♡ Pairing: tfatws!Bucky Barnes x Fem!Reader

♡ Summary: Bucky arrives home and panics when he notices you calling for him from your room, but upon entering— he realizes what you have been getting yourself into.

A/N: i have been adding to my own squish mallow collection and thought of this 🥰 i’m unhealthily obsessed with squish mallows

Arriving back at your shared apartment, Bucky couldn’t help but notice the amount of time xtra large bags on the kitchen counter. He furrowed his brows in confusion and wandered to the fridge. Opening it in inspection, he didn’t see anything new or added.

You hadn’t gone grocery shopping…

He could hear faint shuffling from your shared room, and he couldn’t help but panic. His mind was brilliant at creating a problem from nothing. He was a professional over thinker— and sometimes it threatened to make his heart give out.

“Baby? I’m home!” He announced, shimmying off his jacket and making his way to the bedroom.

“James! Come quick— you gotta see something!” You said urgently.

He automatically thought the worst and all his suspicions were suddenly coming through. Visions of you hurt came to mind and he practically sprinted and busted through the door. The knob slamming into the wall with a loud thud.

“(Y/n)? You okay?!” He asked panicked.

His body relaxed at your calm state, only the look of confusion on your face. With a quick scan— he noticed there was nothing wrong with the room or you. In fact, if anything was different— it were the many new plushies on the bed.

Releasing a breath that he didn’t know he was holding in, and ran a hand through his hair.

“James honey— you alright? Just wanted to show you my new squishmallows.” You asked him worried, walking over to stand next to him.

Truthfully, if anything he was embarrassed that he’d let himself get in his head again. But after finding you perfectly fine, and organizing your plushies— which he found adorable— he felt fine. He was only happy that you were okay.

“M’fine baby, just thought you were in trouble is all.” He told you honestly.

You softened your gaze to him, grabbing his hand and hiding him to the bed. You gently pushed him down to sit, and he did so willingly.

“I didn’t mean to sound all panicky— was just excited to show you the new ones I got today!” You told him, smiling like the cheshire cat.

He chuckled, leaning back on his hands as he looked down at the medium sized squishmallows.

“You know— this is considered an addiction.” He pointed out.

You scoffed, waving him off like it was no big deal.

“Some consider it a hobby actually.” You defended.

He raised his brows in amusement, chuckling again when he saw you being so defensive. He thought you were adorable.

“You’re so cute.” He said out loud, causing your face to grow hot.

After all this time— he was still easily able to make you blush, flustered from his compliments.

You shook off the flush in your face, choosing to pick up a new squishmallow to show him. You held up a medium sized seal squishmallow, to which Bucky smiled at.

“This is a seal one, his name is Remmy.” You told him.

Bucky grabbed it from your hands, giving it a test hug and holding it while you grabbed another one. Next was a longhorn squishmallow, with a ring dangling from its nose.

“This is a bull one, his name is Shep.” You told him, giving it a hug and then passing it to Bucky.

You held back a giggle, Bucky holding the plushies to his chest an adorable sight. Such a tough man with these cute stuffed animals.

“I like his horns.” He noted, fiddling with the plushie.

You picked up the last one, being a bird squishmallow. You smiled wide as you looked at it, this one being your favorite.

“This is my favorite of the three. I think he’s a hawk or something, and his name is Sam.” You explained.

Bucky’s eyes went wide and he started laughing, dropping the other plushies on the bed, he reached out and grabbed the hawk and inspected it.

“Sam, really?” He asked chuckling.

You nodded your head with a sly smile.

“Does our Sam know about this?” He asked again.

“Definitely not— but I’m sure he’d appreciate it.” You told him.

You two laughed at the goofiness and you ended up being pulled by Bucky into the bed. He wrapped you up in his arms and the two of you started cuddling— just melting into each others embrace. The squishmallows surrounded you two while you both drifted off to sleep.

Nothing felt more perfect, nothing felt more right than being in his arms.

“Love you baby.” He whispered, kissing the top of your head.

“Love you more James.” You mumbled into his chest.

