Very important to have friends who enjoy media you don’t personally enjoy, both because having friends with varying interests can help you understand why someone might enjoy something even if it’s not your cup of tea which can help build empathy skills and also because there’s nothing more fun then being able to explain the plots of your respective obsessions to each other and have the other respond with “what the fuck”

Enough random notes that have a written story on them as environmental storytelling, explore the space, get crazier with it.

You move into a house and aw cute, it has the kids height on the walls but you notice there's a three foot difference in height between measurements, you check the date, they're a month apart. The final measurement is on the ceiling. It's dated two days ago.

You're part of a recovery team that have finally found a stranded ship, they were found too late and have all passed a long time ago. They all died of starvation. You enter their storeroom, it's filled with food. In the dining hall you find the tables laden with perfectly fine looking breads, cakes, cured meats, jams, candies. Your medic says all the people sitting at the table didn't eat a Thing.

You wake up in an apocalypse. You can't find anyone at all as you wander the streets but you do hear faint music playing from somewhere. You stumble into a supermarket, to see all the aisles still full, except for the shelf that was full of ear plugs, which look to be the only thing that was looted.

Like there's light, sound, props. Having a street where every house is decimated except for One. Landing on a planet known for having No Water and a plant is growing and you don't know where it could have possibly gotten moisture from but you can't find the citizens Anywhere.

I'm sorry, I'm just kinda over the "graffiti on the wall to show the bad guy is around". That's not environmental storytelling that's just normal story. Show me I'm in the villains territory by the rain suddenly cutting out above me as I'm driving, even though it's meant to be raining all night. I park the car and step out, and realise the constellations are Wrong, until I see they're Not constellations, they're the blinking lights of a massive ship-

I Will stop now because everytime I go to write a sentence it devolves into another prompt but I'm just saying we have a Lot of senses, engage them, show me the Environment in environmental storytelling.

Character B using Character A’s name/nickname in their texts in a playful manner (Just fucking take my SOUL already, this shit makes me melt every time!) 

Instead of a text, Character A receives a voice message from Character B and it’s the cutest shit ever. Bonus points if it’s a voice message after they just woke up, and their voice is a lil’ raspy and UGH.

Character B taking a picture of something, sending it to Character A and adding “this reminded me of you!” or “Saw this and thought of you <3” (could either be something funny or cute or alludes to inside joke of theirs — the possibilities are endless)

Simon “Ghost” Riley feels like the type of boyfriend to have a rivalry with his girlfriend’s cat.

Those fuckers are fighting over lap real estate, the cat is leaving light colored hair all over his black clothes, pissing in his duffel bag.

Simon’s mean mugging the little bastard behind your back. Always silently pleased when he gets to scruff it and toss it out of the bedroom so you two can have alone time. “Accidentally” locks it in the bathroom at every opportunity.

You are incredibly frustrated by their refusal to get along.

It all comes to a head when you have to go away for a few days. You ask Simon to cat-sit for you, and despite his grumbling and bitching, he agrees to stay at your place while you’re gone.

When you get back, it’s clear that something has gone down. The blinds in the living room have been replaced. One of your potted plants is missing and another is in a new pot. The ceiling fan is sitting at an angle…But Simon is sleeping soundly in the recliner with the cat curled up purring on his chest, so at least it seems like they’ve worked through their differences.

Now you have to deal with your boyfriend hogging your cat.

Brain is buzzing, but AU idea: What if, through unexplained circumstances, Bruce ends up with the kid version of his birdies at his doorstep?

Except? The adults are still there.

"Holy shit, is that me?" Jason, -- a smaller him, a happier him, -- points at himself.

At his right, there's a Jason who towers over everyone. Who ate the world whole. "I thought I'll never be a grown up. And I'm taller than B? Awesome!"

He runs up to Bruce like its second nature, jumps and clings. And Bruce hugs him so close. It's like coming home. "Oh, Jay. I missed you, sweetheart, "

Adult Jason stares, saying nothing, hoping the painful wound splitting his heart open closes by itself.

Dick, the adult one, screams when his 10 year old self swings wildly on the chandelier. Begging and pleading with him to get down, " Give me your right lung and a cookie and you got it,"

" WHY CAN'T YOU BE NORMAL?"

It really doesn't help that, upon finding out his older self is a cop, Dick's younger counterpart only replies to him with oinks and pig noises.

Tim takes a long look at his baby self and nopes the hell out of there. " Call me Janet and Jack cause I don't want that kid."

Baby Damian and Damian hiss at eachother constantly. They'll both race to Bruce, who's helplessly trying to make peace, " I can hold all of you. Just have a little patience,--"

Everyone, at once, safe for Cass and baby Cass, who cuddle together and wait for Bruce on the couch, "NO!"

Baby Damian spits some pretty nasty gibberish and points a tiny plastic knife at everyone if they get close to Bruce. But especially himself.
