means paperwork.
He’d invite you for teatime, but usually it’s for filling out paperwork
Don’t worry, you both mourn about your wasted time together
Barbatos would have to threaten you both to get you guys working
You find that he and you have many things in common
Child of a major royal, heir to the throne, all that jazz
You often hang out with him, only to get a sense of familiarity
Your mom would be royally pissed if you forgot “Royalty 101”
You both played chess often, though it ends in ties
Yeah, he’s definitely the most normal out of every demon
Barbatos
You adored him
He reminded you of the White Rabbit, your best friend and assistant
You’d order him around, and he’ll follow without complaint
Finally! Someone who treats you like how you should be treated!
The again… this isn’t your realm…
Barbatos often indulges you with sweets and pastries
He was the second best butler, most definitely
Your homesickness would be cured with only his presence
He is the oddest one of them all
You knew nothing about him
A certain Chesire’s voice would ring in your mind
“Curiouser and curiouser…”
Oh, he also reminded you of the Caterpillar
You could only be glad he isn’t smoking
Simeon
The angel was an absolute… angel!
Oh, he was so kind and nice and indulgent
The subjects in Underland were rarely like him, it was refreshing!
Most of them were anxious and loud and hyper
He was one of your favourites
Simeon finds you interesting, and would often ask questions which you only answered in riddles
Well, you could say Mad Hatter rubbed off on you
He has a botanical garden he shares with Beelzebub and Barbatos, and now with you
The roses were your favourite, and Simeon made sure to take really good care of them
His favourite were white roses
He was confused when none were left, but then he smelled… paint?
You were painting the white roses?!?
He almost had a heart attack and had to explain that the flowers can’t have paint on them
If you wanted naturally red roses, he had some at the back of the garden
You stared at him in awe
“YOU HAVE ROSES THAT ARE RED? THAT HAD NOT BEEN PAINTED AND ARE STILL RED?”
Oh dear…
Luke
Oh… this sweet child
The Underland had always taken a liking to children, especially after Alice
But Alice had never returned, and you never met her, or any normal child
A child’s imagination and happiness was what you needed to keep alive
So, instead of ordering him around like you did with others
You indulged the child with fairytales and stories
Luke loved you to bits!
You never acted patronizing towards him, even though he knew you treated him like a child
He had cried once, when everything was getting too much, when everyone was bullying him
And you were pissed
Children should not be crying and frowning, they should be giggling and having fun
The demon brothers got an earful
He looked up to you after that, often copying your way with words and your movements
It was like having a mini you!
… Was this how your mother felt when she had you? When she met Alice?
Blegh, who cares!
You remind yourself everyday to ask Luke if he’d like to visit Underland one day
You’ll ask him before leaving Devildom.
He’s your #1 favourite in the whole Devildom, no one else
Besides, he even bakes for you! All for you!
Solomon
“Alice in Wonderland?”
You paused and stared at him when he said that
He immediately got goosebumps, and he could only be glad your head wasn’t as huge as your mother’s!
You were suspicious of him, at first, but then he revealed to you he was a sorcerer
(He was terrified that you’d actually cut his head off, so he said that to divert your suspicion but what were you even suspicious about was what he was confused with)
He reminded you of the Mad Hatter!
Solomon was definitely mad.
And not a normal human being
He loves to irritate you, but he always make sure you know to not take it to heart
It was… refreshing
You hated his dishes, though
Heaven forbid he cook for you again, because the one time he did you looked him straight in the eye with a blank gaze
“If you cook for me ever again, it will be off with your head.”
You emphasized your point but flicking a card from your deck straight to the wall
It got stuck. In the damn wall. Because it cut through the wall.
You intimidate him.
Tumblr media
I’M FINALLY DONE! I’m so sorry to the anon who requested this, it took quite literally ALMOST A YEAR! My motivation to write was down the drain, so I apologize. I also got confused a lot while writing, but I hope it is coherent enough

Artemis politely stirred her usual copious heap of sugar into her already milky coffee. Strauss sat beside her, close enough that their legs were touching. It was as close as he could politely get in mixed company. If he were to seek out further contact (however desperately he currently wanted it) it may arouse suspicion.
Truthfully, even sitting close enough to touch was a bit of a bold move with Ursula in the room. She sat near Vicar Martin, and handed him a mug of microwaved water with a cheap teabag in it. She didn’t offer him milk or sugar. He would drink it and like it.
