lucas & el — could talk about it forever, as we know, i could write books about them with all the potential s1 left them with. the hero and the pragmatist, the two who understand each other bc they saw the flaws first. beloveds.

lucas & dustin — idiots of the highest order, great comedic potential, but also so much heart. i like to think of them as the probability calculator (lucas) and the speculator (dustin). there's sm that fascinates me about their outlook and the differences between them, but equally it's delightful to see them on the same wavelength, to make a great team. i really think there'd be sm more in terms of plot that could be done with them. again, could write books.

lucas & max — this one's to be expected. they make me want to chew gravel etc. they can be so funny, but they get each other despite being very different and complement each other because of it. again, bc the show has a weak spot writing lucas, there's a lot about the reciprocity of this relationship that i like to imagine. it's a shame they never rly show us how max is there for lucas bc i think that could have added a dimension to the ship that exists in my head.

lucas & erica — again, u n d e r - e x p l o r e d, but man. elder brother lucas >>> i'm one of the ppl that is of the opinion that lucas and erica will probably grow closer and be better communicators as they get older bc rn they're a teen and a pre-teen and uh... well let's just say my sibling and i get along really well, but growing up we were more like that. i'm a sucker for sibling dynamics, i love them sm and i think it adds a lot to lucas' character that he's the oldest of two. also, erica is my baby, let them hug!! (and for the horror dimension of it all, the slow taking over of the younger ones...... from nancy to mike to lucas to erica. man.)

lucas & mike — they're so smart, they're so dumb, they're best friends, they're neighbors, they annoy each other via walkies and lucas won't follow the right protocol and mike always corrects him. i just think they're neat and that they need each other. will sort of took on lucas' function as the lancer in s4, but willmike ultimately shares an idealism that lucas doesn't have, which makes his dynamic with mike so special to me. he needs these ppl to believe in things and they need him to remind him of the cost of focusing solely on one goal

i didn't include ellucasmax, which is technically its own thing, but i kept it to the duos and a lot about elumax is my love for their individual dynamics so see above.

Hello!! I've been reading through ur "Everyone Loves Shang Qinghua (My Canon Now)" collection on ao3 and wanted to let u know i enjoyed it a lot!! SQH is by far my favourite character from svsss and im really excited to see other people in the fandom recognising his greatness. Ur stories were very entertaining and i really like ur dialogue!! Ive also really liked ur takes on some of the character dynamics. Oh and the peak lord ocs were super fun, tho i feel a bit sad for the pining one lol. I have read a few stories myself where the wording was so flowery on description and dialogue and just overall that it felt like I was trying to eat too big a bite of food when I was already stuffed. Always gonna be the back button on that for me. In light of that I do try to make sure I don’t go off the rails and make stuff too hard to follow in my own writing. I’m trying to feed you nice meals and/or snacks, not stuff you until you burst ;D

so 1st — i wanted to keep it as canon as possible while modernizing it && in a scrapped scene , silver actually told yn that she works as a . . hacker of some sort . really , my idea was that kafka was unemployed n was gonna mooch off of yn but i scrapped that too - so i hadn ’ t really re-thought abt what kafka ’ s ( or blade ’ s ) jobs were . jst know that it ’ s smth shady lol .

2nd — jing yuan ’ s ‘explanation’ was jst going to be a lie . in my head , i ’ d came up w him saying smth along the lines of “ it ’ s not what it looks like / we ’ re jst close / etc etc” real cliche && douche-y becuz . . he’s a douche lol . also in my head he eventually came down from tingyun && yukong approached him to set him straight , telling him he broke your heart nd that he never deserves you , yadda yadda

3rd — thank u so much for ur compliments ! ! i actually didnt know what direction i was taking the fic in because my original idea was a lil’ bit . . darker . i reworked the story multiple times becuz i kept getting stumped nd figured that something a bit lighter would be easier to work on . i always knew i wanted blade to have a crush on the reader but initially , it was gonna be smth more obsessive && borderline concerning as opposed to the more tame version of him here . basically , the whole idea is that kafka jst wants to help ! blade is shy and bad w his emotions && reader is similar . in a way , it’s abt bringing both out of their shells ( if u want to add meaning to the filth lol ) . nd i also had planned for yn && jy to have full blown sex but i felt like the fic was leaning a bit too jy heavy ? n he’s not the focus at all he’s jst a plot device ! i struggled a lil w writing kafka becuz shes a complex chara nd i didnt wanna water her down to just being manipulative ( i hate stuf lik that so bad . . ) so i was rly praying that i did her justice 😞😞

