teu-of-a-kind
It is unbelievably early in the morning when Aldrich stepped into the kitchen. Murky, gray light filtered in through the window as he made his way to the fridge, removing a carton of milk, some jam, some packages of cheese and ham (all of which had his call-sign written on it in permament marker), for his coffee and then reaching onto the top of the fridge for some rolls.
A plate was almost dropped on top of the table, a mug following shortly after, before the ARC Medic pulled out a chair and sat down. The mug was filled with a splash of whiskey, a splash of coffee, and then topped off the last bit with some milk. He rested his chin on his hand and let out a jaw-cracking yawn before taking a sip of his coffee to wake himself up a little.

@teu-of-a-kind liked for a starter
For some people on his team, battles seemed a lot like work. To Naz, though, it was the most fun part of the day. It felt a lot like a game--there were no real consequences, after all. Sure, if they lost often enough they might get fired, but the two teams had a fairly even win/loss ratio, so it wasn’t much of a concern. And he got to experience burning people alive all day! And to experience dying several times a day!
He laughed a little to himself as he trotted across the field, something exploding behind him. Up ahead he could hear an Engineer’s nest, but it was probably the other team’s. He was considering shooting a stream of fire around the blind corner and hoping it’d hit its target, when--
BLUE TEAM WINS!
There was a groan audible through his mask, and he walked forward with obvious petulance in his posture, dragging his flamethrower behind him. He flopped onto the ground beside the Engineer’s deactivated nest, leaning back against a building with a huff. Sure, he could kill her anyway, but it’s so much less fun when they can’t fight back...

@teu-of-a-kind:
  Solider’s grip on her collar caused the Engineer to gasp and choke; her own hands raising to his wrist and clasping to it, desperate to communicate that he was hurting her. But it was all momentarily — happening so quickly that once he released her, the coughs and sputters that followed were short-lived and the Engineer was able to stagger to her height within seconds. She angry and confused, the start of a sharp  ❛ w-what the fuck,❜  slips through gritted teeth.
❝Jane, what are you  — ❞
             He’s already turned the corner, clearly on a mission after what Katharine assumed was the tip of a tail, and she groans before storming after him.
Jane has been in Coldfront for all of two weeks and while his disposition is slightly more irritable from the chill, he is no comparison to the complete grump that Lt. Bites has become. They were a long way from New Mexico now and, while the raccoon had pitched a fit when Soldier tried to leave it there, it clearly regretted the decision. Which it made clear by trashing the base whenever it can scurry out of the soldier’s grip.
Anything was fair game. Even-                                                    -Blue prints.
A roll in its mouth, it scurries past the engineer leading to.... Jane not seeing the engineer, per say. He just sees a person in his way, and rectifies their ‘in the way-ness’. Lt. Bites has gotten him into enough trouble - and Jane can’t climb into the broken vent where the raccoon as stored its stolen treasures.
Footsteps follow Jane on his chase, which defeats the point of him pushing her out of the way! He now does glance at who’s behind him and winces. An unpleasant coincidence. “There is nothing to do with you going on here!!” He barks unconvincingly. Lt. Bites is making good ground.

“I rather advise you,” His first introduction towards the RED, “if you don’t sit here.” He casually leaned against the bar counter, the beer bottle neck held casually between two fingers. “Someone here at this bar has claimed it since forever they’ve been here.” Then taking a long swig of his drink.

three word starters | ❛ i can’t go.❜
“Why can’t you?” The Sniper was panting, tired, exhausted mostly, as she looked at the Engineer with both organic and bionic eyes. Her bionic eye was twitching. Old thing is going to malfunction again if she doesn’t fix it soon.
“Half of the team is heading to the next point to claim it. Or are you staying here in case the BLUs come back?”

Their games of hide-and-seek had always resulted in one of the two to hide in some obscure place. Last time, his mother had climbed onto the roof, and watched as the child searched on the ground- ending the game only after he had begun to cry. This time though, he was going to win. The washing machine seemed like the most secure place to hide- but upon being caught by this stranger, Finnagán scrambled inside the machine out of shock- struggling to press himself against the walls of the cylinder to seem much smaller than he actually was. It was a fair moment or two before he was able to realize that Johnathan was probably no threat to him- despite carrying a weapon, and being an absolute stranger. "We are playing a game," The child’s fingers flickered like lightning as he signed up at Jonathan, "Could you close the door, please? I do not want to be caught."
Well this was a problem. At first, he’d thought that the child was just staring at him, not going to respond, but no. Once he noted the hand motions, he realized, and felt a sense of despair. His ASL was rusty, but the fact that the child had responded at least made him realize that the kid wasn’t deaf, only mute. Unless he was signing that he didn’t understand- luckily, Jonathan did recognize ‘playing’, and a few other things here and there in the sentence, but not enough to understand what the child had meant. "I don't...I don't know sign language anymore. I mean- kind of." He asked, setting the bag of laundry on the ground before going from a crouch to just plain-old-sitting.  "Can you say that again? Slower?" Maybe he could get it, though it had really been a few years.
