Without Interruptions

Toph and Katara are on the dance floor, their hips swaying to the music. Toph can feel the bass pump through her as she lifts her hands over her head when she feels large hands settle on her waist and a body press against her back.

"Can I join you?" a man yells in her ear. Toph doesn't answer, just continues to sway her hips to the beat. The man's hands start to roam her body and she can't help but close her eyes and lean her head back against his shoulder.

She feels someone close in on her front, and for a brief moment, she panics, thinking she's about to be abducted. "The guys are watching, you know," Katara's voice shouts over the music.

Toph feels Katara lean back and out of her space, but her hand continues to grip onto Toph's. A smile comes to her lips and she shrugs at her friend. So what if the guys are watching her? They should be proud of her for pulling some random without even having to speak a word to him.

They dance to a few more songs, her hand never letting go of Katara's even while the guy continues to feel her up. Eventually, Katara leans in close again, "Go to the bar with me. Now," and there's an insistent tug at her hand.

The smile drops from Toph's face as she's pulled after Katara. She can just barely hear the guy behind her say what the fuck, but the alcohol that is coursing through her system isn't allowing her to care very much right now.

They finally make it to the bar and Katara sets her hand on an empty stool, letting her know where she can sit. Pulling the stool out, she hops up onto it. "So, what the fuck was that for?" Toph asks, her voice has just a slight slur to it but she feels completely sober... which probably isn't a good thing.

"That guy had his hands on you in a way that..." Katara trails off. Toph thinks that she is just going to drop the subject when she hears Katara rattle off a drink order to someone. The bartender must have come up to take their order.

"Anyways. I could tell Aang was getting upset about it. You know, you should really watch how you flirt with other guys when he is around. Doesn't exactly go over his head or make him feel good."

Toph's brow furrows, "What do you mean?" Katara lifts Toph's hand and guides it forward and rests it against a cold glass. Lifting the drink to her lips, she takes a sip and is pleasantly surprised to find a sweet-tasting drink.

"I'm giving you a look right now. A 'You're fucking kidding' look."

"Why are you giving me a look? I didn't do anything! I can dance with whoever I want. What does Aang care? He should go out there and dance, too." She sips at her drink some more, an intrusive thought telling her to chug it all, but she knows better than that. She has no idea what kind of drink this is or what kind of alcohol is in it.

"Wow, you really don't see it, do you?" Katara says seriously.

"I don't see a lot of things," Toph says pointedly. She is about to ask Katara to elaborate a little when she feels a hand touch the small of her back. The person leans down a little and says in her ear, "Hey."

Smiling, Toph turns to face Aang. "Hey, Katara says you're upset about something. Care to clue me in?" Toph feels Aang move a little and a muffled yell and protest comes from Katara.

"I'm not upset," Aang says in her ear again. Usually, she would let it go, but there's something off in his voice that makes her hesitate. Before she can call him out on it, he moves away from her personal space so she can't ask him if she wants him to hear her.

"No, wait," she reaches out and grabs his arm. Her fingers touch the soft fabric of his shirt and instantly grips the material and pulls him back to her. She feels him stumble slightly as his foot hits her stool and his arms shoot out and kind of encircle her as they brace against the bar on either side of her. She can feel how close he is to her, she knows that if she were to turn her face, they'd practically be sharing the same breath. "Talk to me," she says at a normal level and she knows Aang can hear her.

For a moment, all she can feel is Aang's breath on her face and then a hand is grabbing hers and pulling her off her chair and away from the others. She lets him lead because A) she has no idea where he is wanting to go, B) there are way too many people here for her to navigate this place on her own, and C) she kind of likes the way his hand feels in hers.

Eventually, they clear the crowd and she hears a door being pushed open and she's pulled into a room. The door shuts behind her and the sound of the club is immediately muffled to a dull roar. "Are we in the bathroom?"

