Here’s another post on how TCW did Anidala and Hayden and Natalie dirty. Let’s compare the expressions of the characters and how the show and movies each portray the same couple.
This is Anakin at his worst when he has killed children and many more and then felt betrayed by Padme and IS capable of hurting her at the moment.
This is how you react when you get deeply hurt by someone you love:
Not this:
And these are small arguments compared to mass murder and betrayal. Is this what love is supposed to look like? Rather than this:
You are vulnerable when you are in love and you aren’t afraid to show it. It’s not about only spending time together (something they argue about in TCW). It implies unhealthy codependence.
These two should just get a divorce because their marriage is a raging dumpster fire of clinginess, pettiness, anger issues and incompatibility. I don’t blame people for thinking they are toxic and dysfunctional because that’s what they are in the show. This is definitely not love that I’m seeing and attachment certainly has no capability to redeem anyone.
That is not to say all TCW Anidala moments are horrible but their interactions are so watered down it isn’t very convincing. It looks like attachment. Not love that can ignite the stars. One can argue it isn’t “realistic” and all couples have fights and it’s Anidala in their worst moments but can it really get worse than Mustafar? And is star wars supposed to be realistic when its creator said it’s a fairytale and a soap opera about family? Is it supposed to portray real world relationships which is not even relevant to the theme and message of the story? In contrast, look at how the movies and the OG clone wars portray love:
Regardless of your feelings on the couple, there is no mistaking the love in their eyes and expressions. They had different upbringings but Anakin in AOTC novelization still tries to find similarities and common grounds with her whereas TCW highlights their differences and portrays it as incompatibility.
Padme in TCW: I just know I’m not happy anymore (with you). I don’t feel safe.
Padme in ROTS novelization: For Padmé Amidala, saying I am Anakin Skywalker’s wife is saying neither more nor less than I am alive. Her life before Anakin belonged to someone else, some lesser being to be pitied, some poor impoverished spirit who could never suspect how profoundly life should be lived. Her real life began the first time she looked into Anakin Skywalker’s eyes and found in there not the uncritical worship of little Annie from Tatooine, but the direct, unashamed, smoldering passion of a powerful Jedi...
But though she loves her husband without reservation, love does not blind her to his faults. She is older than he, and wise enough to understand him better than he does himself. He is not a perfect man: he is prideful, and moody, and quick to anger—but these faults only make her love him the more, for his every flaw is more than balanced by the greatness within him, his capacity for joy and cleansing laughter, his extraordinary generosity of spirit, his passionate devotion not only to her but also in the service of every living being. He is a wild creature who has come gently to her hand, a vine tiger purring against her cheek. Every softness of his touch, every kind glance or loving word is a small miracle in itself. How can she not be grateful for such gifts?
It’s sad that a lot of people are under the impression that TCW ‘saved’ Anidala when all it did was take away the pure unadulterated love Anakin and Padme shared for each other.

Ok so no one ever really talks about this in the SW fandom so I’m going to bring it up now. Also I posted this on the SW.com forums a million years ago and it got removed by a mod lol.
So in Attack of the Clone and I think parts of Revenge of the Sith there is music that is lifted directly from The Phantom Menace. As far as I know this isn’t the case in any other SW films.
Yes I know that themes and motifs are very frequently reused in the films but these are direct tracks from the TPM score inserted into AOTC. All of this happens during the Geonisis arena scene and subsequent full scale battle.
It’s always stuck me as very odd. Did Williams not have enough time to complete more music for the film? Did George change up stuff at the last minute and they needed to scramble? I know the Droid Factory sequence was added later during reshoots but that mostly borrows music from the Zam Wessel chase at the beginning.
I haven’t thought about this in a long time, but I rewatched the PT in anticipation of Kenobi and wanted to see if I was alone in noticing this. I wouldn’t say it bothers me, but I’ve always found it strange since back in 2002.

Someone knows me from my publications in the Warframe and SWPT discord community, someone knows me from the times when I had an Instagram account with photos from GTA, cyberpunk, RDR, etc. And Someone knows me as an artist and mod creator. It’s hard to catch me in one place/social network - I’ve been doing game photography for more than 8 years (plus I did real-life photography before and in parallel with this), I’m self-taught in drawing and experience in this is half of my life, and some people know what I make soft toys, repaint dinosaurs and draw porny-horny coloring postcards. All my activities do not fit into one account.
I came to Warframe a long time ago, but I went into other games many times to gain creative experience there. For the last two and a half years I've been completely stuck in Warframe. The fact is that my personal projects are unimaginably intertwined with the plot and even small details of the game, which at first really scared me, because my projects appeared earlier.
Now my creativity is aimed at realizing my ideas and connecting these ideas with Warframe. I want to talk about this in more detail further.
I have an idea to gradually create a Warframe coloring book. I decided to conduct an experiment and the first developments are already available for download - these are different variations of the Lotus helmet.
I have been struggling with depression for over a year now. And it is these phrases that sometimes help me get back on the right path of normal life. I created these posters for those who are also depressed and maybe this can help someone like me. In the link these posters are in very high resolution, they can be printed and hung on the wall.
Since I have a lot of experience in game photography, I am creating a large manual about the photo mode in the game for those who want to delve deeper into this creativity and change their thinking and perception of screenshots.

Flufftober August
Gosh, sorry for being late on this rendition of Flufftober by @flufftober month. I was working quite a bit on my later WIPs, and busy with real life stuff that this one kinda swpt by until last minute.
I have to admit, I quite enjoyed working on this one. Especially with exploring the dynamics between the characters here, I couldn't help but want to do it with Elaine and Marielle, and even did a quick sketch of the surroundings they could be at. So I hope you guys enjoy this one!

