when jab first noticed he was developing feelings for aleksey he was quick to brush it aside, because to him it seemed obvious, logical even, that aleksey would never reciprocate them.

jab is very androgynous and it's how he prefers to present. he identifies as a guy and uses he/him pronouns, and is content with this. however, he isn't gonna limit himself or how he expresses himself because of it.

he automatically assumes that aleksey, a gay man, must be into masculine men, and wouldn't be interested in someone like jab. there's no real basis for this, it's simply the conclusion he makes. maybe it's to protect himself from the possibility of rejection; maybe it's his crippling low self-esteem speaking or some kind of internalized homophobia. maybe it's all of those things.

I went to a baby shower on saturday. and my mom and i both brought handmade gifts, because obvs.

(hers were a sweet quilt and an unusable baby blanket, you could use that thing as a weighted blanket it's a toddler blanket at BEST)

and i'm proud of what i made! don't get me wrong! v cute headband and booties for the nicu. EXCELLENT lamb costume for halloween 2024

and i have not stopped hearing about this sweater since

it's a baby sweater. it's brown. i crocheted it. she only got it because the brown is one of her nursery colors. it was my emergency backup gender neutral baby gift. it's no matching lamb sweater/hat (with ears)/soaker (with tail) set

i have not talked to a person yet. who has NOT had something to say about this sweater. i'm going to be making these things on my deathbed

and i cannot overstate how nondescript this sweater is! i picked it bc it worked with the brown yarn, was free, and had tie closures instead of buttons. it's a sweater