"You asked why I was upset," is all he says to her. Toph cocks her head a little bit at his tone. It sounds just a little bit sad with a hint of anger.

"Yeah. I mean, I had just talked to you before Katara and I had gone out to the dance floor and you were fine then."

He lets go of her hand and she hears him walk away for a second, he huffs out a breath and laughs a little, "Aang, what is it? Talk to me," she steps forward, her hand reaching out to feel for him, but he is just out of reach.

"I saw the way you were dancing with-" he cuts himself off, "With him," he finally spits out.

She begins to nod but stops herself. Why would he be upset about her dancing with someone? he's never been upset about that before, in fact, he used to make fun of her for it.

"I don't see what that has to do-" his hands come to her shoulders and she is roughly shoved against the wall.

She is just about to open her mouth to yell what the fuck, but she feels lips against her own. Soft lips. Lips that feel as if they are made just for her and for no one else. Her eyes are open wide and the shock is rolling off of her in waves.

Toph can feel Aang beginning to pull back from her, but she lifts her hands to his shoulders and pulls him tighter against her, and starts to kiss him back. She can feel the smile that pulls at his lips as his hands travel down to her hips to slip under her shirt, and runs his hands back up against her bare skin.

"You have no idea how badly I wanted to be the one out there with you. Having you grind against me," he growls out. He moves his lips down to her jaw and nips at the skin there as he makes a trial to her ear. "Seeing his hands on you," he sucks a bruise into her skin, just under her ear and she's having a hard time keeping track of this conversation, "I'm the only one who should be touching you like that."

He bends and grabs the back of her thighs, picking her up easily. He presses her against him and the wall and she wraps her legs around his waist. Placing her hand on the back of his head, she brings their lips back together, trying to kiss him, but one of his hands leaves her and travels up to her hair. He grips the strands and pulls her head back, exposing her neck. Aang attaches his mouth to her skin and sucks another mark into the hollow of her throat.

Toph is practically panting and a desperate whine leaves her lips when he runs his tongue over the mark he had just made and then nips at the skin.

He moves then, walking somewhere in the room, and places her down onto a counter. She can feel water on her thighs and seeping through her shorts, but she honestly can't bring herself to care when Aang presses himself harder against her, his mouth back on hers.

Toph wraps her arms around his neck and keeps him close to her, making sure his mouth isn't leaving hers anytime soon. His hands are gripping at the top of her hips and eventually slip up to dig into her hips.

He pulls her tighter against him and she can feel how hard he is against her inner thigh, and an uncharacteristic moan spills from her lips. Aang chuckles and rocks his hips into hers, trying to pull that sound from her again.

The sound of the door opening is what actually pulls them apart. Toph's head swivels towards the sound, but Aang just uses the opportunity to attach his mouth to the underside of her jaw.

"Jesus, Aang. Can we go somewhere else? Like, literally anywhere else where someone won't walk in on us?"

The kitchen counter at Aang's apartment is where she's shoved next. They had left the bar and hailed a cab, barely remembering to text their friends saying they were headed home for the night. The whole ride home, Aang's hand never left the upper part of Toph's thigh, and his promises were being whispered into her ear. By the time they climbed out of the taxi, Toph could practically feel herself dripping.

Aang had grabbed her hand in his and together, they all but ran up the stairs to his apartment complex, stopping every so often to kiss each other and giggle at how drunk the other was when they fell against the stairwell wall.

Toph is sure the plan was to make it to his bedroom, but they didn't get further than the kitchen, and the cool granite under her burning skin feels good. The whole ride here was a new type of foreplay that she isn't used to so she's almost begging by the time his fingers start fiddling with the hem of her shirt.

Aang's hands go down to the button on her shorts and pop it open and slowly slide down the zipper. Toph could practically cry with the relief of finally feeling them come off. He hooks his fingers in the waistband of both her shorts and panties and pulls them off all in one go.

