Can I please request a Everyone lives au! (All of the Avengers are alive and well, and the team is still together as a family😅) Bucky x fem!civilian!reader where they first met when he was The Winter Soldier, and again in TFAWS? He miraculously had saved Y/n’s life back when he was the Winter Soldier, something that he had never told anyone about (as Hydra probably would’ve had her killed for seeing the Winter Soldier). It all comes to the surface years later when Bucky, Steve, and Sam are out at a restaurant when they run into Y/n, who is their waitress, and drops their food once she sees who Bucky is (he thinks it’s because she’s afraid, but she’s not, it’s because she recognizes him as the man who saved her life). + she hugs and thanks him? Sam and Steve being proud of him🥺 + Y/n and Buck falling in love?

I feel like it’d be really meaningful and emotional for Bucky to have someone see him as their hero, rather than the villain that he thinks he is (POOR BBY)🥺🥺

The chill of the midnight breeze made Bucky shiver, he shouldn’t be out right now and he knows he doesn’t need to be. It’s a conscious decision. Steve, Sam, and Bucky are veterans and they have no business taking on the graveyard shift but they didn’t care. They didn’t care that the new recruits were younger and would adapt to the bizarre sleep schedule better, they didn’t care that they had to bundle up with an extra layer of clothing before leaving the compound so they wouldn’t get a cold, they didn’t care that now they understood the term: ‘I know tomorrow’s gonna rain, my knees always hurt before it does.’

After they ‘gently convinced’ (as Bucky would say) the person who supposedly knew information about the new mission they were on, the three men found themselves at a 24hr diner at 2am. Hoping to get in their third cup of coffee on the shift.

“I don’t know how much longer I can do this.” Sam groaned, leaning his head on the back of the squeaky red booth.

“I knew I was going to stop at some point, I just didn’t know that the end would come with me having to crack every single bone before fighting.” Steve laughed into his coffee.

Bucky looked up at the flickering fluorescent lights. “I dislocate my shoulder every time, I’m starting to think I should just keep it out of the socket. It’ll give me less trouble that way.”

“When did we get so old?” Bucky said with a groan, putting his face in his hands.

“We should get some food in, wouldn’t want to get acid reflux before a fight.” Sam flagged the waitress down.

Bucky didn’t know what he was expecting, scratch that- he knows exactly what he was expecting and it wasn’t you. He thought his waitress would be an older woman, she would smell of stale coffee and fryer oil. But suddenly you were here, with him, and everything started moving in slow motion.

At first you didn’t recognize him, it had been years since you’d last saw him. And even that time you first met, you didn’t get to truly see him. You were too afraid to even peek through your hand covered eyes. You balanced the tray of food, meant for the person a few tables behind them, with one hand while the other one rummaged through the pocket at the front of your apron for a pen.

You finally found it and clicked the top.

“What will you guys be-“ Your mouth suddenly turned dry as you met his crystal eyes. In a matter of milliseconds your world shifted. Like one second you were working the late night shift your obnoxious boss had forced you into doing and the next your back in time. Exactly eight years ago, the night your life changed.

Everyone around you worried, your first-time leaving home and you chose a big city. “You know they have pickpockets there, right?” someone had told you, trying to convince you not to go. But you’d roll your eyes and say: “I’m more scared of the guys around here who drink and drive than a couple of pickpockets.”

You were surprisingly autonomous for a person who had never been apart from- well- anyone you knew. All of your family, friends and safety net now resided a couple of thousands of miles away.

But there was something about that day eight years ago, the first day where everything went wrong. Maybe it was your brains way of giving you some sort of bad omen. You had stayed out a little too late that day and missed your train, now you had to take the bus. But the only route available took you to an unknown part of town. From there you would have to walk some 40 odd minutes to get back home.

Your boots clicking on the hard cobblestone was the only thing to be heard, the light of the moon the only thing that was shining. A strange feeling took over your being as you looked around the foreign place. And just to make things worse, it started raining.

As you started feeling the droplets becoming more aggressive you decided to wait the storm out in what looked like an old hotel. But as you pushed the door open, you realized it was abandoned on the inside. You stayed close to the door and took in your surroundings.

There was an old wooden door to your left, it was slightly open so you peered inside. It creaked as you opened it and your heart sank as you saw what was inside. A man tied to a chair, his cheekbone was cut and bleeding, a knife was sticking out from his upper thigh. You gasped as you came closer.

