I had to draw these two fuckers in their EX style colors- Colress’s EX style is growing on me after my initial disappointment for it is slowly fading away. I love Ghetsis EX style though, as soon as the event dropped I used all of my stamina to get enough of the champion spirits and EXed him lol

Hey! I’m curious about your Plasma Grunt OC. Do you have any lore for them at the moment or any small factoids you could share?

HI YESSSS

So for starters, my OC’s name is Barrett. I got the name for him from his canon counterpart in the anime, but they’re nothing alike. I have a lotta lore for him tho so strap in 😋

Height: 6’

Gender: Male He/Him

Nicknames: Brad, Barry

Occupation: Team Plasma

Personality Type: ESTJ

Zodiac: Libra

Personality: He is a very extroverted person and enjoys talking to others even if he is not that good at it. He is very observant however and can be judgmental.

Barrett is actually from Sinnoh, but moved to Unova when he joined Team Plasma. Back in Sinnoh, he would hang around Professor Rowan’s lab a lot and take care of pokemon. He always despised people who abused their pokemon. One time, he encountered a trainer abusing their pokemon which drew him over the edge. He beat up the kid pretty badly and brought the injured pokemon to the Pokecenter to be cared for.

One day at Professor Rowen’s lab, he saw something on the news. Team Plasma. That night, he got his things together and moved to Unova. Their ideals seemed perfectly aligned with his.

He always respected N more than Ghetsis. He believed what N was doing was right, not knowing they were all being manipulated by Ghetsis. Two years later, when Team Plasma disbanded for a period of time, he left to form the force who remained loyal to N. And the reason you see him in the Neo Plasma uniform sometimes is that he is a spy who mainly wants to collect information on N.

That’s mainly all the lore I’ve decided for him, but I have plenty of other ideas for him too. (I often use him as a D&D character which is what I’m referring to).

And since you asked, here’s some facts about him too.

• He has Autism and Schizophrenia.

• He loves to eat and often stops by restaurants or cafes while on the job.

• He’s actually a very talented battler. Mainly because he has a strong bond with his pokemon, mainly with his Krookadile, Escavelier, and Seismitoad, which he raised since they were all in their pre-evolutions.

• He has a Chimchar which was gifted to him by Professor Rowen who he keeps at the N Faction base.

The list may go on but this is all I can think of at the moment so here’s some bad art I made of him with my other oc—

Reasons why I joined Neo Plasma: -They paid me really good for every TM, Disc, and any other things I altered. Really really good. -They had access to a lot of tech I couldn’t get to otherwise. Warp pads! Genesect research!

Reasons why I left Neo Plasma: -@keen-umbreon talked my ear off about compassion and his own experiences and showed me some blogs from some people during the Rhyme City debacle. -So I did some research. Genuinely looking at everything. To be honest, I thought that the Opelucid freeze “wasn’t that bad” and “didn’t hurt anyone”. It hurt a lot of people. Some people and some Pokémon didn’t survive. It irrevocably altered the landscape of Unova. -During those searches, I saw way too many videos of Plasmas, both knights and ninjas, beating Pokémon. Munna, Patrat, Purrloin. One even cut a Purrloins tail off just for defending its owner.

I didn’t fully believe in their goals, I was mostly just in it for their shiny tech.

Rangers do far more for Pokémon Rights than Plasma ever did.
