TRM Round 1: T. Rex the band vs. Prehistoric Park (Matilda)
T. Rex the band – Though not really a T. rex (and incorrectly capitalized), this English band from the 1970s still warrants inclusion for their pioneering of glam rock and hit songs like “Ride a White Swan” and “Get it On.” Other than the fact that they began as Tyrannosaurus Rex and later shortened the name to T. Rex, I can find nothing on why the name was chosen. Maybe Marc Bolan just liked dinosaurs.
Prehistoric Park (Matilda) – In true Tyrannosaurus form, Matilda makes herself a menace in the otherwise peaceful, if chaotic, sanctuary for prehistoric life. Not content to only attack her brother, Terrence, Matilda breaks out yet again in the final episode, threatening Head Keeper Bob and many of the other animals. Her rampage is thwarted by Martha the mammoth, who defends a baby elephant, and Nigel, who manages to lead her back to containment.
