ok i had the show just playing on the tv during my day off a bit ago while i was Choring About. and im thinking so hard about maximus again.

that scene where he's confronting tibor and he's like "leaving isn't the right word, because that implies a goodbye. you abandoned me."?

his nightmare about the family returning and knowing what he's done, but bb's face is hidden by the glare of the sun, his powers and true person that abstract to max that his subconcious can't even put his face on it? his final scene with medusa where she apologizes for not being there but he completely rejects her and says that with her head shaved, she knew exactly how he felt all those years?

the confession scene with bb? "we are brothers. thats why you should know the truth." the fact that he's so tearing up and paired with the nightmare scene, its so obvious he does blame himself for their deaths, but he just lays into bb, because he wants him to kill him? the fact that when he does finally apologize, when he does finally realize he screwed up, it's too late, it's years too late, and nobody was going to come back for him?

does he ever find out gorgon was revived? i dont think they shared a scene post like,,, episode two's phone call. would seeing what a second terrigenisis did to gorgon have changed his mind at all? would he still insist on it, even with the consequences looking him straight in the face? was there absolutely anything or anyone that could have convinced him he was going to destroy everything he loved for the chance at powers?

he's SUCH a compelling character in this version, i love how fucked up and angry he is, i love how multiple people try to save him but he's so convinced he's been abandoned that they end up doing the exact thing he was so scared of in the first place. it's so unbelievably sad but it's also so interesting to watch unfold!!! prince blorbo my absolute beloved 🥺

way way way back when i set up a spam account so i could send myself things i wanted to read later. essentially turning that chat into my TBR. i have sorted through them & i think the first thing to do with this rebrand is to give you a list of my favorite fics of all time. below you will find a list of my favorite reads with their writers & a smol why for it making the list. these are in no particular order. please enjoy!

from the last 7 years, i have chosen 20 fics that i LOVE. here we go.

from @deansdirtylittlesecretsblog we have a story i remember getting me excited about what kind of writing could be on tblr. "the arrangement" a lost love fic. 9 parts of love & angst.

2. @sis-tafics out here with a sweet sweet physical innocence trope with the hottie dean winchester. "our little secret"

3. @hrina wrote such a beautiful H. Styles fic about his character in dunkirk. "Il Ritorno" is the first part of 3 fics. i love the little coming home to a new place & new people plot.

4. @supernatural-jackles is the author of one of the only fics to make me cry. "hey handsome" i remember reading this sobbing because i felt the emotions written into this SO deeply. I reached out to them & let them know how much i loved it. & i still love it so to this day.

5. @winchest09 is adding our first dark fic to this list. the slow burn on this one is so so so so good. i found this one a long long time ago & i would say it is one of the first fics that got me to explore the mafia verse "life for rent"

6. @negans-lucille-tblr is giving us another spoicy series up in here & it even has a sequal!!!!! (look down one) the ultimate D/s winchester series. it's oh so good! "you've got me beggin"

7. & for the sequel "Mercy" this series is so good i have re-read both 2-3 times. it felt like crack the first read on both of these lol.

8. oh oh oh okay! this next. one from @pink1031 is probably one of my absolute favorite stucky series. "our best girl" was the fic that sent me down a rabbit hole of stucky fics. i was addicted after this one.

9. @pink1031 is back at it again with the ONE fic on this list i know i have read a minimum of 6 times. it is THAT good. "dirty little secret" was so scandalous and sexy. a J2 fic that had me coming back for more all the time. my escapism really shined with this one.

10. i remember finding "lemon drop" by @impala-dreamer i love the dynamic written here between Sam Winchester x the reader. the intimacy in this one-shot is beautiful. this is something i wish i could have at the end of my days or when i feel like the world is too heavy. i felt seen through this fic.

11. @tuiccim 's style of writing is something i adore & admire. I fell in love through "almost had me believing it" it is truly a work of art. I was immersed into this undercover mission with my man BUCKY BARNES.