She lifts her hips, trying to help as much as she can, but she's so fucking desperate. She's sure that she's creating more problems than she's helping because their heads bump together in a painful crash that leaves both of them rubbing their foreheads and giggling. Grabbing a hand to his cheek, she pulls him in again for a kiss. She continues to attempt to kick her shorts off the rest of the way but she feels them get caught on her heel, but she can't exactly bring herself to care. Especially when she feels his fingers beginning to creep along her hip and gently brush against her center.

She lets out a whimper at the same time Aang lets out a groan, "Fuck, T., you're so wet. How are you already this wet?" He pulls away from her, and Top is about to open her mouth to protest when she feels his hand cupping her ankle, pulling at her shorts where they got caught on her heels.

Taking in a deep shaky breath, Toph presses her head back against the cabinet and lets her eyes flutter closed at the feeling of his hands skimming up her legs and pushing her knees apart. She hears him take in a breath and can feel his exhale on the inside of her thighs.

"Sorry, guys. We'll leave you to it," Zuko says good-naturedly.

"Better fucking sanitize the counter-" she hears another slap, "Ow! Zuko what the fuck?!" their voices disappearing down the hall, and then the tale-tell sound of a door shutting.

Aang drops her down onto his bed and moves away from her to close the door to his bedroom. "Fucking lock it. I don't think I can handle another interruption." Laughing, he twists the lock and even tries the door to make sure it's locked fully.

He moves back towards the bed and she feels it dip when he places a knee onto it as he starts to crawl over her. Laying her head back onto the pillows, she feels Aang wrap his arms around her thighs as he settles himself between them after taking off her heels.

Toph sucks in a shaky breath as she waits to feel his mouth on her. It feels like forever has passed before his tongue barely presses against her in a kitten lick. Arching up off the bed, she reaches down and threads her fingers through his hair, pulling at it, trying to actually get him closer, to use some kind of pressure.

She feels more than hears him laugh, but the next pass with his tongue is firmer and actually spreads her lips and grazes her clit. "Jesus, are you desperate or something?" he laughs.

Once he is free of his shirt, she takes his face back in her hands and brings his forehead down to rest against hers, "Yes, very much so," she breathes. Toph smiles a little shyly but when she lifts her chin searching for his lips, he immediately grants them to her.

Aang smirks and aims for that spot with each thrust. Toph buries her face in his shoulder, trying to smother the noises that leave her, but even so, she is really loud. He can feel his release starting to build but before he can say anything to Toph, to warn her, she clenches around him so tight.

She bites down on his shoulder as her orgasm tears through her. Aang continues to push into her at a brutal pace, helping her through it. The fluttering of her walls around him triggers his own release and just as she is coming down, his climax comes. He fully thrusts into her three more times, milking it for all its worth before he slowly and gradually comes to a stop.

Both of them are breathing hard, Toph with her face buried in his shoulder and Aang trying to hold himself up over her so he doesn't squish her. Gently, he pulls out of her and he can feel her flinch and her legs automatically close when he is out of the way.

Dropping down onto his side, his breaths still coming heavy, he looks at Toph and sees that her eyes are still closed and her eyebrows drawn together. He stays like this, watching her for a while. Eventually, she opens her eyes and turns to face him, a smile on her face.

"How long have you been wanting to do that?" she asks.

Aang can't help but laugh at the pure delight on her face and he leans over and kisses her. He can feel her smile against him as he gently cups her face and brings her closer to him.

When they finally break apart, she tucks her head into the crook of his neck and slings a leg over his hips. "Hope you don't mind that I'm staying the night," she whispers.

"No, I don't mind at all."

Toph wakes up to warmth at her back and an insistent hardness poking at her ass. She immediately smiles as she remembers that Aang is behind her and that it's his morning wood rising to meet her. She wiggles her hips a little and unconsciously, Aang bucks into her.

Giggling a little, she turns around in his arms and nuzzles her face into his chest. Hearing a hum rumble in his chest, she looks up at him. "Good morning," he says, his voice deep with sleep and makes a fire burn in between her legs.

