Teostra’s Emblem - Teostra SnS

Another Teostra weapon! Woohoo! 💕 SnS doesn’t get as much love as the other weapon types, but I absolutely adore it. Had fun sculpting and detailing the lion emblem. I wish Lunastra also has a unique weapon design…

As usual, I went all out on the glow pigments. If a gold glow pigment exists, I would have done that, too.

The Triumph of Eirik

In the dark, foreboding swamps of the land of Morthos, a fearsome creature lurked. The hydra, a reptilian horror with a crocodilian body and multiple heads on long, serpentine necks, roamed the murky waters in search of its next meal.

The villagers of the nearby town of Norgard knew of the beast and feared it greatly. Its heads could be severed, but it would always regrow them in short order. It was said that the hydra was created by the Queen of Evil Dragons, Tiamat, who had slain a rival dragon god and cast its blood across the multiverse. Each drop that fell upon a world spawned a multi-headed hydra consumed by an unending hunger.

Great champions had attempted to defeat the creature, but all had failed. Its hunger was insatiable and it would stop at nothing to satiate it. It was said that if it couldn't find food, it would turn on itself, its heads attacking each other as the creature ate itself alive.

One day, a brave young warrior named Eirik decided to take on the challenge. He had grown tired of living in fear of the beast and wanted to protect his village. Armed with a sword and shield, he set out into the swamps to face the hydra.

Eirik was quick and skilled, but the hydra was more formidable than he had imagined. Its multiple heads attacked him from all sides, and it seemed impossible to defeat. But Eirik was determined and he fought on, striking at the heads with his sword and deflecting the creature's attacks with his shield.

Just as it seemed that Eirik would be overwhelmed, he remembered a legend he had heard of a legendary hero who had defeated a hydra by cauterizing its wounds. With this in mind, Eirik set fire to his sword and hacked at the necks of the hydra, sealing the wounds with the flames.

The creature let out a deafening roar and thrashed in the water, but it was too late. Eirik had emerged victorious, and the villagers of Norgard would no longer live in fear of the hydra.

Eirik returned to the village as a hero, hailed by all for his bravery and cunning in defeating the fearsome creature. And from that day on, the swamps of Morthos were safe once more.

Another Velkhana weapon! Just like the others, it’s very detailed-oriented and difficult to paint, but hey, you guys know me by now. The one who commissioned me to do this actually wanted a MUCH simpler SnS (Cat Burglar SNS, I think it was?), but I suggested this instead because I’m a girl who’s a sucker for challenging pieces even if it means having neck cramps for weeks! 😆