4th — in yet another scrapped scene , kafka n jy were actually going to interact . i wanted her to kinda seduce him n show yn that hes easy nd not shit—so it was going to go a little smth like : yn & kafka go out , coincidentally run into jy, jy is eyeing kafka shamelessly , yn notices but tries to ignore it , kafka gets bold & makes a move nd he doesnt shut it down yadda yadda and then when he EVENTUALLY ‘cheats’ on yn , kafka would be like “see he wasnt shit he didn’t deserve u but yk who does ? BLADIE ! !” n then i would go on from there . i also planned that instead of sw it was kafka who dropped in on their study session but i didn’t want her to be that much of a menace 😭 in a weird way , kafka rly cares for the reader . its like . . a mix of sisterly but some type of romance but kafka wont rly cross that boundary herself yk ? in her mind she knows whats best for yn & shes always known ; hence why when they were younger she didn’t let her join in n tried to preserve her innocence kinda bcuz it just wasn’t her time . while blade isn’t the best guy , hes better than jy bcuz he has a better heart . he means well , even if he doesn’t do well whereas jy ( & guys like him ) want one thing n one thing only . if i didnt prefer writing smut , the story would’ve went different bcuz it’s less abt the sex && superficial connections . thats like rly deep for a smutshot n might not make a lotta sense but that was kinda my thought process lol

ALSO ! i planned for the mom to be kinda oblivious ? she checks in on the two & they don’t mention anything at all n shes nkt gonna suspect it cus 1) she raised yn better than that & 2) kafka has her fooled into thinking shes not a deviant lol . i think yn & blade would take it slow afterwards n she wouldn’t let her mom know until she was 100% sure he was the one becuz obv her mom wouldn’t approve 😭 it would be like . she waits till shes positive so her mom cant get into her head . its apart of this idea that shes trying to detach from that prim-proper lifestyle and live her own life , w or w/o mom’s approval .

ig in this world itd just go on normally . yn would ignore jy n after a while hed move on nd probs start dating tingyun - so theyd go their separate ways nd jst forget they ever associated w one another . blade is a lil scared cus like he doesnt think they should be tg ( bcuz of their differences ) but in classic fanfic fashion they belong together ! ! in my perfect ending they get together no matter what n grow as people tg . kafka’s proud, eventually moves out n all is well in theparty&theafterparty-ville (๑ᵔ⤙ᵔ๑)

I'm so glad you found the inspiration to write, I find it very hard to get inspo when it comes to making anything creative. Writing is a bit easier for me, but even so! I know it can take a lot of working up. I know I won't see it because you are on anon, but if you posted it I hope I will at some point come accross it and love it. I'm sure I will!

When it comes to penpalling, I started off on amino back in 2020 on a penpal amino. Though quickly I moved to instagram, and created one just for my penpalling. Before instagram butchered their recent post section under tags, it was really good for finding people and posting your letters for others to see! My first penpal was Jayda from Canada, sadly we lost touch, but my longest ongoing penpal is Bella from the UK since 2021!

omg hi its the anon who sent the jasico superhero au that was bouncin round my cranium u posted a response to back in like april if u recall i only just realised i never actually sent anything back but i was reading through my old reblogs and wanted to say the stuff u wrote fucks, like its so neat.

i love the groundworks for the worldbuilding stuff u have set up, mentioning unions and insurance stuff its so cool, and the way u gave nico like a kind of lois lane-ish journalist/possibly blogger idk vibe was stellar.

u mentioned debating whether nico would have powers, and id never considered it but immediately my brain went 'what if he doesnt at first, but gets them later on, has to deal with the implications of that on his life and such, and is just confronted with the truth of jason's secret identity, possibly without jason even knowing' idk u don't have to use that if u do wanna write more with it i just figured id share bc it just instantly popped up nagging my thoughts.

anyway yah it was super awesome to see the little idea that rolled around my mind half formed harassing me turned into something so brilliant!!!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it!! That makes me so happy to hear :D as for the worldbuilding I was blatantly inspired by the book Hench by Natalie Zina Walschots, but I took it in a different direction. The idea of Superhero unions fascinates me, and looking at a world and going "how would people react if this became a normal thing" is something I find really fun when doing worldbuilding.

And yay! I struggled a bit trying to decide what Nico was doing and decided Journalism Major fit his vibes enough that I wanted to run with it!! I hadn't even considered the Lois angle but aslksdflfk that's so fun. Too bad his superman made a terrible impression ey?

also that is a DELIGHTFUL idea. I love having to explore the repercussions of suddenly being at the same caliber of power as the heroes he writes about, trying to decide whether or not he's going to DO anything about this information... Mmmm I love that.

I had given it a lot of thought and my main sticking point was "do I want Bianca to also be alive in this au" because my initial thought was that a lot of Nico's trepidation towards heroes comes from the fact that Bianca was one and was either injured too badly in the line of duty to continue heroing, or was killed outright. I thought it would be interesting to see Nico grappling with that aspect of his sister who he looked up to, and what that profession eventually cost her, especially if she was just too injured to keep going, which would leave room for Nico's initial hero worship of Tonitro while also giving him the skepticism of "this is an inherently unfair system." In the end it didn't matter much to the snippet itself, but if/when I go back and write more (I'll be honest it's not even an if or a when because it's just so much fun for me that I have written a few more little snippets here and there of the au, just nothing polished enough to publish lol).

In any case, I was thinking about Nico having powers at the time of the Tonitro & Waterspout teamup in the ficlet and that he could/would use them to try and find Jason and potentially even help with the evacuation effort. I've got half of a scene written in my head that I now think would work really well as an accidental-identity-reveal that Jason doesn't even realize has happened. That is such a fun concept nonny, tyty

It probably means nothing but 2 things totally stood out to le yesterday weather they were intentional or not.

