@accidentallyheartless
That's an interesting point about the workstation. It made me realize we do see this place here in the opening cutscene. hmm.. And Geppetto being involved in Carlo's death in that way might have fuelled his regret in that kind of engulfing madness that made him the monster he was. [Tbh though, I don't think he was a good person to begin with, even pre-timeline]
@ahhlito
You mean the loading screen, right? [unless I missed some other word-of-God confirmation about Carlo] I know that's what the game tells us - but I and some others in the fanbase have doubts about the truthfulness of that particular screen, given what we see in the sand memories; even though, logically he must have had the disease because we have his Ergo. Basically, I'm wondering if he had the disease, but ultimately died maybe due to the blood loss from losing an arm or some other kind of attack. I'll try to explain my reasoning for that the best I can in another post
Some of braveheart's post here:
IT’S NOT!!! It directly contradicts what the game tells you in the story!! Your memories show Carlo on the ground with the Stalker over him wishing she had arrived sooner. If it was the disease? Then she would have been no help, so why regret not being there?
And for the nameless puppet, it is a bit odd. my thoughts are that Geppetto doesn't see the nameless as Carlo either, and therefore doesn't bother ("Were you going to destroy Carlo's heart?" instead of "Your heart"). Also that maybe it did originally look more like Carlo, but without enough Ergo to properly preserve it, decayed over time, forcing Geppetto to replace large chunks of it.
Perhaps it shows how dead-set Geppetto was on going through with his plan with the arm of god and the frenzy, because why maintain the puppet at all when Carlo could be revived anyway? [which he does in one of the endings]
And I think, "narratively" [I don't think I'm using that word right lol], it shows how desperately Geppetto is clinging to the past, the literal corpse of his son, even as it's falling apart in his arms. The guy who brought upon a new age, Krat's new dawn of technological advancement - can't seem to move forward
@ideas-on-paper
[I LOVE reading discussion about this game]
I remember someone somewhere pointing out that when the strings are cut, the first “human” thing nameless puppet does is grab its head like it’s in pain :O [I can’t remember where i read that im sorry ahhh]
and also what’s really crazy about that theory is that the piercing hatred amulet tells us
"If this puppet could feel only one emotion, it would be hatred."
IF.
They could’ve just easily told us whether or not the puppet could FEEL, being the game and all
but instead they choose to say. “We don’t know”
[also PS: omg i HAVE to watch evangelion. i've been meaning to watch it for YEARS. but also. like actually. im too scared]

What would be your ideal ending for Sasuke ?
In one word, anon, justice. I really don’t care a lot about everything else. If he marries or has children, if he wins or loses the fight with Naruto, if he goes travelling or whatever. The least he deserved was justice and reparation, and he got nothing of that.
Sasuke deserved an ending where his rage was validated. Where he received a formal apology. Where the genocide of the Uchiha was not swept under the rug (if the wishes of Itachi were to be respected, at least acknowledge the oppression and exclusion that they suffered from Konoha and clear their name from the suspicions raised after the Kyubi attack). Sasuke should have not been forced to show remorse in the end. Remorse for what, anyway? He had nothing to feel sorry for, he did nothing wrong. He didn’t even punish half the people that deserved to die at his hands. What does he need to atone for, when deranged villains went on without consequences? Sasuke was a victim of genocide. The least the perpetrators could do was apologise and be thankful he didn’t materialise any of his threats to burn Konoha to ashes.
Sasuke deserved to see the two counsellors that remained alive fired, prosecuted and punished. He deserved to be honoured and awarded for saving the world and for his crucial role in ending the war, and all he got was ostracism and a condescending scolding from his former teacher.
Sasuke deserved compensation. He deserved to see his clan honoured and remembered. He deserved to get returned any property, document, or information Konoha had gotten from the Uchiha after the massacre or during their unlawful surveillance, including any body parts or any other thing stolen for any of Danzo’s grotesque endeavours. He deserved to see the Root disbanded, any of its willing members investigated and punished, and Danzo declared a traitor, a child abductor, a genocidal trash, a corrupt and a conspirator.