Teaser: The new neighbor next door turns out to be your fated alpha. You are already in love with him ever since you caught his scent, but things were not as beautiful as the fairytale portrayed it to be when your fated alpha decided he doesn't want you (i.e. was already spoken for by someone else)

Review: A little bit of 🥀 , a good amount of feels though. I love that the reader is quite feisty; she was sad but like a angry-sad type rather than moping around drowning in self-pity. It's a oneshot, so there's not much of dragging amount of time between the unrequited feelings to transform into mutual feelings. Decently straight forward pace. And of course, it was spicy and sweet just how I like it to be!

The Mating Program by @multi-stann

Type: oneshot, completed – 🥀 ⛓ 🐇

Teaser: Omega!Reader joined a program where they set up couples to live with each other for a certain amount of time. It was the reader's first time to the program and Alpha!Bucky's fourth time. Bucky wasn't a mean alpha, he was just cold and distant. It makes the omegas feels neglected. He push people away. Including the reader.

Review: Long-ass oneshot, so it was enough to lay out the one-sided pining, to unknowingly mutual pining. I love that Bucky was not rude or mean type of grumpy, he's just distant and don't seem interested. He was nice enough to have small talk here and there, and will try to cater the reader with her needs. Bucky doesn't hate your company in the house, and that's telling you something. Another good read for quick minute!

Heart & Soul by @all1e23

Type: series, completed – 🥀 ⛓ 🐇

Teaser: Alpha!Bucky is cop while Omega!Reader is a traumatized omega that developed fear/paranonia towards alphas. It took Bucky a single whiff of her scent in crowd to convice him that she was his, and he was hers. But knowing her unkind past, Bucky made it his mission to court her respectfully, just like she deserved.

Review: I adore this series, I love me some soft alpha, and I mean soft as in he takes care of her so well! Approach her with genuine interest and care! She was hesitant at first, but with the way Bucky was treating her, she couldn't help but to let him in. Really really love this series. This Alpha!Bucky makes me feel soft and safe for some reason.

It's Been a Long, Long Time by @luminnara

Type: series, completed – 🥀 ⛓ 🐇

Teaser: An OC omega injected with the super serum just to cater the needs of Alpha!Winter Soldier. If he's in the cryo, then she'll be in hers too. But when the soldat gained his freedom, he seemed to forgot that his omega was still frozen within the abandoned Hydra facilities. Until one day, she was found.

Review: Another favourite of mine! This time with an original character! Love me some fic where the fl had history with Winter Soldier and not to mention a good relationship as well. The soldat was never mean or forceful, a bit rough sometimes but somehow careful, it's like his inner alpha somehow has his own conciousness? Chanting things like "don't hurt her, take care of omega, protect omega." So he always treats his omega with care and dare I say, with love. I adore every moment of them back in Hydra days. And that scene when she ran out the facility to see the night sky for the first time in a long time. God, something about Alpha!Winter Soldier in that scene! Kinda dark but soft too?! I love that, really! The reunion after years of being apart was heartwarming honestly. And everything after that is just as beautiful.

Alpha!Bucky Drabble by @angrythingstarlight

Type: Drabble, completed – 🥀 🐇

Teaser: After losing his arm fighting to protect his clan, Alpha!Bucky thought he is forever defected and will never be find the other half of his soul, until he met you.

Review: This was just a drabble written for an ask but MY GOD i wish we had a mini series for this! This was not enough, i'm greedy for this because who doesn't Iove some insecure bucky and loving reader. One of the best authors in here!

Meadows and Pine by @bunnygirlwriter876

Type: series, completed – 🐇 ⛓ 🥀

Teaser: Bucky is one of the most successful man in the city. He is a powerful alpha and a rich CEO of his company. But, he doesn't seem to feel whole with his life especially when he will soon be married to his fiance that doesn't love him. Catching a particular scent in his company one day, was the catalyst for his life to finally feeling complete.

Review: This was one of the firsts Alpha!Bucky I've read in this platform and I was hooked immediately. Classics of obvious mutual pining yet there was still back and forth between the couple. I don't what it is but the predatory POV of Bucky when he's around the reader is just sending me both to heaven and hell, honestly. Good pace, good conflict and resolvents. Solid fic, and I love everything about this.

