General Liu Xuening is the head of the Millelith and a member of the Liyue Qixing. He wields a Geo vision and a claymore. Xuening's subordinates both respect and fear him, as his demeanor is harder and more inscrutable than the stone Liyue is built on. No one can deny, however, that he is utterly devoted to the protection of Liyue and its people.

Design notes/rambles under the cut!

Xuening was originally inspired by Yun Jin and subsequently Peking opera and the dan character role. Dan roles were originally all played by men (as women performers were thought to degrade public morality), and I was intrigued by the gender fuckery going on outside of the uh misogyny. Plus the makeup and costumes are so pretty and I love to look at them (Yun Jin has one of my fav designs in the game ngl).

That first design looked WAY too much like Yun Jin so the Peking opera vibes had to be toned down. After that I decided to take inspiration from the xianxia genre, especially from The Untamed. The Nie clan was a large part of this inspiration, though I also took cues from more of the main characters' costuming as well. And of course, the current design of the Millelith guards.

I also decided to go with a tiger motif due to the prominence of tigers in Chinese mythology but lack of notably tiger-themed characters in Liyue, as well as them being considered a force of aggressive masculine yang energy, which I thought would create an interesting contrast with Xuening's more feminine traits. The fu, or tiger tally (though they come in more forms than just tigers), was a symbol of authorization among generals as well.

The pose was inspired by a sword dance performance.

Xuening would use the tall male genshin model and his attacks are sand themed.

Xuening's personality was inspired by the lack of "ice queen" characters as well as the few number of playable bastard (affectionate) characters. He doesn't speak much, content to let his signature "neutral face of displeasure" do all the talking for him. Rumors abound about him and his seemingly contradictory nature, which he does not care to comment on either. He is a hard boss who demands nothing less than perfection and the fear of his wrath is quite a compelling motivator for achieving it, though he has seemingly never lifted a finger to enforce the idea.

In my head he and Yun Jin are siblings. Drama kids with an Aesthetic. Insert that one "scary dog privilege" meme from insta/tiktok

Y/N looked around and got out her sword trying to protect her fort, but it was too late. The fort came down and she pouted starting to cry. Drew the knight in shining armor, went to go get her and gave the evil eye at Sheamus that knew he fucked up. “Dude you weren’t suppose to destroy the fort!” Drew said. “Uncle shemi why did you do that?” Y/N started to cry more upset. “Oh gosh darlin’ I’m sorry. My foot slipped.” Sheamus hugged her saying sorry a bunch of times. “No I don’t forgive you!” Y/N as you can tell is in her little space, and Sheamus was chilling with Drew having a drink till he asked her Daddy to play. Sheamus is still new to her being a little but he’s learning, it’s like having fun with a kid.

“Babydoll come on now you can’t forgive me at all?” Sheamus asked with a sweet voice. Y/N turned around and crossed her arms. Sheamus looked at Drew for help but he shrugged seeing if he can figure it out on his own. “Oh god mi heart…” he grabbed his chest dramatically. Y/N turned around and gasped going to him to help him. “Gosh darlin, I guess your powers are too strong..” Drew watched the scene trying to see what what going on. “Uncle what powers?” She asked confused and worried. “Your powers that strike down anyone that take your kingdom away but I swear it was an innocent my queen.” He pleaded. “I didn’t mean to..” she pouted. “It’s alright darlin, but there is a way to cure me!” Y/Ns eyes lit up. “Accept my apologies my queen , and I’ll take ya for ice cream.” She nodded quick. “Uncle shemi I forgive you!” He got back up dramatically and smiled picking her up hugging her, facing drew smirking taking this as a victory. “Now let’s go lass, how’s about some cookies and cream. My treat. Think of it as the enemy giving a truce.” She nodded. Sheamus smiled and fixed her tiara going to the kitchen with her. “I feel abandoned!” Drew said and Y/N got down from the island in the middle of the kitchen, getting Drew’s hand and he sat with her for ice cream.

After a while, Y/N was sleep on the couch, Drew put her weighted blanket over her smiling. Both Drew and Sheamus went to the other room with talk some. “How long have you been with Y/N again?” Sheamus asked sipping on the drink Drew poured. “Oh like 2 years, why?” “When she told you about this little space thing, how did you react?” Drew looked at Sheamus smiling. “Well, I was unsure about it. But I love her. So I learned about it, took a class on insta-“ “There’s a bloody class?!” Sheamus asked and Drew shushed him to keep it down. “Yea you would be surprised a lot of people helped me to understand, it was private too so I didn’t have to worry about fucking reported up my ass about this. What Y/N does is private in this house hold.”