Sasuke deserved to see his friend, his so-called “like a brother” standing by his promises and doing something to change the world for the better. Sasuke did not deserve to be alone and remorseful working for a place that never officially repudiated the darkness and the ways of the past. Sasuke did not deserve to see the enabler of the extermination of his family glorified in the form of a painting in the Hokage’s office. And the same for the fascist that spread racist pseudoscience about his family to justify their segregation and oppression. He did not deserve to see those that promoted the genocide of his clan working as counsellor for his so-called friend, who still hears them in his office.
And, of course, Sasuke deserved Taka, too. He deserved to be with them, to honour the promise he made to Jugo. Their unconditional loyalty and friendship. He deserved comfort in the friends that he chose and that were ready to fight the world for him.
And, I think, anon, Sasuke deserved to pursue his revolutionary ideas to build a new world without the darkness of the Shinobi system. Sasuke did not deserve to have all his personality, his character and his soul killed for the sake of the main character’s victory. We know the main character had to win, still, there was so much potential in Sasuke. We deserved to at least see them improving the world together. Making efforts so the future generations never had to experience what they went through.
Anyway, sorry for the long rant, I don’t think I surprised you with any amazing idea for an ending, as everything I mentioned has been discussed before by many others. I apologise also because it took me ages to answer. I hope you are having a wonderful time, anon, please take care.

Team Taka and who personalizes their stuff (from least to greatest)
This is chaotic and there’s no logic to it
Juugo - doesn’t have a lot of stuff to begin with but is also too worried about the short-lived nature of most everything around him (bc the fits) to decorate anything. He’s too likely to lose it so it’s better not to get attached. After he joins the team he slowly starts to personalize things. Starting with small things like labeling his clothes. He’ll branch out eventually but still needs some time
Karin - says having too many decorations isn’t practical and is dumb but really it’s just that she gets too sentimentality attached to one thing (always some random mascot keychain) to collect anything else. She will use the keychain until there’s no color left and all the seams are coming apart before she gets a new one. Usually the exact same one
Sasuke - doesn’t personalize a whole lot but will write his name on anything that’s his without fail and that counts, right? Suigetsu has called him a preschooler for doing it but Sasuke doesn’t care. He has a few keychains that he’s collected here and there from traveling (all of them were gifted bc he won’t buy it for himself even though he always looks at them) but he only hangs them on the pull string of lights. No one knows why.
Suigetsu - out of everyone on the team he’s closest to being a skater boy and that means he has a mad obsession with decals and stickers. It started because of Mangetsu and he’s never stopped. He has a box full of stickers ranging from stupid to confusing and he can tell you where he got each one. He doesn’t just keep them in a box though he sticks them on literally everything. From his water bottles (bc he collects those too) to anything belongs to him (or not, because he also does this to Sasuke’s stuff as a way to steal it). He once almost decorated zabuza’s sword with stickers and totally would have if “the stickers wouldn’t get ruined by blood”

Team Taka is trying to find information on the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki. It's frustrating for everyone, especially for Sasuke, knowing that Kumogakure is able to hide the classified data from outsiders.
Nonetheless, his team continues to search for anything significant.
Sasuke: Ask around but don't hurt civilians.
Suigetsu: You know full well that we won't get any information using that tactic.
Sasuke: Then what do you suggest?
Suigetsu: Maybe terrorize the people? I really don't know. *chuckles*
Karin: *hits him* Are you dumb? That's the easiest way to blow our cover!
Suigetsu: Cover?? We're wearing Akatsuki cloaks. Do you think we don't look criminal enough?
Jugo: You two, stop. Let's just go and ask around. Maybe we should separate from each other.
Sasuke: Right. Let's meet again after an hour.
The three agree and they all disappear.
After an hour..
Karin: Really sorry, I didn't get anything—
Suigetsu: That's because you really look like a villain. *laughs*
Karin: Shut up!! *hits him* Why? Did you get anything at all?
