“How are you still alive?” Tamian asked with no small amount of shock.
“I am a mighty warrior.”
It hadn't escaped her notice that he was coming closer. “More like foolhardy.”
“The only thing that matters is that you’re safe, princess.” He said, stopping way too close.
“Then why are you looking at me like this?” She arched an eyebrow. She felt the barn’s wall against her back but didn’t comment on it.
Éomer put his left hand on the wall by her head, but left a wide space for her to move away if she so wished to. “Is my memory faulty, or did we have a deal?”
“A chivalrous knight would never mention a debt to a lady.” She said with a grin.
“Bad thing then, that you’re stuck with a Rohirrim.” His smirk was impossible to resist.
So Tamina didn’t even try.

Éomer pushed Tamina’s face against his neck. “Don’t talk.”
For the first time since they’d met, she did exactly as he’d told.
She’d escaped -again- and he’d managed to track her down to this tavern, but they had a little problem. Apparently there were mercenaries also looking for the princess and they were there.
Éomer sat down on a corner table and pulled the princess to his lap. Fortunately she was already wearing peasant’s clothes, however her dark hair called too much attention in the Mark.
So he had the princess on his lap, his arm around her waist and an eye on the three men who clearly didn’t belong in that tavern.
He could also feel her breath on his neck, but he was trying not to notice it too much.
“I saw three of them.” He told her softly. “Do you know if there’s more?”
“There are two more outside.” She told him equally softly.
Éomer took another -discrete -look around. He could probably take those men with Éothain’s help -his friend was waiting outside with four other men -however, it’d bring too much attention. People would know the princess had been there. He wanted to take her quietly back to Edoras, if possible.
He was going to strangle her once this was over.
There was music playing in the back and loud voices singing along. Éomer could see most people were already quite drunk and it was getting rowdy in there. Hopefully that would make those men believe the princess couldn’t be there and leave.
One of them -clearly the leader -was looking around, checking the women carefully. Éomer saw the moment his eyes fell on Tamina.
It was definitely because of her dark hair.
He observed her for a while, then elbowed the man beside him.
“Fuck.” Éomer growled.
“Wht?” She whispered urgently.
“I think they suspect you.”
“Do something!” She hissed.
Éomer huffed. “I will, don’t worry. But don’t get angry.”
“Why?”
When he saw them taking a step in their direction, Éomer did the only thing he could think off; he put his hand under her dress -just on her thigh, though -and pulled her in for a hell of a kiss.

“I’ll distract them. You go out the back door and get the horses.” Éomer took his eyes out of the mercenaries looking for them. “I’ll meet you once I’m done here.”
“Don’t.” Tamina grabbed at his arms. “There are too many of them.”
“Are you saying I can’t fight…” He threw a look over his shoulder. “Seven men?”
“Éomer…”
“Princess, I said I’ll keep you safe, and I intended to do just that.” He cupped her face. “Go, get the horses. If I don’t come out…”
“I will be furious.” She said, but her voice came out weak.
“And I’d hate to make you furious.” He grinned softly at her. “Let us make a deal. If I get out of this… I get a kiss.”
She arched an eyebrow. “You already got one.”
“That was for your safety.” He pointed out.
She pressed her lips together. “If the promise of a kiss will make you more careful, so be it.”
He smirked. “Or you can just admit you want a kiss.”

“See? I told you I was not so bad.”
Éomer chuckled. “Yes… As long as you get your way.”
Tamina smiled beatifically at him. “Exactly.”
He couldn’t believe this woman. “At least you aren’t trying to run away anymore.”
“I wasn’t trying to be a spoiled brat.” She sighed. “I’m sorry that I put you in a difficult position.”
Éomer paused, trying to gather his thoughts. He wasn’t much of a talker, and he knew that sometimes he came across as too blunt. “You didn’t trust me. It was fair.”
“No…”
He put his hand up, so she’d stop talking. “It was. You are in danger, you have something dangerous with you, and you were sent to a strange land under the care of a stranger. Honestly, if it was me, I’d go mad. We did have a problem with communication, but…” He shrugged. “I believe both of us were guilty there. It doesn’t matter now.”
Tamina bit her lower lip. “Thank you. For everything.” She twisted her fingers. “I know I can be…”
“Difficult?” He grinned.
“That.” She grinned at him. “But I am truly thankful that you’re here now.”
“Are you?” His grin turned into a smirk.
“Not that thankful.” She said, but she blushed bright red.

