“While out shopping for new outfits at the New Gotham Mall, Harley and Ivy stumble across a possible recruit…but are they recruiting for good or for bad? Meanwhile, Nightwing and Batgirl follow up on a lead that sends Harley reeling…as many villains’ plans come to light. Everyone is out to tear our girls apart!”

not to be controversial on main but why do we keep letting tee franklin write literal emotionally abusive lesbian fetish porn of harlivy in the comics and call it good queer relationship rep?

Artist Spotlight: Ava Schrager
We here at East Side Mags have always wanted to see BIG NAMES come through our doors and we’ve had a BUNCH of those - some you’ve NEVER seen anywhere else except conventions. Names like Greg Hildebrandt, actor Patrick Wilson, Vita Ayala, Amy Reeder, Scott Koblish, Tee Franklin and many more to name. But our heart is always in the up-and-coming; the ones who we’re SURE will aspire to be those big names one day. We love the underground. The place where big names are still growing and thriving and learning to one day shatter records and draw the gaze of the wider public!
One such up-and-comer is coming here on October 14 from 2pm-6pm and we’re SUPER EXCITED to introduce you to her!
Meet commercial artist, 2D animator, colorist/illustrator, and multi-talented artist Ava Schrager! Originally from Cincinnati Ohio, Ava is a 20 year old 2nd year Joe Kubert School student as well as the winner of the Wave Blue World Scholarship! Her art has no limitations, she draws anything from realism to anime.
Ava’s art is spectacular and that’s an understatement! This woman is crazy talented and your chance to meet her one on one and grab an awesome sketch is here!

“When last we checked in with Harley Quinn, she ate, she banged, and she killed—but now it’s time for something a little different. Fresh out of the events of Harley Quinn: The Animated Series season 3, Harley has found herself a part of a highly unlikely team—the Bat-Family! Meanwhile, Poison Ivy has found herself prepping for her new job—leader of the Legion of Doom! But while Harley and Ivy adjust to their respective new roles, a ghost from Ivy’s past enters the fray and threatens the relationship between everyone’s favorite clown/plant couple!”

Book 10 of 2022!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: The Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour #1 by Tee Franklin with Max Sarin as illustrator
Following the wedding disaster of the decade, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy end up on the run from Commissioner Gordon and the GCPD. Still, Ivy worries about leaving Kite Man at the altar. Luckily, Harley Quinn has the perfect scheme to shake her out the blues.
Content Warnings: cursing, toxic relationship, gun violence, child abuse, confinement, infidelity
What Did I Think?
Well firstly, despite the title, I was unaware that this was a TV show before the comic and this comic was a continuation of that. I’m assuming the show was cancelled? I have since found the show but still haven’t watched it and obviously didn’t watch it before picking this up. Even missing the context and some of that background information everything in this made sense and I didn’t really have trouble following anything.
This was so fun with a lot of energy, excitement and action. Also, it’s achieved my dream of Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy running away together in the sunset. I haven’t read any of the rest of the series yet but I for sure plan to. This was wholesome and lightweight, and adorable.

I recommend ya'll read “Bingo Love” by Tee Franklin, a black, disabled, autistic member of the LGBT community (as stated on her website) who wrote a story about two lesbians in love, facing conflict from their family, and getting together in the end, with their family accepting their homosexuality and with a story about the husband of one of the girls, who has nothing against her being a lesbian and has also brought up the fact that he’s gay and was in love with someone in the war!

Harley fans inciting harassment over the Tee Franklin series but loving the animated series is wild to me because only one was antisemitic and it wasn't the comic

Legion of Bats!
Welp! Tee Franklin is working on another harlivy comic called Legion of Bats! which I believe takes place after S3. However, given how disappointed I was with her EBKT comics, I have little hope for this series. We’ll wait and see. Unfortunately the synopsis on league of comic geeks somewhat spoils S3 before it has yet to release. The 1st comic is set to release on October 18th and will be a 6 series comic like before.
edit: For clarification, I am most definitely looking forward to S3 and think the artwork is cute in the comics. I just do not think the writing lives up to the standards of the show. Her writing seems rather immature. I think this comic might have been better received if it had been a stand alone comic not associated with the show. However, I am very disappointed with the fact that Tee has continued to write toxic traits into their relationship.