Burning Rose by @kaunis-sielu

Type: series, completed – 🥀 ⛓ 🐇

Teaser: Call it coincidence or fate, but who would've thought that Bucky would find his omega when he walked into that random flower shop. A love story between an Alpha!Firefighter and Omega!Florist with a grey past she wanted to leave behind.

Review: This was also one of the firsts I read in this platform. I don't know what it is about this Bucky, but he gave me comforting vibes. Something about him just makes me feel as if I'm being cuddled in the middle of rainstorm outside. Very dramatic, I know. But that's just how I feel overall when I read this fic. The conflict was unexpected actually, at least for me it was. It was a good read overall!

The Salon Girl by @bunnygirlwriter876

Type: series, ongoing – 🖤 🐇 ⛓

Teaser: Bucky is an Alpha has been through unimaginable trauma. And after being free from the captivity of Hydra, it would be logical to think that Bucky is free from the darker version of himself. But that doesn't seem to be the case when his courting behaviour towards a certain omega seems to be laced with a slightly ominous tendecy.

Review: This awakens something in me, I'm not even kidding. I usually avoid dark fics but this was the catalyst of all my interest to dark fic. Maybe because it was a soft dark but yeah. Congratulations dear author, you unlock the pandora box in me, lmao. Bucky is basically a stalker with a goal to making the reader "realizes" that she is "his omega". He is charming during the days when they converse and questionable during the nights when he watched her through the windows of her home. Though it is still ongoing, I'm cheering for the author for the upcoming chapters!

Teaser: Being deprived from life itself, Bucky dreamed to regain it back by settling down with a mate. With it being the 21st century, there's no doubt that the old ways of finding a mate are long forgotten. As suggested by his therapist, Bucky joined a bio-tech incorporated mate matching program called Swan Program in hopes of finding his other half. On the flip side, the reader was thinking of doing the same thing.

Review: It's the longing, the yearning, the "so close yet so far" feels is immaculate, like you have no idea how much I love this series. Such an interesting take of mate matchmaking system which just adds to the anticipation of Bucky and the reader to get together. The plot and pace are perfect and I love the couple already! Though it is still ongoing and no pressure at all; I'm rooting for the author to continue this masterpiece!

Once Upon Blue Moon by @sagechanoafterdark

Type: series, ongoing – ⛓ 🐇

Teaser: TFATWS!au where Alpha!Bucky realizing that he was lost and needs help to navigate his life in the 21st century and make it more... enjoyable, in a way. To actually find a life worth to live for from the freedom he gained after the Winter Soldier ordeal. Omega!reader came into the picture as a comfort omega that professionally provides service to help those are in need, such as Bucky.

Review: It is newly released and currently just chapter 1 and I am hooked. What can I say? I'm a sucker a/b/o trope! There's a possible ⛓ content but idk. I tagged it as 🐇 because it says to be 'angst in a good kind'. Any good feeling is categorized as 🐇 to me lol. I am looking forward for the upcoming chapters and what the author will be blessing us with,

Grumpy Grizzly by @abbatoirablaze

Type: series, completed – ⛓ 🐇

Teaser: Alpha!Lee is not as desired compared to his other alpha friends. He's from a grizzly lineage, strong and huge. "But he is huge in all the wrong places" they said. He's insecure, yet still one grumpy alpha. Then, Omega!reader is just a sweet little koala bear that have a crush on him.

Review: uhhhh pleaseeeee I just love chubby!alpha x smitten!omega trope. He's insecure, thinking he deserve no one in the world while the reader just constantly look at him like he hung the moon and stars in the sky. That's my shit right there. It's so cute and fluffy, and makes me happy for no fucking reason. The author nailed it with this mini series, istg i've searching more fic like this but haven't been able to hit just the right like this particular author though. Has little bit of spice and it's perfection!

Teaser: Omega!Reader is currently a new recruit and on a training camp to be a spy. Being the only omega panther shifter, it's only fair that you managed to attract the attention the only alpha panther shifter, Agent Fowler. And oh how he made it very clear that he was more than ready to mate with you when he partially shifted in front of all the new recruits on the first day of training.

