Chapter 139 was a well-deserved ending

I've seen a bunch of fans claim that the ending didn't feel right. That it wasn't as tragic as what the build-up was coming to(?) and that it's not heartbreaking as Isayama said it would.

Well, lemme ask you this:

Do you mean that seeing Eren cry about the life he gave away for the sake of freedom isn't heartbreaking for you?

Eren crying because he couldn't have the chance to love the person he loves and instead gave her the worst pain possible?

In the end, he painted himself as the big bad and sacrificed his life, his name, his chance for a short but happy life, and carries the guilt of killing 80% of the population with him. He did all that with the knowledge of how the world will still remain in conflict after he dies..

How is that not heartbreaking??!

He literally died like every Survey Corps member, letting those who are alive to continue his fight for him. And his friends? man, all of them will have to carry Eren's secret with them. They will spend the rest of their lives hearing stories of Eren, the demon that annihilated the world, while receiving praise and compliments for killing him; the true friend whose dream is to see them all happy.

Go on, tell me what is a more heartbreaking ending. I'll fcking wait.

White Lily: Purity, chastity and goodness. I really care about this Manga, it means lot for me. It allowed me to know people, to fell in love, to live awesome experiences, to cry, to empathize with the main protagonists... To be who I'm now. SPOILER. . . . . I liked the end. No happy ending would suit the manga, Eren had to die for let his friends live a better life, he sacrificed himself even if he would continue to live with them, he never wanted to inherited, never wanted to be a hero, he just wanted to have a normal life....
