TftW: Fly Away, Trevor.
Harpie Lady TG.
Trevor Johanson aka TheGamingAmateur was a wannabe game critic who seemed to think that autistic people were cringey and that all autistic people were like Chris Chan, he was extremely petty in that regard and nobody found his anti-autism humor to be funny in the slightest, he came across as aggressive hence why nobody watched his show, one evening he caught a comment from Nathan Forester aka Monstermaster13, the comment was from last year yet it was on a 3 year old repost of a video from two years before it, in the comment Nathan admitted he had some traits that were ‘cringey’ and what did this little sniveling weasel say? He responded with…’Dude, you are going full Chris Chan here…never go full Chris Chan, if there’s one thing you shouldn’t do on here, it’s feed your enemies more fuel Let go of your cringe and move on.’
“And who do you think you are to tell me how to do what I do? Look, did you even read my comment?”
‘Uhhhh no…but you should never go full CWC, by continuing to be like this, you are only going to make things worse.’ ‘CWC is not the type to be self-aware, you know, besides, my enemies weren’t very memorable, the original Daloli-verse cast only had one standout villain, all of the others weren’t original in the slightest and didn’t contribute to the story. Yes I admit that I have HAD paranoia issues in the past but only because I didn’t like being brought to attention in a negative way, and also I cringe at my old work and I don’t understand why my old forum thread posts are still up despite being closed ages ago. But that’s just me. I have changed, and you should too.’
“Aren’t you mad though?”
“No…”
‘If you didn’t comment, people would forget you…’ ‘I am sorry but I was the only one commenting on that video, and that video was a repost, so what…nobody ever watched it anyway, so there’s to worry about, every one of my old enemies is gone now and you should release that by now.’ ‘I am sorry.’ ‘Sorry doesn’t cut it, maybe if you understood that harping on me for being autistic and having strange hobbies was a bad idea you wouldn’t have opened your big beak.’
“Beak? But I am not a bird.”
“I see you squawking on and on like one though.”
“Why you little…”
Trevor tried to attack Nathan and tried to think of an insult to use on him…’Liking transformations and liking comedians like Chris Farley and John Candy is not cringy, the only people that don’t like those comedians are people who didn’t have a childhood or don’t know how to appreciate good comedy.’ ‘Your cringy behavior would make CWC laugh at you for being too autistic.’ ‘Well then you leave me no choice then.’
Nathan’s eyes gave off a supernatural glow as he levitated in the air…’If there’s one thing you should know about me, you should know that I have real supernatural powers. Yes I was pretending to be a werejohncandy, but only because I was in the form of Chumsley at the time, I impersonated him to see if everyone would think that I am him and it worked. I mean my enemies did genuinely mistake me for him when I was him.’ ‘So the Werejohncandy wasn’t real?’ ‘Oh he’s real, it’s just the version everyone saw wasn’t him, it was me pretending to be him.’
“I am confused now.”
“As you should be.”
‘But what about the pronouns stuff? You got worked up just because the video misgendered you.’ ‘Yeah, I know…but the person behind the video called me a woman pretending to be a man pretending to be a werewolf pretending to be John Candy. Mariana isn’t real, she is just an actress that the Daloli-verse forced to be in crappy movies and she isn’t part of this universe, and nothing the daloli-verse ever did, and note that I say did because it no longer exists anymore….ever counted as being canon in this universe, but if you’re going to insist on harping on and on about it, fine I will make you able to continue to do so.’
“How?”
Without saying a word, Nathan concentrated his dark supernatural energy and used it as a means to demonstrate his powers, a chill spread down Trevor’s neck as he examined himself, and he gasped in horror when he saw his skin imperfections melting off his skin in a visceral fashion.
He felt what appeared to be invisible needles poking into his arms which stretched out, his chest and torso also slimmed down with a crunching sound as his stomach slimmed, he saw his ratty looking top and jeans contorting into valkyrie style armor and a purple and blue lycra body-suit as yellowish orange scales crept up his hands, his fingernails lengthened and feminized but also became quite sharp. Then he felt a prickling sensation all over his arms which translated into feathers forming all over them and making them look like he was growing wings like those of a bird.
Another crunching noise was heard as his hips inflated and his back arched…’Good lord, this hurts.’ ‘Quit your whining. If you don’t comment on it, you’ll forget about it, remember?’
Nathan was using his own words against him, turning him on it and he was desperate to get out of this and to make up for it, he attempted to make a run for it but he couldn’t, and he tripped onto the ground and as he did…his boots burst open as his feet altered in appearance, contorting to resemble talons like the ones birds have. He gasped as his privates retracted with a slurping sound. There was a stinging sensation as what appeared to be tail-feathers emerged out of his rear.
His shoulders shrank inward as his neckline altered, his hair slowly turning from a dirty blonde color to a red color as it grew longer and longer until it was past his shoulders, his ears stretched out and became pointed, while his skin paled, and took on a bluish tone while his eyebrows thinned and his eyes turned greenish. He looked at himself as he changed and he gasped when his facial features softened and feminized, his lips plumped up and his jawline softened up.
He felt his chest and torso…and two round formations swelled outwards on the top, pushing and forming into what was commonly known as breasts. His voice went up several octaves and altered, going from masculine to feminine, in terms of pitch and tone. When his transformation completed itself, he could no longer be classified as a ‘he’ but rather a ‘she’, she had become a doppelganger of the Harpie Lady herself.
Realizing what she had just done was a mistake, H.L flew over to Nathan and apologized, she hugged him as well. ‘I should have come clear, what I said and did back there I wasn’t in my right mind, or my right personality for that matter. You see when I appeared to you and said those things I was not right in the head, I had a…demon inside me and you helped exorcize him out of me, and that was for the better. And now i’m better because of you and I realize that this is who I am. I respect your pronouns and you in general.’ ‘And I respect yours too, you’re clearly a beautiful woman and I approve of everything you do.’
“That is good, and it is good to know you have figured yourself out.”
“Everyone is strange, I know that now.”
“You shouldn’t be afraid to be yourself.”
‘I am not afraid…not anymore.’ Nathan hugged her and kissed her, and showed her around, introducing her to Mel and her friends, and she stayed with him for a while, as a very close companion.
And thus with that Nathan had gained a new ally in the form of one of his favorite Yu-Gi-Oh monsters and he even got to work with her on missions and tasks much later on, and so it ends here…and that is it for this tale, but don’t forget the moral, remember…don’t harp on things from the past especially if the person in general is aware of how ‘cringey’ their actions supposedly are, and don’t go harping on people who are autistic or have supernatural powers.

