X-14 aka Olivia Hope Howlett, Logan's biological daughter. And yes, I am aware that Honey Badger exists, but Liv takes place exclusively in the filmverse of X-Men. I gave Liv the hero name of "Badger" because she's more like a badger than a female wolverine like Laura. This is also why she doesn't have claws on her feet.

I have a Marvel / Heroes (NBC) crossover because I am mentally ill and these things work well together, especially with the X-Men storylines. Liv is an X-Man and the art teacher at the institute, which is just Liv's base story with or without Heroes. Olivia becomes involved with the whole storyline of Heroes because she and Melanie (YES, MY OTHER MARVEL BABY MAKES A RETURN!!!!!!!!!) live in the same apartment complex as Peter Petrelli and she (Olivia) becomes romantically involved with him.

Olivia may be a hero in appearance and name, but she's morally gray because she doesn't care about morality. She cares about survival. She protects the innocent and murders the guilty, because she isn't afraid due to the blood already on her hands. Also, much like Laura, Olivia casually steals stuff. Small things, but still. Does she have money? Yes. But Liv says "fuck capitalism", as we all should.

Liv becomes the basically unstoppable force to be reckoned with when it comes to her going up against Sylar, because she can't be scared by him due to being a literal weapon created by a separate Weapon X program. While she may have not been raised in it as Laura had due to being saved at 5 years old by Logan, she still retained what they had taught her and she is still full of metal (no. we will not think too deeply about it.)

She isn't actually unstoppable, of course, but she does make the enemy's life so much harder because unlike the other evolved humans, Olivia is full of metal and rage. Plus, she's Logan's daughter, so we all know that means that she can and WILL murder. Which she does, but only in dire situations.

Anyways... I'll make better pictures later of Olivia. Right now it's midnight and I need to sleep. Because I'm eepy.

when I start talking about the 1999 Pangea Software game 'Bugdom,' which was the only videogame me & my sister were ever allowed growing up 😂

oh, Oh, OH! No, yeah, and Season 4 of Heroes, which most people seem to cite as the worst one, but I think it's the best it got since season one. Obviously season 2 and 3 got affected by the writers strike, so the storylines got kinda whack, but I think season 4 was where it was just on the cusp of recovering what it used to be, plus Samuel was a cool villain, and it was refreshing for them not to be fighting Sylar for once. Certainly not as good as Season 1, but I still really enjoyed it

And for the sake of the sake, I'll shout out The World's End too, final movie in the Cornetto Trilogy, it is in-cred-i-ble and not enough people gave it a second, or frankly even a first chance

ok i got some stuff for this one. Our history teacher at school, everyone else seemed to love him, I couldn't stand him and I'm failry sure he didn't like me either. Also lamb as a meat, since childhood it's made me feel sick, and whenever I bring it up people act like it's crazy, everyone acts like it's the god of meats, whereas i know the truth that it is by far the worst of them.

oh and also, just sports, like, in general, playing/watching/anything it's just never appealed to me in any way, i don't get it. I am basically this gif of moss from the IT Crowd:

One major thing that struck me in season 1 of my Heroes rewatch is that SO MANY characters in the show kind of baby Peter in really gross ways once you think about them. It's... very familiar treatment, I'm sure, to anyone who's neurodivergent or struggled with mental illness. That sort of condescending way people coo and think you’re adorably incompetent or something like that.

Talking about how Peter is going to hurt himself and others with his behavior, acting like he's incapable of taking care of himself, etc., etc.

From my memories it does get BETTER past the first season, but uhhhh... I don't think it ever fully disappears from how other characters treat Peter.

And yeah, into the third season (I skipped the second) and getting to Dual... yeah, Nathan says Peter has a habit of letting others down in a way in this really kind of patronizing way.

And also in Dual, I find it interesting that when Angela said, “My sons have been disappointments and I wanted another chance. I wanted to give you a mother’s love.” Sylar’s lie-detecting ability only goes off with the second part, suggesting she honestly does consider her sons disappointments (at least at that moment in time).

Heck, even future!Peter kind of treats his past self like this (a sad commentary on how this has been internalized)... I get it’s all part of the kind of crazy sequence of events needed to get Peter to the future, but MAN does it say something about how he sees himself that he just shoves Past Peter into another person’s body to get himself out of the way.

But I remember that one post about how part of the appeal of Enemies to Lovers is that frequently the enemies relationship has to involve some kind of RESPECT, and I think that really applies to Petlar. Or at least Petlar as a functional relationship.

