Another 5 sentence (paragraph) for viktor?? Maybe him being such a creature of habit visiting the same bakery just about daily and always getting the same thing- mainly because he thinks the girl behind the counter is cute not thinking she notices him too much past being a regular but she sort of looks out for him? Brings him pastries to the lab when he doesn't come by upon jayces instruction of where he is.

You glance at the clock on the wall, and then at the door; when no one walks through, you also glance out at the street through the large windows lining the front of the shop. Once again, though, no one is there; no customers, nor passerby. You try to ignore the pang of sadness in your chest, but without any patrons to distract you it proves difficult. It wasn’t a busy time of day, so you’re not really surprised that no one is vying for a pastry at the moment - but that’s not what you’re upset about. For months now, you’d had a regular customer -Viktor, his name was- and every day like clockwork, he would come into your shop to purchase a custard pastry and an over-sugared coffee with sweetmilk.

But not today, it seemed. Such a fact certainly dampered your mood, but you knew it had only been a matter of time. Viktor was a busy man, you had learned, and during his visits over the past week, he’d looked increasingly stressed and tired. You had, of course, asked him about what was bothering him so much, and it hadn’t taken much prodding for him to air out his anxieties. You didn’t understand most of the technical jargon during his rant, but you certainly understood what it meant to be overworked: years ago, when you had worked as an apprentice for another shop closer to the edge of the city, you had been much the same - thirteen hour shifts, early mornings, late nights, and lots of coffee.

You quickly walk to the front door and flip the little ‘open for business’ sign over, noting the shop as closed instead. Viktor had said on many occasions what a wonder your coffee and treats were, and how it was something in his day that he always actively looked forward to. So, you decide, if he wasn’t able to find time in his schedule to come to you, then you would simply have to go to him. He had told you once where he worked: had it been an off-handed comment? Yes. But that didn’t matter.

Half an hour later, you’re out of breath and perhaps a little more sweaty than you wanted to be, but you had found Viktor’s lab. It had taken several wrong turns, and a couple of stops to consult a map and ask strangers for directions, but you had found it. Pleased with yourself, you knock on the door and push it open a crack, poking your head in. Two pairs of eyes immediately zero in on you, and Viktor looks stunned. “What are you doing here?” he asks, yanking the pair of goggles off his head, “did something happen?”

You smile widely, and present the tray of food from behind your back. “You didn’t come by today,” you explain, “and you said you’d been exceptionally crammed lately. I thought I’d bring some of the bakery to you - and Jayce of course.” You tack on the last bit when said partner pouts longingly at the snacks. Viktor’s surprise quickly morphs into something warmer and softer, and he gestures you further into the lab. “I won’t keep you, I know you’re busy” you say, setting the tray down nearby. “I just wanted to make sure that you eat something. I can come by tomorrow, if you’d like?” Viktor opens his mouth to reply, but before he’s about to thank you and agree, Jayce pipes up that yes, you should definitely come by tomorrow.

i know nothing about the devils except jack hughes is good and lots of them are pretty 🤷‍♀️ what's your general take on the team & who are your faves & anything else you wanna talk about? ❤️

alright alright ALRIGHT im finally getting to this one lets GO.

miles wood is the hottest guy on the team, and also the second oldest, somehow. the devils are basically just a college hockey team plus miles wood and andread johnsson (who used to be a leaf and more than likely will be going to seattle) and pk subban. they legit just traded every single one of their vets, they simply said no veteran leadership, only nico hischier. who is captain now, and who i am in deep gay love with. excellent vibes, excellent player, excellent eyebrows. love that bitch so so much tbh. 

mac blackwood is their goalie, he’s absolutely elite and he looks like a dude that works in a frozen banana shop on a california boardwalk and surfs in his spare time. excellent vibes, 10/10 would recommend. ty smith is their rookie dman, hes great and he and jack hughes are roommates and ty does all the cooking and cleaning apparently, and also they were ENEMIES at some point and i love them. pk subban is pk subban; not as talented as he once was but a fucking ray of sunshine all the same. i love him as well. damon severson is also important and does have an a, but honestly hes kinda boring. connor carrick will always be the love of my life because he was also once a leaf, and he was the hill i wouldve died on but he kinda got mike babcock-ed.