it's weird, because either some people reduce bucky to his relationship with steve, or they focus on him so much that they completely miss the point of the falcon and the winter soldier.

Anyways....I finished watching The Falcon and the Winter Soldier!
It was fun; I feel like if somebody asked me what the plot of this show is I wouldn't be able to answer I'd be like, "It's about Sam and Bucky going to couples therapy, fixing up a boat and becoming family, all while Sam struggles with the weight of what it means to take on the mantle and legacy of Captain America as a black man." Which is an acceptable answer, I'm just not sure it's the right one cause there was the whole thing with the Power Broker and the Flag Smashers and stuff but quite frankly I didn't care much about those parts, and to be honest I felt like they were not that well written.
To me the Power Broker and Flag Smashers aspects of this show fall under that becoming increasingly common Marvel issue of "for the sake of enjoyment don't think about it, just take it at face value".
But here I don't mind much cause look, I watched this show for one reason, and one reason only and that was to see Sam and Bucky together, and they delivered on what I wanted; they were such a delight, they have great chemistry I love them as a bromance- I love them as a romance! I am high key shipping them, they already got the domesticity, bickering like an old married couple, worrying about each other, believing in one another, Marvel we all know you don't exactly have the best track record but at least consider it.
All in all, it was an entertaining six episodes.