The Vicar didn’t seem to mind. He was distracted. Not only by sitting so close to a vampire, but also by the clear plastic small animal carrier filled with white mice. They scurried over each other and around in small circles in their holding cell on the coffee table. He glanced at them curiously, and then back up to Artemis and Strauss.
“Is it prudent for Dr. Strauss to sit in on this if he’s technically a suspect?”
“It is our policy not to deprive Herr Strauss of any information pertinent to his stay at the Institute. It’s best he hears it first hand to avoid confusion.” She said with a smile.
“I see. Do the…mice need to be present?”
“They are my emotional support animals.” Strauss replied tonelessly.
“Alright then.”
Ursula let out a quiet snort of mocking laughter and sipped her watery tea. “Alright then, Martin. Since you’ve already let the cat out of the bag, go ahead and elaborate. If I’m going to help you with this investigation I need the where, the who, the what, all of it in excruciating detail.”
“This man has a cat in a bag?” Strauss tilted his head.
“It means to share something that was a secret.” Artemis replied, leaning into him.
“Actually, Ursula, I will have to respectfully decline your help for the moment. I’m trusting you not to run your mouth or do anything stupid with this information. You aren’t supposed to have it yet.” The vicar replied, taking a nervous sip of his weak tea.
“Nonsense. You can’t just tell me there’s been a vampire implicated murder ON MY HOME TURF and expect me to just sit here with the whole weight of the Van Helsing-”
“You will do nothing and say nothing until the official letters have been sent.” Vicar Martin said firmly.
Ursula huffed and puffed and crossed her arms in indignant silence. Artemis set down her coffee and folded her hands in her lap.
“We will of course follow proper protocol. We just want to be prepared to move in an instant. Can you let us know what’s wrong?”
“Yes. Well. There has been a murder.”
“Mmm. Yes. You mentioned.” Strauss replied languidly, and opened the little container of mice to scoop one into his claw. He let it climb over his fingers and rotated his hand to keep up with its movements.
“...Yes. A murder. Of course, if that’s all it was, we wouldn’t be here auditing you. This victim had a series of very particular injuries. Injuries consistent with what we would expect from-”
-CRUNCH-
The vicar paused. Strauss made an awful sound as he finished off his mouse, and graciously deposited the desiccated remains of the bloodless prey item into a napkin that he folded into his lap.
Ursula pinched the bridge of her nose. Martin gagged.
“I thought… those were emotional support animals?”
“I am an emotional eater.” Strauss replied flatly.
“Is that really necessary.”
“It is my feeding time. If you do not want to witness it, do not interrupt my schedule.”
Martin looked down and away and staunchly decided to continue. “Anyways. As I was saying before your friend decided to demonstrate for us, the injuries of the deceased are consistent with a vampire attack.”
Artemis leaned forward looking concerned. “These are very serious accusations. Can you be more specific?”
“Yes. The victim in this case was a young man. A healthy young man in his prime. He was found down by the banks of the river about four days ago. He appears to have died of a fatal stabbing to his neck. But that’s not all that was wrong with him. He had bruising consistent with being held by his wrists, a broken vertebrae, and most notably, he had been very nearly entirely drained of blood.”
“This may be a stupid question, but the blood is… missing, right? Not just spilled all over the scene?”
“It is presumed missing. We ah… aren’t sure just yet if the deceased was killed where he was found. His clothes did not have any blood on them.”
“Where did you find him?”
“The remains were discovered in Gooseberry Mound Park, near where the large storm drain tunnel opens into the river bed. Unfortunately this park is very well populated and he was found by a family with young children.”
Strauss frowned and reached for another mouse. “Out in an open area like that, if he was killed there, it must have occurred late at night, if there were no witnesses. What could have lured him to that place at that time?”
He idly stroked the small white mouse in his claw. “Or perhaps he was dragged.”
“Like I said, we aren’t sure. But the time frame in which he may have been killed was another sign it may be vampire activity. Along with the severe neck injuries that seemed to be caused by a pair of bare hands- This was not a small man. Like I said he was young, athletic, in his prime-”
-CRUNCH-
Strauss consumed his second mouse. He draped over the chair and folded one long leg over the other while tilting his head, pondering deep thoughts with the pink tail hanging from his mouth. He pulled it out by the tail and placed it in the napkin with the other spent carcass.
Vicar Martin blanched, and gagged again. “Can you please stop doing that?”
“Do we know anything about the victim? About who he was?” Strauss asked and completely ignored Martin’s discomfort and request.