“Help me.” The man groaned but before you could do anything, something came out of the shadows.

Half of his face was covered and his hair was long, but your eyes were glued to his. His dark cerulean eyes were lit by the moonlight coming in from the skylight.

He marched towards you until you were backed up against the wall. You’d heard about him before. The Winter Soldier, but you thought he was a character made up by mothers across the world so their children would do as they said. A sort of Boogeyman.

Your life flashed before your eyes as you saw his metal hand come up to your throat. You closed your eyes tightly and waited for the light at the end of the tunnel, but it never came. You opened one eye and saw the shining red star at his shoulder slightly shake, the only indication that he was there because when you saw his face it was blank. The dark hue in his eyes you saw a second earlier had disappeared. In its place was a light crystal blue shine. His silver hand was still around your neck but he didn’t apply any pressure.

“Who are you?” He muttered through gritted teeth. The lines in his forehead a clear indication that he was battling with himself.

“I’m nobody.” You squeaked, your eyes never leaving his.

He opened his mouth to say something but turned his head to the side, listening for something. “You have to leave.”

“What?” You gasped.

He took your hand in his right one and lead you to the window in the room. He smashed the glass, making sure there was no sharp edge as he picked you up to sit on the windowsill.

“What are you doing?” You asked quietly, not sure how you even got one word out. You finally heard some voices coming closer to the room you were in.

“Leave!” he ordered looking from you to the door. “They’ll kill you if you don’t!”

You jumped out into the rain and looked back at him.

“Run!” he yelled before taking a knife and stabbing it into his right arm. He groaned in pain.

“What’s going on down here, Soldat?” You heard someone ask.

“Someone came in, wanting to take the prisoner out. I took care of them.” The Winter Soldier said.

Your fight or flight finally kicked in and you ran, you ran until your legs gave out and you were far away from him.

He recognized you too, you saw it flash in his eyes. You took a step back in shock and bumped into the table behind them, dropping the contents of your tray on the floor. You gasped.

“I-I’ll-“ You stuttered. “I’ll bring over a mop.”

You rushed back to the kitchen, taking the cleaning supplies from the closet and passing them over to your coworker, Frank.

“What’s this about?” He rolled his eyes.

“I’ve covered for you hundreds of times.” You spat out. “Clean up the mess at table 17 and call it even.”

Before he could even answer you rushed out the back door, desperately needing fresh air. Your breaths were shallow and no amount of air could relieve the pressure you felt in your chest. You ripped the apron off and threw it on the ground, pacing back and forth.

You heard the back door creak open. “I don’t need your shit right now, Frank!”

But you could recognize the sound of those boots anywhere. You lifted your head and saw the Winter Soldier walking towards you. Your breath got caught in your throat. He picked up your apron up and brought it closer to you.

“We’ve met before.” He gulped. “When I was someone I no longer am.”

His voice had a strange quality to it, like he was unsure as to what to say. Your eyes widened at his tone.

You wanted to find a way to say what you felt but how can you put into words: ‘Thank you for saving my life eight years ago and not killing me even though you were programmed to kill anything in your way back then.’

Maybe you could find a Hallmark card?

He looked down at the floor with shame as you didn’t answer, almost embarrassed.

But before you knew it, you were wrapping your arms over his shoulders and pulling him in for a hug. Now it was his turn to widen his eyes.

You let go after a few seconds. “I’m sorry about that. The hug, I don’t know if you’re a hugger.”

His mouth opened slightly and his cheeks had a pinkish hue to them.

“Thank you.” You whispered.

His eyebrows furrowed. “Did you- did you just say thank you? You’re not afraid?”

“Afraid?” You asked. “You saved me that night. You fought all your instincts and saved me, even when it would have been easier to just get rid of me. I don’t know how I can repay you.”

“I- I don’t understand. I don’t know what to say.” Bucky was shocked, he thought you were scared of him. He couldn’t imagine what it would be like to be on the other side of the Winter Soldier. A young woman being almost choked to death by a machine. But here he was, being thanked by you.

You shook your head. “Don’t say anything, just listen. Thank you, you saved my life.”

A rare, small smile tugged at his lips. Those words changed him. Six silly words that came out of your mouth like sweet honey seeped into his fractured heart. He felt something, for the first time in decades.

Bucky cleared his throat. “I’ll leave you to it.”

You smiled at him, brushing back your hair.

When you returned to the table much more composed, you finally asked for their order. One cheese and spinach omelet for the Falcon, one BLT for Captain America and just a black coffee for the Winter Soldier. Was this real life?