Sheamus nodded understanding. “She has one little friend that’s it.” “Who?” “Judgement Days little hound..” Drew sighed. Sheamus blinked. “That little fucker Nicole?” He nodded. “She’s been there little for a minute. Dominik is the only one she doesn’t like.” They laughed some. “Why does she do it?”

Drew sighed and looked at her as she was sound asleep. “People hurt that poor lass. And she grew up too fast. You know the other day I got her a bratz doll. Those dolls from like the 2000s, I got her four and she was crying. They are right above her vanity in my room. She never had one. And I fulfilled that. I felt good when I did.” He smiled. “Good on you brother. What about when she acts out? Like does she have tantrums? Just throws fits.” Drew sighed nodding. “She does and it’s a struggle. But I got this.” He smirked pulling out a tally counter. “A counter?” “When she hears clicks she straightens up.” He smirked. “Got it from Balor.”

Y/N started to wake up but not as a little, as her usual self. She yawned and rubbed her eyes taking off the tiara looking at the time getting up getting her laptop. “Hey babygirl, you had a nice nap?” Drew asked. “Yea I did. Um imma go finish up my work and turn in these assignments…” she yawned again going upstairs to handle her business. “And that’s another thing, it’s not all the time. It’s just when she needs it.” Drew smiles going back in the living room and cleaning her toys and stuffed animals taking the fort down. “She gets stressed she ask, or sometimes when she has a nightmare she goes into it, either way I’ll be there for her.” Drew smiles finishing up. He texts her did she want any snacks while she studied. “Well I’m glad I’m a uncle for her.” He smiled. “Thank you and you’re awesome for learning more about her regression brother.” Drew smiles as Sheamus got his keys heading out. “You call me if you need a sitter.” He smiled and Drew let him out.

BTS Tutorial: Night-Streaming

Our first day of supporting Set Me Free Pt. 2 is done! For those of you in my time zone on the east coast of the US, it's time for much-needed sleep!!

AND YET. Night-streaming is something we cannot neglect.

Billboard Hot 100 tallies sales and streams by WEEK. So our work isn't "over" for this single (or the album) -- far from it. However, we do get a bit of a break, because now that the first 24 hours are up, we can employ playlists instead of manually engaging (as much).

Here's a good sleeping playlist for Spotify that covers BTS' new solo songs and goes for 8.5 hours. You'll want to log into a new free trial premium account to start fresh for the day, then click to save this playlist. (After the first 20 times each of these songs play on that account, it won't count for Billboard, but whatever you stream after that will toward the artists' overall stream count.)

If you have a Stationhead account, consider joining a streaming party, as that will ensure your connected Spotify account avoids bot behavior by streaming without interaction.

For YouTube, you might try this sleeping playlist, which also supports other BTS' solo and milestone songs.

A little note: YouTube has an auto-pause feature you need to be aware of when streaming away from your device. A “Video paused. Continue watching?” message will surface on your screen if you're around 30 minutes of uninterrupted watching on mobile, 60 minutes on web, or 180 minutes on TV.

I engage a mouse jiggler to keep my computer awake when I'm away from my keyboard, but YouTube still registers my lack of interaction. So I just downloaded this Chrome browser extension called AutoTube--YouTube Nonstop and it's supposed to override the pause function. I'll let you know if it gives me issues. (There are other extensions you might want to try to override pause, but do NOT engage any that involve looping. Avoid looping if you're trying to chart something, always.)

And when you wake up, of course continue the same as always: vote for MCountdown, trend hashtags, spread the sound on other platforms, and stream while engaging every 90 minutes or so. Use free trials for premium streams on all your devices--when the time comes, prioritize the title track. Buy as much as you can of the single and albums, physical and digital; reach out to funding accounts for help if you need. And remember--this is a marathon, not a race. Everything we do this week is leading up to working out the best strategies for FACE.

Has anybody considered the fact that Taehyung and Jungkook might just have different needs when it comes to public affirmations?

I mean, we know JK is hyper critical of himself and he self-admittedly has trouble following through on some of his creative pursuits (which could indicate a drop in confidence) He basically threw an amazing song in the garbage because he didn't think it was that good.

Now, I know Taehyung has his own insecurities and own artistic pickiness but he has always seemed far more self- assured in some cases than JK and less inclined to play nice and consider opinions from those he doesn't know. We all know that ARMY has never been able to tell Taehyung nothing when it comes to what he wants to do, his boundaries etc.