“Not yet, it’s pending notification of next of kin. I cannot give you a name but suffice to say we know he was a student and that people are already looking for him.”
“So, not some random drifter, or some runaway that would not be missed. It is an unorthodox target for a vampire that is hunting for subsistence. Perhaps this was something personal.”
“That’s why we needed to interview you. There are very few vampires here we know of, and you’re the only one it’s really at all convenient to talk to.”
“Convenient to talk to? That may be the nicest thing you’ve said about me.”
“More convenient than trying to talk to Miss Pietra.” The Vicar muttered quietly.
Artemis cleared her throat. “I take it she’s the true prime suspect here.”
“Regrettably so. Unless there’s some new rogue entity stalking this fair city- but honestly they would be very stupid to set up shop next door to your group.”
“Unless they want to be caught.” Strauss shrugged.
“Did you want to be caught, Mr. Strauss?”
“Doctor Strauss.” Strauss replied darkly, with the emphasis on ‘doctor.’
“And, if you must know, no. I did not want to be caught. If you ask, Frau Harker can tell you I resisted and was quite a pest for quite some time. This conversation however, is not about me. Unless you still consider me some kind of suspect.”
“Well, you’re going to stay a suspect until the real perpetrator is caught, I’m afraid. I don’t think you did it, and I’ll say so in my report, but despite whatever preconceived notions you have about me, Doctor Strauss, I’m not the sole arbiter of your fate.”
Martin leaned in with an earnest expression. “Nor am I your enemy.”
“Is Herr Cunningham included in your list of suspects?”
“The lycanthrope? No. This profile doesn’t match for lycanthropy at all.”
“So you aren’t going to bother him, then?”
“No. Not unless you think I should.”
Strauss visibly relaxed back into the couch. “No. I am satisfied with that answer. He has been through enough on account of vampires.”
“Haven’t we all?” Ursula rolled her eyes. “I appreciate your candor with the Institute, Vicar Martin. Let me know as soon as I am clear to mobilize and your investigation will have the full power of the Van Helsing Institute behind it.”
“Many thanks, Ms. Harker. Let me know if you see or hear anything you think might be pertinent. And… as much as I hate to say this. Doctor Strauss, you should consider remaining on a curfew at this time. If you absolutely must leave the Institute, bring several witnesses and if possible a gps system of some kind. If anything else happens the church will want absolute proof you are not involved.”
Strauss nodded and got up and approached Vicar Martin to shake hands. “Vielen dank, Herr Martin. Do not worry about me. I can take care of myself.”
Martin shook Strauss’ hand, and felt something pressed into his palm. Strauss walked off, leaving the vicar with a folded napkin containing the husks of two spent mice. While Ursula saw to the shaken stranger, Artemis followed Strauss down the hall.
“What are your thoughts about all of this?”
“It is quite complex. Also quite fishy. That is the word in English, yes? The situation does not smell right.”
“Correct. And yes, I agree. It’s an awful situation but I can’t help but feel like the profile is off.”
“I want to see this crime scene. I want to see the evidence for myself.”
“Do you really think that’s wise?”
“Perhaps I can help. It ‘takes one to know one,’ as you’ve said before.”
“Maybe. It’s going to be a hard sell, though, getting you access to that information.”
“Yes, and it has a high potential to blow up in my face. But…”
“But we have to do something.”
“Right. I have an idea of where to begin, that does not require cooperation from the authorities. But, you will not like it.”
“What’s your idea?”
“I need to speak to Sylvain.”

Grain
Part of this series.
Danny had agreed to look for the missing grain and grain silos.  He cared, both about Amity as a whole and about specific people in it.  Appearance aside, he wasn't a heartless monster.  He wanted to help with a desperation that may have either been a symptom of being stuck for so long.
Unfortunately, he wasn't sure how.
Beyond the fact that the silos were gone, replaced by trees, Sam and Tucker didn't have any more information.  They also stressed that they didn't expect him to go out and try to get the grain back or fight giant grain monsters.  Sam just wanted him to keep an eye out and tell them if he saw anything..
But Danny itched to do more.  He wasn’t satisfied by just sitting around and watching, even if, realistically, that was all he could do.
Well.  The watching part.  Not the sitting around part.
He’d explored his immediate area, the space around his cozy ruin, fairly well.  It wouldn’t hurt to go further afield.
