So you know the whole, armband spouse thing between GhiraxKali and TaiyangxRaven or TaiyangxSummer? Where the color of the arm band represents their spouse’s color? What if in some cultures of Remnant that’s their version of a wedding ring? What if by the end of RWBY we get a scene where Yang ties her purple bandana around her arm?

Honestly, I could see it happen, even before the end. I kinda expect Blake and Yang to share more of their color pallets. Like Blake getting a little splash of gold or orange and Yang maybe getting like a purple top.

Yeah, I can still do those.

Taiyang x Summer: definitely something that has a lot of complications in how and when they got together, and definitely one that has its own issues. Otherwise, its a good ship that's canon and leaves me questioning what the actual nature of their relationship was.

I like exploring this one in my aus.

After the great success of my Pyrrha and Spiderman cremation pendants at Anime Zap, I've been asked to branch out. @adrenaline_cosplay has asked me to make a Summer Rose cremation pendant with a few extra design elements. She’s gone.

It’s only been a few days when he got the notice. He couldn't bear to tell his kids about it. Not just yet, he couldn’t sleep, he couldn’t eat, but he made sure the two did. The day he sat them down was hard. Tai had to do it alone --- no one was with him, holding the girls in his arms, he tried not to cry.

Giving them a kiss on the head as he spoke --- he couldn’t even think about the thoughts that would be going throw their head. Ruby was still very young --- and Yang, she knew what death could bring, and it killed her the most. He held them in his arms for a while and cried. Telling them both she was gone.

Mommy wasn’t coming home.

She wasn’t coming home to bake the cookies that ruby loved.

She wasn’t coming home to prove to yang she was as strong as she bragged.

Summer wasn’t coming home to their happy family.

It was A WEEK before Qrow came home --- he was lost as well, as Taiyang was planning everything. He was HEART BROKEN. he was drinking --- while the girls sleep. He never took himself to be a drinker --- he was just was in pain. Qrow and himself took the time and planned it out. Everything needed to come to -- and Taiyang couldn’t put it to his mind, that she was GONE.

Qrow was just as broken --- and both of them needed to stay strong for the girls who they loved so much. the two of them didn’t know how to handle this --- it SCARED them to know their leader--- there best friend was really gone. Those days, Taiyang couldn’t pick a fight with Qrow --- he needed the suport, as much as Qrow did.

That day --- there wasn’t a body there wasn’t anything but the white hood left. the tombstone marked with Summer Rose; Beloved wife, friend, and mother wrote over it. Tai was bent down and holding the two baby girls he loved so much in his arms.

Qrow behind him, it was time to go home --- after all of this, the other grabbed the girl’s hands and Tai told him he would catch him. Sitting there -- in front of the grave he just stared. This wasn’t the first woman he loved --- and it would have been the last.

Slowly he inhaled and shaking his head --- His voice cracked for a moment as he spoke to nothing.

“I should have been there to protect you.... But I wasn’t -- I failed you. But don’t worry my flower, I’ll protect them, I will love them, I will do everything you were doing --- I will make sure our girls grow up to be as WONDERFUL; Lovely, fearful, strong --- just like you. You will always have a PLACE in there hearts, Qrow’s and my own. I will never forget you. I won’t ever forget my parter. My lover, my Rose...”

Tears falled from his cheeks onto the ground, soon after, he heard another voice --- Turning his head, he saw Ruby. His other little rose. Her words came out --- and all she said was ‘daddy, it’s time to go home.’ ---- he moved and walked over to her. Picking her up into his arms for a moment he hugged her and nodded. Taking a step, he turn his head and looked back at the grave.

“ No matter what --- I will always love you.”

he spoke softly as he walked back over to qrow and yang, and they went home. It wasn’t going to be the same anymore --- BUT, he was going to make due for her, and their kids.

So with Fairy Tales of Remnant confirming Taiyang x Summer and Taiyang as Ruby's Father as canon, and with a literal explosion of TaiyangxSummer comic dubs and Xiao Long Rose Family Comic Dubs and Fan Animations...