12. oh & another from @tuiccim with "Terrigenisis" this is such a good poly-stucky fic. the way it was written felt like it could have been canon.

13. WOAH now! this next one written by @world-of-aus is ICONIC. the universe that is "starkhub" is just so delectable. i remember when it was being published in the beginning i was like a dog with a bone. i will never get enough. I can't wait to see where else it gets taken.

14. this next one is quite possibly one of my favorite mob fics. I have linked the first installment of these lovely smutty stucky fics. "tell me what you want" is the first step into such a delicious universe. thank you @angrythingstarlight for all you write.

15. an absolute banger from @sagechanoafterdark with "codename: Lazarus". i can't exclaim loud enough how good this one is. it had me on the edge of my seat. so dynamic. the order in which you read the parts for this one changes the perspective. don't worry they have put an excellent order at the bottom of the masterlist. :)

16. @avintagekiss24 i wanna start out by saying that I love the space you have created with your blog. when i found "lay me down in the tall-green grass" i thought i found fanfic heaven. i will cherish it always. i kept coming back to this one-shot to relive it as much as possible.

17. i've been thinking about "stained like georgia clay" by @georgiapeach30513 a lot lately. i remember binge-reading it & soaking up every droplet of goodness i could. ;) & that thunderstorm scene 🥵. i'll leave you with that...

18. here lies the "howling comandos tattoo au" that altered my brain chemistry just a little. @navybrat817 stole my heart long before this one dropped. however, this au had me sitting patiently waiting with my hands folded.... um no i was mentally ON MY KNEES.

19. i can confidently say that @georgiapeach30513 's "you were the one" is my favorite Lloyd hansen series ever. i crave a fics that are this good. it all started from a one-shot & then i found out a prequel was being written to it & i screamed in excitement.

20. A quality fic that i have had actual dreams about in the past. comes from @themhoodgirlz . for my 5sos girlies out there "close" tingles my brain in the right ways. i reminisce about the dynamic these two have. years ago when i was a BIG 5sos stan i lowkey hoped & dreamed for that to be me lol.

okay theory time, after episode 5 of Gen V I have 3 thoughts! 1. Gen V is setting up the plot device to kill Homelander (the virus). 2. there's (potentially) a supe with an ability that could cure or immunize against the virus. 3. The main "aspiration to be a true hero" arc might (lazily) end with one of the main 6 sacrificing themselves this season.

1. Is pretty obvious but it could mean more crossovers between the two series (which I'm not super excited for because I actually prefer Gen V's pacing, characters, abilities and diversity more than the Boys).

2. And 3. are kinda the same beats. (And I hope I'm just reading too much doom and gloom into this, but most of my ships have a track record of never surviving the writers room--crossing my fingers for Chenford staying unproblematic in S6 of the Rookie!).

So far, we know Jordan has a "[insufficient] hero complex"; meaning they feel they aren't good enough, deep down. As is evident of their worst fear coming to life in the dream state, where [Fem]Jordan tells [Masc]Jordan they're "a coward" and all they've ever wanted to do is "save one person". Which means they might be put in a position to save the rest of the gang from exposure using their invulnerability and strength. On the bright side, there's also hope that their power allows them to survive exposure to the virus. When they switch, they don't just change genders, but their physiology changes too, (think of it like their DNA being one of those dual-region, double-sided DVDs from the 2000s). Meaning if they were infected and switched genders, they'd change the virus's RNA as they shifted, mutating the virus, and leaving room for a potential cure. But also, that would mean one of their DNA sides would be infected, (like a scratch on one region, making the DVD unplayable) keeping Jordan stuck to one persona--which also caps their ability, since many superhero shows avoid making someone too powerful by giving them a plot-handicap; Quake from AOS breaking her bones early into her terrigenisis arc is a great example, because she can never access her full "earth breaking" ability without her gauntlets on or the risk of fucking up her entire skeleton!

