People like to think that Dani is stupid. He knows this. He’s known it since he was small and couldn’t convince the other kids at his desk in school to cheer Alba on during her spelling bee competition, even though she was always mean to him and laughed when he couldn’t remember four times five. His friends had just looked at him sadly, the way you look at puppies who haven’t figured out yet that the food on the table isn’t for them, and asked him why he’d ever want to be nice to someone who’d never had a kind word for him. The truth of it had been that Dani had seen Alba crying at recess that morning because her family cat had run off in the night. He’d decided to sit next to her and let her cry, and at the end of it she’d given him an awkward hug and wiped the tears off her face and asked him to please not tell anyone. Dani had solemnly promised not to, and so he hadn’t. See, Dani knows another thing, a thing that others don’t: He’s not stupid. He’s just observant, and sometimes he happens to be at the right place in the right time. Which is how, standing on the pitch with Jamie’s shoulders held between his hands, he notices the way that his favorite striker is quivering like a bunny in the cold beneath his touch. And his eyes, even though they seem to be looking into Dani’s, are distant and opaque, far away from this world.

🍓 Do you have a dream project? What would you craft if you had infinite time and money?

I think the [tawny sweater] is my current dream project because I've tried SO HARD to find good yarn for it and keep coming up short - either doesn't meat gauge, doesn't look right striped up.... I might've found one of the colors finally though!! just trying to find something that'll make it shine as the pattern deserves.

if I had infinite time and money.... I'd probably keep knitting what i'm knitting tbh XD maybe More sweaters since they do take a lot of time HAH

My stage coach sweater !!!!!! it turned out SO GOOD with the colors, and it looks SO !! GOOD on me omfg. I've wanted a stage coach sweater for a while and just have had the worst luck with finding good yarn for it then these sort of fell into my lap when I was looking at the project page again. I also had to adjust the neckline (too wide for me originally) and my friend Song was a gift at helping me adjust it to fit better

8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about

this won't be new to anyone who's been following me for more than 0.2 seconds but i resent any portrayal of the skyrim dark brotherhood as a found family. they're reluctant colleagues at best and a cult at worst. even if you take the pro-DB stance that the game assumes, it still v much pushes this narrative of a brotherhood that is long past its glory days. every 'incorrect quotes' abt them has me going well they would not fucking say that.

also astrid was right, cicero's writing is ham-fisted and ableist, and nazir gets either completely overlooked or hypersexualised by his few more vocal 'fans'

this is all making me sound as if i'm way more into the DB than i am but i think it can be interesting if portrayed in a way that takes it a little more seriously. the campy murder cult makes for fun gameplay but doesn't interest me much narratively when taken at face value.

Buddy, you're talking to someone who wasn't even allowed to be within a 5 mile radius near anything that was related to romance. Plus, I grew up watching TMNT and The Loud House, which are full of multiple platonic relationships 😭 (my family specifically made me skip the romance episodes)

In other words, it is extremely hard for me to see something as romantic. Even if I did see a ship I liked, I mostly see them as just, an innocent couple. That's it. No dirty stuff, no horny sh*t, no kissing. just, cuddles, nuzzling and innocent smiles 😭

I had the question come to me while listening to his playlist.

How does Doug Eiffel dance?

Is he coordinated? Is he just jamming? How is he when it comes to dance with someone (aka like Hera?)?

i love this question. i know two things with absolute certainty: 1) eiffel loves to dance, and 2) eiffel is not good at dancing. he is notably not coordinated, he's accident prone, but he's a very physical person - always in motion, he talks with his hands, bounces his leg, taps on things, etc. ... he's got energy to burn. he's just jamming for sure; he's enthusiastic, and it doesn't bother him if he looks ridiculous because that's... kind of the point? i think he learned to dance in ways that would make people laugh because just hamming it up on purpose and leaning into that gets more of a reaction.

(and i honestly think eiffel has enough of a sense for music that he probably could be... maybe not a great dancer, but certainly a better one if he cared to really try, but really trying would require dealing with failure, dedicated practice, and a lot of vulnerability.)

but, that said, i think the fact he's kinda free-spirited and goofy about it gets people to dance with him who otherwise might not. he's good at... taking the pressure off? making people comfortable enough to get silly with it. he absolutely, like, comically 'waltzes' to the classical music transmissions for hera's attention, etc. if she had a body, he would step on her toes, but if hera had a body she could dance with, i don't think she'd really mind. eiffel's not going to be pulling off any fancy partnered dances, but he's perfectly capable of swaying to music and maybe twirling her around a bit. i think she'd be happy enough with that.

Basically, you open the book and transform into fried chicken for exactly three minutes. If you can go that long without being eaten, you transform back and win! And if you don't......well, I'm sure you can imagine what happens :)

Multiple variations of these three minute forbidden books exist and while you should avoid playing any of them around Beelzebub, the Forbidden Book of Ten Minute Demonus is the one you definitely should not play around Lucifer under any circumstance.