When Sylar has underestimated Peter in canon, he's paid for it dearly (looking at you, S3 finale). I think a post-S4 Sylar is anything from amused to annoyed by people who try to infantilize Peter, as he knows damn well by this point what the man is capable of.

Just imagine some character, cooing over Peter like a baby in a pram, while Sylar is flashbacking to the Nail Gun Incident.

1. Lex Luthor (Smallville): he is my number one boy, my sunshine, my silly little rabbit, my baby boy who did nothing wrong ever 🥺

2. Sylar/Gabriel Gray (Heroes): my dad and also literally me

3. Dexter Morgan (Books, mostly): the cool and fun uncle I've never had. Depressed dumbass. Not a single thought behind those eyes. Fueled by sarcasm.

4. Monday (OC) : Angel (literally), right-hand of my other OC Elizabeth. He is very mom and likes to bake cookies and takes care of people. Speaks very softly and likes to sing and play classic instruments. Might explode and do something bad if you push enough buttons. (He looks mostly like Paul Dano in that Sia Bird Set Free video that played on tours)

5. Elizabeth Gray (OC): The Mary Sue of All Time. Heir of the Christian God. Basically. I make her suffer a lot. Has a deep all consuming fear of being alone. Because of that she collects favorite living beings like a mother hen and keeps them warm under her wings. WILL explode planet earth if you hurt them. Looks like a female Gabriel Gray. Because, uh, that's his daughter. VERY TALL WOMAN. Very androgynous. Has great biceps.

1) that no one will want to read it 😂 2) typos I didn't discover after a million proofreads 😂 😂 3) trying to find places to crosspost and actually remembering to cross-post. So people are more likely to know that I actually Finished A Thing in case it happens to be something they'd like to read. 😅😅😅 I remember it being less stressful to post things and move on, but also my memory during those years actually wasn't very reliable since I was not healthy. But also I was making and posting vids rather than fic. I'm a lot more confident in my vids than my since I went so long without writing. Atrophied creative muscle and all. But! Baby steps. Write the things, post about the things so people know I am having MANY THOUGHTS ABOUT ALL THE THINGS. Then post the things when they're done! Move on to the next WIP. It's a process, right? I want work on posting about the things some more, heh.

🎀 give yourself a compliment about your own writing I’m a very visual and sensory-oriented writer. Mood and atmosphere is my bread and butter. Always has been. Here’s an example: the opening from a Heroes fic I wrote over a decade ago (omg what is time):

The tightness in Mohinder’s chest wasn’t from the excruciating heat and humidity of the everglades, though warm sweat trickled down his neck and back. It was fear. Mohinder tried to swallow the lump in his throat when he raised his hands and made a conscious effort to fill his lungs, finding himself weaponless and without backup. Again. He was in no condition for another face-off with Sylar.

i wanna ask you more, i like getting your mini ted talks. what are your thoughts on sylar/peter as a ship? i personally don’t really see it in the show, but i’ve read some real good fics with them.

Hahaha omg I love you anon I’m glad someone enjoys hearing my unhinged rants about this show…

Soooo. Maybe the girlies will hate me for this one lol. Thing is, I can see how sylar/peter would lend itself to having some good fics written about it. Like, the concept is there, it has potential. The foundations for a good hero/villain ship are there, they are definitely set up as foils and parallels to each other, they have the whole ‘two sides of a coin’ thing going on. But like you, I don’t really see it in the show at all. It’s like they had the potential but didn’t actually execute it/make me give a fuck about it/make me remotely want to ship it, lol.

It is/was a popular ship in heroes fandom (lol heroes fandom in 2024 is like 12 people but hey) and I do see why for the above reasons. I actually think the episode ‘the wall’ is a great concept but again, they don’t sell me on it/execute it well/actually follow through on making me remotely believe they’d become friends by the end. Right before they break out, having spent what was apparently like 10 years of mind-time together in there or whatever, Peter still hates his guts and wants to smash his head in with a sledgehammer lmao?? (I mean girl same. The whole ‘peter has to forgive sylar, narratively and kind of literally, if he wants to escape the mind prison’ plot point grinds my gears. I think he should get to never forgive him ever for killing Nathan if he doesn’t want to lmao. Shout out to that one fan panel with Milo where he’s like ‘peter would never forgive him he would eviscerate him’ king you are speaking my fucking language lol. I digress.) like afterwards I can buy that sylar has latched onto Peter and wants to be his friend/wants Peter to like, model being a good person for him, but not that Peter actually gives a shit in return or wants anything to do with him lol

(Sidenote, that in itself is a rly interesting concept, and me and @buildarocketboys developed a fic idea about peter agreeing to like, ‘mentor’ sylar and hang out with him but if and only if he kept shapeshifting back into Nathan for him. Now THAT is fucked up and deranged and the good stuff and actually makes me, avowed sylar disliker, feel kinda sorry for the guy lol. Yessss let me marinate in the badwrongness of all of that and how Peter is the one acting fully insane. Anyway. I digress once more.)