Like I don't think this will happen, but I'm on doom-and-gloom mode rn. I just want my limoreau ship to be happy and queer and safe!

one of the comics i bought recently came with a couple pages of information on the royal family and attilan, and it mentioned that anyone who doesn't go through terrigenisis as a child can choose to do so when they reach 31, as that's attilan's age of consent. considering they live for like 150+ years, i guess that makes sense? but also, does that mean inhumans develop slower than earth humans? most of them don't *seem* to age any differently than humans, teen inhumans seem to act and look their age as a human would. but if they do (or maybe regardless of the answer), that makes bb becoming king at 19 completely against his will even more messed up. can you imagine if someone took a recently orphaned 8 year old and made them president, instructing them to always be perfect and know what to do or else everyone they know could die? oof... :(

I usually think of species with a long life span as having a childhood of regular length, and then aging slower as adults, but since their age of consent is higher, I think this does imply that their development is slower, or at least that society doesn’t expect them to make certain decisions until later

BB certainly wasn’t supposed to become king at 19. I think the Unspoken was supposed to stay as king for longer than he did, maybe until BB was 31

(Also, I don’t know how old Agon was, but I think considering that Attilan was so peaceful, and that they have advanced medicine, BB didn’t expect as a teen to become king at 31 either)

(Wait, this could be the reason why his courtship with Medusa lasted long. Maybe they weren’t still old enough to marry when they got engaged, but wanted to get engaged early because BB was already a young king…)

He was probably also supposed to have more experience in the outside world before becoming king too…

It is so messed up that he had to take such a weight to carry and he wasn’t even (legally) adult yet. He had to deal with the grief of losing his parents and the guilt from the part he played in it and he wasn’t even adult yet. He was young and unexperienced and not in the best place emotionally, and… had he even finished his studies? Did his age influence people’s expectations of him? Or did his powers make people forget how young he was? Did the older advisors (?) and members of the genetic council try to manipulate him?

(Maximus also wasn’t an adult when he first made contact with the Kree… What if he later regretted it but was stuck with the deal? Imagine your actions done in teen angst resulted in your people’s alien creators coming to take you all to space war.)

(Suddenly the show’s choice to have them portrayed by teens in the flashback their parents died makes a lot of sense)

What would happen if one of the Widows under Dreykov's mind control was exposed to terrigen during the outbreak in 2015 and was Inhuman?

Would she be free of the mind control?

Terrigenisis seemed to be an entire body reset process, it did heal all of Daisy's wounds in the framework (however that was the framework and could be chalked up to Aida not knowing how terrigenisis actually works)

i wonder what it was like immediately following triton's terrigenisis. like he's almost definitely not the first inhuman to develop gills, but it definitely doesn't seem to be common. how long did it take anyone to realize he needed water? would he even know himself, or would it just feel like he was suffocating for seemingly no reason? do they even have any pools of water near those chambers? was that just a very scary few minutes?

is this addressed in any of the comics? is it possible triton very much did nearly die, and that was an added factor into his parents not allowing karnak to go through the mists?

small disclaimer for my marvel girls: they all have superpowers (all have the dormant inhuman gene that was activated by terrigenisis as seen in agents of shield season 2/3), because it's marvel and i want them to have powers. jesy is a banshee, morgan is a pyrokinetic and lisa has elemental manipulation. also on the topic of lisa, she has scars on the left side of her face (because y'know she was shot in the face) and she is hard of hearing as the bullet damaged the entire left side of her face, leaving her without the ability to hear out of her left ear.

You know what I think might be cool? Agents of SHIELD Inhumans that show an affinity for their gifts before they go through terrigenisis.

Like? Skye/Daisy being hard to sneak up on because she can feel peoples foots steps or something like that. Kora who can just tell who feeling like they have too little/much energy to burn. Gordon who could always find people and things faster than everyone else.

I just think that the explanation of “a thousand years of evolution” would make more sense if there’s something specific to evolve.