Review: Another a/b/o trope that I simply love! I like the idea that they can shift into the animal counterpart of themselves. I don't see that a lot, or maybe I just haven't find more. Anyway, I kinda like how shameless Nick was for approaching the reader the way he did. It's borderline harassment but yknow, its Nick Fowler though. He gets a pass for that, I'd give him the free pass. Anyway, I love the conflict with refusing to mate because being a spy and starting a family (yknow having cubs and all) is not the best idea. Anyway, I love this series so much! Bless the author for writing this.

It’s about as cool as it gets in Louisiana most days—a brisk fifty-two—and Sam’s bundled up like he’s back in Washington, DC in the middle of January.

All those years away from home, and he still never had managed to get used to the cold.

Bucky’s only in a slightly thicker leather jacket, lined with some kind of fleece, mostly because the boys had warned him to bundle up. Bucky’s sweating now, but Sam knows their earnestness in trying to keep him warm means he’ll keep the jacket on all night, the sheer amount of heat his body puts off like a furnace be damned.

It’s become a nightly routine, these walks, first starting during warm, wet, and hazy summer nights and continuing on even now, when the sun dips past the horizon entirely too early each afternoon. They never stray far from home, walk mostly in laps near the house, but tonight, Sam takes Bucky’s hand and leads them out a little farther.

The Christmas lights are out on all the houses Sam knows are going to put them up, and he’s feeling a little nostalgic.

Nostalgic enough to wander over to the old house nearby that he’d absolutely adored as a child, now worn down and unlivable, marred by years of neglect and abandonment and storm damage. A years-old “for sale” sign sits in the yard, weather-worn and illegible.

Sam stops just in front of the house—a tall, dark silhouette amidst all the bright red, green, and white lights around it—and smiles.

“I was convinced I was gonna live in that house one day,” he says, a little wistful. “Slightly older couple owned it back then, a Mr. and Mrs. Jackson. You’d never seen two people so in love, maybe other than my own folks. They’d invite us over for dinner after church sometimes—said it was a thank you for a sermon well delivered—and Mrs. Jackson always had it decorated so lovingly. They didn’t have any children back then—never had any at all actually—so there was no one to leave it to, and I’d always hoped I’d be able to buy after they moved elsewhere, wherever that might have been.”

Sam sighs, shrugging his shoulders and running a hand over the overgrown fence. “I was already out of Delacroix when Mr. Jackson passed, about a year after his wife, and no one else ever picked it up. Now it looks like this.”

Bucky squeezes his hand and Sam takes that as a cue to turn away from the old house and to his boyfriend, swinging their intertwined palms as he pulls them forward again on their walk.

“A shame,” he says as they walk away, “what it looks like now. Mrs. Jackson’d be heartbroken.”

Five months later, almost to the day, Bucky asks to go for a walk in the middle of the afternoon.

It’s rainy, like it always is in May, and Sam gives him a strange look while he gestures to the outside, the rain coming down in a constant, heavy stream, loud on the roof of the house. “In this weather?”

Bucky shrugs, a little sheepish. “I’ve got an umbrella?”

Sam’s not too keen about getting wet because of Bucky in the not-so-fun way, but Bucky’s got a heightened nervousness about him that Sam hasn’t really seen since the first time he asked him to dinner as something other than just a couple of guys, so he begrudgingly grabs his own umbrella and opens the door, gesturing for Bucky to leave first.

To his surprise, they start out on their normal route, and Sam’s a little confused as to what’s got Bucky so on edge, outside of the rain.

When he takes a slight turn off their normal path, Sam thinks they might be getting somewhere.

They come to a very water-logged stop right in front of the old Jackson house, and Bucky’s anxious nervousness disappears abruptly, replaced by almost deadly stillness.

“Why are we here, Buck?” Sam half-shouts, doing his best to be heard over the roaring of the rain.

In answer, Bucky just pushes open the gate, the latch having broken probably a decade ago, and leads Sam up to the front porch.

There’s holes in the little roof above the porch, and it’s only slightly less rainy under it than it is outside of it, but Sam closes his umbrella anyway when he sees Bucky do the same. He waits for Bucky to explain why they’re there, but Bucky just looks around the house, his fist opening and closing again—his telltale fidget—so Sam asks again.

“Why are we here?”

