tell me about the two vanitases. vaniti

Post I made a while ago about it (might be slightly awkward / messy bc it’s from 2 years ago) :)

Essentially, at the end of bbs Vanitas and ven have a “battle of hearts” (similar to Roxas and sora in kh2) and Vanitas, as the weaker heart, loses and retreats back into his “origin”, ven’s heart. We see sparkles dissipate into vens stain glass, signifying that Vanitas has become embedded into ven’s heart. THEN ven becomes embedded in Sora’s heart, thus making a sort of matryoshka effect inside of sora;

sora<-(inside, ven [<-inside, vanitas])

Cut to ddd where sora is DEEP inside his own heart and thus coming across a lot of shit embedded within. Including Vanitas who appears as a fractured vision saying Sora’s heart is a prison “even if he’s not the prisoner.” Upon hearing this most people’s immediate thought would be *terra/aqua voice* ven!! But most people miss the hidden layer (cleverness intended) that would also mean Vanitas since he’s inside ven. Of course if someone is locked inside a prisoner in jail that also means they’re in the prison, whether them also being locked up was intentional or not

Cut to kh3. The first instance we see Vanitas is monsters inc. but we don’t see Vanitas first, we see the manifestation of his power because as he explains he needed enough energy to come back to life. The clever part about this is this only happens because sora is there with ven in his heart, thus physically bringing Vanitas’s heart to a place where he can regenerate and, if the plan works out, extract himself/ven from Sora’s body. There’s an extra bonus that the power becomes even more potent by upsetting sora and therefor having a STRONG sense of negativity which had been building in our poor boy all game, and as Ansem The Wise said, sora is able to make things be real and that means he was able to make Vanitas come back to life without whatever Xehanort did to make him, even though he didn’t mean to

Then Vanitas gets bodied by scully and thrown into a door, seemingly gone forever

Then like 3 seconds later we see him again in the land of departure. But. Wait. Didn’t scully just throw him to somewhere in Connecticut?

Act II: The second Vanitas

This Vanitas is a replica Xehanort pulled from the post. Xehanort had no fucking clue where Vanitas went after bbs bc he just disappears and honestly he clearly didn’t care because hes always known could just make another one so he does. The reason I know this isn’t monsters inc Vanitas is because one that’s impossible, it was 100% intentional this scene happens after yeetus Vanitas, and two Vanitas acts. Different. For one he’s much more brazen than he was in MI, instead of just his long winded monologuing he’s actually goading them on and being arrogant and feisty and trying to fight, immediately transporting us back to the kind of personality he had before. You know. Ven kicked his ass. And he also teleports and does magic and is way stronger than MI Vanitas because that Vanitas had just formed. There’s no possible way he had all his strength back after being rebirthed for 3 seconds so the fact that he was able to hold his own against aqua who’s been fighting nonstop for 10 years definitely raises an eyebrow and points to this theory because how was that possible and why didn’t he fight in MI if this was the case.

Some people have pointed out that it’s weird Vanitas wears a cloak of darkness in MI and thinking about it I think there’s two answers. The first is he was weak and I think it’s possible the cloak could protect him, esp if he’s not fully darkness anymore bc he has his own heart, has regenerated on his own instead of being extracted by Xehanort’s dark power, and was touched by two very powerful lights for like 10 years (they probably got their light cooties on him lol) and two, I think he was hiding from Xehanort. Vanitas likely knew of his plan since his conception even though he might not have fully understood was it was and therefore he would’ve known what was going on in kh3 and been like “shit. I’m not following the plan bc I’m not even a part of the plan anymore so Xehanort can’t find out.” Because if you remember in com DiZ says the cloaks can hide you from anyone and if Xehanort knew Vanitas was back he would at the very least force him to do his plan again or at the worst destroy him because he’s an unknown factor

Then sora fights replica Vanitas and he goes back into the past and somewhere out there Vanitas is walking around the streets of New York (or shibuya) having no clue what the fuck is going on

So yes. Two Vanitases bc we can’t get enough of this boy. Two of them

I think Mitch would call himself an animal person over either, but he's partial to dogs. We know they had a dog at some point, and he just kinda has that vibe to me, of needing the stability a dog offers versus that of a cat. That being said, I do love the idea of a youthful Mitch taking care of a mess of barn cats who adopted them as one of the last holdout farms in the area.

firstly, this was for my lee!george week - and we all are aware of how I am with george and his ribs, so this should be no surprise to anyone who has ever read my fics before ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and like I said in the tags on this fic I literally sent cal a diagram of the exact rib I was talking about and we had a very thorough conversation about it

I think originally, it was just gonna be snf or knf. but then when I was thinking about it, the idea of two people getting both sides of his ribcage so that every single bone is getting the attention it deserves????? it was waaaay too good to pass up. so it became a banter fic :D

I found some brainrot of this fic with cal, and we were literally laughing about how sapnap would never let george talk to karl with any type of attitude, and just kept talking about different ways that they could fuck up his ribs and make him scream. it was......truly something 🫠

also! I kept replaying this clip of george's laugh from banter (my favorite laugh of his ever to date) and kept imagining him laughing all cutely like this throughout the whole thing - besides when he was literally dying and screaming, of course :D

so like...long story short, there wasn't a huge reason this fic came to be, basically just knew I wanted to focus on a day for ribs for lee!george week and this is what happened!