1. We had 2 instances where Buck was visibility uncomfortable with Taylor mentioning Lucy and he was like nope no interaction. Yet the moment the choice is talking and vibing with Eddie or interact and prevent a Lucy Taylor run in.. He chose his "BFF" forever.

2. The fireman hold. The end of 4 I think everyone was aware of Buck lifting Eddie.. Eddie of course had heroic physical moments in the beginning of 5A. But they were different in my opinion. It was almost like a power take back moment to have him do the fireman hold on the electrian. And also so mimicking to the iconic shot of him and Buck.

Oh, without a doubt that was SO meaningful. I even mentioned this in my 516 meta, Buck KNEW it was bad news if Lucy and Taylor talk, we saw him starting to panic over just the idea of it, yet when it's actually happening right in front of his eyes? Nope, sorry, not leaving Eddie's side is more important. That boy is in so deep, he's practically half way to China... And I just love it so much, it's such a good reminder of who Buck's TRUE partner is. Listen, even if we never get canon Buddie? This is still Buddie's truth, that no one will ever mean to them what they are to each other. Which is why they should be canon honestly, but we know the truth even if 911 never goes there.

So... I actually think the fireman hold is what they're meant to use, making it sort of neutral? It's a bit like saying "hello" to someone. If it's what we're all meant to do, then showing Buck saying it to Eddie, or Eddie to Buck, it's just what's expected, it's not really out of the ordinary in itself. BUT I do think the context in which it’s done changes the meaning and makes it significant for Eddie on a personal level that he used it. Even though it's been literal MONTHS since the last time he actually trained as a firefighter, it's still ingrained in him to carry people using this hold and not another, more instinctive one. It shows exactly what this ep's conclusion is: that Eddie Diaz was BORN to be a firefighter, it's what he's meant to do. God has spoken! ;) BUT I did remember that one of the first asks I ever got in the 911 fandom was about whether Eddie would be able to lift Buck. I said he would, and I am def happy to be proven right here. This is so lovely for all of my Buddie (smutty oriented) lifting headcanons! ;D

i also love rewatching shows. i don't know why, but i can't seem to watch the final ever episode of anything! like if i know a new season is coming out, i'll watch every episode aside from the last one in the latest season! thanks to tudum, i'm currently undecided about whether or not to rewatch shadow and bone, bridgerton or stranger things. it's a big decision! i run an rp blog alongside this one, and i recently started writing a multi, so that's an entire experience that really just enables me to add as many characters as i like. it's fantastic!

i don't know what else to say, it's like when someone says "tell me a little about yourself!" and suddenly you have no idea who you are! but always feel free to ask me stuff; i'm never not happy to see my inbox light go off! i'm just slower than a wet week of sundays when it comes to actually answering them!

BEDTIME SHENANIGANS WITH ATSUMU

❊ ATSUMU feels the side of his cheeks ache as he grins from ear to ear. he's holding up his pillow like a shield as you swing yours with what strength you have left from the long day.

"okay, stop! let's go to bed, please" you protest through your giggles, putting your pillow up in surrender.

but he only shakes his head stubbornly, "'m not tired yet, plus this is fun," he says as he swings his pillow at you again, like a child on his first slumber party.

you can't help but smile at his giddiness, and it didn't help that he looked ridiculously handsome with his hair all tousled from your little pillow fight. but at the same time, you just wanted to lie down with him and snuggle, "ugh fine if you're going to be like that-" you put all your strength into one final blow and your pillow smacks him right on the face.

"hey!" he complains but a stupid little grin still adorns his lips. you just stick your tongue out at him and make your way to the bathroom to start your much-needed night routine. in between moisturizers and toners, you curiously peek outside the room just to see what he's up to while you're gone. you melt as you see him quietly picking up the pillows from the floor and fixing your shared bed.

the night is silent as you make your way out of the bathroom and sit down on the newly tidied bed, taking your time as you leisurely brush your hair. suddenly, you feel him move behind you. he takes your brush and begins to softly stroke your hair.

your eyes flutter close as you lean back into his touch, "comfy?" he asks and you nod. he continues to brush your hair, so gently it's lulling you to sleep.

you're too preoccupied in your little paradise to see the scheming smirk form on his face, and before you notice it's too late. he then not-so-gently pulls your hair—playful yet strong enough for you to fall over your back.

"what the hell tsumu!?" you hiss but he only flops his body down beside you and pulls you into his chest. shushing you by squeezing you comfortably between his strong arms.

"sorry, couldn't help it you were so cute," he whispers as he soothes your head, an act of apology of some sort. you feel his body slowly relax, giving in to tiredness. he almost purrs as he rests his chin on the top of your head.

you bury yourself into his chest, breathing in his scent—fresh and warm, like basking in the afternoon sun surrounded by wood and forests. "shut up," you mumble.

he pulls away, a soft lovesick smile on his lips. he kisses your nose and you pout teasingly. he just can't help himself, he peppers your face with little kisses and you giggle, ticklish under his touch.

he's drunk on you and he hopes you know. with you beside him, he's sure he could spend every single night like this.
