summary ... it only started with [name] taking in two strays when they were driving home from work, it was pouring and the two poor strays were soaked! you couldn't leave them… so you took them in

it's been exactly four days since you rescued the two stray cats from the pouring rain

they've made themselves pretty comfortable in your apartment. you made sure to give them a warm bath and take them to the vet the next day

You r known for your beauty in the town, people often mistaken u as the goddess due to your spectacular appearance, people who liked u doesnt based on gender, u attracted both male and female. U really wanted to tell them thats not the case of u becoming a goddess in their eyes but theres one particular shortcoming u had since u were little, u have developed a speech disorder which prevented u from talking to people, even if u tried to talk, u will end up stuttering. Because of that, people will think of u as a cold-cool beauty who doesnt like to talk, which they find it cool for some reason-

But dont be too discouraged, u made a few new friends in school, emma, hinata, senju and yuzuha. 4 girls know about your speech disorder and decided to make friends with u which made u really happy about working towards the goal of making 100 friends. U love the girls more than anything and they find u adorable too, u told emma that u have to return some books to the library, she said she will be waiting for u at the gate and u nodded, senju couldnt come because she had a meeting with brahman and yuzuha had some classes on going, as for hinata she went out on a date with takemichi so its just left u and emma.

the way you were going to meet - the way you were supposed to meet - was cute. draken had been thinking of it for a month - since the first dream. since takemichi had blurted out his time-leaping abilities, strange things had been happening to toman. it seemed like a blessing in disguise, though, considering how much closer it made the boys and how much easier daily life had become.

since the first dream, draken had visited the arcade daily. here, you were to be found pouting at a claw machine, upset that you couldn’t get the plushie you wanted. draken would saunter up to you nonchalantly, offering to try and grab the toy for you. in exchange, you offer to buy him anything he wanted from the convenience store if he won. [of course he won, no one doubted he would.]

from there, you would go on dates and fall deeper into each other until his hair was darker and you were both proposing to each other through giggles.

something went wrong one day. draken didn’t know what was happening, or why, but the world felt less saturated that day. everything felt duller, dimmer as he walked the streets of shibuya. hinata and emma were having a sleepover and he’d offered to walk them to and from the store to make sure they were safe.

a pull on his arm and then the blond was airborn, flipping in the sky until he landed on his back. the air is taken from his lungs as he stares up at you. wide eyes peer down at him, narrowing at his silence. draken doesn’t mean to let his thoughts slip out, but they do anyways. “that’s not how it happened in my dream... we didn’t meet like this.”

your eyes narrow further at him, “is that supposed to be a pick-up line? it was awful.”

“you sure know how to crush a guy’s heart, huh?” draken attempts to move, but he’s stopped - your hand is still wrapped around his arm, threatening to twist it. “wanna let me go? didn’t mean to sneak up on you.”

You smiled fondly and closed your eyes for a second, walking up to him you placed a piece of paper in his hand.

"Next week, please come with Hinata, we would love to have your blessings," you chided and left.

Takemichi looked down to see the neatly written card.

"Oh god, Hina I am so nervous, "you fretted walking hastily across the dressing room.

Hinata laughed and patted your shoulder, "questioning your decisions Y/N?"

"No, not that," you looked at her, "it's the best decision I have ever made, but I am just scared..."

A knock on the door drew your attention.

"I'll check," Hina said walking to the Pallas, "she opened the door to see a man clad in a designer shit, gold-plated glasses glinting beautifully and streaks of black and blonde hair swiped neatly to one side.

"Is Y/N here?" he asked Hinata.

"She is," she answered, "but you can't see her!" Hinata tried closing the door, but Hanma held it with one hand.

"Why? She is my soon-to-be wife?" he said pushing the door open while Hinata tried to push it close.

"You...ugh...you can't!" she exclaimed, "it's a tradition!" Hanma kept on trying to push the door open.

"Ugh...what tradition?" Hinata pushed the door with even more strength, but the tall man was overpowering her easily.

"You can't see your wife's face before the ceremony!" she shouted.

"Do I look like I care?" he had almost budged the door open.

"Shuji!" you shouted causing him to stand in attention position. En-garde.

"Listen to her, it's only a few minutes more," you answered.

He huffed and moved away, "fine, fine."

Hinata chuckled and peeked through the gap of the door, "she has already started acting like your wife." Shuji smirk-smiled at her statement, walking away.

Hinata sighed and added some final touches to your outfit.

KNOCK-KNOCK

"Ugh not again," she grumbled and walked to the door with heavy steps like a baby about to throw a tantrum.

She opened the door a little and peaked, "Hanma Shuji, I would love it if you have a little patience for god's sake!"

"Uhh," the man looked amused at Hinata's outburst. The lady looked up a little and squeaked in terror after realising who she had just shouted upon.

"M...Mikey-Kun?" she stuttered out.

"Mikey-nii!" you exclaimed happily and urged him to come in, Hinata left the room, slowly walking away from further embarrassing herself.

"You look really pretty," he smiled, "Baji would have been really happy today."

"He would have" you chuckled, "even though he hated Shuji."