“I got pre-approved for a loan,” is all Bucky says, looking around the old place and fixing his eyes on one of the holes in the porch roof. “Haven’t put an offer on this place yet, thought I should talk with you first even though you were okay with me buying the house on my own, but I’m good for it if you want it.” He scratches behind his ear, his frame entirely too small for someone normally so large. “You said you always wanted to live here, right?”

Sam doesn’t answer, a little too stunned to speak both by the thought of all the work this house needs and by the way his heart is so full to bursting when he thinks about getting to live in it.

Bucky takes his silence as cue to keep talking, his words a little more frantic than they were before. “I’ve always been good with my hands, you know? I wanted a bit of a fixer upper in the first place, even if this is more than I’d imagined. But I can make it just how you imagined, sweetheart, let you pick out the paint and the crown molding and everything just how you wanted it growing up. Can even make some of the furniture if you can’t find what you want anywhere.

“And it wouldn’t all be me, you know? I’m saving a lot on a down payment and a mortgage since this house is all worn down, so I can hire some contractors for things as we need. Least to make it livable quicker, make it a house. But I want to make it a home myself, sweetheart. Make it our home. What do you think?”

Sam’s quiet for long enough Bucky goes still again, and the eerie lack of movement is enough to shock him out of his reverie. It’s his turn to not answer Bucky’s question. “Dance with me?”

Bucky blinks. “What?”

Sam takes his hands in his, guides them around his waist. He places his own around Bucky’s shoulders. “Mrs. Jackson used to open up the windows on rainy days. Her record player was just beneath it, and her and Mr. Jackson would put on some oldies and dance the whole rainy day away right on this porch. Louis Armstrong was always her favorite.” He starts to sway with the music, Bucky following suit, and raises up on his toes just enough to kiss Bucky solidly on the cheek. “Thought we should continue on with the tradition if it’s gonna be our house now.”

“Our house,” Bucky whispers, like a dream, as rain steadily pours down on top of them whenever they happen to sway underneath a hole in the roof.

“The dining room’s going to be green,” Sam says with certainty, remembering how much he’d loved the color when Mrs. Jackson had it painted one year, citing a want for something new, something fresh.

Bucky doesn’t answer, just tilts his head up to feel the rain on his brow before he kisses Sam’s droplet-laden eyelids. Sam hums a few notes of “A Kiss To Build a Dream On,” and feels Mrs. Jackson’s approval in the warm Louisiana breeze.

Three months later, when the house is fixed enough to at least be lived in, the first thing Bucky does is buy green paint.

I started making a fake book cover for @firstelevens latest amazing fic sugar pie, honey bunch and then I got kind of obsessed with making book covers in Canva, so I decided to make covers for a few more of my favorite sambucky fics of hers to show my appreciation for her writing keeping me sane the last few months ♥️

Looking for fic recs!

Anyone know of some really good TFATWS rewrite fics? They can be shippy or entirely gen, don't care.

Basically, I annoyed myself thinking of all the themes, plots, ideas, social commentary, etc. that the show botched or didn't commit to and now I'm wondering if there's any great Fix-its, Rewrites and/or entirely Alternate-Plot we-could-had-it-all type fics out there in the ao3 wilderness.

Things I liked in the show:

- Sam grappling with taking up the shield, with it's history, it's legacy, America etc

- Bucky reconciling with his WS past

- Joaquin Torres. (My precious. You're perfect.)

- Sam's family and hometown. (Love you all. Except that bank dude. Fuck that guy)

- Isaiah Bradley and Eli. Love you. And obviously important for Sam to know about. Isaiah's story deserves to be heard.

- Sam and Bucky being a Team. Don't take my boat scene from me. 🤣😅

-Obviously Sam has to become Cap lol

Can still be used, but with discretion lol

- Zemo and John Walker. So long as we all remember they are Bad Dudes. Use sparingly and with a point, i.e. only to further Sam and Bucky's arcs since They Are The Title Characters.

- Sharon Carter. I'm on the fence with turning her into a baddie. Alts/Rewrites can obviously change that direction. But if a baddie, I just need it to make sense 😭

I could go on. But you get the gist. Basically fic recs that treat Sam and Bucky as active protagonists, and with respect. (I draw a distinction between characters in a story being disrespectful dicks and the actual Story being disrespectful to it's lead characters, if that makes sense.)