They asked for the check a while later, surprised when you said it was on the house.

“If I’d known you guys give food for free, I would have come by sooner.” Sam laughed.

“It’s not every day you get to see the man who saved your life.” You said with a smile.

Both men turned to look at a now blushing Bucky.

“Please, it was nothing.” He said shyly, not looking up.

You nodded your head, a feeling of pride filling your body. This man who has only felt feared deserves to be awarded for his good. “He saved my life eight years ago when I wandered into a place I was definitely not supposed to be in.”

A smile appeared on Steve’s face as he patted his best friend on the back. “I’m proud of you Buck.”

The shift happened immediately after that day. Suddenly Bucky started to push Steve and Sam to take the graveyard shift with him more often, and when they stopped going he decided to go by himself.

“My head feels clearer at night.” Was Bucky’s excuse once.

But everyone could see the Sergeant’s true intentions. He had quite literally fallen in love with you, he’d slipped on the linoleum floors one night after missing the caution cone you’d put out, but Bucky couldn’t for the life of him figure out a way to ask you out. And today was no exception.

“Can I get you anything else?” You asked as you placed his regular order in front of him.

His lips were sealed tight and he shook his head furiously.

You smiled. “I’ll be around if you need me.”

You’d become quite confused, he had flirted with you a couple of times now. Cute compliments would flow out of his mouth constantly, he’d even called you beautiful once as a pet name. But maybe you had mistaken his kind words for something other than what they were.

“I’ll leave this here, whenever you’re ready.” You placed the receipt in front of him after he’d been in the diner with only his coffee for around 30 minutes.

You didn’t expect him to grab your hand, and you certainly didn’t expect the sparks that shot.

“I will not be paying this.” He said, his eyes on yours.

You furrowed your eyebrows. “If you want I can get my manager.”

“I will not be paying this.” He repeated. “Until you accept my date offer.”

You went from confused to truly shocked, and he noticed because he immediately backtracked. He slapped the palm of his hand to his forehead, mumbling under his breath.

“I am so sorry, I don’t know why I just said that. I sounded like a total creep. You obviously don’t want to go on a date with an old man like me it- it’s just I think you are beautiful but more than that you are kind and I would love- if you gave me the chance to, maybe I’m not used to this modern way of courting but I think that-“

You placed your hand over his babbling mouth. “Of course I’ll go on a date with you.”

Bucky let out a sigh he didn’t know he was holding.

“Thank god.” His muffled voice said.

PoliZ's WIP Update - 4 Oct 2023

A roughly average week thanks to Fic/Flufftober inspiration (and last-minute Sam Wilson Bingo fills!) I touched 5 fics (2 WIPs & 3 new works) for a total of 2339 words.

I have 19 semi-active WIPs 😬 with my current deadlines being the Sam Wilson Bingo that wraps on Oct 15, the Halloween Horror Bingo and the the Fictober/Flufftober/Whumptober prompt challenges that all wrap at the end of the month.

See below cut for what I’m working on/planning to work on - arranged more or less by bingos/challenges/etc. As always, feel free to send me prompts or plot bunnies as well as asks regarding any of these projects or any other WIPs I’ve got out there. Interaction really helps feed the Muse and keep me motivated!

Seek & Destroy Collab

After reading @psychiccatpanda‘s amazing Morguna and the Green Queen, I got the itch to explore the Soldier’s POV and talked Faustie into collab’ing with me! We’re working on a new part of the series, and I’ve contributed about 900 words towards the 2500-ish we have so far. Going to see if I can squeeze any of my BBB squares into this fic.

All Caps Bingo [ACB_R1] (Ends 30 Sep)

29 squares filled, thanks to the adoptables and Monthly Missions, so I made my blackout and then some! I sent in my badge claims and made my masterpost.

* Sept Adoptable: Dominant Omega - Posted the final chapter of Finding Something Fresh last Friday. Omega!Dom!Steve and beta!sub!Bucky complete their scene; it came in at 919 words.

Sam Wilson Bingo [SWB_R3] (Ends 15 Oct 2023)

I have seven fills and two WIPs - targeting a bingo and perhaps one more fill before the bingo wraps up. Might try to crossfill with the Captain Bottom bingo?

