still a good, caring guy like we know he is, but also definitely embracing all of his abilities in a sort of “hydra gave me the serum and this combate knowledge and these abilities to make me a monster now watch me use it on them” way.

like sorta “i know a crazy when i see one ‘cause i am crazy” insane. maniacal laugh. sarcastic little shit. insufferable. mad hatter type yk? MAD HATTER TYPE OF CRAZY. MAD. do you see the vision? and i want him dressed like this:

mmm my opinion on tfatws…mixed bag and i dont think ive ever put it into coherent words outside of random messages with too many exclamation points.

things i liked:

so much opportunity for fic!!!!!

zemo

john walker

bucky suffering

hydra trash parties are canon now!!!!

things i did not like:

they tried to tackle a lot of social issues and flopped on them all

character assassination for literally everyone - sam? where’s his understanding of people? rude comments about bucky, his terrible approach after lemar died, cmon he is so much better than this!! i know he is!!! bucky? aaaaaaaa dont get me started. >:( john? they seriously shorted his character and backstory here, there is so much to explore and they just went all one dimensional villain even though thats not how he is, and the material is there in the show!! they just couldnt handle making him both sympathetic and give up the shield apparently. must get off my john walker soapbox sharon? she deserves to be more evil. zemo? well he’s perfect .to me. more screentime.

am i clowning or saying "the complete first season" implies the existence of more seasons? especially comparing it to the other collector editions they've released?

loki, which has a second season, used the same text. wandavision simply said "the complete series".

i know it wouldn't make much sense especially with their individual films coming out (and the fact the falcon is no more, although neither was the winter soldier in season one) but can one hope or is that too silly? 🤡

It really is kinda funny to me how winterbones shippers really took seven nanoseconds of content, plus a bunch of insane (affectionate) theories and potentially unintentional easter eggs and developed like. A whole dynamic from it. Like, of course, we see one two-second shot of Brock looking kind of worried when the Winter Soldier isn't functioning properly, of course Brock calls Bucky "babe" and has a weird boot fetish. Because that's the logical conclusion.

i don't know whether im the only one who got so touched during that scene in tfatws, when sam said "it doesn't matter what steve thought" to bucky, because that scene, oh my god, that scene meant a lot to me and made me feel so proud of his character. just him telling bucky that he shouldn't worry about what steve or others would think of him and that it's okay to slowly move forward even after "the winter soldier" happened. he knew bucky had been steve's bestfriend for the longest time, being the ride or die person to him, and living under his shadow when he was being captain america. but when he saw bucky still keeping steve's notebook, indicating that he still struggled to move on, he had to lay some tough love on him and remind him like 'this is it, buck. you're allowed to make your own choice now. the past and the future isn't going to define you' 🥺 ughhbahsh i love sam so much.