Elaine struts by, collecting all the things she could find. Weapons, armory and jewlerry. All the things she has found scattered on the floor. Well, so much for try to have a neat room. And when she twists around, she could see the girl who is no more than half her height, reaching to her hips.
And mind you, she ain't a girl.
"Lainy! Hi~!" the girl with her eyes barely showing under her pink domed head says, "Oh goodie, it's so nice to see you today!"
"Do I even want to know how you got into my room?"
"Nope." despite her sweet smile curving through her lips, something tells Elaine that would probably be the case that she has done something. And despite her small size the tentacles from her sides swirl around. Elaine tenses her lip. She's definitely a lot more dangerous than she's letting on.
"so… What are we going to do today?"
"what do you mean?" she gives a forced laugh as she narrows her eyes for the owl that should be there by now. "actually, where's Tynan?"
"Oh, Ty? We're going to him now." she says "I thought that we can both go to him, like we're badass, sister style."
Elaine gives a cackling laugh, "Marielle. You know I have more duties to do than to pretend to be your younger-"
"actually older sister." she gives a stretched smile… Older…?
"How… How old are you?"
"A hundred and fifty six years old." What the…!? "At least, it'd probably translate to… Twenty one cat years?" twenty one what..? Before Elaine could begin to understand it, she thrusts her hand to her fists.
"Stop trying to be funny with me." Elaine says.
"Oh, no, no. It's not me being funny to you at all. It's all seriousness." good grief. Even the way she's facing her with her mouth drooped doesn't make it any easier to say anything that she said is a joke.
"You know… I'm twenty six, but that…" I stare at her. ”That doesn't make any sense."
"You know how you have cat lives…?"
"You mean as in cat lives, right…?"
"yeah, yeah." she says. "I have that sort of thing, but… Limitless." What the hell…?!
"how in the hell is that possible…!?" Elaine says, and her mouth tenses, but then scrunches up.
"I, uhh… regenerate…?” Why is she saying it like it’s the most obvious thing…? “It's complicated to explain, but after getting tired or really hurt, I just… Revive myself?" This is sounding more ridiculous by the minute. "I'm sure you'll see it one of these days!"
"I am going to pretend I never heard you say that."
"Lainy~!" Marielle gives a chided laughter. She is probably the second weirdest– no scratch that, the weirdest Elaine has ever encountered.
"Look, I don't really care how you revive yourself. Just…" She searches her, but then Elaine gives a sigh as she twists away from her. "Let's go and look for Tynan."
"Okay! Cue the music!" the music? What mus–
'My, my, how the seasons go by
I get high, and I love to get low
So the hearts keep breakin', and the heads just roll
You know, that's how the story goes'
God, why does she have to sing? And… Where the hell is that music coming from…!?
'One, two, three, they gonna run back to me

"Marielle, stop!" Elaine says, and gosh, what is with her and laughing so much…?
"Hey, I've got to have some backbeat music somewhere." her smile inches just that bit wider. "especially since I'm walking with my cooler and younger sister~!"
"Yeah, but…" Elaine takes a breath in. If she could only strangle that jellyfish…! But then, something's telling her it would be a mistake if she did that. So she takes a breath in. "We are at a palace. Not at a bar." Elaine says "and I am not your little sister!"
“I know.” She says, “I just like to make you laugh and allll stressed out.” Oh, what…!? So this jellyfish is really doing this on purpose…? She will– “Just joking.” Marielle gives a soft smile, before her big round dress wavers to the side. “Let’s go Lainy. It’s a nice August day, and hey. It’s soon Spring… or Autumn...?”
“It’s fall here.” And her pink dome stares up at her for what seems like a few seconds. Even as the other people are walking past the corridor. Who knows what she’s thinking.
“I knew that.” No, she didn’t. She didn’t. But then she’s turning away…! “Lainy, we have to find Ty soon. We don’t want to keep him waiting.” Of course Marielle doesn’t. But then, Elaine herself didn’t want to keep Tynan waiting either.
“Fine, but you better explain how you got into my room sooner or later.” and Marielle gives a laugh. Something is telling her she won’t get an answer. But it doesn’t matter. It’s different than with all those other people in Lanz’ castle. Serious, rigid and fine. Well, it ought to be time that Elaine herself did something different around here besides sitting still and acting like a princess the whole day.

i honest to god think, by far, the worst job in a galaxy far far away is being the jedi order’s accountant. some poor bastard has to sit there with his little green visor and abacus and count out expenditures for 10,000+ jedi order members (who are a) monks and do not get paid to be monks and b) live for fucking free in space New York City x 1000 so have zero concept of cost of living OR any sense of money management and regularly get scammed into paying triple the amount for muffins and coffee for the break room and routinely do not notice) but also occasionally fun things like a charge of billions of space dollars billed for uhhh an army of millions of men? and you have to chase down grand master yoda and be like um sir, excuse me sir, why is did the order spend $10,000,000,000 on a planet called Kamino for [checks notes] cloning? which i am not sure is legal? and yoda says some vague bullshit like “the will of the force our end of the year fiscal reports are,” because he is 900 years old and still thinks that the currency is ye olde golden doubloon. palpatine cackles ominously in the background because guess who passed econ 101? him, bitch

While I don’t hate continuity, the reason why I only consider movies 1-6 and clone wars 2003 as my canon is because it leaves much room for imagination. We don’t need to be told every little detail of what happened. We have our imaginations and our own interpretations of what happens in between the scenes. I would rather see Star wars as a mythical story and fill in the gaps myself.
