so as far as im concerned nothing past kotet exists to me

#swtor #there is no reason to spend 3 expansions having our character build up an entire third superpower in the galaxy-#-only to then force you to choose to bend knee to either the corrupt republic that tried to assassinate you-#-or the empire that is run by sith lords lol #like 'i know weve made you into a major leader that is on the same level as the empress and chancellor but fuck you be subservient again'#there is literally nothing that can convince me that any character would give up the eternal alliance to play lapdog again #dark side would enjoy the power that comes with the eternal fleet and light side would see there's more good to be done with the alliance #its stupid and forced and only serves to force players to backtrack character progression for no reason #swtor kotfe #swtor kotet

I know there are others online, but I always felt like I couldn't quite do what I wanted to on those. this should scratch that particular itch

Man, Knights of the Fallen Empire was shaping up to be interesting until they made the epic moral of the story "Gray Jedi" nonsense.

For one thing am I seriously meant to believe that Valkorian/Vitiate is actually "gray" when the dude ate a freaking planet and everyone on it to empower himself? Even if doing so "opened his eyes" in some way, if it moved him toward the light at all he'd be wracked with guilt over it and not be apathetic.

If he is, in fact, "gray" why the heck would anyone want anything to do with grayness ever again?

Second of all the writers clearly didn't put much thought behind it other than "Saying that the MC's mastered the Force is cool" so they stitched it on. Like, I've played through the whole quest with Satele and Marr and have no idea what the heck they're trying to teach you apart from, I guess, the necessity of having power for the sake of defeating Valkorian and to just, be sure of yourself in a general sense.

I think it'd have been far more narratively satisfying if, to defeat Valkorian, you're given the choice to either fully embrace the light through Satele's teachings, or to become a monster like Valkorian through Marr's teachings. It'd feel like a culmination of all the light side/dark side choices you made throughout the story.

But no, I guess if you just say you're not following either you suddenly become a super being capable of controlling the entire universe or something.

I started Kotfe after finishing the f2p Swtor storyline, i met Lana and Theron previously in Shadows of Revan and like, why did no one tell me about what happens in Kotfe oh my god, like, I *might* have flirted with Theron before Kotfe and, colour me surprised when i checked my mail and i find a letter of both Theron and Vector basically telling me they miss me I'm going to cry