Suigetsu: Of course!! I'm an accountable member of Team Taka, that's why!
Sasuke: Is that true? Because I also didn't get much information. I only learned that he's really strong.. As expected from a jinchuriki.
Suigetsu: Ugh. Maybe we should rethink about the team's leadership like—
Karin: Take that back!! Take! That! Baaaack!! *collars him*
Suigetsu: Relax!! I'm just joking!! Put me down, Karin!
Sasuke: Enough of that! I really couldn't care less.
Karin: *lets go of him*
Suigetsu: Okay.. Maybe we should hear from Jugo first.
Jugo: You're really proud of your intel, huh?
Suigetsu: Obviously.
Jugo: Well, I don't have anything. The people here are very cautious.
Suigetsu: Such a lost cause. *sighs* Hear me out..
Jugo: Go on.
Suigetsu: Are you ready for this juicy info?
Karin: Yes.
Suigetsu: Are you sure?
Sasuke: Yes.
Suigetsu: Are you—
Karin: We won't freaking wait! Sasuke, put him under genjutsu!!
Suigetsu: Hey, no need to rely on violence!! Fine.. Well.. I found out that he aspires to be the world's greatest rapper!
Sasuke: SHANNAROOOOOO! *almost punches him*
Suigetsu:
Karin:
Jugo:
Karin: *whispers to Jugo* What did he just say??
Jugo: Sha— something..
Karin: You're saying something, Sasuke?
Sasuke: *clears his throat* Forget that.
Jugo: Apologize, Suigetsu. He's red in anger.
Sasuke: /thinks/ More like red from embarrassment. Good thing they don't have any idea.
Suigetsu: S-Sorry, Sasuke! B-But what's the problem? That's such a good intel—
Sasuke: It's useless. What will we do with that info? *sighs* We should keep going and not waste our time here. Whatever he may be, we must do our mission and succeed.
Karin: Agreed!
Jugo: Agreed!
Suigetsu: *opens his mouth* Hey, that's rude!! Wait for me!! *runs behind them*
---
Fast forward to the current time..
Sasuke's old team is having a picnic with him and Sakura.
Sakura: Ahh, why is it so hard to fish today?
Sasuke: Right. I think there was some erosion that happened and it affected the flow of water.
Suigetsu: Why did we even decide to fish when we all can't—
Karin: *whispers* Shut up!
Sakura: What if I try to hit and remove the eroded soil?
Sasuke: I guess that's okay given that no other marine organisms will be affected.
Jugo: I agree with Sasuke. Consider the other organisms as well.
Suigetsu: Ahh, you two are too soft!
Sakura: Okay, please move backwards.. SHAANNAAROOOO!
Karin: *holds her mouth*
Jugo: *gasps*
Suigetsu: So, the decade-long mystery has been solved!!
Sakura: *happy because it worked* Hm?
Sasuke: What do you mean?
Karin: We've always been wondering what that word— What was it? Sha—
Sakura: Shannaro?
Karin: Yeah, that one!
Sakura: Oh, it's just my expression when I'm annoyed or too excited.. *giggles* What about it?
Suigetsu: Sasuke mentioned it before.
Sasuke: *sweats*
Sakura: Really, Anata? *blushes* When was this?
Jugo: It was a long time ago.. When we were still Team Taka..
Sasuke: Okay, enough of that.. Let's continue—
Suigetsu: Ah, that's why it looked like you were taken aback of what you said at that time!
Jugo: You were thinking about Sakura.
Sasuke: I just blurted that out. It wasn't intentional—
Sakura: So, you also used that expression, Anata? I thought you find it annoying..
Sasuke: It's not annoying.
Suigetsu: He just missed you, I guess.
Sasuke: Suigetsu.
Suigetsu: It's okay, you know!
Jugo: Yeah, just admit it, Sasuke.
Sasuke: I told you, it's not—
Karin: Sasuke, it's okay.
Sasuke: SHAAA— *covers his mouth*
Sakura: *laughs hysterically*