It probably wouldn’t hurt to go further afield.  He hadn’t thought it would hurt to help Tucker impress Sam, either.  It had.  But Danny could do things now that he couldn’t before, and he could always run and hide.
He made a small note and set it down on the little table in his little house, so that if Sam or Tucker came to visit while he was away, they would know.  Then he left.  There wasn’t exactly anything stopping him from going whenever and wherever he pleased, after all.  No family to worry, no responsibilities to keep up with, no provisions to gather, no borders keeping him in, other than the edges of the woods themselves.
He leapt up into the trees, and trotted along the branches as a forest cat, leaping easily from tree to tree whenever there was a gap.  Shapeshifting came to him more and more easily as time went on (as long as he stayed in the trees, that is), and he’d tried out a lot of different forms, but, surprisingly, he liked being a cat.  Maybe that was just because it was the first shape he’d ever shifted to, after being changed into… whatever he was now.  But it had a lot going for it.  Small, fast, good at hiding, good at climbing, good at jumping, decent natural weapons, sharp ears and eyes.
Magical places were unmappable, but they weren’t unnavigable, and Danny was well aware when he left his explored bubble.  His fur stood on end in anticipation at first, but with a conscious effort, he slicked it down.  If something did attack him, he didn’t need to be that fluffy.
He wasn’t scared.
Just excited.
He climbed unfamiliar trees, skirted clearings and small ponds, and, in fits of whimsy or boredom, chased strange rodents.  He did not get lost.  The sense of where home was pressed gently against the back of his mind, in the same place his awareness of the trees and their help rested.  He wondered if that sense of home was from the trees, too, or from something else, and he briefly jumped to the ground to test it.
At once, he felt his body change.  Longer, a bit sharper, more triangular.  He could see his pointed muzzle more easily, and while the pattern of his fur seemed to be the same, black with white points, it was sleeker.
He was a fox.  He was fairly confident he was a fox.  His tail seemed unnaturally long, however, and he wasted a few minutes twisting to look at it.
There was also something on his head, growing between his ears, something partially rigid and partially soft that brushed against his peripheral vision.
Danny did not like losing control of his shapeshifting.  He hated being trapped in unfamiliar bodies at the whim of the Woods.  Usually, he’d jump back up into the trees as soon as he could.  But… He was also curious, darn it.
Padding around roots and through the underbrush, Danny backtracked to a pond he’d seen before and peered into his reflection.
He was a fox.  There were also branches growing out of his head, no longer than his ears, antler-like and heavy with densely-clustered snowy flowers, leaves, and shiny little black and white fruit.
Huh.  He wondered what those tasted like.  He raised one paw and batted at the fruit.  There was a tiny, pinching pain as one, black and gleaming, detached and rolled on the ground.  He sniffed it.
He… probably wouldn’t be poisoned by something his own body had produced, right?  A person could even drink their own urine without much issue, if the circumstances demanded it…
Delicately, he picked up the berry with his lips, then crushed it against the roof of his mouth with his tongue.  It was sweet, but otherwise had the same sort of metallic tang as blood.  Weird.
… Was his blood in those?
A shriek split the air.  Human.  Terrified.  Danny stiffened, ears rotating, trying to get a better idea of where the sound had come from.
He shivered, all his fur standing on end as he experienced what he could only describe as a tiny tug on his entire being.  He took off, slipping through gaps in the trees easily, as if he knew this part of the Woods intimately, despite never having been here before.
Only moments later, he hit what looked like the beginnings of a campsite.  A group of humans - a small merchant family, maybe, three adults and children - stood with their backs against a tree as wolves circled closer.
Danny called them wolves, because he didn’t know what else to call them.  They were too big, too dark, and their coats flickered green.  He slid in between them and the humans, snarling and instinctively reaching for a shape like the ones in front of him–
There was a sensation not unlike something not unkindly slapping his mental hands away.  No, said the thing in the back of his mind.  That one has killed.  Danny couldn’t have it, couldn’t be it.  He shifted his focus to one of the others, and grew into the general shape, his antlers not disappearing, but going sharp and thorny.  He felt brambles with thick, sharp thorns wend their way out of his flesh and wrap around his limbs like armor.
He snarled again, this time much deeper.
The wolves snarled back, but except for the first, the leader, they backed away.  Danny and the wolf circled each other for a few minutes, sizing each other up, then they leapt at one another, biting and clawing.
The wolf was strong, and used to being itself.  But Danny was strong, too, and the Woods let him cheat.  The wolf stumbled away from him, whining and showing its throat.