Teaser: In which you can see glimpses of your soulmate's life while you sleep. While the memories of the soulmate of every single person in this world come in form a dream, yours came haunting like a nightmare. But, that tends to happen when your soulmate is the Winter Soldier.

Review: It's so angstyyyyyy but soft angst type of shit. At least that's how I would describe it. Like, it tugs your heartstrings with just the right amount of force, to make it stings and not bruising?? There's also this realistic aspect of it, where the reader is basically been dreaming of the Winter Soldier's deeds and missions that her mentality is affected; so she doubts, and she's scared, and she doesn't know what to expect or do, which was very much valid for someone that had been (kind of) witnessing gruesome crimes for her entire life, especially when sleep are supposed to be resting your body and mind. I like that she take time to warm up, and know Bucky Barnes for who he is. More to compliment but I suggest you read it yourself!

Howlite and Hearts by @authoressskr

Type: oneshot, completed – 🐇

Teaser: A world where dragon exists. Each person will have their own when they are born to the world and they will stick with their owners. Some cases, the dragon might go the soulmate's side instead of their owners. Those cases could be vary, maybe the owner died. Or he fell of the train during WWII, which leads to why the reader has both hers and her soulmate's dragon with her. And unbeknownst to the reader, Avenger!Bucky is on mission to find both his dragon and his soulmate.

Review: The dragons are cute asf! Makes me want to have one for my own. I love the fantasy-esque to it! The fic is heavy on the 'searching' part so there's not much interaction between reader and Bucky but I still fell in love with the writing anyway!

Type: series, completed –🥀 ⛓

Teaser: In which the first words that you will hear from your soulmate is engraved on your wrist. "I love you" is such a sweet thing to be craved in your wrist, doesn't it? But, it is entirely different when your soulmate says it to someone else.

Review: I'm just saying, this is purely, utterly just pain. It was a mistake to read this before going to sleep because I wept until I pass out. It's the one-sided pining that crushed me. It hits home on another level. That's why I cry easily, it's because I'm weak to those type of trope. But, alas this made it to the list, right? So, it's a good read truly, it's just... it's a painful process. But, I thoroughly enjoy it anyway!

The Owl and The Wolf by @waiting4inspiration

Type: oneshot, completed – 🐇

Teaser: In which everybody in world has their own spirit animal in a physical form. They are paired with you since birth. They are able to communicate only with you and your soulmate. So when Bucky heard the your owl speaks, he knew that you were his soulmate. But, how long will he keep it a secret?

Review: Another one of soulmates trope with animal partner. Well, the other one are just dragons but you get what I mean. I love the animals; they're cute yet sassy. I also love the idea that Bucky can hear everything the owl comments and him trying so hard not to react to any of them. I wish I could see more of those interaction but it's a very straightforward and solid oneshot after all. I also love the way they all find out about Bucky and the reader's soulmate situation. Give it a read, it'll make your day!

One Single Thread of Gold by @sluttystucky

Teaser: The first words that your soulmate will speak to you will appear on your wrist when you reach the age of sixteen. It been known that there are all kinds of words engraved on people's wrist, from either it is simple greetings or unique statement. But what are the odds when the words on your wrist contains his name as well.

Review: First of all, the title?! Although anything taylor swift related will be automatically my fav, but to be fair i’m also in love with the storyline! I like the anticipation of the reader, something about the way she waits for him to find her. The curiosity for the meaning behind the words that’s engraved on her wrists thoooo, makes me also wonder why he would say such things to her. I was not ready for the plot-twist, but I enjoyed it nonetheless!

Pretty When You Cry by @bellasburdens

Type: series, completed – 🥀 🖤 ⛓

Teaser: Soulmates are connected through this strong pull between the pair. It is as if they shared the same soul; they can feel what you feel. Though there's so many ways a person can meet their soulmate, and bond naturally. Bucky just had to fuck it up when he forced himself into her life.

Review: Bruhh-- like BRUHH-- the mixed feelings that I developed throughout the whole series. I had to take a break to ponder in between the scenes of Bucky’s advances towards the reader. I question my own moral values when I fell for his words istg like, I really went into a crisis at one point but then i remember this is just a fic and I don’t need to think realistically, lmao. It’s not the darkest fic I’ve ever read but it does effect me the most. If you’re okay with dark fic, definitely give this a read!!

