ATTN: Android Users

You may be aware of a new issue with the Dropout app where videos simply aren't displaying in series collections. There's a solve you can do now to fix the issue immediately: Uninstall the Dropout app on your device, and then reinstall it.

There will also be a new update arriving tomorrow to solve the issue for users who do not uninstall the app. Apologies again for the issues you've been experiencing - we're working with the dev team at Vimeo to make sure these issues do not happen again in the future.

Hello! I have just started listening to your show after hearing about it in passing many times. I am enjoying it! But I noticed that only the episodes from 2020 to present are available on all three of the podcatchers that I have on my phone. Is there a way to listen to older episodes besides doing so on the website? It'll be a while before I run out of available episodes of course, but I would like to be able to scroll through them all to see use what I want to listen to. Are there plans to add the older eps?

Quick (technical) Question.

My FFXIV Launcher won't launch. I tried some thing off google which appear to have made it worse, so I probably need to reinstall.

Presumably when I do so I won't lose my actionbars and UI etc?

This is my game with dxvk.

This is my game without dxvk.

It might look almost the same, but I have a noticeable performance gain, when using dxvk. Problem is, that it seems to overwrite some edits I make with Nvidia profil Inspector, so using dxvk, the game looks simultaneously better and worse. I think, it's the anti aliasing, that is affected the most. I'll test some more in the next days.

PSA re: Twitter Access

For anyone who may not know:

If you're currently blocked from viewing a tweet as a logged out user, you can still paste the URL into web.archive.org and see it there.

This won't work unless a good samaritan out there made a snapshot (or created a bot that periodically makes them) before the update.

Fortunately, there's a lot of them online and if the tweet is popular and/or shared on another social media site, there's almost certainly a snapshot of it.

Where is Lionel at vis-a-vis the party? He’s been with them for 2 weeks now; how have his feelings changed from his first impressions?

It's certainly been a journey!

I will say, his feelings are somewhat skewed considering he has only seen the party at their very worst.

I have thoughts about this? I do not know how to write them and not have it be literal pages long. I'll figure that out at some point.

Lake is still his favorite though, that hasn't changed.

I tried that first, but with the high resolution of my screen, I’d either have a tiny window or not be able to see the UI/text.

I play in full screen mode and have chosen from the settings within the game a resolution that has the same ratio.

I don’t want to play in fullscreen mode, as I often do several things at once. Most of the time I want to play sims while I am on Neopets.com (I am addicted).

If you happen to play on a laptop (this likely won't work well with a big monitor), the easiest would be to turn down the resolution on the screen and the game to roughly the same

I play a lot of other games, so I would prefer to keep the resolution the same, and not have to keep changing it.

I recommend Magpie

This turned out to be the best solution. I can move the game to the background with a few buttons, and then get it to fullscreen when moving it to the foreground. This lets me go back and forth between the game and my browser. Thanks for this suggestion.

I ended up installing Magpie, which was the easiest solution.

I NEED TECH SUPPORT PLEASE HELP

Is it possible to use Razer Kaira Pro bluetooth headphones, connect the USB-C port to my PC (in theory turning them into wired headphones), and be able to use the microphone and headphones at the same time without the audio quality getting completely screwed?

I have a pair of Razer Kaira Pro bluetooth headphones, but ironically, I would much rather them be wired than wireless. I am trying to record gaming videos but it's impossible to hear the game and record my voice at the same time while using bluetooth headphones, as the audio quality gets very muffled. The headphones do have a USB-C port on them, and I connected it to my PC, but I'm not sure what to do next... Now that the headphones have a wired connection and can in theory bypass the data transfer limitations of bluetooth, shouldn't they now work as a normal pair of headphones? I've tried it but nothing seems to happen, it just charges the headphones. However, looking at the Devices and Printers menu in the Windows control panel, there appears to be an audio device with a speaker icon called "Plugable UGA-2KHDMI", connected to a USB 3.0 port on my computer (and the USB-C cable going from my headphones to my computer is also connected to a USB 3.0 port, which makes me thing that the "Plugable UGA-2KHDMI" is my headphones, and I can select it as an audio playback device but it doesn't work, I can't hear anything even on full blast.

Dude, I swear, tumblr keeps posting my doodles even though I only hit "Save" i didn't hit "Post", i'm going crazy. I have a lot of Doodles in Tumblr and maybe sometimes it bugs and Tumblr just post it without me knowing, idk.

Hey you, mutual, that's always the first one to like me posts, you're saving my life, bc of you I know right away what happened and i have time to delete it.

I always post at 18PM, exceptions may be at 14PM or 16PM, if the hours I post are wrong, some technical issue happened, you can still see it, it's just for you to know.

Well. This is Bothersome.

I was in the process of attempting to upload one of my commissions, when I discovered that I apparently cannot use the Legacy Editor anymore. For those who don't know, the Legacy Editor was the previous text editor for Tumblr prior to the current one, which allows polls and such. Whenever I uploaded stories, I always used the Legacy Editor, because it allowed/allows for longer blocks of text. And since my stories have word counts stretching into the thousands, that's obviously important. SO...I guess from now on, my stories will need to be released even more piece-meal than usual. Which is most annoying. Thanks, Bumblr. :P

I don’t understand why some of my iTunes playlists have to reduce their volume level or pause a song if I stray a couple blocks from or return to the house. I thought iTunes wasn’t going to be affected from several Wi-Fi signals when I took it for its first test run in Pre-Pandemic February 2020.

Important Information

Unfortunately I have some trouble with my PC due to a defect… Which really fucks me up bc it totally sucks! In fact, I was already working on a new Rylan edit that was almost finished and should have been published soon, which sucks even more! 😩 I was already looking forward to sharing this work with you… In addition, I have plenty of other ideas and other unfinished but already started Rylan edits/works in the pipeline. But now due to the defect I have to pause them all… 😭😢😥

This means I won't be able to post/release new Rylan edits anytime soon, which pisses me off a lot. Especially since I probably won't be able to fix the problem until September (because of spare parts) So which specifically means I won't be able to create and post new Rylan stuff until September. I‘m so sorry about this… 

So to all my followers and Rylan enthusiasts out there, I just wanted to let you know in case you're wondering that I haven't posted anything yet and maybe worried that I've left the fandom as well. That said, don't worry bc I definitely haven't left the fandom (nor will I) I just have trouble with shitty techy stuff (where the heck is Dylan. I need him asap!!!!) So don't worry, I promise to come back with new Rylan edits as soon as possible, for sure!

Hopefully it's worth the wait (and hopefully you haven't left the fandom by then either) So I hope you stay tuned for my comeback.

Yes, it's a big down on my mood and I'm really angry 😡, but that doesn't change the fact that I still love Rylan and this entire fandom very much. So I'll definitely be returning with Rylan, even if it means there's even fewer people left in the fandom than there already are. I am and will always be a part of the fandom. So even tho I won't be posting anything for a while, I will continue to be there and continue to cheer on other Rylan Artists 🥰💕

And I won't be completely gone after all, bc at least I'll keep writing, publishing and translating my Rylan One Shots! So that doesn't stop (you can't stop me from Rylan!!!! Do you hear, you stupid freakin techy stuff?!?!?!) bc I can still write with my other devices. I just can’t make edits  bc I need my PC and specific programms for that. Maybe it slows me down a bit in writing, but yeah anyways, new one shots and translations will still coming!  So check out my AO3 or Wattpad if you want to.