How do you suppose the fandom would have reacted to such stuff coming out back in volumes 4-7?

Or if the show had done a better job of shutting down the "Qrow is Ruby's Father" theory that Monty debunked, instead focusing to solidify that theory?

I ask because a lot of people who are hating on the show seem to claim that Monty and the writers were lying to us?

Do you think Monty and the writers were lying to us when they said that Taiyang is Ruby's father, and that Ruby and Yang are half-blood sisters?

So I had this funny idea.

Whenever I've commissioned TaiyangxSummer fanart?

People thought it was JaunexRuby.

But what if , as a prompt?

Jaune and Ruby being friends led the Beacon Students to mistakenly assume, Through rumors spread by Signal Academy students who knew Professor Xiao Long and that Ruby and Yang are his daughters... That Jaune and Ruby might be siblings separated at birth?

Ruby and Jaune aren't aware of the rumors, and are confused by how everyone is reacting around them but their teammates are aware.

Yang of course would be LIVING FOR IT.

As for the other team members?

Well...I'm just saying it would be hilarious.

Jaune sighed as he crumpled up another note addressed to him asking for permission to date Ruby. She sat down and leaned back in his chair. “Okay, Yang, what did you tell people?”

“I’m not sure what you mean,” Yang replied.

“Ever since we started here at Beacon, people have been coming up to me to ask for permission to date Ruby and I dont get why. I mean, sure, the two of us are good friends, but its not like we’re seeing each other.”

Yang smirked a bit and started working on her homework. “And what makes you think they think that?”

“Why else would they? I guess I’m a little protective of her, but she’s my friend. And I’d be protective of the rest of you too.”

“Not like we actually need any help keeping ourselves safe,” Nora pointed out. “And Ruby is more than capable of handling herself too. I heard the last person who tried to force her out on a date ended up with a broken nose.”

“Yeah, but, I can still help deter some of the unwanted attention.” Jaune leaned back a bit farther and looked up at the ceiling. “Still, some of the notes have been addressed to a “Jaune Xiao Long” and I still cant figure out why.”

Weiss leaned over to Yang and whispered to him. “I’m going to tell him.”

“No you’re not,” Yang hissed back.

Jaune paused. “Tell me what?”

“That you’re oblivious,” Blake answered. She pulled away from the doodle on her notes and smiled a bit. “Think about it: why else would people think they need permission from you to date Ruby?”

“Because… people think… she likes me?”

“That’s… not exactly what I’m getting at.”

“But if she likes me, then… she wants me to ask her out, right?” Jaune got up and started to pack up his notes. “And I should go find her to clear things up.”

“That’s your takeaway from this whole discussion?” Weiss pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed. “Not the fact that people think your last name is Xiao Long? You know, like Yang’s last name?”

Jaune ignored Weiss and started rushing out of the library. “I’ll be right back, I just need to let Ruby down gently!”

Nora shook her head. “Is he really that clueless? This has been going on for months.”

“He and Ruby will figure it out on their own,” Yang said as she started to pack up her homework. “Though, I do think I’m going to follow him to make sure he doesnt get hurt. Ruby still hasnt exactly figured out the rumor that’s going on about them either and I really dont want her to think Jaune is barking up the wrong tree.”

Weiss sighed and went back to her own work. “If they dont figure it out after another week, I’m going to tell them. Though, with how oblivious the two of them are, I’m starting to think that the rumor might have a grain of truth to it.”

“If they dont figure it out in a week, you can tell them all you want.” Yang started to follow after Jaune, a small smile crossing her lips. “And then, maybe I can take him on a date after. You know, to clear up the rumor a bit.”

What is TaiyangxSummer exactly? I hear RoseDragon, Tiamat, Seasonal Depression, Summer Lovin, Snapdragon...which is it?

I think all of them, depending on what circles you run in and how you feel about the ship. I know that a lot of people use Seasonal Depression, enough that if you mention it the majority of people will know what you’re talking about. I’ve never been a huge fan of it personally. I tag all my TaixSummer stuff as Heatstroke.