Danny sniffed and jerked his head to one side.  There should be a herd of deer in that direction, much better to eat than humans.  The wolves were animals, not people, not intelligent in the way people were, but in the same way the Woods let him know things, it let him whisper things.  The wolves left, tails between their legs.
Good.  Good.  Danny had never exactly done anything like this, but thank goodness no one was hurt.  He turned to see if any of the travelers had been hurt and–
An iron pot hit his shoulder, making him stumble and yelp.
“Get– Get away!  Get out of here, monster!”
A rain of other small objects that the humans had to hand pelted him, and he fled without further prompting, shrinking, shrinking, not knowing or caring what he was turning into until his paws became wings and carried him into the nearest tree.  At once, he resumed human shape, and huddled in on himself.
He’d forgotten.
He’d forgotten, which was ridiculous, because everything about him should have been a reminder.
… Sam and Tucker made it easy to forget.
(At least no one had gotten hurt.  He could still hang on to that, couldn’t he?)
He spent that night in the tree, but not the next.  Crying and sulking in trees was not a good coping mechanism, and he had better things to do.

Zetsu’s Daily Texts from the Akatsuki
From Nagato
You can’t keep eating them without checking to see if we’re using them first.
300 miles? Is that really the closest?!
I can put you with Tobi or Hidan. Take your pick.
Put the letters where they can find them, then stay somewhere hidden to see their reactions.
Keep an eye on them please. No explosions, no sacrifices. Nothing to draw attention.
I’ve been practicing every day. Legs feel stronger.
I’d only risk it if you also want to risk being placed in a gengetsu.
I’m sure I’ll be gone before her. All I ask is she be well taken care of. It’s all that matters.
No. Under no circumstances. I need them all ALIVE and able to work, please.
You can ask but she’ll probably hit you hard enough to REALLY split you in half.
From Kakuzu
Yes well your appetite is proving quite costly.
Find where he’s hiding and Ill give you a third of his bounty.
I’m not so sure that “intelligence” is a quality I’d associate with any of them.
Actually if you could naturally produce that we could sell bottles and make some money 🤔
Much, much too expensive.
I don’t care if you eat him but wait until I get his heart out first.
I’d rather you ate me; my body won’t be on display for him to entertain Deidara with.
It’s complicated. And by complicated I mean I let a one time physical urge turn into a years-long relationship.
It’s the 1st. Rent and utilities are due.
If I didn’t we wouldn’t have *anything*. Be grateful.
I’m not sure if my threads would hold for plant-skin.
Stop losing them for God’s sake each one costs $50 in materials to make!!
I’ll take your word for it. That voice creeps me out.
From Konan
Please don’t ever do that again. Nagato almost had a heart attack. 😡
It’s funny in a shouldn’t be funny way.
Wait you’ve seen him without the mask 👀
No I don’t care if they’re annoying we don’t have the time to replace them now!!
Ask Sasori to take a look. He enjoys a challenge.
I don’t care how easy it was to get, I’m NOT cooking with that kind of “meat” 🤢
No offense but do you even have nails 🤔
I’d rather we didn’t need to pick up and move again unless absolutely necessary.
Since we were children 🥰
I’d kill anyone who tried. With my bare hands.
Kisame may be able to but the rest will need it cooked.
You’re THAT old?! 😵‍💫
Stick to guys. I will remain the only woman in this group.
Can’t you eat them? Aren’t you part Venus fly trap??
From Hidan
Freak.
Then stop watching, weirdo!
Because if you take the body before my praying is finished then the entire ritual is void!!
Not to be gay but yeah I see what he sees.
Then steal him some damn glasses next time!
But do plants even have dicks? Like is it green? Does it smell like grass? 🤔
He’s such a liar he wanted me since the day we met 😂
I saw you eyeing that cat and so did Itachi.
How do you say “Fuck you” in plant-speak?
They’re not “pink” they’re “rose”, heathen.
Ribs without sauce is like fucking without lube. Like what’s even the point?
If I could convert even one of those fucks I’d become a High Priest for Jashin.
Can’t. Kakuzu’s “withholding my paycheck” until I pay off that bounty of his that I killed. 🙄
So come with us. Everyone’s weird you’ll fit right in.
From Sasori
Elderberry, nightshade, and primrose. For now.
A mouse learns to fear other mice before it even thinks about predators.
Please stop that you gave him nightmares last time and I couldn’t work on my puppets for a whole week 😒
I don’t care as long as it has a big enough space for a lab.