* B4 - Natasha Romanoff - Maybe add on to my Card Sharks drabble, where SamNat & Steve conspire to create a polycule with Bucky? this idea crosses over nicely with my BBB KINK: Seduction mission square

* G2 - Teacher/Teacher AU - Wrote up a No Powers AU FalconHawk meet (mostly) cute ficlet as a crossover with Fictober Day 9. Lessons Learned is coming in at 409 words and will post on Monday.

* G3 - Joaquin Torres - posted A Falcon Turned Phoenix yesterday as a crossfill with Day 3 of Fictober. It’s an expansion of A Rising Star and came in at 600 words even.

* G4 - Adopting a Pet - working on a moodboard for this where Joaquin brings a stray cat home and Sam and Bucky (pretend to) disapprove. Shout out to @hannahshattuck for the assist on the Joaquin pics!

* G5 - Wilson Family Dynamics - filled this with As Night Falls, a TFaWS canon-compliant Sam & Bucky ficlet set in Delacroix. It came in at 368 words and will post to Ao3 before the bingo ends.

Halloween Horror Bingo - [HHB_23] (Ends 31 Oct 2023)

Just signed up for this event, hosted by @halloweenhorrorbingo. After picking three horror films, you get a 3x3 card (with 3 alternates) with prompts based on those films.

* B1 - Dealing with Extreme Cold - seems like a good match with my BBB Cold and or SVB Last Resort square along with Whumptober: Thermometer & Fictober "It's not too late, let's go."

* ALT1 - There’s something under the bed - Working on A Hairy Situation - WinterHawk Werewolf AU that’s up to 1140 words so far and may cross over with my BBB Accidental Villainy or "This might as well happen" square. Targeting to post on Friday the 13th. 😁

* Fictober Day 9: "I wouldn't do that if I were you." See SWB Teacher/Teacher AU.

* Fictober Day 12: "I'm not saying I didn't like it." Contemplating a crossover with my TSB Pairing: Tony/Thor as a continuation of/sequel to Caught By the Rain and Blinded by the Lightning

* Fictober Day 24: [melting emoji] - combine with TSB "Get back in bed!" Tony has a fever and won’t listen to his partner. Maybe throw in a little Whumptober too?

* Fictober Day 27: "I don't know if they will accept this." - This could be a fun combo with TSB T2 - KINK: Cock-blocking 'bots.

WinterIron Bingo - [WIB_R1] (Ends 16 Dec 2023)

I have sixteen fills completed and two WIPs for this brand-new bingo event that I’m helping mod! Along with crossfilling against my other bingos, I’m going to try to combine my B column squares for the Iron Soldier badge (complete a bingo with a single work). – Alpha Tony Stark, “That was not my intention.”, James Rhodes, Alpine loves Tony and Blind date. (Tony POV remix of A Sugar Coated Pill?)

* N1 - Bucharest – I think I can fold this into a future chapter of My Love is Vengeance - where a young!Tony and a recovering!Bucky have been kidnapped by Hydra, who still thinks Bucky is the Soldier.

* G2 - Eye contact during sex - This will come into play in Chapter 6 of A Sugar-Coated Pill, where Bucky figures out what making love really means, with Tony’s help. It’s crossing over with BBB KINK: Gentle Sex and is up to 503 words.

* G4 - AU: College Students – looking to expand Beaten to the Punch with some backstory on Bucky and Tony as science camp counselors to fit with this square - will also cross over with my WFB Volunteering Together square.

* O5 - Gentle – use this poem as inspiration?

Stucky’Verse Bingo Round 1 - [SVB_R1] (Ends 22 Dec)

Eleven fills, two WIPs and a couple of ideas.

* A1 - Harem - crossover with CABB Secret/Forbidden Relationship - Bucky and shrimpy!Steve are both concubines - they love each other more than their lord. I poked at this a little last week and have 71 words.

* A4 - Fairy Tale Curse - this seems custom-made for a continuation of Beyond the Beast😁 Nothing written yet, other than some Vague Ideas.

* C3 - FREE - Need to find a good match for Chapter 2 of Half of the Flesh and Blood That Makes Me Whole - a Bucky POV remix of at least the first part of Take What Was Wrong (And Make it Right), which is current sitting at 52 words. I’m expecting at least one more chapter, possibly two, depending on how far I want to take the remix.

* C5 - Last Resort - see HHB Dealing with Extreme Cold

Bucky Barnes Bingo - [BBB_R5] (Ends 10 Jan 2024)

I’ve got eleven fills, four WIPs, and a couple more Vague ideas.

