Star Wars Unlimited dropped, a new card game, and my husband got us a prerelease set (maybe after hiding a set behind the counter at work, maybe, no one knows). It looks good, I have my favourite Imperial men available to be the Leaders of the deck, but there's not enough cards to make a working deck.
On first glance it feels very Yu-Gi-Oh, or even more like Duel Masters with it's resource system. I really like the Aspect system, most cards have one or two, showing their motivation or philosophy. All three cards shown have villainy, as is expected from Imperials, and Krennick has Vigilance, Tarkin Command, and Thrawn Cunning. Other Aspects are Heroism and Aggression. I love flavour in games, something small to get attached to, like I do with Magic, often making decks around a theme.
I still have to try and play it, but it seems pretty simple when it comes to the rules. I'm not too keen on getting competitive with the game, too socially anxious for that, but it might be fun with friends from time to time.