Damn blue eyes trapped me for eternity.
An interesting experiment, certainly.
I have vague memories but that’s all.
You appear to be “friends” so talk to him and tell him to back off.
Who do you think I am? That freak Orochimaru?!
I don’t buy that stupid act for a second.
If I suggested aloe vera would you find that insulting?
You and I are the least bothersome in terms of eating. I don’t, and you hunt.
I’ll contribute when the expense is relative to me.
From Kisame
So far only Itachi knows about it but the water there is clear and beautiful.
Your way of thinking is truly fascinating.
Of course you’re welcome to join us but you’ve voiced objections before to both tea and sweets.
No, I’ll BURY him myself before I let you eat him.
Crab and shrimp. Especially crab.
I’m aware. His smell is getting weaker and his chakra is shaky.
I admire your patience for it but I don’t do so well in the sun for so long.
Again? Why?? Who attracted attention this time? 😒
I don’t but Samehada seems to.
The battlefield is empty. Care to join me at the buffet? 😋
Between the prayer rituals and the constant bombing I just can’t handle either of them.
Salt is for the weak. Pure fear flavors the meat better than any seasoning.
From Deidara
You can’t prove that was me, that could have been anyone!
If I’m successful there won’t BE anything left of me to eat so 🤷🏼
Idk you just look gray. Maybe stand in the sun for a while?
Ok we may eat more BUT his food costs more!
Wait is it real hair or like plant stuff 🤔
I didn’t this time he was dancing and he tripped on his cloak like an idiot.
Honestly not until I met Sasori lol
Omg where?! Riverbanks are always a goldmine of natural clay! 🤩
I get that but I’m just not interested, eternity is so boring.
Low key he goes into this voice sometimes that scares the piss out of me.
Bc it’s weird man it’d be like watching my mother shower or something 😖
Like usual he couldn’t shut up and almost got us killed on the spot 😡
Not unless you want to pick the lice out of my hair afterwards.
From Itachi
Not sure of the exact dynamics but I think it’s second or third cousins.
Maybe it’s best we all just live with our own partners. Too many in one area and eventually someone figures it out.
No he’s as gentle as possible. I just have sensitive skin.
Yes but cabbage is so versatile.
You saw him? Did he look well? 👀
The glasses help some but most everything is still a massive blur.
I tried. Nagato tried. He refuses to give up on the idea.
There is no “before” and there’s no “after0. There’s just NOW.
No I know he ate it because he had the jam smeared all over his collar.
22 doesn’t really interest me.
From Obito
The right arm still twitches if I try to lift too much.
Come on weren’t YOU happy when he died?!
He can’t turn me down forever. Just picture him with the Uchiha fan on his back 😍
Yeah well he’s still my little cousin and I still worry.
I think it scares him a little, he almost walked into a tree that first time I did it on accident.
It’s not excessive; the sugar is literally the only thing pushing me forward right now.
I would bet money that he’s the worst Sensei ever to those kids. No wonder Sasuke was so weak.
The constant money woes are so tedious.
Blind or not his reflexes are unmatched and he could still take me out in one move.
We should have put more emphasis on intelligent and less on “skills”.
You’ve gotta admit the explosions DO liven things up 🤷🏻
What if you ate him and he could still talk from inside of your stomach though? Is that a chance you want to take?
Bonus: From Madara
He stopped responding two years ago he acts like I’m dead.
What? That little shit. 😡
If the blonde is giving him too much of a distraction, dispose of him.
You don’t need to pre-chew my food I’m not a baby bird.
Have you seen my good blanket?
What happened to my slippers?
🍆 I want this. I’m craving this so bad. Please bring it to me.
Tell that boy to come back I need a good bath and a haircut.
Perhaps if you hadn’t recruited so many *brats* you wouldn’t be having such an issue.
Whatever you do, do NOT let them breed.
Did you remember where I stashed my last painting of Hashirama?
If I was younger I could have eliminated the entire group within seconds. They’d never even know what hit them.
Please procure a backscratcher and industrial grade toenail clippers.
Wait until he sleeps and move several large rocks into his room. I guarantee he’ll cry.
First that young lass, then the Hatake boy, now the blonde. He never learns his lesson does he?
What do you mean he cut it?? An Uchiha’s hair is his crown! Tell him to get back here NOW.
I should have chosen Fugaku’s son instead. Likely a lot less crying.