See The World The Way You Do by @vanderlustwords

Type: oneshot, completed – 🐇

Teaser: Everybody is born with a monochrome vision until they meet their soulmate. Bucky's is colored with black and white, but he was lucky to be able to see more than that when he was in the 40's. He had lost his soulmate and thought it was the last time he will ever be in love. So, imagine his suprise when little sparks of colors gradually fill his vision the more he spends time with you.

Review: There’s something fluffy about Bucky hiding the fact he saw colors because of her and how he adored the reader even with the mix-match colors of her attire. I also like the way Bucky thinks, I mean his thought process. It’s not too depressing yet not too optimistic either. Something melancholy about it, bitter-sweet-ish. The whole “choosing his tie” thing, got me squealing in the middle of the night. So fluffy! Urghhh!

My Night Demons by @themorningsunshine

Type: oneshot, completed – 🥀 🐇

Teaser: Every person in the world have the privilege to meet and communicate their soulmates through their dream. In Bucky's case, his dreams aren't the loveliest to experience, far from it even. His nightmares has always been the same concept; everything was gruesome and horrid. They always share the similar palette; dark, grey and crimson red. But, one day, he caught sight of something out of the ordinary. The yellow sundress was completely out of place. So does the girl wearing it.

Review: I love thisssssss! The reader has such a comforting presence for Bucky. I don’t what is is but the way how everything in Bucky’s dream was just saddening and depressing but then there’s the reader, so out of place and something about it feels ethereal to me. Like she’s a literal angel glowing so brightly within the dark and horrific nightmares. I love all of the dream scenes so much, especially the first and the last! I think there will be a sequel but I don’t know when will it drop though.

Flowers Bloom by @revengingbarnes

Type: series, completed – 🥀 🐇

Teaser: When a person bleed, flowers will bloom on their soulmate skin on that exact spot. Though it is a beautiful sight on one side but imagine the pain for the other. So, when her entire left shoulder bloomed with flowers ever since she was born, she often wonder what happend to her soulmate and how he is doing.

Review: This was absolutely stunning. The concept is right in my alley! I’ve always love “making something beautiful into something slightly dark/ opposite” and vice versa. This was not dark at all just so you know, but idea of it though. Like imagine if someone cut themselves (for self-harm purposes) and the soulmate will have the flowers across their wrists. Like imagine knowing your soulmate is suffering and you're just there not being able to help. That hurts in a different level. This is not even related to the fic but yknow, I like to feel that type of pain; and this fic will definitely make you feel them. But it was written so beautifully that you might get gaslight to believe that everything is fine and fluffy.

365 Days by @abovethesmokestacks

Type: series, completed – 🥀 🐇

Teaser: In which everybody has a timer where they should be able to find their soulmate. The 25 years seemed like a lot of time, until she realized that she only have 365 days remaining to find him. This is the story a girl desperately trying to seek for her soulmate.

Review: I had so much fun reading this. I took me on a roller coaster of a unexpected emotions! A moment i was giggling and laughing, then the next i might find myself trying to hold back my tears. The reader is somewhat relatable, well at least for me. We goof around a subject that is clearly sensitive for us in front of people; and then there are moments when we're alone, the loneliness and grief comes creeping in. That's when the reality really hits you hard. Go ahead and read this fic, you won't regret it!

What’s in a Name? by @ciarawritesmarvel

Type: oneshot, completed – 🥀 🐇

Teaser: In which the name of the person you love will appear on your shoulder. Though there 3 different colors which represents different meaning; blue means unrequited, red means mutual, and black means deceased. She had his name in blue since she was nothing but a child. After years of pining over him, she wondered, will it stay the same? Or will it change to the way she hoped for?

Review: It is sort of a soulmate au? Not the typical one though and oh my gosh this was so cute and fluffy! I wanna hug Bucky and squish his face in my chest, like you have no idea how adorable he was when he's 5 y.o and 10 y.o! Absolutely cuteeee! Keep punching the air like a mad person. But anyway, I love the concept of the story, I wish this was a series but I'm still thankful for it to exist nonetheless!