Dropping her face back to his chest, she bites back a smile and says, "Good morn-" she is cut off by a shriek that is heard from outside his room.

The pair of them pull back from each other and look towards the door as if it will give them some kind of answer. A moment later, a banging is heard on said door followed by, "Aang, I swear to fuck, if you don't get out here and disinfect this fucking counter!"

Aang ship HC: Puppy Eyes

Zukaang: Zuko gives Aang anything he wants anyway, the only time the puppy eyes come out is when Aang's done something stupid and Knows It and is trying to avoid a lecture. It usually works.

Kataang: Katara is the most resistant but she also loves the puppy eye look and it absolutely makes her melt, she's just still going to stand her ground. She can be in love and still tell him that No he cannot adopt ten more lemurs bc he found a flock of them. It's like 50/50 on whether it'll work or not, however even when it doesn't work, it at least gets her to compromise.

Sokkaang: Sokka is the most suspectable and Aang is vicious about it. Bad idea? Puppy eyes. He did something stupid? Puppy eyes. Prank? Puppy eyes. Works every time. Sokka is so fucking sick of it. (Whenever Sokka complains though Aang just starts listing all of the stupid shit Sokka has pulled)

Taang: Toph can't see them so they don't work, instead Aang takes to pitifully laying on the ground when he wants something. Toph thinks it's dumb af and it's even dumber that it actually works sometimes. He's too soft for her to deny ksbdkdn

Just for fun, here are my rapid fire rambling thoughts on the ATLA ships and platonic dynamics hehe (please don’t go full ship wars tho - these are just my opinions as a chill multishipper!)

My Favorite Ships:

• Zukka - My current brainrot and main ship!! I know they aren’t canon but I really love them and their potential okay😭I just feel like their personalities would work so well! Sokka would call Zuko on his shit and Zuko would be good at grounding Sokka when he needs it. Plus I have seen some absolutely breathtaking AUs with this ship! And fire-and-ice vibes except gay! Them <3

• Kataang - Cutiessss!! I love them! They may not be the ship I think about most often, but when I do think about them, they’re adorable! Aang is such a “my wife” guy and Katara absolutely adores him back! Also the last airbender x last southern waterbender dynamic goes HARD! I like that these two are canon!

• Yuetara - Listen I know they barely interacted but THEY’VE ACTUALLY GROWN ON ME SO MUCH LATELY AND I VERY HIGH KEY SHIP THEM! Something about like, Katara thinking about Yue when she bends is so😭Their story would be heartbreaking in the best way!! Sapphic noncanon blorbos <3

• Mailee - These two are SO cute and have so much potential rahhh!! Again, love some noncanon sapphics <3

• Batkoda - Super SUPER cute and silly and fun! The dads fr <3 Bato is either Katara and Sokka’s adopted uncle or their stepdad and I love it for them hehe! This usually pairs well with a “Hakoda adopts Zuko” AU lmao!

Other Canon/Relatively Popular Ships:

• Zutara - A pretty good ship! I see the potential and tbh it’s very very fun to think about sometimes!!! However, some of y’all toxic Zutara stans need to leave my boy Aang alone lmao. Those who are chill tho, I rock with y’all!! Overall, I’m not opposed if it’s done well and I do occasionally seek out Zutara content! I personally do prefer seeing/writing them as found siblings tho, especially with the Azula and Katara parallels!!

• Sukka - Canon cuties!! I really like them! Suki my BELOVED <3 She’s so underrated!

• Yukka - Also canon cuties! They make me sad tho ahhhhh😭😭😭

• Maiko - Also ALSO canon cuties!! They have an interesting dynamic that I can really appreciate! And gotta love Mai <3

• Jinko - Jin my beloved! These two had a super cute dynamic during the one episode they had together lmaoooo, tho I don’t think about this ship too too often.