* U3 - Fireplace - Working on a 1980′s No Powers WinterIron fic set at a ski lodge where Tony’s being wooed by poetry and love letters that Bucky wrote to someone else. Started poking at this as a crossover with a Love Letters prompt and it’s sitting at 129 words.

* C2 - Yelena Belova– The plan is to use this prompt in the next chapter of Peresmešnik, (aka Three Avengers and a Baby), which is currently sitting at 1303 words (600-ish of which are mine).

* C5 - Marriage of Convenience/Pretend Couple - next chapter of Lady Natasha’s Consort and Lord Steve’s Companion. Got a spark of an idea the other day that might get me a bit further on this fic.

* K3 - Magic - Aro!Bucky healing with a kiss idea?

* Y1 - Gentle Sex – In-progress Chapter 6 of Sugar-Coated Pill- see WIB Eye Contact During Sex.

* Y3 - Alpine - see WIB Iron Soldier combo.

* Y4 - Forgotten Things - using this for Chapter 4 of You Can’t Stop It With a Gun - it’s sitting at 116 words at the moment.

* May Adopted - Insomnia - finally got this filled with The Dead of Night, which also filled a Flash Fiction Friday prompt [#FFF211 An Old Friend] along with my JBB FREE square. It came in at 317 words and will post to Ao3 before this event ends.

* August Adopted: Take the Shot - sounds like a WinterHawk fic to me… maybe cross over with JBB Touch-starved? Whumptober/Fictober possibilities as well.

It was known everywhere that Bucky Barnes just stared, a resting bitch face one might say.

Clint made it his personal mission to get a smile on that handsome face of the man he cuddled up to in bed at night.

The archer crawled through the vents above the gym where the super soldier was currently working out.

As Clint put his hand down to crawl forward, the bottom of the vent gave way causing the blond to fall, luckily, onto the the padded sparring mat.

The event of seeing his lover fall from the vents caused Bucky to double over in laughter, a smile stretching from ear to ear.

“There it is, there’s that smile!”

I named the dysfunctional Spankoffski family au (it’s now ‘time fixes all wounds / the TFAW au)! Have a couple more sketches!

I imagine Time!Ted is called Teddy solely from Normal!Ted panic using the name. How do you explain to normal!normal guy Paul Matthews that you have a time traveler in your house.

I imagine Tinky is fully aware of this timeline, and has told all the other lords in black not to touch it. Its his!!! It’s like when an angst fanfic writer suddenly writes the sappiest fluff ever and gives no context to anyone. Still actively causing the horrors to every other Ted, then goes to this timeline and watches it kicking his feet back and forth giddily.

Summary: You get shot on a mission when fighting John Walker, things go south quickly and Bucky doesn't know what to do.

This fight wasn’t calculated to be this hard. Three people against one, that should have been easy. Right?

Wrong. The man before you wasn’t John Walker anymore.

Your heartbeat was throbbing in your ears and your body felt like it was bruised everywhere from fighting.

The newly announced ‘Captain America’ got his hands on the last super soldier serum. Which you hadn’t known until you saw the more aggressive, blood-thirsty man.

The strength of your own had been overpowered by the just turned super soldier. His cells were regenerating and evolving to something completely deadly. Before you could grab the gun that fell out of Bucky’s holster from the punch John delivered on him. It was gone in a second which was followed by a gunshot echoing through the building. Panic seeped in through every nerve of your body.

Looking around you with a panicked blur you saw the faces of horror on your two teammates. Drip, drip, drip. Blood pooled onto your boots from your stomach. The pain registering to your brain now, falling to your knees, one hand to the ground to lessen the damage of the fall to the ground.

Bucky Barnes was your boyfriend, now carrying the look of something he wished you never ever had to see. Look of anger, rage. Boiling hot rage. Coordinated punches were left on John Walker. Bucky’s body felt like it was on fire, rational thoughts, rules. Oh those stupid rules.. long forgotten. It wasn’t until he heard your wheeze in his ear that he stopped and looked back at an unconscious man. Your other team partner Sam Wilson, had already put pressure on the wound and Bucky stalked on over to you. His eyes prickled with tears, his lip trembling just slightly. You would’ve missed it just then if you didn’t focus on the details of his face. You needed to stay awake for the sake of him. Silent pleas left his lips, barely above a whisper.

Ambulance sirens could be heard in the distance, losing consciousness rapidly, blinks becoming harder and harder as if you were put under a sedative. Bucky’s hand clinging onto yours while two of his fingers remained on your wrist, he needed to feel your pulse but it was slowly fading. Like the silence after a storm. Only a couple trees rustling.

