Name: Timothy Tarantula Twinkle

Pronouns: he / him

Species: Tarantula ... G-Goliath Beetle...

Timothy is a Goliath Beetle, who randomly appeared in the neighborhood one day. No one really knows where he comes from or why he moved here, but... he is a friendly fella, so don't worry!

He loves to participate in Julies games, helps Sally with her plays, assists Poppy in the kitchen or carries Wally's easel whenever he wants to paint in nature. Most times you can find him looming over his neighbors and... I-I mean... helping his neighbors! Haha...

Due to his height, he is a great help carrying stuff or reaching for the cookie jar on top of the shelf.

You're not believing me, do you...?

Okay... maybe Timothy is a Tarantula, creeping around the neighborhood and waiting for the perfect opportunity to let his dear neighbors "disappear"...

Did you know the limbs of a spider can grow back? Timothy makes sure to "get rid" of two of his arms whenever they start to grow back, so he maintains his beetle-like appearance. He also likes to wear fake antennas on a cheap hairband.

You don't believe Frank would ever fall for some fake antennas, do you?

No of course not! Frank is well aware of Timothy's intentions and both are highly suspicious of each other.

Howdy also sees right through Timothy and tries to keep his neighbors safe. Timothy does his best to avoid Howdy... he is a bit intimidated by that caterpillar...

Eddie as well as Poppy are oblivious to Timothy being a Tarantula. They even maintain somewhat of a friendship with Timothy... though Eddie wonders why Frank seems to dislike their new friend...

Wally, Julie and Sally are also oblivious. They enjoy spending time with their new neighbor, not realizing that Timothy sees them more as a snack than friends...

Barnaby and Home aren't quite sure what to think of Timothy. That new neighbor seems to avoid them both as best as he can. It's probably because of his fear of dogs... but why does he also avoid Home and averts direct eye contact...?

Have some poorly drawn monster ASS trio!!

We got Fire Monster Sam, Crow Harpy Abby, and Tarantula Seb!

Some lore on the fire monsters! In their natural state, they lack facial feature, but lately younger generations have started mimicking expressions with paler flames! This means if their focus of making facial expressions is broken, whether that be intense emotion, focusing on something else, or simply forgetting, their face will distort and eventually disappear until redone, since it’s done manually. Also no bones

With Sam himself, I imagine human Sam has heterochromia, and I decided to translate this into fire terms by making some of his flames blue!

I don’t really have much lore for spider monsters or harpies, but if anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated!

Every fall in the California Bay Area, male Aphonopelma iodius leave their burrows and wander in search of a mate. I saw 9 on my hike last weekend so I’ll be posting lots of these awesome dudes in the coming weeks.

Update: separate fic, and I am proud to announce Tarantulas has killed the humans.

Not the Maltos. The GHOST agents. He has killed the GHOST agents.

Unfortunately he cannot go full freaky ass weird scientist just yet, as he is in the presence of A Child™️. And if he did The Child™️ would be thoroughly traumatized for life. And he is trying not to repeat his past mistakes in the act of traumatizing a child when trying to protect/save them.

Also extremely unfortunately, due to plot reasons from canon/show, he cannot kill Croft yet. >:( But he can inflict large amounts of bodily harm, as a warning for other GHOST agents. As a treat. >:)

But he is definitely giving Nightshade the creeps, even if they can’t tell what is going on atm because they trust him and have willingly turned off their optics and audials because he asked. And he is verging very close to freaky science mode at the sight of Nightshade’s blood, bc ‘that’s an unusual color. might have to look into that.’

But regardless, Tarantulas has caused grievous bodily harm to GHOST Agents. >:)