"Mikey-nii, the real reason I called you here is because I want you to walk me down the aisle."

Mikey gulped in trepidation, "Me? no, I possibly couldn't."

"I insist," you pleaded, "you are the closest person to a brother or father I have, Kei-nii would have wanted this."

Hinata came running to your room, "It's started, come on Y/n."

Hanma Shuji knew he was instantly in love with you, the day he read your diary. He had it all planned out, he wanted a stable buoy in his life full of uncertainties. Someone he could call home, a place he could come back to, Hanma Shuji wanted to be with you forever. Hanma Shuji lived for the thrill, but it was now that he realized, that falling in love is the biggest adventure of all time.

Poets, travellers and writers, all talk about these magical places he wanted to spend his life in as a child; he reads those books again and realises he still wants to spend his life there, but this time, he wants you by his side.

You were someone he wanted to protect with his life, he would tear the world down to keep you safe. Hell, he would even tear himself down if that made you happy.

He knew he would be obsessively in love with you, the day he read that letter of yours which read the following lines:

It is probably the way you speak in deep whispers, words full of teasing taunts dripping down like ichor, your words are words so compelling, like the pipe of the pied piper that I can willingly follow you to my ruin.

Hanma Shuji-san and my dearest senior, as cliche as it sounds, I want you to tell me every terrible thing you have done, every sin you have committed, yet let me cherish you either way.

Hanma swore he could have felt his ruined, treacherous heart, beat with love.

Did you feel safe with him? A delinquent? A man who looks like he will eat you raw? That was the pleasantest thing he had heard about him.

He didn't deserve something so pure to be written for him, he didn't deserve to hold you in those bloody hands that had taken so many lives.

His eyes scanned as you walked carefully down the aisle, hand-linked with Mikey who was glaring at him, funny, all he could see was an emo midget.

You looked like an angel who had descended from heaven...my to be marrying the grim reaper, preposterous, but that's alright. He was ready to fight the heavens if that made you happy.

You stood in front of him, with the brightest smile on your face, with those vows he would protect that smile forever.

"Do you, Hanma Shuji, take Baji Y/N as your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do."

"Do you Baji Y/N, take Hanma Shuji as your husband?"

"I do."

And both of you would say yes as many times as needed.

"You may now kiss the bride."

Shuji leaned in and encaptured your lips in his, pulling you into a gentle kiss. It was an exchange promise, mingling of souls and an awareness that all of this wasn't just an extremely well-woven dream.

2018

"Shuji, I figured it out!" you cheered, "I finally know who killed Robert," you pointed, watching the TV intently.

"It's Julia! She killed him!" you exclaimed.

"Huh?" he came rushing from your shared bedroom, tie half-tied, he had just returned from work. Apparently, Mikey thought it was a good idea to make him work on Saturday too and you were salty about it.

"No way! I thought it was Liam!"

"Nope it's Julia!" you noted

"Mhm," he leaned and kissed, "how was your day today, pretty?"

"Nothing, I just chilled on the couch, watched movies, caught up on the show and finished some documents in my office."

"Also can you get the cake I made let's eat it together, it's on the table, I feel too tired to get up," you chided.

Hanma nodded and rushed to the kitchen, his eyes wandered to the icing and a shriek left his throat as he realised what was written on it.

He came running with the cake, "Y/n! Is this a prank?" he asked haphazardly.

"Nope," you laughed.

"Holy shit!" tears ran down his face as he kept the cake and rushed to hug you.

His arms were wrapped around you, small cries of happiness leaving his eyes, "oh god, Y/n, thank you so much, I love you, I love you, I love you."

And in case my friends, you wonder what was written on the cake; it was the start of the tale of the second Grim Reaper:

Pfft Hanma’s suggestions for their team of four are great.

Yes I’m highly suspicious that both Kisaki and Naoto both “hate wasting time.” AND that Hinata says it sounds just like him..

She and the psycho went to elementary school together! Shit!!

“He’s a little awkward and blunt, but he’s good at heart.” I seriously doubt that last part sweetie!

So THIS is where the whole “my hero” comment came from huh?? Takimichi saving Hina from goons way back when while Kisaki stood around and did nothing??

Alright but aside from Kisaki hiding away in the back who’s the other dude back there too? like this adult is just gonna stand by and watch these kids beat on each other?

Okay yeah, he’s concerned since Takemichi’s a hoodlum and he doesn’t want his daughter to get caught up in any trivial conflicts, but cmon man, she is more than happy with that boy.

Poor Chifuyu has to endure dinner with Kisaki and Hamna alone.. but damn, isn’t fair how Hanma looks good in everything. He’s so freaking tall too.

Oh and he makes it worse by saying how he “likes something else.” Boy you would’ve been better off telling her the truth than that stupid lie.

Well damn! She straight up punched him across the face! Nice! Sorry Takemichi but I say you deserve that 100%.

Not once but twice! OH! Several times actually! Yeah girl!

Bro come on, I’m so mad at him for this. he really should’ve told her the reason why at least, especially since in the future he knew she kept on wondering. At least this would’ve been a small change. Maybe it would’ve helped something somehow.