(btw the placement of the rib on george had nothing to do with anything ever, there is no reason I picked this specific rib at all!!! :D so everyone can be quiet about that <3 same with the techniques <3)

this one is kinda tough tbh bc cheating fics aren't generally my thing but I SO wanna write this lol

it was inspired by one line in a song (the line is from mgk's loco and it's 'got a man at home but she loves the way i taste' haha) and basically it's buck cheating on taylor with eddie - starts with one drunken 'mistake' and they write it off as a one-time thing, but then it continues, and Buck is basically dating Taylor, but fucking Eddie - and Eddie's so in love with him, and hates the cheating part, but also he'll take any part of buck he can get, and hopes maybe eventually buck realizes he loves him too - or he'll get the strength to end this

Idk, i kinda love this and i so wanna get to it aaahhh

(also, I just looked it up in my convos with @thebravebitch who hears first about all new ideas <3 and apparently it was also prompted by @eddiebabygirldiaz wonderful blow job fic, and all the talk about tasting eddie combined with this song created this idea haha)

Eddie’s gaze drops to Buck’s lips once again, and Buck should stop it, they should not be doing this, he’s in a relationship already, and, more importantly, he can’t risk his friendship with Eddie.  But then Eddie’s grip on his leg tightens, and his other hand ends up on the side of Buck’s neck, and, well, Buck’s not really clear-headed right now. So he closes the distance, and when his lips touch Eddie’s, he can’t even remember why it was a bad idea in the first place.

of course i am!! <3 i love literature!! but if i’m being completely honest i mostly read 18th century lit HAHAHA ick that sounds so pretentious LMAO (/ω＼) hmm the only rec i have for you is wuthering heights, because catherine and heathcliff’s relationship is definitely Something. you didn’t ask about films, BUT i love film with all my heart and i am going to recommend true romance if you’re looking for a relationship similar to the relationships i create in my writing! true romance is one of my favourite films ever and clarence + alabama’s relationship serves as huge inspiration for the ones i write! <3

other than that, i’ve heard that a bunch of the ‘dark romance’ genre books recommended on tiktok etc. have similar toxic relationships and scenarios to the ones i write! i haven’t ever read any of them, so i can’t give you titles or speak to how well they’re written, but you can always look into that genre and see if you can find a list of recs for it! i’m sure there’s tons floating around on google + social media! good luck anon <3

Falco takes everything he says to heart and on prom day gets ready half an hour earlier to pick up Gabi like a true gentleman. That is until Gabi shows up at his house because Mikasa told her to go one hour early.

Heh, that would be a twist! Poor Falco, trying to impress Gabi, only to find out that she'd already upstaged him. But I think he will quickly recover from this, he's a little sunshine so it's unlikely that this would upset him that much

But imagine Jean's reaction - if anything, he'd get the biggest hurt out of the situation with all his plans crumbling away. Bet, Mikasa and Jean would thoroughly talk this out as they drive both Falco and Gabi to prom. Don't think that Jean would stay forever mad at this situation tho - after all, two of them had also been like that, trying to upstage each other in their displays of affection

“In 10 days, you will need to have them removed. You can ask Dustin or Robin to take you to Joyce,” he gave a pointed look at the two shadows behind Eddie, “as I’m sure you’ll be more comfortable with her. Wash it nightly, unless you do any dirty work, then even more frequently than that.”

Eddie barely looked like he was paying attention, but for his sake, Steve hoped he had been. Or at least, Dustin or Robin had been paying attention enough to tell him again later, if necessary.

the fic in question is 'When the day is new' from Bel @francophones, post-retirement piarles and yea...that part still makes me so emotional..."He rests his forehead against the back of Charles’s neck, nosing at the sparse grays that Charles hates and Pierre loves" idk i LOVE soulmates in love forever and ever, choosing each other every day, growing old together...also this part: "Pierre admires the way Charles' raw edges have softened with age. The terrain of his body has shifted slightly with every decade of their lives, but he remains just as infuriatingly attractive to Pierre as he was at seventeen, twenty four, thirty. Pierre expects this will always be the case." my heart!!!!!