Guys there is something I want to talk about, it's a scene from "Captain America: The First Avenger".
I clarify beforehand I am not criticizing neither the actress; because she did and said what was in the script she is not to blame; nor the character because although she has her character in the comics she would not do something like that. My criticism goes to the writers and screenwriters, even to the directors who do this kind of scenes.
Remember that scene of Peggy catching Steve making out with a girl, then because she's still upset she shoots him?
Well, Peggy wouldn't do that.
I know, it's a Sharon blog, but come on guys how do you hate one of the people Sharon loves the most and more if they do to her what they did to Peggy.
When Peggy shoots a whole load of bullets at him without knowing if the shield was working, Steve had time to raise the shield or have the bullets ricochet to someone else; just because she found Steve making out with another girl seems over the top to me. I see the scene and the look on Steve's face, Howard Stark's face and everyone in the room is freaked out.Normal, but what's not normal is that Steve would be attracted to that, that anyone in general would be attracted to that.Or that he would still want to have something with someone like that.
Honestly I know maybe they wanted to make Peggy tough or in character, but that's out of control and abusive. I don't blame Peggy's character, nor the actress I repeat. My call of attention is that the writers normalize jealousy to such a degree, it is normal that sometimes people are jealous at times because we are human, but when it is at that level of uncontrolled, visit a specialist because it is not healthy for anyone.
Well, I know it is a universe of heroes and everything is fantasy, but imagine that in real life? It's not very sane; imagine the scene in reverse, a guy does that to a girl he officially has nothing with (and even if he's officially a couple it's unacceptable) it wouldn't be very approving anymore would it?
Why do I bring this up, because it bothers me what they did with Peggy, do you really think Peggy would stoop that low or act like that? Well, no. Maybe Sharon would be bitter and give him a couple of somewhat harsh words; until she finds out it was that they stole a kiss from him, then she would be embarrassed and make fun of him. Peggy on the other hand is an English girl, full of class, sophisticated, rough, but elegant. She will most likely ignore him, give him cold sidelong glances, trying to be as polite as possible and pretend it didn't hurt.
You know, just as they wrote this Peggy scene that has nothing to do with the character.
What they did with Sharon in TFTWS is the same. For those who think Sharon is just a blonde, pretty girl and Steve's love interest; they couldn't be more wrong.
Sharon is not only Agent 13 of SHIELD. She is a warrior and fighter, for a long time she was abandoned behind enemy lines (Steve didn't help her because he thought she was dead) that period she was raped, tortured, starved, cold and was in a tiny cell full of filth. Sharon is a survivor, instead of being filled with hate and destroying SHIELD for revenge she helped Steve save the world, then she saved Steve, she helped save the world again, she joined SHIELD again, Fury chose her as interim director of SHIELD, you know the rest saving the world and Steve's ass a few more times; those things heroes do, because even if it hurts some Sharon is a heroine
Natasha, what they did with natasha in her movie is priceless. Marvel said it was a Black Widow movie, basically I felt they only made the movie to introduce new characters, mind you I'm not against them introducing new characters, nor am I against new characters. the movie is mostly there for us to know where Yelena came from, because she might try to kill Clint and mention Valentina de Fontei. Not to show Natasha's past, the most they could show is that she was stolen from her mother, some of her childhood with Yelena and what they were doing to her in the black widow program (we already knew about the program from the age of ultron) . It would have been better to set that first attempt of Natasha to destroy the black widow program, you can also include the characters of Yelena, Melina, Red Guardian, then at the end it is revealed that it is a lie that she dismantled it because Dreykov. It would have been great if they showed us when he trained with the winter soldier so that "don't you remember me?" line would make more sense, address their relationship whether romantic or emotional by seeking comfort in each other and have them separated because together they are a danger to hydra and Dreykov if they are revealed, that will definitely increase natasha's contempt for both organizations even more. Who didn't want to see the first meeting with Clint and not just be half told, see Natasha wanting to know about her mother, that SHIELD recruitment by Nick Fury, a private funeral with those closest to her. Eye I'm not saying the movie was bad, just that they could have given an origin movie approach to how that growing up process was or what Natasha went through before she became the SHIELD agent of avengers, because the Natasha from civil war we already knew.
for the fans of the characters I name what I say I do it because it is enough that marvel gives an image of the characters that are not, not because I have something negative towards them.
Nat's movie deserved to be treated differently, not like it's necessary to bring out a Nat movie because the original six have one (Clint has a series) and other characters need to be introduced.
Peggy didn't deserve to have them try to show her "character" or "rudeness" in that way as if she has no self control or is a celopath
Sharon did not deserve to be treated as a romantic interest and spiteful villain.
That most of the things that are affected are female characters.
So guys don't let the MCU give you what they want and you accept without protest. Analyze and be demanding so marvel doesn't keep ruining stories.