• Tokka - I don’t mind it if it’s them getting together as adults! But tbh I personally don’t prefer shipping them as teens and I think Toph’s crush was just a typical young girl crush on someone slightly older lol. Definitely not horrible and most Tokka shippers are relatively chill! I like to think Sokka sees Toph as a little sister tho.

• Zukki (Zuko/Sokka/Suki) - Power throuple fr and I love some polyamory!! While I mostly lean plain Zukka, this is extremely fun to think about and would be a great dynamic!

• Mai/Ty Lee/Suki - Saw this in a Zukka fic once and it was adorableeeeee! I may not have plans to actively write this or anything, but it’s cute! Another power throuple!

• Jetko - I don’t think they would be compatible long term, but by god they are very very fun to think about in a “Jet flirts with Zuko and Zuko is completely oblivious and they share one kiss before everything goes to shit” way lmao!

• Taang - I can respect it!! I will always love them as chaos siblings personally, but it’s a totally valid and chill ship!

• Katoph - Not a bad ship at all! I’ve only come across like one post tho lmao. Also I do think I heavily prefer them as found sisters, but that’s just me personally! Again, totally a valid and chill ship!

• Azutara - I’m very neutral on this lmao. I don’t despise it at all and it could be pretty interesting?? But tbh really not something I plan to seek out.

• Azulaang - I mean?? I’m also pretty neutral on this one. Aang would be kind to her if she was trying to get help but…idk lmao.

• Tyzula - I see the potential, but I personally think Mai and Ty Lee had a healthier and more interesting and more realistic dynamic. Just my preference tho!

(I think I just want Azula to be in therapy before I reallyyyyy ship her lmao, but NOT THE KIND OF “THERAPY” SHE WAS GIVEN IN THE COMICS)

• Zukaang - I don’t love this as a ship honestly. The canon age gap as teens is sketchy for my personal taste, tho I’ve seen people ship them in “Aang was 16 when he got frozen” AUs and that’s…better and I can get behind it a little! It would be interesting! But I think Roku being Zuko’s great-grandpa just still throws me off of this ship. I don’t have any beef with the shippers tho! I’m very “live and let live” and I have seen so much worse lol.

Can’t Forget My Fav Platonic Dynamics!

• Sokka and Aang - Two found brothers who share one idiot braincell when they interact LMAO! Love them always <3

• Sokka and Katara - The siblings ever!!

• Zuko and Aang - Enemies to found brothers!! Canon besties! I love their friendship and their parallels SO MUCH!!

• Toph and Katara - Absolutely ADORABLE as found sisters!!!! Love them!

• Zuko and Katara - I really like their development in a platonic sense and I think they’re very very fun and lovely found siblings by the end!!!! Zuko is 100% the brother that just “yeah my sister can and will whoop your ass” LMAO!

• Zuko and Toph - Also very found siblings in my head!! Only have a handful of solo interactions in canon but I DON’T CARE! I WILL FOUND FAMILY THEM ANYWAY! I’m a “Toph seeks out Zuko for sibling hugs/cuddles when she’s cold because he’s basically a space heater” truther.

• Uncle Iroh and the Gaang - Zuko needs to learn to share because that is ALL OF THEIR Uncle!!!

• Hakoda and Zuko - I thrive in this section of the fandom!! They have exactly one (1) frame together in canon, but I ADORE Dadkoda adopting Zuko! Something about it is just so wholesome and cute!!! My very very fav ATLA fics are this trope!!#LetHakodaBitchSlapOzaiAndAdoptZuko2024

• Uncle Iroh and Zuko - God they make me so ALSNDKSNXNCNSNSNXNX, y’know?

• The Gaang as a whole - Obvious I know, but I really do love them😭They all bonded sm and I adore their little family!! I eat up fanart of the Gaang cuddling like CANDY omg. And yes Suki is included in the Gaang because WHY WOULDN’T SHE BE!