Choose one!
There were quite a few new snippets recently, and I know sometimes they just leave people wanting more (I am people… hahaha)
So now you can choose your favorite snippet to get a longer post.
What does a long post mean? The size of a chapter (around 4 word pages).
Sounds good?
I’ll divide them in groups with the common half of the pair (so Sansa, Susan, Darcy and so on…)
These are the ships that weren’t part of specific groups but also deserve our love.
Claire Dearing x Harvey Russell
Sabina Wilson x Dinah Lance
Madam M x Agent 47
Tamina x Eomer
Leave your choice in the comments for this post. The ships that gets more love until the 21 will be the one to get the longers post!
(Let me know if you have any doubts)

“Princess Tamina.” Éomer bowed to the woman. “I’m here to take you to Edoras.”
“Very kind of you, but I’m not going.” She told him simply, clearly dismissing him.
Éomer took a deep breath in. “I was told you might be against it.”
“Well, now you know. Good day.”
“However…” He pressed, like she hadn’t spoken at all. “I was also told that you must go. Whatever it takes.”
She gasped in outrage. “Whatever it takes? How dare you? I am not going anywhere!”
Éomer shared a long-suffering look with Éothain. Her father had given permission, so…
“If you excuse me…” He said, before grabbing her by the waist and throwing her over his shoulder.

“Princess.” Éomer bowed his head to her, because he did learn how to treat a lady. “Feeling better?”
If looks could kill, he’d be dead three times over. “You mean in my cage?”
“You’re not a prisoner.” He indicated.
“Then let me go!” It wasn’t the first time they’d had this exact same argument.
Éomer sighed, suddenly. “I can’t. It’s not safe.”
“It’s not safe for you if I stay.”
That stung at his pride as a warrior. “We can protect you.”
“My safety isn’t your responsibility.” Her eyes were softer, and -for the first time since she got there -Éomer believed the feelings behind her next words. “And it shouldn’t be a burden to your people.”

When he finally caught up to the princess, Éomer had half a mind to just let her go and try to get home on foot. That would be a good lesson to her.
“Are you out of your mind?” He barked at her.
Princess Tamina seemed to think hard about that one for a minute, and he lost his patience.
“Get on the horse.” He said through gritted teeth.
Her gasp of outrage was a work of art, but he wasn’t about to fall for that anymore. “That’s hardly proper.” She protested.
Éomer rolled his eyes. “Like I give a fuck at this point.”
“Lord Éomer! This language…” Her new complaint was cut by him grabbing her and pulling her up on Firefoot with him.
“Quit talking while you are ahead.” He warned.
“Yes, my lord.” The princess said demurely and he didn’t buy it for a second.
“You are -by far- the most infuriating woman I’ve ever met.” He grumbled as he started taking her back.
She couldn’t hide her grin.“Thank you, my lord.”

“Just tell me why you keep trying to run away.” Éomer asked. “Don’t you trust me?”
“It’s not that.” Tamina huffed. “How many times do I have to tell you? My safety shouldn’t be a burden to your people.”
“Then explain it better. I don’t see how a few mercenaries…”
“Those mercenaries are just the beginning.” Tamina explained to him. “Once they realize it’s not enough to capture me, they’ll send more people. What I have with me it’s… It has no price. People would do horrible things to get it.”
Éomer pressed his lips together. “I won’t ask what it is, but I want to know if it’s dangerous to my people.”
“No.” She told him immediately. “The way it is now, it’s harmless. But if it gets in the wrong hands, if people get it and take it back to my home…” She sighed. “The damage would be unfathomable.”
He took a deep breath in. “I’ve made a vow to protect you, and I don’t intend to go back on it.”
“Éomer…”
“I’ll get you out of Rohan myself. Just tell me where to take you.”
Tamina couldn’t believe her ears. “Are you saying… Will you take me?”
“Wherever you wish to go, your highness.”