then, of course, youve got mikey mcleod and nate bastian, who are on a line with miles wood now (the bmw line, which is great), and who are otherwise known as the superbuddies because they have been on the same team for literal years, from their junior team the missisauga steelheads to the devs’ ahl team the binghampton devils to the current new jersey devils. theyve been asked multiple times if theyve ever gotten sick of each other, and both have said no. its all incredibly romantic. what a narrative.

and for the obligatory draft class of 2015er, youve got pavel zacha, who has been underwhelming but is very much starting to come into himself. the devils also have a FUCK TON of rookies, but the best of the bunch (other than ty smith) has been imo egor sharangovich, who he very pretty and can score goals and has a very lovely wife. will butcher and the jespers (who do not pronounce their names the same way despite the spelling and also being from the same country) are also players to watch.

its worth noting that legit the only players on this team who have played more than 250 nhl games are pk subban, damon severson, ryan murray, miles wood, and pavel zacha. wild shit.

First of all, I may or may not have screamed when I saw the ask was yours (lowkey fangirling ngl). Noks (can I call you that?), you just made me the happiest human alive by feeding my procrastination, thank you so much <3

Now to the questions:

3. What is that one scene that you’ve always wanted to write but can’t be arsed to write all of the set-up and context it would need? (consider this permission to write it and/or share it anyway)

Viktor and an OC I'm working on fighting over augmentations. Like this heated argument where they are screaming to each other and cursing, saying all they wouldn't even be able to pronounce with a calm mind while Viktor just slips a truth he wishes he didn't —not because is an insult, but because it's a feeling, and he didn't meant to get the oc more involved in his transformation than she already was.— I want it to be filled with anger and held back feelings, but i need to really build their relationship before I get to that.

4. Share a sentence or paragraph from your writing that you’re really proud of (explain why, if you like)

"Your hearts beat to the same rhythm as he pressed his chest against yours, making sure you were still there with him, holding you into his arms just for a few more seconds.

Or at least that's would have happened if he decided to open the door."

One Last Night was supposed to have a completely different ending, where Jayce caught Viktor and the reader sleeping together and (maybe) stepped back from the engagement. That was the original plan, but it made the story seem pointless. I cry with my own writing more than I'd like to admit and the idea of an angsty "what if?" just kept stuck in my head waiting for me to write it, and what could be more heartbreaking than a goodbye you couldn't say? If you read that fic carefully, you can tell that the reader entering the lab seems off because I never mentioned Viktor opening the door, but I know that's a detail that's hard to perceive.

I actually had my roommate read the fic and when she got to that exact sentence she gasped, cursed at me in german, and looked at me in disbelieve; and from what I saw in the reblogs and comments, you guys had a similar reaction, so that's why I love it so much hehe.

20. Tell us the meta about your writing that you really want to ramble to people about (symbolism you’ve included, character or relationship development that you love, hidden references, callbacks or clues for future scenes?)

I'LL NEVER SHUT UP ABOUT THE PARALLELISM FROM THE EXTRA STORY IN ENCHANTED TO MEET YOU OKAY? LIKE THE READER FIXING THE MISTAKES BLITZCRANK'S POWER UNIT HAD, WHEN VIKTOR MISSED THAT FACT WHEN BUILDING HIS OWN AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT CAUSED HIS ENDING. Also, the brief description of their first meeting in the beginning, and the extended version on the extra story... Enchanted To Meet You is probably my favorite fic I've written so far, mainly because it was my first ever idea to start this blog (even if it wasn't the first I posted).

Adding to that, I have used (and will continue using) flowers as symbolisms. Every flower has a completely different meaning and whenever I use them on a fic it's for a reason (Little White Lie, for example, and another fic I hope to finish by Valentine's day) Flowers are beautiful but people only seem to associate them with love, but they hold so many motives and meanings hidden that I just adore bringing to light in some fics.

As you can tell, I like flowers, a lot.

I also have some strong symbolisms planned for a future long fic that follows the arcane timeline, but that's something I'll talk about later since it's angst and I can't it to hurt bad <3