Korrasami isn't perfect and it's not one of my favorites, but it will always be better than Kataang for me. They didn't have to dumb down or regress Korra or Asami's characters to make it work, their ending leaves a lot more room for growth and relationship development than Kataang does, and Asami wasn't presented as Korra's prize for being the hero. They both get to keep their autonomy.

It also doesn't feel one-sided. It feels like two women who are not only coming to terms with their sexuality, but also relatively new feelings for one another and exploring that together. I wish more people understood that

AGREED. Just because they’re both canon ships doesn’t mean they’re alike. I mean Korra had gone through some serious shit and had been held responsible for her actions way more than Aang ever was, so Korrasami was never going to have that “Perfect Avatar and Doting Girlfriend” dynamic. Unlike Aang, Korra was narratively not rewarded for liking someone and acting like she’s entitled to them just because she’s the Avatar. Unlike Aang, Korra actually undergoes an evolution in how she interacts with her love interest’s parental trauma and learns to be a better friend. Neither Korra nor Asami pushed for a relationship or tried to win the other over, even though they realized their feelings way before they got together. Like you said, it feels a lot more mutual. Imo, Korrasami was better written than Ka/taang even though it had way less development, because — probably due to 2010s Nick censorship — they couldn’t resort to will-they won’t-they romance tropes that send conflicting messages about what the characters want and what is good for them. Most of their romantic development had to be platonic in nature, and Bryke are much better at writing meaningful platonic relationships than romantic ones, so this worked out in Korrasami’s favour.

In some ways, Korrasami actually reminds me a little bit of Sukka. Like Suki, Asami is super competent, super gorgeous, and didn’t need to compromise herself for this relationship, though she did have to teach some lessons to her eventual partner. Asami was never set up as a deuteragonist (unlike Katara) and I don’t mind her narrative weight being tied to that of her love interest, especially since — as previously stated — much of that romantic development was platonic.

ok ik the LA showrunners did say they added "hints" with k*taang but.............is it just me or did that entire post come off like "yes we know thats how the og went but frankly im just happy we didnt mess with that shit rn" ??? like of course they know what the og did and of course they were probably gonna do k*taang down the line otherwise the fandom would probably do some really crazy boycotting bs like nowhere in that post did it seem like the showrunners were excited to adapt k*taang or excited to come across a better time to properly handle it??? especially since they went OUT OF THEIR WAY TO REMOVE EVERY SINGLE CANONICAL OG K*TAANG SCENE in the live action oh uh the post in question

i also noticed the slight contradiction of "we did little hints in this season, especially at the end" and "I was very relieved to put a pin in it so i wouldn't have to deal with it in the first season" ehehehe i understand liking any bits of confirmation but truthfully, nothing about this makes me super confident that the showrunners have any desire to do k*taang properly? or that they even want to do it

my main ships besides zutara would probably be sukka, mailee and taang. those are my absolute favourites, but i'm okay with a wide variety of atla ships besides kat.aang, mai.ko and inc*st/p*do ships, so i also enjoy content from sokkla, tyzula, tyaang, teoaang, sukitara, yuetara, and azutara. i'm not super picky lol.

taang: they’re just perfect. they can have fun together, but toph still challenges aang and doesn’t let him get away with shit. aang is the one to give her freedom and encourages her not to let her parents stifle her. they’re AIR AND EARTH, elemental opposites who work beautifully together, and he SEES HER IN THE SWAMP where you only see people you loved and lost so hello reincarnation trope and just... ugh. taang would’ve given them both character growth and development, and the symbolism is god tier, so really what don’t they have?

The original script adds so much context for a lot of scenes, but this one?

Zuko didn’t just start sleeping next to Katara because he wanted to be close to her. He also wanted to be close enough to protect her from another ambush and bomb attack.

And Katara could sleep with a smile on her face because she knew Zuko would be there to protect her. Zuko gave her the opportunity to sleep without being alert 100% of the time for the first time in probably forever…

Honestly it’s not surprising that Zutar@ manages to fuck up and be annoying to ships that commit the crime of ‘getting in their way’. But it also treats the ships they claim to like along with their own as garbage as well.