I'm not saying Taehyung doesn't like feedback. He glows when he talks about feedback from the members and when he knows the fans like his stuff but there's always been very much an element of stubborness in that he doesn't really care if his choices or likes seem odd to some and he low-key will not tolerate conflicting opinions regarding his personal style, tastes and choices when his own are so strongly defined.

It must be said that JK has really come into his own in this sense but we all know there was a period where he beat himself up a lot and didn't clapback at the fans the way he's doing lately

I know there have been instances where even Tae's put a lot of pressure on himself but when you think back to their youth; Taehyung was always naturally less critical of himself and more forgiving of himself and centred his own opinions more while JK was super self critical, much quieter in his opinions and a natural people pleaser.

So maybe this is just a case of Tae knowing JK so well and responding to his needs and striking against insecurities that he knows JK might still hold. Or maybe he's proud of JK's growth in that area and wants to loudly reinforce it.

Some people just don't need the same level of hype (even if they might enjoy it when they get it) because they hype themselves by way of their personalities.

And some people need a little more uplifting.

And BTS have won everything, broke everything, achieved everything that I'm certain they don't obsess over the intricacies of charts, streams and numbers the way the fans do. I doubt the seven of them are sitting there tallying their charts and comparing them. Especially when they've all practically made it known that their achievements, according to them, are a product of being part of group and the group will always be first priority to them.

And the thing is, they're not dumb. They know 0t7 ARMY will support them equally and that biased ARMY will lend more support to their faves and that solos will focus solely on their fave no matter who says what or encourages people to do what on a social media post---and they know that their haters will hate them regardless.

And I know we're all shippers here but let's be real; they know that insta posts etc won't really effect the numbers but will be devoured by shippers and in some case used as evidence for or against them primarily so public declarations might just not hold as deep a meaning to them as it does to the fans.

Even the birthday posts seem to come across as a chore to indulge the fans for some of the members.

And Tae might be a little more verbal right now but have some of these anons never seen JK around Taehyung since day one? Like between the looks, the touches, the comments, the beaming smiles, the twinkle in his eyes, the liberties he allows Taehyung to take, the concessions he makes for him, the way they somehow always manage to find themselves in each others space no matter how far apart they start?

And I know there's been speculation of a rough patch and I saw elements of it too but I know for a FACT that nobody can point to one year where JK wasn't still acting towards Taehyung in all the ways I listed above. Like if you tried to chart a timeline of a rough patch it would be still be cut up with moments of JK telling the world that Taehyung is the most handsome person in it or him cuddling or trying to get closer to him (even though some people like to feign amnesia lately and act like JK never makes the first move) there's not one single year or stretch of time where JK hasn't looked at Taehyung with stars in his eyes or found a subtle way to touch him or given comfort to him or taken comfort from him or praised him or melted at praise from him.

Give me a year the worst you know, and I'll still be able to give you a collection of moments of Taekook Taekookin'.

There isn't a single year, not 2017, 18, 19, 20, where JK hasn't still managed to find Taehyung the most handsome, funniest, smartest person in the room.

(And I know we can say the reverse about how Taehyung adores JK just as much but I'm countering all those anons I see speculating that it's all Tae doing the heavy lifting)

I have my opinions on the relationship, everyone is entitled to their own, but it is undeniable that even during their 'worst years' there were still so many examples of how close or at the very least, connected, they were.

Like if you edited all their moments together in a compilation from 2018-2019 alone, there would still be enough love, closeness and intimacy to make an absolute mockery of that conversation they had ITS that was used to imply they'd drifted apart.

Sometimes, I just really wonder what more Taekookers want.

Great observations. I think it plays in to Tae wanting to hide his emotions/feelings, and that's why Jk's way of giving comfort is physical closeness while allowing Tae to hide. Jk however needs the actual vocalization of support more. Which fits into what he told us himself on live, about not understanding why army loves him.. our love is too vague for him and he needs/needed more specifics to be confinced perhaps. People just telling him "I love you" doesn't say much after a while perhaps. Tae being more vocal about Jk, is what he knows Jk needs.

I think Tae grew a lot into accepting his 'weirdness", which can be a real task and a forever struggle. At times it just takes a few people who really understand you and who make you feel safe and understood. I think Tae is a t a point in his life where he has found that and that is what makes him feel stronger.

I will forever die on my hill of believing they don't care about birthday's much 😂.

And yes on them having been very consistent throughout the whole time.