Anyway I’m clearly also biased bc I used to like sylar as a character back in the day but sometime over my like 4 rewatches over the last few years he really started pissing me off lol. Now it’s not like I’m being an anti about him being an evil villain or anything, I love a problematic king and I’m a Nathan stan lmao. In fact I only really enjoy sylar when he is getting to be a proper fun cackling all-out villain, he’s actually enjoyable and funny in that mode. It’s the like 9 flip-flopped badly written redemption arcs they keep trying to give him like they’re trying to make me feel sorry for him bc his dad sold him to one direction or whatever, but sorry!! I feel nothing! He’s a whiny bitch and they should have just let him be killed off one of the first 900 times it nearly happened! I don’t have any sympathy and he’s completely lost me lol. So yeah. That does make me biased plus being a Petrellicest girlie and a Nathan stan and an Elle stan sorry I selfishly won’t forgive him for killing them 😔 poor baby serial killer I’m being such a mean hater. Stan my absolutely fucking awful morally confused self hating politician guy instead loooool

Well. All that to say that I see why people ship it, it has interesting foundations that could have led to something good but IMO it just didn’t, I can definitely imagine it has some good fic out there that can sell you on it, but I just don’t see their great poetic love or whatever. It’s soooo ‘baby’ ‘fellow associate’ core by the end lmao. And it actively annoys me. But I am just being a hater I know. Sorry to the cool petlars out there it’s all hashtag my opinion

Niki is injected with the Shanti virus. She returns to Micah but at the end she dies in a fire :(

Sylar kills Alejandro and Maya but she survives thanks to Claire’s blood

Kensei/Adam is the one who killed Kaito Nakamura and wants to release the Shanti virus

Peter believed Adam was a good person until Nathan tells him the truth

The parents created the company

Hiro buries Adam alive to stop him

Peter destroys the virus

Nathan is shot when he was about to tell the press about the people with abilities

SEASON 3

Future Peter in the one who shot Nathan

Sylar takes Claire’s healing ability

Mohinder injects himself to have an ability but he starts to become a monster

Tracy Strauss discovers she and Niki were related, she meets Micah

Angela and Arthur Petrelli trick Sylar into thinking he’s their son

In the future, Peter gains Sylar’s ability and has “the hunger”

Nathan becomes congressman again and allies with Tracy

Arthur is the villain and he kills Adam by stealing his powers

Parkman and Daphne fall in love

Arthur steals Peter’s and Hiro’s powers

Sylar and Elle have a weird yet cute relationship but eventually he kills her

Thanks to the formula, Ando now has an ability, Peter regains his powers and Mohinder gets better

Sylar holds Claire, Noah, Meredith and Angela hostages, resulting in Meredith burning Primatech

Nathan starts an initiative to chase and lock people with abilities

Rebel aka Micah contacts Claire and persuades her to help the people the government is chasing

Daphne is shot and dies with Parkman by her side

Sylar goes on a road trip with Luke to find his father

Hiro gets his powers back after rescuing Parkman’s baby

Sylar is now a shapeshifter

Nathan dies and only Angela, Noah and Parkman know that Sylar is alive and he’s taking Nathan’s place

SEASON 4

Claire goes to college and meets Gretchen

Peter works as a paramedic

Hiro discovers he’s dying so he decides to fix the mistakes of his life

Sylar is trapped in Parkman’s head

Peter meets Emma who can see sounds

Samuel runs a mysterious carnival

Gretchen kisses Claire and admits she has a crush

Sylar arrives to the carnival with Nathan’s memories

Hiro goes back in time to save Charlie

Peter helps Emma accept her ability

Sylar reunites with his body

Angela tells the truth about Nathan and Sylar over thanksgiving

Nathan decides to die and Peter suffers a lot

Claire stays in the carnival for a while

Sylar asks Claire for help

Samuel uses his powers and buries the entire town

Hiro is saved thanks to his mother

Peter and Sylar bond after being trapped together

Samuel moves the Carnival to New York to kill millions using Emma’s powers

Noah and Claire are buried by Samuel, Tracy saves them

Sylar saves Emma and becomes a hero

Claire shows her ability to the press, It’s the beginning of a brave new world