Aka “Word Salad as Surrogate Substance During Authorship of Annals Relevant to Indulgence in Nonsensical Pseudoscience as Perfunctory Pseudointellectual Fulfilment of Annual Remuneratory Vocational Obligations.”
This is an actual published, and cited, paper. And is therefore regarded, academically at least, as “knowledge.”
https://newdiscourses.com/tftw-autoethnography/
“Autoethnography” refers to a form of research (if we must) in which one’s own reflections upon life, often written in autobiographical form, are treated as authoritative analyses of broader society. More specifically, these self-reflective observations are utilized to do an ethnographic study of the culture in which one finds oneself. The approach has therefore been, for rather good reasons, referred to by its critics as “me-search.”
I hope I don’t have to explain why this “research” isn’t knowledge. It should bother people that this sort of self-indulgent, unevidenced nonsense leaks into the world as citable, insightful knowledge, which can then influence policy and those making it, as much as it bothers us when the unevidenced self-indulgence of “my bible says that my god...” influences policy and those making it.
We need to care about truth: what’s true and how we figured it out.

Don’t use ‘problematic’ to describe human behavior
Do you use it? Why? In my experience, people use “problematic” whenever they want to try and throw dirt at someone who has not actually done or said anything objectively offensive. In 99.9% of cases it means nothing, and should be ignored. If a person actually has done or said anything that violates other people’s rights, it should be possible to describe the offense concretely, without resorting to bullshit words like “problematic”. Provide facts, not feelings. ”In practice, 'problematic' is a word applied to anything that a critical theorist [i.e. self-proclaimed SJW] doesn’t like and wants to complain about.” https://newdiscourses.com/tftw-problematics/

Social Justice is set up for the advancement of identity politics, which requires centering human experience entirely in group identity (and, frankly, stoking grievances within them). This requires it to reject both the biggest and smallest measures of humanity: the universality of human experience and the atomic individualism that defines each of us as we actually are, in favor of something in between: group identity. Universalism and individualism are the two aspects of humanity that liberalism speaks to, and since the critical methods of Social Justice are explicitly anti-liberal, Social Justice rejects these as ideologies by which dominant groups can justify their privilege (thus keep it) and maintain and rationalize their oppression of marginalized and minoritized groups.
Incidentally enough, this is why I also oppose American exceptionalism - i.e. a form of identity politics frequently enforced by (usually right-wing) American “patriots”... which led to Colin Kaepernick being cancelled by the right! I don’t want to be *just* an American! I don’t want non-Americans to see me as *just* an American (and any accompanying stereotypes).
So, quite naturally, I find identity politics of any sort as being both divisive and restricting access to individual determination. We can be cooperative and also be ourselves.

Its actually quite funny how now that he's coleading in a marvel project(tftws), landing a role at a blockbuster to be (355), being part of a really interesting project like the devil all the time, having his first movie as a leading man released in october, with a guaranteed good critic reception because of its topic matter, whaliac being picked up by netflix and starring in 2 indie movies with heavy improv as a lead, people are saying his career is shit and he should sell toys instead
Haha "fans"

Finished watching FatWS and this is the first time I have hope for MCU's future. I'm interested in seeing where they take this world and what they have to say. I'm the same anon who sent the asks about CA:CW and this is what I meant by the potential to talk about real world issues using superheroes (Sam and Isaiah's stories reflecting the black experience in USA, etc). They tried to talk about superhero ethics without condemning Steve or discussing the Accords and Karli's "cause" wasn't well 1/2
Tumblr media
Hi, CACW anon!
There are others in the fandom way more equipped and better spoken than I to go in depth into the subject but I agree that the conversations about and related to superhero ethics and Karli and such weren't well written or executed, and imo this is because while this is a good show it very much straddles (or flipflops however you prefer to look at it) that line between wanting to and addressing certain topics while also remaining palatable to certain members of their audience. So, no tea no shade, I say this as someone who liked the show, it means they do just enough to get praise but not enough to fully push buttons (which I know is saying a lot considering how the racists came out of the woodwork when Sam became Captain America), and that leads to certain aspects of the story like Karli's not being as well written as they could have been, or even not being touched upon like how hell is paved with good intentions ie. an actual conversation about the consequences of the Avengers undoing a world changing event 5 years later.
Nonetheless, still a good series overall.
Hope you like Loki!