I’m talking of course about Taang and Sukka.

I genuinely like Taang myself. A lot actually. At points it’s even my favourite Atla ship.

But you can really really tell when someone doesn’t ship it because they like both Toph and Aang as characters and find their dynamics and backgrounds and even potential spiritual links interesting: but are instead using it as an excuse to get Aang out of the way.

Their barely hidden contempt for Aang especially when they spout tripe like ‘Toph wouldn’t take any crap from him’ . All while posting a fic scenario which has Aang, someone who genuinely tries to understand people most of the time and even has a genuine religious philosophy: instead seem to have an understanding about friendship or forgiveness more akin to a three year old. Or like has shit like momtara and dadko scenarios (excuse me while I throw up) where he sneaks off to date Toph as if he had to ask these KIDS his PEERS his FRIENDS for permission in their deranged nuclear family take on the gaang. Yeah it was a ‘joke’ but they actually think of the gaang as working that way. Fucking straightest fandom imaginable frankly. Can’t think of dynamics in any other way without making some kids into the mother and father.

Because to them Katara and Zuko are 40 to Aang’s 12 I guess. Sure. 👌 Zuko who is ultimately and obviously the least mature member of the gaang. Katara who enjoys having fun and needs to be reconnected to being a kid again and gets that from Aang in the first episode. Sure. Sure. They can’t even fucking have Katara and Aang be the equals and friends they are.

Overall it really makes them show their ass when they attempt to spew out how much better it would be for Aang to be with Toph and this happens. It’s extremely frustrating trying to find Taang content sometimes because for every genuinely good piece you find there’s like five or more of this utter garbage. It leaves me cold honestly. I’m not sure how a genuine Taang shipper could not have at least some contempt for the louder parts of the Zk fandom.

Sukka doesn’t get it much better, though at least they don’t seem to hate one or more of its members. I have to admit I’m not really a fan of Sukka myself. I don’t hate it. The opposite actually. I don’t generally have any strong feelings one way or the other. It’s perfectly inoffensive but I’m not really into it.

But it’s kind of amazing that Zk fans try to say it’s ‘the only good canon ship’ when they make basically next to no art or fics of it apart from being heavily heavily in the background or in group shots.

It’s not the only ‘group ship’ fandom guilty of this mind you. Not even just in this fandom. Hell, arguably and oddly not even the only group that does this with Sukka.

But it’s fucking hilarious how full of shit they are. They don’t make any actual content of it! They don’t actually care for it any more than I do! It just doesn’t get in the way so they leave it alone except to use it to make posts to shit on the (lbr more interesting) Kataang and Maiko. Wild. I mean I don’t care for Tokka much either which sometimes gets thrown in as Maiko and Kataangs group: but at least people seem to actually and genuinely like that ship and have made content for it.

I just sometimes think about when Sokka says ‘You talk too much’ before kissing Suki: which in context isn’t anything to be mad at, clearly. But we all know it would have gotten Aang eviscerated by them if he’d said it to Katara in the exact same context.

Also ZKs would be crowing with glee that ‘See!!! Zuko can’t stand anything coming out of her rancid mouth!!! She’s so abusive!!! He kisses her to shut her up!!!!’ If Zuko had said it to Mai. You’re not slick. You’re not clever. Everyone can see the truth. Sukka is a prop to you and nothing more.

Leave Taang and Sukka out of your ship posts when it’s clear to everyone with a brain cell that you don’t care anything about them. They deserve better. Or at least Taang does. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a single person for whom Sukka is the ultimate ride or die OTP. But they probably exist you know? It’s a decently sized fandom after all. They’re unfortunately probably buried by all your garbage hot takes. And even if I don’t care for it, you’re probably fucking up what could be a fun experience for them.