Medics had put you in the ambulance, your boyfriend’s clothes stained by a dark red, still clinging onto your hand, his figure looked as small as it has ever been while his body shook from the bumps on the road to the hospital.

A tightness, feeling of doom present in his chest. ‘This is not real’ a recurring thought in his head. The feeling recreated the perfect example of his nightmares. So how could this one be the reality? How could he have been so reckless, careless? This must be his karma, must be his payback for all he did and he has dragged you into it.

Reaching the nearby hospital, your body looked limb. Bucky’s gut twisted. No, what if this is his intuition? Instead of some dumb gut feeling. What if he knows you won’t make it? What if you- “You must wait outside sir, they’re reaching the operation room now.’’ One of the nurses stated. And then the doors closed right in front of him.

Sam arrived a few moments later, bags in hand with clean shirts and with anything you might need later. His positive outlook had helped him remain hopeful, you were strong enough to make it.

He had to drag Bucky away from the scene. Sam and you weren’t all that close but you quickly bonded over teasing your boyfriend, who swore he’d have payback but all of that turned to dust with a simple kiss on your lips.

He is and was completely smitten for you. He’d be handled with care and soft touches after he was freed from HYDRA. Tough love quickly became a heart consuming type of love, one with sweet gestures and butterflies on any occasion possible. All of that from you. It could never be replaced.

Sam was previously pointed to a waiting room before he went to search for your boyfriend. So that’s where they were now. Sam’s leg is slightly bouncing. Bucky is fiddling with his hands, staring in front of him.

A doctor came in. Finally they both thought. ‘’John Walker’s parents?’’ She called out. Oh. His parents stood up and walked out to wherever Walker was.

Somewhere. Deep down. Bucky was relieved his hands didn’t kill another person. Now he had hoped he wouldn’t be the cause of your death, it was his gun after all.

Then hours passed, people had walked in and out and Sam attempted to get Bucky to eat and drink at least something.

Then another doctor walked in, they had one of those sad faces. Did that equal sad news? ‘’Sergeant Barnes.’’ they called out, causing Bucky to rise up a little too fast, blood rushing to his head.

‘’Bucky.. it’s uh Bucky Barnes.’’ he stated. Fuck. This is going to be bad

‘’My apologies Mr. Barnes, you are noted as the emergency contact of your girlfriend, am i correct?’’ They asked.

‘’Yes i am.’’ He answered, unsure of where this was going.

The doctor nodded, causing Bucky to grow impatient. Seriously?? wrap it up tough guy. Bucky thought while the doctor scribbled some things down and before they could take their third step to leave, Bucky grabbed their arm out of reflex. Sam quickly stepped up to stop whatever was about to happen next.

‘’Mr. Barnes and Mr. Wilson? She’s regaining consciousness. Room 107.’’ A nurse called out to them, Bucky was gone before she could even blink. Sam said a quick thank you and talked out some details with the nurse, maybe a hint of flirting. Maybe

You waited and looked at the door, serenity washing over you due to the medicine you’ve been given.

Then there he was, the man you loved. Hair disheveled. Eyes burdened and expression full of guilt.

‘’Oh baby.’’ You called out to him as his eyes turned a brighter blue, vision blurred due to his tears. He sat down on the chair next to you and before he could apologize you shushed him. His face was almost offended. ‘’’Before you start. No it was not your fault. No, I'm not scared of you.’’ You said while wiping the tears off of his face. Thoughts protesting and talking down on him.

A couple pecks and kisses later, Sam walked in with a smug smile. ‘’Please tell me you left that nurse alone.’’ You said dramatically. “I'm just glad to have you back.’’ He responded as if he didn’t just get that nurse's number. You three chatted for a while. Adrenaline and fear dissipating.

During a movie you decided to watch, sleep creeped on all of you. Sam passed out on the chair Bucky previously sat on and your best man has been laying on the bed on your side ever since the movie started.

Bucky looked up at you with tired eyes while the end credits rolled on screen. ‘’Go to sleep handsome.’’ You called out to him in a whisper, which he just hummed to.

Looking out the window you saw the moon was out and stars looked like they shined a little brighter. ‘’The moon is beautiful, isn’t it?’’ You quoted. Which the man besides you answered with; ‘’Indeed it is doll.’’ He quickly drifted off to sleep with you after that.
